Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in realizing quality education at Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Putri Junior High School

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still several schools that have not been fully able to show efforts in realizing the SDGs goal 4, namely quality education. This study aims to describe and analyze the steps taken in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of the implementation of SDGs in realizing quality education at Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School. In addition, this study also identifies the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of SDGs to achieve quality education at the school. This study uses a qualitative approach and case study method with observational data collection techniques, interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School Putri has implemented the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) in realizing quality education with the implementation of the Independent Curriculum and the Daarut Tauhid Islamic Boarding School Curriculum which focuses on character education in the form of good and strong character (BAKU). The BAKU character consists of six character assessments, namely sincerity, honesty, tawadhu, courage, discipline, and resilience. The pesantren curriculum has 4 curriculum pillars, namely: ma'rifatullah, entrepreneurship, leadership, and environmental insight.

Business Strategy and Enterprise Modeling: Nokia Case Study

This study aims to analyze the main causes of Nokia's market share decline and formulate recovery strategies using the PESTEL framework, Porter’s Five Forces analysis, and SWOT. The research adopts a case study method, collecting data from Nokia’s financial reports, industry reports, and relevant academic literature. Key findings reveal that Nokia’s delayed adoption of smartphone technology and internal management conflicts significantly contributed to the company’s downfall. Additionally, the PESTEL analysis highlights external challenges such as shifting consumer preferences and intense technological competition. Based on the analysis, strategic recommendations include adopting a Blue Ocean strategy, internal restructuring, and enhancing technological innovation to regain Nokia's competitive advantage. This research provides valuable insights into how technology companies can avoid decline in rapidly changing industries.

Resource mobilization and technology adoption by small firms to co-create opportunities in uncertain environments

PurposeResource mobilization and technology adoption by small firms are mainly studied separately, although considering them together is crucial for understanding how resources are accessed and mobilized to address uncertainty. Moreover, the authors know little about how small firms pursue new opportunities in a constantly changing environment. The purpose of this study is to investigate how small firms adopt technologies to engage different stakeholders and facilitate the access and mobilization of key resources in the opportunity co-creation process.Design/methodology/approachThis study applied a qualitative case study method and conducted 14 interviews with co-founders or top managers of five small firms in Iran.FindingsThe findings reveal how small firms adopt technologies to access and mobilize social, human, psychological and financial resources in a highly uncertain environment to co-create new opportunities.Research limitations/implicationsFirst, the study applies a cross-sectional approach. Therefore, it does not capture longitudinal aspects that might impact resource mobilization and technology adoption over time. Second, the selected five case firms represent rather successful firms, each of which adopted different technologies to challenge the established structure of the market. That is, this study did not focus on unsuccessful cases that would enrich the theory further.Originality/valueThis study reveals how small firms adopt new technologies to mobilize resources and co-create opportunities in highly uncertain environments. It reveals that small firms employ technology adoption strategies to utilize operant resources and accelerate operand resource mobilization. Active learning plays a critical role in this process.

Analysis of the Strictu Sensu Postgraduate Program Management from The Perspective of Strategy as Social Practice: the Experience of the Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul

Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate how occurred the formation of the strategy for implementing stricto sensu postgraduate studies at the Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul (UFFS), with the intention of understanding the strategizing based on the empirical data collected. Theoretical Framework: In this topic, the main concepts and theories that underpin the research are presented. The Strategy as Social Practice (SAP) and the stricto sensu postgraduate in Brazil stand out, providing a solid basis for a contextualized understanding of the phenomenon investigated. Method: The methodology used for this research comprises a qualitative approach, with a descriptive and interpretative Case Study method. Data collection was carried out through eleven in-depth semi-structured interviews, bibliographic and documentary research, treated based on the five phases defined by Yin (2016), combined with the three phases proposed by Bardin (2011) in content analysis. Results and Discussion: The results obtained revealed how SAP occurred in stricto sensu postgraduate. In the discussion section, these results are contextualized based on the theoretical framework, highlighting the implications and relationships identified. Possible discrepancies and limitations of the study are also considered in this section. Research Implications: The practical and theoretical implications of this research are discussed, providing insights into how the results can be applied or influence practices in the field of Postgraduate Management. These implications may include other institutions with interests in stricto sensu postgraduate management. Originality/Value: Adds originality to the fact of describing and analyzing the implementation of stricto sensu postgraduate in a university created in 2009, which in 10 years implemented 15 stricto sensu postgraduate program to internalize research and maintain university status. This study contributes to the literature by presenting a detailed and unprecedented analysis of the development of stricto sensu postgraduate from the perspective of SAP, in addition to offering insights for improving stricto sensu postgraduate management at UFFS and serving other institutions.

