Capital as an economic category. Elements of capital as accounting objects

Subject. This article examines the category of Capital in its various manifestations, the classification of its types, and the characteristics of capital components as accounting objects. Objectives. The article aims to assess the meaning and role of the category of Capital in economic, financial and accounting aspects, substantiate the importance of understanding the content of capital elements as accounting objects in order to improve the quality of accounting and information support of the organization's management system. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of information retrieval, simulation of situations, analysis and synthesis. Results. Based on the study and generalization of historical and modern approaches to substantiating the category of Capital, the article describes the multifaceted nature of this category, evaluates the content of individual elements of capital, and offers recommendations for the classification of capital in its various manifestations in order to form information in the accounting system and accounting (financial) statements. Conclusions and Relevance. The application of the research results in the educational process and practical activities will contribute to the most thorough and deep understanding of the category of Capital, its complexity and versatility. This can help reflect information on capital in accounting (financial) statements in a more correct way, assess the amount of capital and calculate indicators related to it when analyzing the economic activities of economic entities. All this together will affect the quality of management decisions of the organization's management system. The research materials can be used for the study and teaching of accounting disciplines, as well as in the practical activities of specialists in the field of accounting and finance.

PROCESSING, ANALYSIS & ANALYTICS OF BIG DATA FOR THE INNOVATIVE MANAGEMENT

The changes that have taken place in the economy of Ukraine in recent years as a result of the consistent impact of global macroeconomic, epidemiological and military factors of the current deep crisis have actualized for organizations, enterprises and corporations the urgent need to maximize their effectiveness, the key component of which is the innovative management of their complex projects. The primary scientific and practical results presented in the article regarding the specifics of the methodology and technologies of deep intellectual analysis and analytics of Big structured and semi-structured Data in innovative project management must be taken into account during crisis reengineering of the management systems of domestic private and public organizations, enterprises and corporations. Moreover, the obtained results are relevant and applicable for not only local organizations, enterprises and corporations, but for international on emerging markets in the context of future global and regional macroeconomic and possible epidemical crisis phenomena.

Prospects and challenges of digital transformation of the general education system in the Russian Federation

The paper is devoted to the urgent problem of increasing the effectiveness of digital transformation mechanisms in the sphere of general education, aimed at improving the efficiency of functioning of general educational organizations. The analysis of normative legal acts regulating state regulation in the field of information technology application in education, domestic and foreign literature devoted to digital transformation of the economy and society as a whole has been carried out. The main directions of digital transformation of education were analyzed. The lack of elaboration of the issues of digital transformation of general education along with a large number of publications related to higher education institutions is noted. The main technological transformations preceding the current stage of introducing end-to-end technologies in the sphere of general education in the Russian Federation are highlighted. Emphasis is placed on the necessity of digital transformation of general education management. The problems of introducing end-to-end technologies in the sphere of general education management are considered against the background of the acute need to master new technologies and the transition of the economy to a new stage of development. The tasks of digital transformation of education have been studied and the analysis of the reasons hindering the introduction of modern digital technologies has been carried out, which allowed us to identify the need to update not only the methods of conducting the educational process with the use of digital educational content, but also to qualitatively change the management system of a modern educational organization. The study showed that the digital transformation of general education cannot take place without state regulation and research in the field of correlation between the classroom and digital component. Recommendations on the implementation of projects in the system of general education are given, which allow to eliminate the duplication of management functions, reduce the cost of software development and implementation at different levels of education management.

