ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA PADA MAHASISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATERI LIMIT FUNGSI

This study aims to determine the ability to understand mathematical concepts in students in solving Limit Function material problems. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Subjects were selected based on the UAS scores for the differential calculus course and also with the consideration of the lecturer in charge of the course. The research subjects were 3 students, each of whom had high, medium and low abilities. Data collection in this study used literature study, tests, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Then the data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively based on indicators of concept understanding, namely (1) restate a concept, (2) classify objects according to certain properties, and (3) use, utilize and select certain procedures. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: subjects with high abilities are able to fulfill indicators (2) and (3), subjects with medium abilities are able to fulfill indicators (3), and subjects with low abilities are not able to fulfill the three indicators. The findings in this study showed that the three subjects were equally unable to fulfill the indicators of restating a concept where the three subjects were unable to interpret the graph according to what was intended in the question.

Curricular Adaptations for the learning of mathematical concepts in students with intellectual educational needs

Education is a fundamental right in a person's life, without distinction or conditions. Therefore, this research aimed to develop a didactic proposal of curricular adaptations for the learning of mathematical concepts in students with intellectual educational needs. In this context, a qualitative anddescriptive study took students with this condition and educational teachers as study individuals. The results obtained in the diagnosis externalized the importance of applying adaptations depending on the degree of complexity presented by each student. In this way, a proposal is presented that contributes to improving the teaching-learning process of young people with intellectual disabilities in different degrees and that allows them to strengthen fundamental mathematical concepts to include them in their daily activities and the environment that surrounds them.

Analysis of Mathematical Problem Solving Ability of XI Class Vocational Students on Composition Function Material

This study aims to find out how well vocational students solve mathematical problems based on the composition function material. Mathematical problem solving ability is an ability that must be mastered by students because this ability is the core of mathematics. The location of this research is at SMK TI Garuda Nusantara and the main object of research is class XI students totaling 32 people in one class. The author used a descriptive qualitative approach. Several test questions were used as data collection methods. of 32 students in one class. It can be said that only 9 people were able to complete the test questions and get a good rating on each indicator. The results show that the problem solving ability of students in class XI of SMK TI Garuda Nusantara is classified as sufficient or moderate. This is very clear from the fact that only 28% of students who achieved perfect scores in the good category. 56% were rated medium, and 16% were rated low. The acquisition of the highest indicator value is in problem solving ability, while the lowest indicator is in the indicator of understanding the problem, this is due to the lack of understanding of basic mathematical concepts in students. In order for students' problem-solving skills to improve, researchers suggest that further research should use learning models or media that can help students understand mathematical concepts.

Pengaruh Penerapan Pendekatan Realistik Bidang Studi Matematika Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas IV Di SDN Birowo 02 Kabupaten Blitar

The reality in the field shows that grade IV SD students are still not familiar with the concepts and operations of fractions properly. This can be due to the mathematics learning processes and methods used by the teacher are not suitable for the needs of students. As a result, the absorption of material by students is not optimal and the results of student learning decrease occurred. One effort that can be used by teachers to assist in teaching mathematics is to use a realistic approach. Realistic Approach Method is a learning method that emphasizes the experience of everyday life to understand mathematical concepts in students. This research method is classroom action research using two cycles. Collecting data using observation techniques, documentation and tests. Data analysis uses qualitative data analysis techniques. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of the Realistic approach on student learning outcomes in mathematics. The results of this research were an increase in learning outcomes based on improving the learning process starting in Cycle I and Cycle II, which initially had an average score of 70 which increased to 98.

RME Based Audiobook Development for Class IV Elementary School Students

Learning mathematics at the Elementary School (SD) level is an important basis in building a good understanding of mathematical concepts in students. However, students often experience difficulties in understanding abstract and complex mathematical concepts. This can have an impact on reducing students' interest in learning mathematics. To overcome this problem, an audiobook based on RME (Realistic Mathematics Education) was developed which emphasizes the quality of sound recordings that are close to the experience of listening to voices directly, especially for mathematics materials at the elementary level. The research method used in this study is a research and development approach using the ADDIE model developed by Robert Maribe Branch. The ADDIE model is a development model consisting of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the study show that audiobooks based on RME are valid and can be implemented in learning. Based on these results, the RME-based audiobook is ready to be implemented on a large scale and used as an effective alternative learning media in increasing conceptual understanding and interest in learning mathematics for fourth grade elementary school students in multiplication material.