Manajemen Event Dalam Penguatan Branding Kota Wisata dan Budaya

Entertainment is a human need fulfilled through tourism, which not only provides enjoyment but also offers new experiences. The tourism sector has significant potential to boost local and national economies, requiring effective management and promotion through various strategies, including events. This research highlights the crucial role of event management in strengthening the branding of Sawahlunto City as a "Cultural Mining Tourism City," focusing on how events can be designed, managed, and evaluated to support the city's identity. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results showed that the event management was still far from what should be done. This can be seen from several points that are not well implemented in the procurement of the event.Research that is seen from the shortcomings related to preliminary research that should be done before event planning. Design that has been done quite well by the city government of Sawahlunto. Planning is seen from the city government of Sawahlunto has been in accordance with what should be related to event planning to brand the city. Coordination is seen that the Sawahlunto city government pays less attention to this. And evaluation is not done by the city government of Sawahlunto.

Local Wisdom-Based Skills Apprenticeship Process for Women Ex-Migrant Workers in Kediren Village, Magetan District, Indonesia

Kediren Village is a village where most women of productive age from the village are former migrant workers who have minimal skills and knowledge when returning to their hometown. The skills apprenticeship process organized by the Head of Kediren Village aims to reduce the population's poverty rate and unemployment for former migrant workers. Skills apprenticeships organized based on local wisdom can positively impact women who are former migrant workers, including providing additional activities that can be carried out to earn additional income. This research examines the importance of skills apprenticeships for female former migrant workers in Kediren Village. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The location of this research is Kediren Village, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency, East Java. The informant criteria included the Kediren village head, chief, female former migrant workers, stakeholders, and community leaders as data sources in the research. Data was collected using in-depth interview techniques, observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. This research shows that the skills apprenticeship process aimed at female ex-migrant workers can positively impact their ability to make traditional batik to support progress in improving the village economy and for individuals, as well as actively participating in activities organized by the chief executive. Research suggestions are aimed at female former migrant workers to develop the learning they have obtained in their daily activities and as an ongoing entrepreneurial field.

Family Relationships and Parenting Dynamics in Blended Families

The main objective of this pilot study was to learn about family relationships and parenting dynamics in blended families from the perspective of individual members. Previous research on blended families has typically focused on various aspects of their functioning from the viewpoint of selected family members. However, there is a lack of studies that cover all members of blended families and examine different issues from a systemic perspective. This study was carried out using a qualitative research strategy based on an interpretive paradigm, employing the case study method. Five blended families were included in the research, and methodological triangulation was applied. The study provides a detailed description of family relationships in the sampled blended families in terms of structure, bonds, and parenting dynamics, within the context of parental attitudes and competencies, as well as resources for coping with the challenges of family life. Blended families with a longer shared history demonstrate better functioning principles, more effective communication techniques, and greater balance in terms of cohesion and flexibility.

Upaya Pemerintah Dalam Mengelola Diversity Sumber Daya Manusia Di Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Barat

Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Barat is an area rich in cultural diversity, religion and strong customary traditions, and is inhabited by people with diverse ethnic backgrounds, including Batak and Malay. This diversity, although a great potential, also presents challenges for sub-district government organizations, especially in managing ethnic and cultural differences that can trigger social tensions. Issues of discrimination and unequal access to economic resources and employment opportunities are also issues that require serious attention. In addition, the limited political participation of some groups threatens the balance of representation in the sub-district government. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to identify the challenges faced by the sub-district government in managing human resource diversity. The results show that appropriate strategies and policies are needed to create harmony in managing such diversity. Three main efforts that can be made by the sub-district government include: a) organizing cross-cultural training programs, b) implementing inclusive policies to ensure equal opportunities for all individuals, and c) building a monitoring and evaluation system to ensure effectiveness and transparency in managing HR diversity.

