PROSPECTS FOR OVERCOMING CONFLICTS IN POLITICAL PROCESSES IN UZBEKISTAN

The article deals with the features of the manifestation of political conflicts in the conditions of Uzbekistan, and the methods of agreement used in their elimination by compromise, the role of the development strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the elimination of political conflicts, prevention of non-occurrence, and is thoroughly analyzed.

War and Economic Growth: What Can Modern RUSSIA Learn From the 20th Century?

After February 2022, the growth of military expenditures and trade sanctions of unfriendly countries were the main factors determining the economic development of the Russian Federation. These factors are nothing new in the world and Russian history. They are typical economic manifestations of military conflicts. The accumulated historical experience, if properly used and correctly interpreted, can help to evaluate the current state of the Russian economy and predict its future. In this context, this article considers the two largest world conflicts (the First and Second World Wars) as well as five major military conflicts of the 20th century in which our country took part. The analyzed experience has identified six major factors. The presence or absence of these factors determines the potential economic growth of a belligerent state. With regard to the presence of these factors, the current economic situation in Russia has been analyzed. The authors have come to the conclusion that there are no prospects for economic growth in modern Russia. Besides, they have justified the need for a structural reorientation of GDP towards increased military and investment spending at the expense of reduced consumption by the population.

113 patients provided information on their symptoms (BSI-18) and the significance of six OPD conflict themes in active and passive mode (12 conflict scales) by self-report on admission and discharge. Using Welch's t-tests and multiple regression models, both pre-post changes in symptoms and conflict significance and the influence of conflict changes on symptom reduction were analyzed. Four OPD conflict scales changed significantly during treatment. Patients who changed more strongly in terms of the manifestation of conflicts also showed a greater reduction in symptoms. The results indicate both a certain stability of conflict issues and their changeability and confirm the psychodynamic theory that change in conflict issues is associated with symptom reduction.

MANIFESTATIONS OF CONFLICTS IN WORKING GROUPS

The purpose of the article is to identify the causes and characteristics of conflicts in working groups and to choose effective ways to overcome them. The objectives of the article are to study the causes of conflicts in working groups, to develop and implement an experimental research methodology to identify and overcome the manifestation of intergroup conflicts. To carry out the research, we used: 1. "Diagnosing the propensity for conflict behavior of a person" -surveymethodology by K. Thomas; 2. ―Study of the Psychological Atmosphere of the Collective‖ methodology by L. Stolyarenko. As a result of the experimental research carried out in different educational institutions of Goris community of Syunik region, we came to the conclusion that people who have high indicators of cooperation and compromise can easily overcome conflicts. Such persons do not show aggressiveness and try to respond to tense situations more calmly. It was found that in those collectives where cooperation and compromise indicators are higher and competition is at a normal level, the psychological climate of that collective is considered favorable. In the course of the research, it was also found that the expression of the psychological atmosphere of different educational groups depends on the person's propensity towards the conflict situation and the degree of aggressiveness of his behavior.

Material Dissonances in the Post-Conflict City: Re-Presencing Social Injustice in Belfast, Northern Ireland

The city of Belfast in Northern Ireland has been made and remade through cycles of violence during its 400-year “history.” The most recent manifestation of violent conflict associated with the city was a low-level civil war euphemistically known as “the Troubles” (ca. 1968–ca. 1998). Alongside the enduring markers of bombings, civil unrest, and attempts to police and disrupt them, presences and absences can also be assigned to forced and facilitated movements of communities, the “planned violence” (O’Neill 2018) of road-building schemes, and what were designated at the time as “slum clearances.” But there have been attempts to disrupt—and reinsert—attempted erasures of conflict when associated with enduring social injustices. The Concept of Conflict Semantic Explication Within the Functional Terminological Field (Based on the Analysis of Russian and International Media Sourses)

The study attempts to carry out an objective analysis of conflict as the main component of social dynamics in an interdisciplinary manner and within the paradigm of intercultural comparative research. In order to achieve this goal, an experimental study of the ways to conceptualize conflict in the functional field of media discourse was conducted. The object of the study is the content of the websites of twelve leading newspaper publications from five countries during the period of 2020–2022: Russia, Great Britain, the USA, India and China. The choice of media sources is predetermined by their leading role in the national media markets (top 10 national newspapers), as well as by similar characteristics: socio-political course, mass audience, and daily issuing. To study the degree of conflict manifestation, we used the Integrum media monitoring and analytical system which contains full-text electronic archives of more than 120,000 publications, including those selected for the study. To understand the dynamics of publicational activity, the total number of conflict-related texts for every year between 2020 and 2022 for each media source the quantitative analysis based on the detection of conflict attributes was performed. The share of conflict-related media texts in the overall agenda was revealed. The further analysis of semantic features combined within the most significant thematic categories shed light on the specificity of conceptual pattern typical of the countries under investigation.

