THE IMPACT OF KARATE EXTRACURRICULAR ON PARENT SATISFACTION IN ISLAMIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

The problems faced by schools related to karate extracurricular education services are students who are less active and easily bored in karate extracurricular activities. This study aims to find out: 1) Karate extracurricular education services at Fatahillah Sukoharjo Integrated Islamic Elementary School, 2) The influence of karate extracurricular education services on the level of parent satisfaction of students of Fatahillah Sukoharjo Integrated Islamic Elementary School. This study uses a quantitative method. The research was conducted at Fatahillah Sukoharjo Integrated Islamic Elementary School. Data collection techniques by documentation and questionnaire/questionnaire methods. The sampling method used a total sampling of 53 respondents. The data were analyzed using a simple linear regression analysis technique with the help of SPSS V25 software. To test the validity of the data, validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, and linearity tests were carried out. The results of the study show that: 1) Karate extracurricular education services are in the "adequate" category with a percentage of 47%, 2) Based on the results of the calculation t, 8,905 > from t table 2,006 which means that the influence is significant. Furthermore, it is seen from the calculation of simple linear regression of significance level 0.00 < 0.05 and the calculation of the confusion determination of the influence of karate extracurricular education services on the level of satisfaction of parents of students of Fatahillah Sukoharjo Integrated Islamic Elementary School by 60.9%.

Analisis tingkat kepuasan orang tua terhadap pelayanan di TPA Dharma Yoga Santi Yogyakarta

The aim of this research is to determine the level of parental satisfaction with services at the Dharma Yoga Santi Yogyakarta Daycare. This research is descriptive quantitative research using a questionnaire as a research instrument. The research respondents were 25 parents. The data was then analyzed quantitatively. The research results showed that: 1) 75% of parents expressed satisfaction and 18.8% stated they were very satisfied with the development achieved by their children, 2) 68.8% of parents stated they were satisfied, and 18.8% stated they were very satisfied with the implementation of the curriculum in the learning process, 3) 62.5% of parents said they were satisfied and 25% said they were very satisfied with the assessment of children's development, 4) 56.3% said they were satisfied and 31.3% said they were very satisfied with the ability of educators to guide children, 5) 56.3% said they were satisfied and 25% said they were very satisfied with communication carried out by educators, 6) 43.8% said they were satisfied and 43.8% said they were very satisfied with the ability of educators to act and behave towards children, 7) 43.8% said they were satisfied and 25% said they were very satisfied with the availability of school infrastructure, 8) 68.8% said they were satisfied, and 25% said they were quite satisfied with the availability of facilities that support children's play activities, and 9) 68.8% said they were satisfied and 25% said they were quite satisfied with the management of daycare facilities and infrastructure. Satisfaction with infrastructure and its management can be further improved to support the stimulation of children's growth and development and increase parents' trust in the institution.

Analysis of Parent Satisfaction Towards Early Childhood Education Services in Tirtajaya District

This research aims to analyze the satisfaction level of parents of students with the educational services provided by Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions in Tirtajaya District, Karawang Regency. The study focuses on several key aspects of educational services, including the quality of educators, facilities and infrastructure, management, content and process of education, and the level of achievement in children's development. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing survey methods to collect numerical data from a large number of respondents using questionnaires. The survey method was chosen to describe quantitatively certain phenomena by presenting average scores, deviations, graphs, and to make predictions and estimates based on identified analyses and models. The research was conducted in PAUD institutions across Tirtajaya District, Karawang Regency, during the 2023/2024 academic year. The study's novelty lies in its exploration of parental satisfaction in the digital era and rapid technological development, integrating parents' expectations for technology use in early childhood education. The findings of this research are expected to provide valuable insights for PAUD institutions in improving their educational services and for policymakers to support the development of early childhood education in the region. The research also contributes to the academic literature by offering a new perspective on customer satisfaction in the context of early childhood education.

Healthcare providers’ communication experience in the pediatric intensive care unit: a phenomenological study

BackgroundHealthcare providers must effectively communicate with other professionals, multidisciplinary teams, and parents of patients in pediatric intensive care units (PICUs) to improve outcomes in children and satisfaction levels of parents. Few studies have focused on healthcare providers’ communication experiences, which are crucial for identifying current problems and suggesting future directions. This phenomenological study was conducted to address this gap.MethodsA qualitative study using online and face-to-face interviews was conducted from January to June 2021 by a trained researcher in PICUs of two tertiary hospitals. Participants were five physicians and four registered nurses who worked in the PICUs and had over five years of clinical experience. The interviews were audio recorded with the participant’s consent and analyzed by the researchers using Colaizzi’s seven-step method.ResultsHealthcare providers’ communication experiences revealed four categories: facing communication difficulties in PICUs, communication relying on individual competencies without established communication methods, positive and negative experiences gained through the communication process, and finding the most effective communication approach.ConclusionsWithout adequate support or a systematic training program, healthcare providers often have to overcome communication challenges on their own. Therefore, support and training programs should be developed to facilitate better communication in the future.