Are Aqidah Akhlak Teachers In Private Madrasahs More Creative than Those in Public Madrasahs? A Case Study

Moral education plays a crucial role in shaping student characteristics. The lack of creativity in teaching Aqidah Akhlak poses a barrier to effective character development. Therefore, this study analyzed the creativity of teachers in teaching Aqidah Akhlak in public and private senior high schools. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. The research participants were six Aqidah Akhlak teachers, 12 students from two public Islamic senior high schools, and four private Islamic senior high schools in Bantul Regency, Indonesia. The results indicate that teacher creativity in teaching Aqidah Akhlak is more prominent in private schools than in public schools. Teachers in priate schools show better performance in developing creative learning strategies, presenting more interesting material, and creating a more interactive learning environment so that students can be actively involved in the learning process, understand religious values, and internalize them in their daily lives. One creative approach that resonates with students is the "confide-in" session during lessons, which boosts their enthusiasm and encourages positive behavior.

Management of Tahfidz Quran Programs in Shaping Elementary Students' Character

The current study intends to analyze the management of the Tahfidz program in shaping students' character. The non-mulazamah program became the subject of the study. A qualitative approach using a case study method was employed in this study. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were generated from the analysis process, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the management of the Tahfidz program was successful in shaping students’ characters based on four indicators. First, in the planning stage, the madrasah conducted a need analysis and prepared stakeholders to ensure proficiency in reading the Qur'an, creating an ideal learning environment. Second, in organizing the Tahfidz program, the madrasah had a clear purpose, well-defined job responsibilities, and adequate facilities to support the program. Third, the Madrasah leaders implemented a situational leadership style during the program's execution. Finally, in the control phase, the management team ensured that the program produced quality outcomes, with many students surpassing the expected targets. The study indicates that the Tahfidz program nurtures students’ characteristics such as discipline, responsibility, independence, and compliance.

The Role of Technological Innovation in Sustainable Business Growth

This paper establishes the contribution of technological innovations toward sustainable business growth through Apple and Google and the relationship between technological innovation, environmental sustainability, and social impacts. This research employs the case-study method to address holistically the implications of technological innovation on sustainable business growth, with a focus on the selected firms of Google and Apple as cases. The research focused on these tech giants because they are the pioneers who have a massive influence on technological innovation. The data for this research were collected from secondary sources, such as academic articles and industry reports. Through the application of Critical Literature Review techniques, this study scrutinizes the impact of Google's and Apple's innovations as regards the environment, and also social issues. The study findings show that while it is obvious that both Apple and Google chose different parts in achieving sustainable development, both companies have greatly impacted the tech industry based on the creative products and services they provide. It was also revealed that both companies heavily invest a lot in research and development (R&D). Today, both companies are leaders in the world of renewable energy usage. Finally, the study concludes that future emerging technological trends like Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Blockchain will keep shaping the space of innovation and sustainability practices. Therefore, organizations need to keep up with these trends to be able to address the challenges that accompany them, such as privacy issues, regulatory changes, as well as ethical responsibilities.

Implementasi Moderasi Beragama Sebagai Upaya Pembentukan Karakter Moderat MTsS Nur Bahri Desa Bubun

Religious moderation plays an important role in everyday life, helping individuals to avoid radical and extreme attitudes in the face of diversity and difference. The lack of understanding about religious moderation, especially in MTsS Nur Bahri, Bubun Village, Tanjung Pura District, Langkat Regency, is the reason the author raises this issue. This article aims to provide an overview of the implementation of religious moderation and how it can shape tolerant, patriot, socially concerned, and just characters. The author uses a qualitative research approach with a case study method, involving observation and discussion. Data were collected through seminars that were part of the real work lecture (KKN) activities. The findings showed that religious moderation at MTsS Nur Bahri in Bubun Village received a positive response and supported its implementation. One of the pillars of religious moderation that has been implemented is the attitude of tolerance towards differences, both in terms of religion, ethnicity, and opinion. This shows that the implementation of religious moderation in the school has succeeded in forming a tolerant attitude among teachers and students.