Before Death Takes the Main Character of the Horror Novel (Urban Legend) by Risa Saraswati: Literary Psychology Study

This research departs from the novel Peter and Janshen written by Risa Saraswati which tells the story of the lives of two boys as the main characters for each novel when they were still humans, not ghost figures (astral creatures) as they are now. This research aims to describe: (1) the main character's interpersonal conflict with other characters in the novel, (2) the main character's intrapsychic conflict, and (3) the conflict resolution carried out by the main characters in each identified conflict. This research is a qualitative descriptive study analyzed using Karen Horney's psychoanalytic theory. Karen Horney's psychoanalytic approach intended to study the horror novel (urban legend) by Risa Saraswati is to use non-literary texts as a foundation for seeking understanding from the literary texts to be analyzed . The data collection techniques used in this research were reading, listening and note-taking techniques. The research instrument is the researcher himself using the unit of analysis, namely story facts and literary means. The validity of the data used in this research is intrarater and interreter data reliability. The results of the research found 3 forms of self-aspects of the basic anxiety of a main character depicted in the horror novel (urban legend) entitled Peter and Janshen by Risa Saraswati when they were still human, namely (a) the form of interpersonal conflict in the form of conflict or disagreement with other people because of differences, experienced by the characters Peter and Janshen, namely: (1) Conflict over lack of affection and acceptance, (2) Conflict over having strong and reliable partners, (3) Conflict over gaining social recognition, (4) ) Conflict due to personal ambition, (5) Conflict to have power, (6) Conflict to become a person who is admired, (7) Conflict to respect one's privacy. (b) The manifestation of intrapsychic conflict in the form of an individual's actions, beliefs and emotions which cause anxiety for him, namely: (1) Neurotic Ambition, (2) Excessive Attitude to Become Perfect, (3) Drive for Revenge, (4) Demand for treated special, (5) arrogant attitude, (6) self-blame, (7) self-deprecation. Furthermore, (c) Conflict Resolution, in the form of actions that the main characters tend to take based on Karen Horney's theory in dealing with interpersonal conflicts with other people, namely: (1) Conflict Resolution with a Tendency to Resist, (b) Conflict Resolution with a Tendency to Approach, (c) Conflict Resolution with a Tendency to Approach, ( c) Conflict Resolution Distant Tendency. Events from the real lives of the main characters through Risa Saraswati's supernatural ability as a writer to interact with astral beings, are contextualized in the novel entitled Peter and Janshen. In Karen Horney's psychoanalytic perspective, childhood life experiences are enough to determine a person's personality criteria.

Cultural conflict - civilizational transition and civil transformations - factors of influence and crisis of the cultural identity of the Arab Gulf countries (confrontation / assimilation - influence / change)

The research deals with the issue of cultural confrontation experienced by the local culture of the peoples of the Arab Gulf countries in front of the civilizational tide and structural transformations in social life, which coincides with cultural globalization and the revolution of technology and information that transcended borders and barriers. The Gulf Arab states have witnessed major structural transformations in line with the civilizational development in the fields of life brought about by oil wealth. The study sought to identify the most prominent sources of challenge and change, the great variation in the demography of the population, where the population weight coming from abroad with its diverse culture and life practices that lead to a change in public behavior and cultural environment in the new reality, so the study stands on the size of the impact contributed by human migrations coming to the Arab Gulf countries by addressing the following variables: - Demographic difference between citizens and residents. - The density of educational institutions for communities and international schools. - The heavy presence of traditional non-Arabic media institutions and others directed at foreign communities. She presented an analysis of the implications of this, and monitored the manifestations of change, transformation and conflict experienced by local cultures, based on Julian Steward's theoretical model, which focuses on the dynamic interaction between man and the environment, technology, social structure, and organization of work. To understand the reality of the social space of the peoples of the Arab Gulf countries, And the impact of internal interactions and external influences on this space and know the shape of structural transformations in the local culture of these peoples, and determine their characteristics, and read the future of these changes by trying to understand the course of transformation.