Digitalization of HR Processes as a Key Element of Digital Transformation of an Organization

In recent years, digital technologies have been actively introduced into the management systems of organizations of various profiles. These processes have also affected the sphere of personnel management. In this regard, it seems relevant to study the main directions of digitalization of HR processes as one of the main elements of the digital transformation of the organization as a whole. The purpose of this work is to identify promising directions and features of the digitalization of HR processes at enterprises in the Irkutsk region, as well as factors that impede the introduction of digital technologies into the personnel processes of organizations. The study, conducted on the basis of a sociological survey of experts, made it possible to identify HR processes that are actively being digitized at enterprises in the Irkutsk region; identify digitalization tools (software products) most often used by companies in the region; formulate the main trends in the digitalization of personnel processes inherent in small, medium and large enterprises. The study identified factors that hinder the digital transformation of organizations, including unpreparedness for digitalization (inappropriate structure and culture of the organization), lack of a unified digital transformation strategy, insufficient number of technical specialists, lack or insufficiency of digital competencies among available specialists, staff resistance to innovation, the high cost of digitalization and lack of financial resources, the difficulty of measuring the effect of the introduction of digital technologies and its delay over time, security risks, and other factors. In the article, the authors propose recommendations for increasing the efficiency of digitalization of HR processes based on a systemic approach and developing a strategy for the digital transformation of the organization.

Assessment of the Level of Digitalization of the Organization’s Human Resource Management

The actual problem of assessing the level of digitalization of the human resource management system in modern organizations is considered. The author proposes a method for a comprehensive quantitative assessment of the degree of implementation of digital technologies in personnel processes based on a number of indicators and an index approach. This technique is illustrated by the example of the analysis of HR digitalization of a Belarusian IT company. The proposed system of indicators makes it possible to assess the current state of HR digital transformation and develop recommendations for its further development. The research uses general scientific and economic methods of analysis, interpretive structural modeling, modeling using Markov processes, as well as statistical methods of grouping and classifications. The methodology has practical value.

Digitalization Of Document Management System In Medical Organizations: Theoretical Aspect

Introduction. Modern medical organizations, multifunctional medical centers, public and private medical institutions actively use digital technologies such as document management systems to optimize internal business processes and increase the efficiency. Proper document management and easy access improve the workflow. Thus, integration and development of advanced digital products allow medical organizations to ensure efficient time management which, in turn, reduces costs and saves time.
 The purpose of the study was to present theoretical aspects of digitalization of document management system in medical organizations as a modern organizational and managerial process that ensures the effectiveness of healthcare development. 
 Materials and methods. Content analysis of scientific literature on the development and implementation of document management systems, transfer of documents to electronic version, introduction of digital technologies upon the specifics of medical organizations was used.
 Results. The study showed that document management systems currently run up document-based information lifecycle management. Their active implementation began in the 2000s, and it is expected that the market volume of document management systems will grow from 6.57 billion US dollars in 2023 to 12.94 billion US dollars by 2028, on average by 14.50% during the forecast period (2023-2028). Significant amounts of health data are collected manually using various internal IT-systems and numerous collections of documents, databases and forms. The introduction of document management systems allows healthcare actors to create electronic patient records, thereby minimizing the risk of documentation loss and increasing security. It is assumed that in the near future all the system will be based on digital solutions aimed at solving routine tasks such as document management, storage and use. These trends provide solutions to the problems that medical organizations may face and ensure effective strategies based on the digitalization of document management systems.

Development of Event Management System in Professional Organization of Indonesian Professional Assessors Association (IASPRO) Using User Centered Design Method

An organization usually has events that need to be publicized to the wider community. The Indonesian Professional Assessors Association (IASPRO) only uses social media to publicize events such as seminars, workshops, or other events that are held. As a result, many organizational members or potential participants do not know that the event is being held or are even confused about registering and finding out what the participant quota for the event is. To make it easier for potential participants, a system is needed to organize event publication and registration. Therefore, an event management system is created, namely a web-based application with a User-centered Design approach. The use of the User-centered Design method aims to produce a system that suits the needs and comfort of the user. At the testing stage, the author uses the System Usability Scale method to evaluate the system interface, and black box testing to measure software functionality and ensure the software meets user needs. Test results using the System Usability Scale obtained an Acceptability range value of 81.67 with Grade A, with these results it is certain that users are satisfied with the current interface design.