Social Capital Development for Sustainable Community: Case Study on Sekolah Master Indonesia (SMI)

Community sustainability often comes to a halt at the stage of community organizational change, especially in the context of leaders. Further studies on the focus on empowering community organizations need to be strengthened to support sustainable communities. The case study method was used in this study with the research subject of community regeneration of the Sekolah Master Indonesia (SMI) located in Depok. The results of the study show that even though SMI has managed to survive for 24 years, it has not let go of the community's concerns in the sustainability of community leadership. SMI's success in carrying out components that support community sustainability has not covered the chaos when there is a change in leadership. The focus on strengthening the capacity of organizational resources is important to anticipate from the beginning, so that the empowerment of community members is felt thoroughly by every community member who can be the successor in community regeneration.

Legal Implementation of Domestic Violence: A Case Study of Military Justice and Social Issues in Ambon, Indonesia

Law enforcement of domestic violence (DV) cases involving members of the military in Indonesia presents unique and complex challenges, particularly as it involves the overlap between general criminal law and military criminal law. This study analyses the relevant legal foundations, namely the Military Criminal Code (KUHPM) and Law No. 23/2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence (PKDRT Law), in the context of handling domestic violence cases committed by members of the military. Using a case study method and interviews with victim-witnesses, this research reveals that the application of the law against domestic violence in the military often faces obstacles due to the military hierarchy and strict corps values. The research findings suggest the need for stronger integration between military and civilian legal frameworks, as well as policy reforms in the procedures for handling domestic violence cases in the military to ensure fairer and more transparent justice. In addition, the study also proposes the establishment of a special unit to handle domestic violence in the military, improved gender-sensitive training, and stricter implementation of a "Zero Tolerance" policy to prevent and effectively handle domestic violence cases. These reforms are expected to strengthen military integrity and discipline and protect the rights of victims of domestic violence in Indonesia.

Analysis of Information Technology Proficiency Levels For Academic Services Using The Cobit 2019 Framework: Case Study of SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta

This research intends to analyze the level of capability of information technology (IT) in academic services at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta using the COBIT 2019 framework. The background of this research is the important role of information technology in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the learning process in educational institutions. COBIT 2019 was chosen as a framework because it is a best practice in IT governance that can help institutions achieve their strategic goals. This research focuses on the IT governance process implemented at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta, the maturity level of existing information system governance, and recommendations for improving IT governance. The case study method is used with limitations on the domain within Align, Place and Organize (APO) 09 dan Deliver, Service and Support (DSS) 01 the COBIT 2019 framework. Research findings show that IT governance at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta is at a certain level of capability that needs to be improved. This research provides recommendations for improving academic services through improving IT governance. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference in determining IT policies at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta and contribute to the development of knowledge in the field of information technology governance.

Penerapan Kearifan Lokal di Bandar Udara Internasional Sam Ratulangi di Manado

Sam Ratulangi International Airport in Manado plays a strategic role as the main gateway for tourists visiting North Sulawesi, making significant contributions to local tourism and the economy. The implementation of local wisdom at this airport, such as the use of regional languages and the integration of cultural elements in terminal design, aims to enrich the tourist experience and showcase the cultural richness of North Sulawesi. However, challenges remain regarding capacity and service quality, as well as maintaining the authenticity of local culture. This study aims to analyze how the application of local wisdom at Sam Ratulangi International Airport impacts the tourist experience in North Sulawesi and to evaluate the local cultural values implemented at the airport in enhancing the visitor experience. The research design uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to assess the application of local wisdom at Sam Ratulangi International Airport, Manado. The study, conducted in July 2024, combines interviews, observations, and documentation to gather data. Interviews with airport managers, local communities, and passengers provide insights into the impact of local wisdom. Observations focus on cultural elements at the airport, while documentation includes official data and relevant literature. Data validity is tested through triangulation of techniques and sources. Data analysis involves reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to address or refine the research problem. The study findings indicate that the application of local wisdom at Sam Ratulangi International Airport, such as traditional Kolintang music, batik exhibitions, and the use of regional languages, enhances the tourist experience by creating a distinctive atmosphere that introduces North Sulawesi's culture. Local values such as "mapalus" (community cooperation) and "torang samua basudara" (we are all brothers) are reflected in the friendly and efficient service, leaving a positive impression and shaping tourists' views of the region as rich in culture and humanitarian values.