The particularities of the appearance and manifestation of conflicts in early education institutions

This article presents the particularities of the manifestation of conflicts in early education institutions, the types of conflicts that occur in kindergartens, conflict prevention strategies and types of reaction when a person is involved in a conflict. The article highlights some of the reasons for the conflicts, as well as the premises for their appearance. Conflicts between preschoolers are the most common, they arise from the small group, the main reasons being the need for affirmation, the need for autonomy, the need for self-realization, the need for self-defense. The teaching staff has an essential role in resolving conflicts, both in the classroom and in the relationship with the parents of preschoolers. The article presents examples of conflicts between the manager of a preschool educational institution and the teaching staff, as well as examples of conflicts between teachers.

The Conflict and Counterbalance of Different Cultural Contexts Take Ang Lee's Father Trilogy as an Example

Ang Lee's Father Trilogy shows the conflicts and counterbalances generated in different cultural contexts, presents the problems based on family, expounds the identity dilemma of individuals in cross-cultural communication, and leaves a space for better solutions in cultural communication. By discussing different dimensions of eastern and Western culture, tradition, and modern culture, this paper analyzes the causes and manifestations of conflicts in different cultural contexts, the distinct mechanisms of mutual conflict, and the final result of conflict. Through the study of typical individuals, it explains the characteristics and difficulties of cultural exchange at the present stage, and further concludes that the inducement of cultural context conflict is that different ideologies represented by various cultures stimulate different behavior patterns, thus causing conflicts. The rivalry between the two sides leads to different outcomes, such as isolation, compromise, and absorption.

ETHNIC CONFLICT: AN OVERVIEW OF POST-SOVIET RUSSIA

After the de-centralisation and collapse of the Soviet Union, the aftermath brought chaos, and the major challenge was the manifestation of serious conflict on ethnic lines. The emergence of the Russian Federation was not peaceful, and violence remained a core character in the making of the Russian Federation in the aftermath of Post Soviet Russia. The series of issues brought major ramifications of newly formed states carved out from the large Society federation as an independent entity. The collapse of the Soviet federation created fifteen independent states amidst ethnic tension across the federation. The outcome was chaos, political disintegration and struggle for autonomy in the making of power transition.

Comparison of the Differences in Face Perceptions Between China and the West

The current review aims to investigate the differences between the views of face in China and Western countries in the theoretical and practical aspects and demonstrate external manifestations of cross-cultural conflict. The study started by bringing in theories about face, involved comparing views from different researchers, and listed out some specific daily activities to illustrate how the face issue works in diverse countries. Significant differences were discovered in the views of face in various cultures, and the gap was found to be more obvious in the activities in peoples daily lives than in theories, which leads people to treat things and act differently. Although more research is needed to identify the differences in nature and birth of theories, findings suggest a need to pay attention to these differences and how to use them to show respect for people from China or other Western countries in intercultural communication.

The article reveals the problem of cultural conflicts among student youth and their impact on the educational process. The concept of «cultural conflict» is analyzed from the point of view of domestic and foreign scholars, methods for determining the levels of cultural conflict among students are proposed.The aim of the article is to analyze and determine the causes and manifestations of cultural conflicts among young people using psychological and pedagogical methods and tests.The psychology of adolescence is reflected, the characteristic feature of which is the strengthening of conscious motives for behavior. This is a period of great activity in the physical, psychological and mental development of a young person, when building their own views on life, and this period is quite difficult, which has an impact on the perception of other cultures. Attention is drawn to the importance of the humanities in technical institutions of higher education and their importance in the formation of tolerance towards other ethnic groups. The example of the discipline «Psychology of personality» shows the forms of work with students that affect their understanding of cultural conflict. The importance of testing and training in the formation of a tolerant attitude towards other cultures is described. The results of methods for determining the index of tolerance (determination of high, medium and low level of tolerance) and types of ethnic identification (ethnonigilism, ethnic identity, positive identity, ethnoegoism, ethnoisolationism, ethnofascism) are presented. Based on the results of the presented methods and their results, a description is provided with elements of training, which aims to help students overcome their own prejudices against other ethnic groups and social groups, the formation of intercultural communication and perception of other nationalities, their cultural characteristics.108Prospects for the study are the further introduction of various methods and training to identify cultural conflicts among student youth in the educational process, where students are active participants and their introduction will help to understand the problem and prevent cultural conflict.