Rainbow babies: Trauma and parenting after pregnancy loss.

Parents with a history of pregnancy loss may be at greater risk for less secure attachment (Côté-Arsenault et al., 2020) and likely experience parenting differently than those without pregnancy loss. However, existing literature regarding pregnancy loss and parenting has focused nearly exclusively on attachment and has produced inconsistent findings. The present study aims to expand the scope of previously studied parenting indices by examining the role of pregnancy loss in relation to beliefs about parenthood as well as levels of parental support, satisfaction, involvement, and limit-setting. Cumulative trauma was included in the model to assess the role of trauma exposure. Two hundred twenty-one parents (Mage = 41.69, SD = 12.73; 72.9% female) with at least one living child were recruited from either Amazon's Mechanical Turk or a midwestern university. Pregnancy loss was associated with lower levels of parental support, but did not evince links with parenting perceptions or other aspects of the parent-child relationship. Mothers reported receiving less support than fathers. Racial minorities endorsed less positive child perceptions and lower levels of parental satisfaction and involvement. Cumulative trauma, surprisingly, was unrelated to all of the parenting indices. Pregnancy loss may be related to lower perceptions of parental support, but may not be tied to parenting beliefs or aspects of the parent-child relationship. Future research should further consider context of the loss experience to better unpack how pregnancy loss may be related to specific parenting factors. Kualitas Pelayanan Pendidikan di TK Aisyiyah Kota Sukabumi: Strategi Pendekatan Metode Service Quality

This study delves into the satisfaction level of parents regarding the educational services provided by Aisyoyah Kindergarten in Sukabumi City. There are five dimensions of educational services: Tangibles (Physical Evidence), Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. The research addresses two main questions: (1) To what extent are parents satisfied with the educational services at Aisyoyah Kindergarten in Sukabumi City? (2) How does Aisyoyah Kindergarten in Sukabumi City enhance strategies to satisfy parents regarding educational services? This is a descriptive study employing a quantitative approach. The research subjects include parents of students from classes A and B at Aisyoyah Kindergarten in Sukabumi City, with a sample size of 36 from a total population of 61 students. Data collection techniques encompassed questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the satisfaction level of parents concerning educational services, covering the dimensions of Tangibles or Physical Evidence, Reliability, and Assurance, at Aisyoyah Kindergarten in Sukabumi City stands at 75%, falling under the category of "Satisfied." The data analysis technique used is service quality, which determines the value of the gap between perception and performance and ranks the gap value. Highest to lowest, and a Cartesius diagram. Aisyiyah Kindergarten in Sukabumi City aims to enhance the quality of educational services and elevate parental satisfaction by (a) improving the school's human resources, including educators and education personnel supporting the School Principal in advancing school quality, (b) providing adequate school facilities and infrastructure, especially in the realm of teaching and learning activities, (c) enhancing the professionalism of teachers within the school, (d) conducting specialized development activities for high-achieving students, (e) establishing standards for academic achievement to attain educational quality, and (f) managing school funds.

Investigation of the effectiveness of articulation therapy through tele-practice on children with cleft palate in Khuzestan Province during COVID-19 pandemic

IntroductionA cleft palate is a common type of facial malformation. Compensatory articulation errors are one of the important causes of unclear speech in children with cleft palate. Tele-practice (TP) helps to connect therapists and clients for assessment and therapy. Our goal is to investigate the effectiveness of articulation therapy through tele-practice on cleft palate children in Khuzestan Province during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials & methodsBefore starting the treatment, a 20-min speech sample was recorded individually from all the children. Speech intelligibility and the percentage of correct consonants were assessed for each speech sample. The control group received treatment sessions in person at the cleft palate center, and the other group received treatment via tele-practice using the ZOOM platform. Treatment sessions were provided in the form of 45–60-min group sessions, twice a week, for 5 weeks (10 sessions in total). After 10 treatment sessions, the speech sample was recorded again. The level of parental satisfaction was measured using a Likert 5-level survey. ResultsThe mean score of intelligibility of the two groups decreased (−1.4400 and 0.7200). The two groups' mean percentage of correct consonants increased. (26.09 and 17.90). In both groups, the mean score of parents’ satisfaction with the treatment was high (3.44 and 3.84). The mean of difference before and after the speech intelligibility and the percentage of correct consonants variables in both groups was statistically significant (P = 0.001 and P = 0.002, respectively). In both groups, the satisfaction variable was not associated with a statistically significant difference (P = 0.067). ConclusionThe effectiveness of in-person therapy over a certain period of time is higher than tele-practice. Nevertheless, the results demonstrated an increase in the intelligibility of speech and the percentage of correct consonants in both groups, thus proving the effectiveness of articulation therapy in correcting compensatory articulation errors in children with cleft palate through in-person and tele-practice.