Penerapan model cooperative learning tipe STAD untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa sekolah dasar

This study aims to learn about the application of the Cooperative Learning Model Type STAD and the improvement of the ability to understand the mathematical concepts of mixed counting operations in students of SDN Cilame Grade 3. Cooperative Learning Type Model STAD is a learning technique that can be used to invite students to discuss, help each other, and cooperate in solving tasks. Their learning is divided into small groups. The research used is qualitative. The subject of research is students of SDN Cilame Class III, out of a total of 25. The instrument used in the research is the test drawing prepared by the researcher. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive qualitative techniques to obtain data by collecting student test results and comparing improvement results with circumstances and before. This study was conducted in three meetings to see whether the application was increased or not at all. Based on the results of research and discussion on this study, it can be concluded that there is an excellent improvement in the understanding of mathematical concepts in students. We obtained a good response from students and teachers on the application of learning models and found that the difficulties experienced by students are related to indicators that show an understanding of the mathematics concepts.

МОДЕЛЬ ФОРМИРОВАНИЯ МАТЕМАТИЧЕСКИХ ПОНЯТИЙ

The actual problem of the formation of mathematical concepts among students in the system of higher vocational education is considered. The purpose of the study is to develop a model for the formation of mathematical concepts in students and ways to master the algorithms for their implementation in the process of solving professionally oriented problems. The main tasks to be solved in the study are: changing the content of education and developing a single - operator approach to the definition of basic mathematical concepts. The methods were the study of scientific literature and practical experience in the implementation of vocational educational programs in universities. Results of the study: a model for the formation of mathematical concepts and the need to revise the content of education focused on the use of modern information technologies.

ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN MATEMATIS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR PADA PEMBELAJARAN DARING

This study aims to analyze the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in inline learning who have low, mdium, and high levels of mathematical ability. This study used a qualitative method with the type of case study research. This research was conducted by taking 6 research subjects from grade 4. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that students who have low mathematical abilities have achieved 2 indicators, students who have moderate mathematical abilities have reached 4 indicators, and students who have high mathematical abilities have been able to achieve 6 indicators.

Pengaruh Pendekatan Open-Ended Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas XI MA Darul Ulum Waru

This research has the background that there are still many students are still lacking in understanding mathematical concepts in students and its effect on student learning outcomes Class XI MA Darul Ulum. Therefore, it requires an approach that can improve learning outcomes, one of which is the approach Open-ended.The purpose is to determine the effect of the open-ended approach to the learning outcomes of students in grade XI MA Darul Ulum Waru.This research is a quantitative type of research True Experimental design and research design posttest control group design. The sampling technique using simple random sampling technique and obtained samples of the class XI IPA 1 as an experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class with the population of all students in grade XI MA Darul Ulum Waru. The data collection technique using the test, observation methods and techniques of data analysis using t-test. From the analysis of the data obtained 2,35and 1,99 then = 2.35 > 1.99 and the average value of the experimental class is higher than the control class, it can be concluded that there is the effect of the open-ended approach to the learning outcomes of students in grade XI MA Darul Ulum Waru.

PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DI MTs DARUL ULUM MUHAMMADIYAH GALUR

At the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, all learning was carried out online or online learning, while schools and students had to follow the existing curriculum in their schools, which of course not all of their lessons were happy. Mathematics is one of the subjects that is always a scourge for students, regardless of those who enjoy mathematics. The reasons vary, some say the lessons are difficult to understand, students are not interested in learning mathematics, the teachers are boring, and so on. So that many parents of students who provide additional tutoring for their children by hiring math teachers, in the hope that their children are mathematically intelligent. This study aims to examine the effect of using animated interactive multimedia on students' understanding of the concept of understanding mathematical concepts. The population of this study were students of class VII MTs Darul Ulum Muhammadiyah Galur even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. Of the five existing classes, two classes were taken randomly as samples with one class as the experimental class and one class as the control class. This study used the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were obtained through a test in the form of a description of the rectangular and square material. The results showed that there was a difference in the understanding of mathematical concepts in students who used animated interactive multimedia higher than the understanding of mathematical concepts of students who took conventional learning, and there was a positive and significant effect of the use of animated interactive media on the Mathematical Concept Understanding of Class VII MTs Darul Ulum Muhammadiyah Galur Tahun Students 2019/2020 Teaching

