Praise the presence of Almighty God for the 2019 National Physics Seminar in Tadulako University (SNF 2019 Untad). Basically, the implementation of this national seminar coincided with the first year anniversary of the earthquake, liquefaction and tsunami that struck Palu, Sigi and Donggala, which claimed many lives. For this reason, the committee choose the theme of “Natural Disasters in Science Perceptions”. It is hoped that the material presented by the keynote speaker can bring a scientific explanation of the natural disaster that occurred on September 28, 2018.This national seminar was attended by lecturers and researchers in the fields of physics and related fields. The participants came from various universities and research institutions. Topics offered at this national seminar range from educational physics, theoretical physics and computing, nuclear physics and the environment, geophysics, material physics and energy, cosmology and astrophysics, medical physics, marine physics, atmospheric science, biophysics and other fields of science. There are 52 papers to be presented (oral presentation), however, only 36 papers have been selected through a review process to be published in the JPCS from IOP.Through this opportunity, we on behalf of the 2019 SNF Committee would like to thank the Rector of Tadulako University, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Untad, Chair of the Physics Department, Chair of the Physics Study Program and Chair of the Geophysical Engineering Study Program for all their support for the implementation of this national seminar. Our highest thanks go to the keynote speakers: Governor of Central Sulawesi, Dr. Daryono, M.Sc. (Head of BMKG Earthquake and Tsunami Mitigation), Dr. Andri Dian Nugraha, M.Eng. (Chair of the Association of Indonesian Geophysics Experts (HAGI)), Suratman Natayuda, M.Sc. (Practitioners of Material Physics), and Dr. Muhammad Rusydi, M.Sc. (Head of LPPM Untad). Our great appreciation is also addressed to participants from various public and private tertiary institutions and departmental and non-departmental institutions in Indonesia. The presence of all presenter in this seminar contributed to improving scientific progress, especially in the fields of physics and related matters. For additional activity for the SNF 2019, we conduct a Field Trip (Geo-Tourism Activities) on 29 September 2019 which is led by Drs. Abdullah, MT as an earth expert from Physics Department, Tadulako University. Basically, in this activity, we visited locations that were affected by the earthquake on 28 September 2018, especially in areas along the Palu-Koro Fault. We apologize, if in case during this activity there are things that are not pleasing. We congratulate you on joining the 2019 National Physics Seminar and hope that our hopes and dreams will be realized.Chairman of the 2019 SNF Committee UntadElisa Sesa, Ph.D.SNF 2019 Untad – Committee, SNF 2019 Untad in Pictures all photos are available in the pdf
