Abstract

The paper analyses changes in educational paradigm due to E-learning technologies introduction into higher technical education. The article considers teachers’ readiness for upcoming changes in educational paradigm. Two educational paradigms are compared: traditional and innovative, formed as a result of E-learning technologies introduction and tended to change roles and functions of higher education participants. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the authors compare two educational paradigms and describe newly established roles and functions of educational process participants. The research findings are as follows: roles and functions of educational process participants under the conditions of higher education modernization are revealed; advantages of the innovative educational model over the traditional one are identified.