Pengaruh Self-Efficacy terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Siswa Pada Pembelajaran Model Discovery Learning

Understanding the concept of students is still low and student self-efficacy is still not the background of this study. The research objective was to determine the understanding of students 'mathematical concepts and determine the effect of self-efficacy on students' conceptual understanding after applying the Discovery Learning model. This type of research is a pre-experiment with a pre-test and post-test group design test. The instrument in this study was in the form of a questionnaire of concept understanding data obtained using pretest and posttest while self efficacy using qusestionare. Data analysis using simple linear regression analysis, correlation analysis and t test. Based on the results of data analysis, understanding the mathematical concepts of students has increased with the criteria of being. Questionnaire analysis using the N-Gain formula and obtained student self-efficacy also experienced an increase in the criteria of being. Furthermore, the significance test of the correlation coefficient is obtained tcount < ttable, it can be concluded that self-efficacy by applying the Discovery Learning model influences the understanding of mathematical concepts in students of class XI MIA 1 Solok Selatan N 5 but not significant.

Eksperimentasi Metode Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematika

This study aims to determine the student’s understanding of mathematical concepts used Numbered Heads Together method was better than the lecture method. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a comparative method. The population of this study was all of the eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Jelimpo. Sampling is done by cluster random sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 61 students divided into two classes, namely 29 students in class XI IIS A who used the lecture method and 32 students in class XI IIS B who used the NHT method. The instrument used to collect data is a test instrument. The prerequisite for normality tests used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method and homogeneity tests used the SPSS-assisted Levene method. The hypothesis test used Independent Sample t Test. The results of this study are that the understanding of mathematical concepts of students use the Numbered Heads Together method is better than students who use the lecture method in eleventh grade students of SMAN 1 Jelimpo.

PENGEMBANGAN SOAL-SOAL KONTEKSTUAL PADA MATA KULIAH ALJABAR LINEAR BERBASIS MATRIKS LESLIE

Understanding the exact mathematical concepts in students can be obtained through an in-depth process by practicing existing problems in daily life known as contextual learning. Linear Algebra is one of the mathematics courses in the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Borneo Tarakan. But in practicing problem solving students need contextual questions so that the learning abilities obtained by students are more meaningful and students can find out the usefulness of Linear Algebra courses in daily life, especially on matrix material. Eigenvalues and eigenvectors in matrix material are one sub material that can be associated with the Leslie matrix. The Leslie Matrix is a matrix used to predict the number and rate of growth of female population in the City of Tarakan. The development of contextual questions related to the Leslie matrix includes calculating the predicted number of female population growth in one of the kelurahans in the City of Tarakan in the next 5 years and calculating the prediction of the rate of female population growth in one of the kelurahans in the City of Tarakan in the next 5 years.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran CTL Ditinjau dari Motivasi Siswa terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Kelas VII

This research is motivated by the importance of the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts. Alternative learning to improve these abilities is a learning model of contextual teaching and learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of contextual teaching and learning on the ability to understand mathematical concepts in terms of student motivation. The research design used in this study is Quasi Experimental Design with factorial 2 × 3. Sampling using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The population in this study were all seventh grade students in Bawang 1 State Middle School. The data in this study were obtained from the results of the posttest ability to understand mathematical concepts and student motivation questionnaires. Data processing is done by using the same two-way cell anava calculation followed by the Scheffe 'test and regression test to know the magnitude of the effect. Conclusions from the results of processing the data are 1) The ability to understand mathematical concepts in set material using the contextual teaching and learning learning model provides the ability to understand mathematical concepts that are the same as students with conventional learning models. 2) Students with high motivation have the ability to understand mathematical concepts better than students with low motivation, and students with moderate motivation have the ability to understand the same mathematical concepts as students who have low motivation. 3) There is no difference in students' ability to understand concepts between students who are given a contextual teaching and learning model and conventional on the level of student motivation. 4) Motivation of learning affects the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts in students given the model of contextual teaching and learning. Learning motivation can be used as an alternative to the affective aspect in measuring the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts, especially in set material because motivation affects the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VII students.

KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS DITINJAU DARI SELF EFFICACY SISWA DAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS) DI SMP NEGERI 20 PALEMBANG

This research is aimed to know the influence of Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on students' mathematical concept comprehension in terms of self efficacy of SMP Negeri 20 Palembang students. The method used is the experimental method with a population of 316 students and samples taken as many as 63 students. One experimental class of 32 students who received treatment model Think Pair Share (TPS) and one control class were 31 students who received conventional learning treatment. Data were analyzed by using two-way ANOVA. Based on the analysis of research results indicate that there is influence of learning model of Think Pair Share (TPS) to students' mathematical concept, there is influence of concept comprehension ability in terms of student self efficacy, and there is no interaction between Think Pair Share (TPS) and self efficacy to the ability of understanding mathematical concepts of students of class VII SMP Negeri 20 Palembang. Peningkatan Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Melalui Metode Pembelajaran Inquiry

The purpose of this study was to prove empirically the increase in understanding of mathematical concepts through inquiry learning methods. This research is an experimental research. The population is all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 204 Jakarta. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study was 30 students in class VIII-C who did the learning through the inquiry method as an experimental class and 30 students in class VIII-B who did the learning through the expository method as a control class. The research instrument used the concept understanding evaluation test in the form of an essay test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the understandings of mathematical concepts of students who take learning through inquiry methods with an understanding of the mathematical concepts of students who follow learning with the expository method.

The Flipped Classroom Strategy using Learning Video: Applied toward the Ability to Understand Mathematical Concept

This article aimed to determine the effect of flipped classroom learning models using interactive video on understanding mathematical concepts in students. This type of research was quantitative research. The technique of data collection used was random class technique. The data analysis technique used was the Anava 2 way hypothesis test, but first, a normality and homogeneity test was carried out. From the results of the study, there are differences in mathematics learning outcome of students who use the Flipped Classroom model using learning videos with those using conventional method. Furthermore, the results of the ability to understand the concepts of students using the Flipped Classroom model using video learning was better than using conventional methods. Based on the conclusions, the researcher suggested that the teachers have to use the Flipped Classroom method using learning video to improve students’ ability to understand concepts. Based on this, it can be concluded that the Flipped Classroom model with learning videos and student learning style can influence students’ mathematical reasoning abilities.

UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA MELALUI DISKUSI KELOMPOK BERBANTUAN ALAT PERAGA

AbstractThe group discussion is the activity of a group of students, speaking exchanging information and opinions on a topic, where each student wants to find answers to all the possibilities. This study aims to find out and analyze the improvement of understanding the concept of mathematics students of class IX A SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak after the learning of mathematics through discussion groups assisted props. This study is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles, with the help of teacher and student activity observation sheets, student activity sheets for group discussion and test result of learning. Based on the results of data analysis, there is an increased understanding of mathematical concepts of students Through the implementation of teaching-assisted group discussion of learning aids occur increased student activity in learning. An increase in the percentage of student activity from cycles I and cycle II by 18%. Through the implementation of learning group-assisted discussion of visual aids, there was an increase in the understanding of mathematical concepts of students from cycle I and cycle II seen from the results of concept comprehension tests provided, there was an average score increase of 9.45 and a 22.85% increase in the percentage of mastery. Development of Teaching Materials Based on a Metacognition Approach to Improve the Understanding Ability of Mathematical Concepts of Students of Budi Mulia Medan

This study aims to: 1) Develop teaching materials based on a valid metacognition approach to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts; 2) Developing teaching materials based on a practical metacognition approach to improve the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts; 3) Develop teaching materials based on an effective metacognition approach; 4) To analyze the increased ability to understand students' mathematical concepts by using teaching materials based on metacognition approaches. This research is a development research using a 4-D development model, the teaching materials developed from this study are: Learning Implementation Plans, Teacher Books, Student Books, Student Worksheets, And Tests Ability To Understand Mathematical Concepts. From the results of trial I and trial II, it was obtained: 1) Teaching materials based on the metacognition approach developed have met valid criteria from several criteria; 2) Teaching materials based on the metacognition approach developed have met Practical criteria from several criteria; 3) Teaching materials based on the metacognition approach developed have met the effective criteria of several criteria; 4) there is an increase in the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts by using instructional materials based on the metacognition approach developed, in the trial I obtained an average score of pretest 54.66% and posttest score 73.86%, and in the second trial with an average pretest score of 57.87% and posttest score of 78.4%.