A study into the nature of business acceleration services as a public sector: Assessment and recommendations

Subject. This article deals with the issues of development of entrepreneurship and job creation in the regions of Russia. Objectives. The article aims to assess the demand for and quality of acceleration programmes implemented in the regions of Russia. Methods. For the study, we used systems, statistical, and content analyses, and the case study method. Results. The article finds that there are three acceleration services that are the most common in the regions of Russia, namely, training, mentors' assistance, and evaluation, verification, and the idea and product examination. The article presents an author-developed and tested methodological approach, which can help identify the completeness and quality of acceleration services. As well, the article presents certain recommendations for the acceleration system's development in the regions of Russia. Conclusions. The practical use of the study results may contribute to the acceleration of the entrepreneurship development in Russia.

서울시민 힐링프로젝트 마음온 치유활동가의 치유적 경험에 대한 사례연구

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the healing experiences of healing activists participating in the Seoul Citizens’ Healing Project Maeum-on Program and to examine the implications of these experiences to the counseling site. Methods Using qualitative case study methods, we selected five healing activists who were part of a team as research participants from June to August 2020. Participatory observation journal was prepared from the moment the activists first met until their disbandment. In addition, in-depth interviews were conducted 17 times befor, during, and after the program. Also, activity diaries, o-site sketches, and promotional materials written by activists were collected. The data Analysis was carried out using emic oding and etic coding metionds. To ensure the reliability of the study, expert meetings, member checks, and preliminary investigations were conducted. Results First, good participation experiences, interest in fields such as psychological counseling, and the belief that one’s activities make the world good became the context for healing activists to participate in healing projects. Second, the activists’s healing experience consists of receiving at the same time as giving, and was quite similar to he healing factors in counseling theory. Third, the moment of recognizing the need for conflict with colleagues, a lot of energy and time consumption, and counseling expertise was confirmed as a difficulty as a healing activist. Conclusions As the first study on the Maeum-on program, a new type of psychological program model that can spread social values was identified, and it was confirmed that a citizen-centered healing movement was possible. It can be used as basic data when developing group programs in the future.

The role of cost accounting in SMEs from a sustainable development perspective

Purpose: The purpose of the article is to answer the following questions: Are enterprises from the SME sector in Poland prepared to report on sustainable development? Is the utilization of tools provided by contemporary cost accounting adequate to meet new challenges? Methodology/approach: A review of the literature on sustainable development and accounting from the perspective of sustainable development was conducted. The theoretical considerations were supplemented with a survey carried out between April and June 2024. The research methods included critical analysis and synthesis.Findings: The results indicate that interest in implementing modern cost accounting methods, which are among the most important cost management tools, is increasing among SMEs. However, it remains insufficient. Over half of the respondents do not use any decision-oriented cost accounting, and only 29% have a developed cost reporting system tailored to the needs of financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, calculation, and analysis.Research limitations/implications: In accordance with Directive 2022/2464 of December 14, 2022, on Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSRD), small and medium-sized enterprises listed on stock exchanges will be subject to reporting from 2026. How-ever, the research shows that Polish SMEs still show little interest in modern cost ac-counting methods as tools to support the management of sustainable businesses. There-fore, it is necessary to conduct further research on the implementation of problem-specific cost accounting in SMEs, which would support the decision-making process in this area.Originality/value: Previous empirical studies primarily utilized the case study method. The conclusions drawn from our analysis fill a research gap and can be utilized by both practitioners and academics. The contribution to the development of the discipline lies in identifying the level of adoption of modern cost accounting methods in SMEs.

Post-migration social adaptation and normalisation: educational needs of Syrian women in Türkiye

Türkiye, a pivotal junction in global migration, has undertaken the responsibility of hosting a significant number of Syrian refugees since 2011. The ability of these asylum-seekers to benefit from education services effectively is of utmost importance for their post-migration adaptation and normalisation processes. This research focuses on the educational needs of Syrian women, who a dually disadvantaged group due to being women refugees, and who still carry important traumatic experiences such as war and migration in their memories. Adhering to the qualitative paradigm, this study employs a descriptive case study method and explores the experiences and perspectives of eight Syrian women actively participating in various training programs at the Zonguldak Fatih Public Education Centre through semi-structured interviews. Revealing that language acquisition and vocational training stand as the primary drivers for these women attending Public Education Centres, the findings underscore an urgent demand for expanded vocational courses, enhanced Turkish language programmes, interpreter services in public institutions, and counselling support.