PECULIARITIES OF INTERPERSONAL INTERACTION OF FUTURE TECHNICAL PROFILE SPECIALISTS WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF INTERACTIVE ORIENTATION

The article is devoted to the problem of interpersonal interaction creation by students of a technical profile. In particular, the results of a comparative study of the peculiarities of the interpersonal interaction creation by students of a technical profile with different types of interactive orientation are described. 
 In the article, interaction refers to any agreed action of two or more people. Among the conditions under which the existence and progress of interaction is possible, there are defined the mutual understanding of its participants and the awareness of each of the participants of their own contribution to the joint activity. 
 According to the results of the empirical study, it was found that although the technical profile students have a certain level of disharmony in interpersonal relationships, the relationships of more than half of them are mostly harmonious and stable in nature.. In addition, the diagnosis of the interactive orientation of the studied future technical profile specialists proved that the vast majority of students have an average level of orientation to personal interests and orientation to interaction and cooperation, and the level of marginal orientation among them is mostly high, that is, these students are characterized with manifestations of infantilism, uncontrollability of actions, imitation. 
 Determining the peculiarities of the interpersonal interaction creation by the technical profile students with different types of interactive orientation showed that the higher the level of manifestation of conflict in relationships students demonstrate, the more they are focused on pursuing their own goals exclusively. In addition, the more the studied students demonstrate an increased concern for relationships, the more these future technical profile students are characterized with manifestations of infantilism and uncontrollable actions. Also, the more students express a desire to distance themselves from other people, the more likely they are to simply obey to circumstances and behave impulsively. Thus the future specialists of technical profile with different types of interactive orientation are characterized with different specificity of interpersonal interaction creation.

Socially bonded females face more sexual coercion in a female-philopatric primate

Sexual coercion is a manifestation of sexual conflict increasing male mating success while inflicting costs to females. Although previous work has examined inter-individual variation in male sexually coercive tactics, little is known about female counter-strategies. We investigated whether social bonding mitigates the extent of sexual coercion faced by female mandrills (Mandrillus sphinx), as a putative mechanism linking sociality to fitness. Surprisingly, females faced the most coercion from those males with whom they formed the strongest bonds, while the strength of a female-male bond was also positively correlated with coercion from all other males. Finally, greater social integration in the female network was positively correlated with coercion, through a direct 'public exposure' mechanism and not mediated by female reproductive success or retaliation potential. Altogether, this study shows that neither between- nor within-sex bonds are protective against sexual coercion and identifies, instead, a hidden cost of social bonding.

Decisional conflict, caregiver mastery, and depression among Chinese parental caregivers of children with leukemia

BackgroundInformal caregivers of children with leukemia can be emotionally and psychiatrically vulnerable when facing difficult treatment decisions (e.g., chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation, transplantation). A common behavioral manifestation of decisional conflict is the verbalized expression of uncertainty about which medical treatment plan to take. The study aims to examine the associations between decisional conflict, mastery, and depressive symptoms among parental caregivers of children with leukemia in China. It explored the mediating role of mastery in the relationship.MethodsA cross-sectional survey design was adopted. A total of 386 parental caregivers were recruited, and 325 valid questionnaires remained. The mean age of caregivers was 37.7 years, and 61.5% caregivers were female. We used Question Format Decisional Conflict Scale to assess decisional conflict, Pearlin’s Mastery Scale to assess mastery, and Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression 10 to assess depressive symptoms. We used mediation analyses to test the mediating effect of mastery.ResultsThe total score of decisional conflict scale, along with its dimensions of uncertainty, support, and effective decision were found negatively associated with depressive symptoms. In contrast, the dimension of information and value were not significantly associated with depressive symptoms. Mediation analyses demonstrated the direct effects of overall decisional conflict and uncertainly were fully mediated by mastery, while the direct effect of support and effective decision were partially mediated.ConclusionsEfforts should be made to alleviate parental caregivers’ decisional conflict and enhance sense of mastery. Particular attention should be paid to the psycho-social support to relieve uncertainties and ineffectiveness in decision making.