Attitude towards the risk-based approach implementation into the russian healthcare system among employees of medical organizations

Aim of the study was to develop recommendations for improving procedures and unifying the content of risk management of the healthcare system to preserve public health based on an analysis of the opinions of doctors, organizers and experts of the healthcare system. Material and methods. As part of a quantitative online survey conducted from September to December, 2022, 104 respondents working in the healthcare system of the Russian Federation were interviewed. Additionally, 6 in-depth interviews were conducted with the organizers and experts of the healthcare sector as part of a qualitative sociological study. Desk research included analysis of scientific literature, and the regulatory framework related to the introduction of a risk-based approach to healthcare. Results and discussion. The article presents an analysis the perception of risks in healthcare by doctors, organizers and experts at the level of a medical organization, of the healthcare system and of public health (macro level), with the identification and classification of the main risk groups, on the basis of which risk-management’ measures can be built. The results of the study testify to the insufficiently deep introduction of risk management into the management system of medical organizations. The half of the respondents noted the low and extremely low level of risk management principles’ usage in their own organizations (50 % of respondents) and in Russian medical organizations in general (58.6 % of respondents). At the same time, from a third to a half of the participants found that it was difficult to answer about risk management implementation in their organizations, due to the lack of a unified methodology, imperfection of standards and quality control system of this set of measures, lack of specialists who could manage risks, lack of educational activities. To introduce a systematic approach to the unification of risk management processes, it is necessary to develop and approve the methodology of best practices, as well as take care of the training of specialists. Conclusions. In order to implement a systematic approach to the unification of risk management processes, it is necessary to develop and approve a methodology of best practices, as well as to take care of the training of specialists. It is imperative that hospital managers and staff focus on improving the organizational culture of patient safety management as the basis for their mission to preserve public health. It is necessary to continue further research in this direction in order to develop a strategy for countering risks at the level of public health as a medical and social resource of society.

ChatGPT: a game changer for knowledge management in organizations

PurposeGenerative AI and more specifically ChatGPT has brought a revolution in the lives of people by providing them with required knowledge that it has learnt from an exponentially large knowledge base. In this viewpoint, we are initiating the debate and offer the first step towards Generative AI based knowledge management systems in organizations.Design/methodology/approachThis study is a viewpoint and develops a conceptual foundation using existing literature on how ChatGPT can enhance the KM capability based on Nonaka’s SECI model. It further supports the concept by collecting data from a public sector univesity in Hong Kong to strenghten our argument of ChatGPT mediated knowledge management system.FindingsWe posit that all four processes, that is Socialization, Externalization, Combination and Internalization can significantly improve when integrated with ChatGPT. ChatGPT users are, in general, satisfied with the use of ChatGPT being capable of facilitating knowledge generation and flow in organizations.Research limitations/implicationsThe study provides a conceptual foundation to further the knowledge on how ChatGPT can be integrated within organizations to enhance the knowledge management capability of organizations. Further, it develops an understanding on how managers and executives can use ChatGPT for effective knowledge management through improving the four processes of Nonaka’s SECI model.Originality/valueThis is one of the earliest studies on the linkage of knowledge management with ChatGPT and lays a foundation for ChatGPT mediated knowledge management system in organizations.

Improving the risk management process in quality management systems of higher education

The purpose of this paper is to improve the risk management process in the quality management system of higher education, taking into account the hazardous factors that increase the probability of occurrence and severity of consequences of undesirable events, as well as favorable factors that reduce the probability of occurrence and severity of consequences of hazardous events. The basis of risk management in the quality management systems of higher education institutions is the “Bowtie” method, which involves six main steps of identifying inconsistency, determining the impact of hazardous and favorable factors according to the impact group, ranking hazardous and favorable factors, calculating risk, substantiating precautionary measures and checking calculations. To rank hazardous and favorable factors, the authors used the “Decision Making Trial and Evaluation” method (hereinafter—DE-MATEL), which is based on paired comparison and decision-making tools based on graph theory. An improved process is proposed for risk assessment, which differs from the known ones by the presence of the identification of the cause-and-effect relationship “hazard (inconsistency)-hazardous event-consequences”, identification of hazardous and favorable factors of the internal and external environment that affect the probability and/or the degree of severity of a hazardous event—the appearance of an inconsistency, which is carried out after the inconsistency has been determined; determination of causal hazardous and favorable factors by an acceptable method. Registers of inconsistencies (hazards), hazardous and favorable factors have been developed and proposed based on the requirements for accreditation of educational programs and the international standard ISO 9001:2015, which will allow, based on a risk-oriented approach, to provide a basis for setting the goals of a higher education institution under martial law in order to guarantee effective implementation of the mission and strategy. They are proposed for decision-making in the quality management systems of educational organizations on the substantiation of precautionary or corrective measures based on ranking the risks from identified inconsistencies, which are determined taking into account the impact of the entire set of identified significant hazardous and favorable factors. The value of this paper is to improve the quality risk management process in educational organizations, taking into account the impact of hazardous and favorable factors, and to develop an appropriate step-by-step algorithm of actions and a risk assessment form.

An Analysis of the Implementation of a Quality Management System in Intellectual Property Organization

Intellectual property includes the legal rights and protection afforded to innovation and creativity, such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. An „intellectual property protection organisation” refers to an institution whose management focuses its activities and efforts on the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR). These organisations’ primary mission is to provide support and services for the protection and administration of the intellectual property rights of individuals, companies, or other entities. Quality Management System (QMS) is a strategic approach adopted by organisations to ensure the quality of products or services offered. This system aims at the satisfaction of activities and the achievement of organisational objectives, in accordance with international standards, such as ISO 9001:2015. Analysis of the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) in intellectual property organisations, including a complex and strategic process involving the evaluation, planning, and detailed implementation of the system to ensure success and compliance with organisational standards.

Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Kinerja Organisasi Bawaslu Republik Indonesia

This research examines the factors that influence the performance of Bawaslu RI, namely using organizational culture variables, change management and information system success. This research uses descriptive analysis and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)-Lisrel statistical method. Data was collected from questionnaires distributed and returned from 325 Bawaslu members in Indonesia as respondents. The results of the study show that organizational culture, change management and the success of information systems have a positive and significant effect on the performance of Bawaslu RI.

A Resource-Based View Assessment of Big Data Analysis and Its Impact on Strategic Human Resources Quality Management Systems

Big data analysis is a process to analyze all the structured and unstructured and semi structured data collected from different types of sources. Therefore, collecting proper data and information from different sources is very important for any business organization and analysis of those data is also important. Thus, collecting information from different sources helps to gain knowledge about the demands and needs of the customers and market. Whereas analyzing all the data helps to understand the market trends which are helpful to enhance business performance. Apart from that, human resource management is another important system of any business organization. Therefore, human resource management is a strategy process or system which helps to enhance the productivity of the business organizations. Along with that there is a big impact of big data analysis on the human resources management system and the impacts are analyzed in this particular research study. On the other hand, the purpose of this research study is to analyze the concept of resource based big data analysis. Apart from that, the impact of big data analysis on the strategic human resource management systems of the business organizations is another purpose of this particular research study. Thereafter the researcher has adopted several types of techniques and methods for collecting more information and analyzing all the data. Furthermore, research has used the secondary methods and the sources for collecting some accurate and genuine data about big data analysis and human resource management systems. Apart from that the research has used the qualitative techniques for analyzing all the collected data in a systematic review. Therefore, the uses of secondary sources help the researcher to gain knowledge about the process of big data analysis and the process of human resource management. Thus, impact of big data analysis on the human resource management system is analyzed in this particular research study.