A PSYCHOLOGICAL APPROACH TO INTERNAL CONFLICT IN J. K. ROWLING’S HARRY POTTER SERIES

As humans, we are inevitably confronted with circumstances in which we must decide whether to make an easy or challenging decision. This is due to factors that might lead to the emergence of the individual's inner conflict, which then prompts the manifestation of psychological conflict. In literature, conflicts are what generally make a plot develop and progress. Thus, the primary focus of this article is the internal conflict which can be defined as a psychological struggle that develops within the self. The paper aims to investigate main characters, Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape, Voldemort, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Draco Malfoy of Rowling’s Harry Potter novels by analysing their internal conflicts and how those conflicts affect their decision making. For this purpose, Kurt Lewin’s classification of internal conflicts will be used to identify the type of inner conflicts each character encounters. In this way, a better understanding of the aforementioned characters can be formed.

Conflictual behaviour in legislatures: Exploring and explaining adversarial remarks in oral questions to prime ministers

Questioning mechanisms such as Prime Minister’s Questions in the United Kingdom and Question Time in Australia are notoriously adversarial. Much less is known about whether and how questioning facilitates conflict in other legislatures. This question is particularly important given the criticism that excessive adversarialism may hinder the performance of accountability, and hence may be detrimental to the work of legislatures. Building on legislative studies literature, this article presents the first comparative study of conflict in oral parliamentary questions; in so doing, it explores patterns of conflictual remarks in questions addressed to prime ministers in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland. It posits that institutional culture, party discipline, government and opposition status and the authority of the Speaker are key factors in explaining the performance of conflict, and that rules of procedure alone are not enough to curb the manifestation of conflict in legislatures where questioning is a known opportunity for criticism.

PENGARUH RELIGIUSITAS TERHADAP JUVENILE DELINQUENCY PADA SISWA SMA NEGERI 2 MANADO

One of the problems one faces in adolescence is a transition period that can make a youth's emotions less stable. This time is often referred to as the time of the storm (strum and drang), yaigrumbling about a time of turmoil resulting from opposing values. It is this transition period that brings about a sense of self-behavior called Juvenile Delinquency. Juvenile Delinquency is a manifestation of unresolved conflicts in both childhood and youth. This requires strong religious confidence and experience in the teachings of religion in order to reduce delinquent behavior. The study was carried out using the quantitative method to see the religious impact of the juvenile delinquency of country high school students 2 Manado. The sample in this study totaled 74 students. The data analysis technique used in data management is simple linear regression. Management used computer assistive SPSS program 26 for Windows. The calculations using a simple regression analysis gained significance by 0.002 (p< 0.05) then would have a religious influence on juvenile delinquency with a contribution of 12.9%. Autism

The Moral Economy of the Agatu "Massacre": Reterritorializing Farmer-Herder Relations.

The Agatu "Massacre" is a conflict between pastoralists and farmers in the Agatu area of Benue State, Nigeria. The conflict is significant because of the event's gravity, but no scholarly inquiry that involves thoughtful and reflective methodological and theoretical approaches has been made. This paper investigates how the farmer-herder relations in Agatu became a violent crisis and situates it within relevant literature to fill gaps in farmer-herder conflicts literature in Africa. Existing literature demonstrates the pertinence of moral economies for resource use, spatial pattern, and manifestations of conflicts in developing and developed worlds. However, studies have yet to use the moral economy concept to explore the African farmer-herder conflicts from a political ecology perspective. This paper demonstrates that the Agatu crisis emerged due to reterritorializations in the moral economy of farmers and herders, disrupting their social ties. It further illustrates that the violence in Agatu was caused by the deviation from the traditional approach to addressing the damage done to crops by herding livestock. Nevertheless, the paper argues that this deviation is the consequence of modifications in the moral economy of farmers and herders driven by the aspiration for financial gain rather than the subsistence of agro-pastoral relations. The paper argues that changes in moral economies can disrupt social relations and lead to farmer-herder conflicts, leading to the exclusion of pastoralists from resource access through policy and legislation.