Nursing experience and leadership skills among staff nurses and intern nursing students in Saudi Arabia: a mixed methods study

BackgroundNurse leaders have a crucial impact in healthcare settings. Hospitals require qualified nurses with leadership skills to provide healthy work environments and enhance the outcomes related to staff nurses and patients. This study aimed to investigate the effect of nursing experience on leadership skills among staff nurses and intern nursing students.MethodsA mixed methods design was applied (quantitative survey design for quantitative part and open-ended questions for qualitative part). Convenience sampling of staff nurses and intern nursing students in Saudi Arabia was applied. There were148 participants who completed the survey of the quantitative part, and 50 of them completed the qualitative part. Participants completed the Leadership Practice Inventory Questionnaire. SPSS v26 was used to analyze quantitative part, and thematic analysis was used to analyze qualitative part.ResultsThis study found a significance difference among participating groups regarding to the years of experience (F = 5.05, p = 0.00). Three themes were found for the qualitative part which were strategies to enhance leadership skills, factors affecting leadership skills, and obstacles facing participants related to leadership skills. The qualitative data also revealed that participants found that clinical supervision and education ways to enhance the leadership skills, while work pressure, work environment and communication were obstacles of developing their leadership skills.ConclusionLeadership skills are considered as a significant component of the function of qualified nurses and should be viewed as central to intern nursing students’ learning development. Moreover, leadership skills are essential for the patient and organization outcomes. Nursing colleges and educators play an important role in enhancing to leadership skills as well as experience. Nurse leaders can create healthy care environments that have high quality and safety for patients. Management systems in healthcare organizations must motivate and support clinical leaders who can recognize both individual and clinical requirements and address current issues in their field.

“Thriving at work” or not? Research on the effects of performance pressure based on achievement motivation theory and two-factor theory

PurposeBased on achievement motivation theory and two-factor theory, this research aimed to synergize cooperative goal interdependence (refer to possessing incentive factors) and illegitimate tasks (refer to the absence of security factors) and build a triple interaction model in the process of performance pressure affecting employees’ thriving at work.Design/methodology/approachThis research collected 291 valid data through a two-point time-lagged method to test the direct effect of performance pressure on employees’ thriving at work and its moderating mechanism.FindingsPerformance pressure has a significant positive effect on employees’ thriving at work. Cooperative goal interdependence imposes an enhanced moderating effect between performance pressure and employees’ thriving at work. Illegitimate task imposes an interfering moderating effect between performance pressure and employees’ thriving at work and further interferes the enhanced moderating effect of cooperative goal interdependence.Practical implicationsUnder the premise of advocating for employees to internalize performance pressure originating from the organizational performance management system into their own achievement motivation, leaders should establish incentive systems and security systems for employees to realize self-achievement through the process of goal management and task management.Originality/valueThis research confirmed the joint determination of incentive effect and insecurity effect on employees’ achievement motivation by cooperative goal interdependence and illegitimate task and revealed the boundary conditions of employees’ choice of thriving at work.

Business management technologies in the management system

The study considered approaches to defining "management system" and "management technology," characterized their classification, and established the relationship between them. It was determined that the main elements of management are systems, processes, management decisions, and labor resources, and the organizational management system is one of the main concepts of organizational theory and is closely related to goals, functions, management processes, and the work of managers. It is proven that the entire management process takes place within the framework of this system, in which managers of all levels, categories, and fields of knowledge participate. It was determined that the basis of the management system is technology, which is precisely the tool by which the transformation process of systems takes place. Technologies, through the subject of management, influence the object. It is proven that management technologies have a clearly defined goal of ensuring the transformation of the management object from the initial state to a new target competitive state or quality or to ensure its guaranteed effective functioning. The improvement of the social development system of the team, which leads to an increase in the social activity of the staff, an increase in the efficiency of the enterprise, and an increase in the material well-being of the staff, is considered. It has been studied that the most common method in our country is the thematic and sectoral grouping of technologies according to the relevant sections of management, management functions, and the main perspectives of management. Given the global tendency of the role of human resources to prevail over factors of a material and technical nature and the problems of the social sphere of management, the use of grading and sociometric technologies is proposed as the most effective among those considered to solve the problems existing at domestic enterprises. Talent Management Strategies and Service Delivery in County Governments in Kenya

A proactive human resource management (HRM) system in public sector organizations is critical for effective public service delivery. However, sub-national(county) governments (SNGs) in Kenya faced significant challenges in acquiring and retaining talented staff because of a labour supply and demand mismatch. Based on the challenge, the study evaluated the nature of the talent management strategies and their influence on service delivery in sub-national governments in Kenya. The study utilized the descriptive design and critically examined the HRM structures by sampling 140 respondents (47 county secretaries, 47 county directors of HRM and 46 municipality managers from municipalities based at the county headquarters of 46 counties) through interviews and questionnaires. The respondents were chosen based on their functional human resource management roles in the counties. The research instrument was validated through a panel review and piloted in three counties. The qualitative reports support the establishment and strengthening of county HR structure and systems, building staff capacity through training, and adopting talent management policies and practices to reduce staff turnover. This process would optimize staff competencies in sustaining service provisions at the county level. The correlation analysis indicated that service delivery positively correlated with talent management strategies (r = 0.6731, p< 0.05) at 0.05 significance levels, while the regression analysis revealed that talent management strategies explain about 45.30 % variance in service delivery with an effect size (β1 = 0.6210 (t = 10.6, p < 0.05). Based on the findings, the study concluded that talent management strategies are crucial to improving service delivery in Kenya's sub-national(county) governments. The study recommends proactive planning and adequately structuring the county's workforce based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics. The study suggests that county governance structures should integrate and concretize the HRM initiatives geared towards talent management

Methods of sales promotion in the organization’s management system

The management system of a modern organization includes the development and application of methods to stimulate sales of its products to consumers. The sale of finished products is the final stage of the entire production process of the enterprise, which begins with the investment of financial resources in raw materials and ends with the provision of manufactured products to the final buyer.The relevance of issues related to the development and application of sales promotion methods in the organization’s management system in the modern market is increasing every day, since the level of consumer demand for finished products is an important point in the organization’s activities: the higher it is, the higher the efficiency of the enterprise and its profitability. The significance of the study of the sales management system in an organization is that in the conditions of a developing market and growing competition between sellers for sales markets, there is a need to debug marketing communications for each enterprise, therefore, the development and application of sales promotion methods, including a set of measures to stimulate personnel responsible for sales, the introduction of a corporate employee training system, constitute an integral part in the management system of organizations.

The present study is aimed at examining the issue of ways to improve the organization's management system in the conditions of digitalization. The study highlights the main trends in the field under consideration, taking into account the specificity of the orientation of the mechanisms present in them, and also identifies the main challenges that are inevitably encountered when implementing the systems under consideration.

Barriers to Implementing Succession Planning in Government Organizations with a Structural Interpretive Approach

Objective: Nowadays, an effective management system in government organizations leads to vibrant life and the growth and development of the country. To benefit from such a system, competent and suitable managers must exist within the organization's lifecycle, and in their absence, the organization should have access to alternative human resources. The purpose of this study is to investigate the barriers to implementing succession planning in government organizations using a structural interpretive approach. Methodology: This research is practical and falls within the category of descriptive surveys. Data analysis is performed using a structural interpretive approach, specifically the cross-impact matrix multiplication method, with the help of MICMAC software. Findings: The findings include 84 indicators or variables that have been identified and categorized into 14 categories across seven levels as barriers to implementing succession planning. The research also shows that legal barriers are the most significant, while individual barriers are the most impacted by other influential factors in implementing succession planning. Conclusion: Based on the research findings regarding human resources barriers, it is recommended that managers focus on identifying and nurturing internal talents, paying sufficient attention to talent management, and understanding the importance of planning for optimal talent management.