Parental satisfaction with paediatric care with and without the support of an eHealth device: a quasi-experimental study in Sweden

BackgroundThe period after a child is discharged from hospital is generally described as challenging for the parents. Their satisfaction with the health services received is an important indicator of the quality of care. eHealth devices are increasingly used in health care to support communication with parents. Differences in levels of parental satisfaction by modality of provided care or by parental background are largely unknown. This study aimed to describe satisfaction with health care between sociodemographic groups of parents, who either received or did not receive an eHealth device for communication between parents and hospital staff as a supplement to routine care after a child’s discharge from neonatal or paediatric surgery departments.MethodsData from a quasi-experimental study was collected in the south of Sweden, between 2019 and 2021. The Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory™ (PedsQL) Healthcare Satisfaction Generic Module was used to assess the parents’ satisfaction with different dimensions of health care. Seventy parents of children hospitalized in a neonatal or a paediatric surgery department were enrolled in intervention (eHealth device, n = 36) and control (no eHealth device, n = 34) groups.ResultsThe parents reported high overall satisfaction with the health care provided and were also highly satisfied within different dimensions of care. Moreover, they reported high satisfaction with using an eHealth device, although having support from the eHealth device was related to neither higher nor lower levels of satisfaction with care. There was a significant difference between fathers and mothers in the multivariate sub-analysis in certain instances regarding satisfaction with communication and the level of inclusion.ConclusionsParents were very satisfied with the health care provided, whether or not they received eHealth. Further research looking at groups with and without the support of an eHealth device is required to further develop future paediatric and neonatal care interventions. Communication and support through eHealth can be a tool to alleviate the distress parents experience after their child’s hospital admission, accommodate the family’s transfer to home, and increase satisfaction with care, but it needs to be evaluated before being implemented.Trial registrationClinical Trials NCT04150120, first registration 4/11/2019.

Parental satisfaction towards care given at neonatal intensive care unit in Ethiopia: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Satisfaction reflects a consumer's judgment regarding the quality of care received. Satisfaction of parents with healthcare services can serve as a reliable indicator for evaluating the quality of care given to their newborns. The aim of this study is to determine the pooled prevalence of parental satisfaction with neonatal intensive care unit services and its associated factors in Ethiopia. International databases such as PubMed/Medline, African Journals Online, SCOPUS, Web of Science, and Google Scholar were used to identify relevant published articles. Risk of bias was assessed independently by two authors. Funnel plot and Egger regression test were also employed to assess publication bias. A significant p-value of 0.05 or less suggests the presence of publication bias. PROSPERO registration number is CRD42024570971. The researchers initially identified a total of 1,264 articles through their search strategy from all databases. Finally, eleven studies met the inclusion criteria and were considered suitable for the final meta-analysis. The pooled prevalence of parental satisfaction with neonatal intensive care unit services in Ethiopia was 55% (95% CI: 49%-60%). There was neither publication bias nor small study impact among the included studies. Based on the subgroup analysis by region, the pooled prevalence in Oromia were slightly higher, 63% (95% CI: 57%-69%). Birth weight, length of hospital stays, place of residence, and availability of necessary information are factors identified as significant predictors for parental satisfaction with neonatal intensive care unit service. According to the study's findings, there is a lower pooled prevalence of parental satisfaction than in previous research that was published in some countries. By working to raise the satisfaction levels of parents in neonatal intensive care units, healthcare facilities can enhance the overall experience for both parents and infants, leading to improved outcomes and a more positive care environment.

Service activities in the form of tutoring carried out by students often have obstacles or obstacles in their implementation, so it is necessary to carry out further analysis of the factors, one of the analyzes that can be used is through the SWOT method approach. In addition, the responses or responses of the community to this activity also varied, ranging from perceptions to the level of satisfaction. It is necessary to study the relationship between perceptions and parents' satisfaction with tutoring activities carried out by students. This activity aims to improve students' abilities and understanding of school subject matter according to student levels, analyze and identify obstacles that occur during implementation, and analyze perceptions and levels of community satisfaction with tutoring activities. Broadly speaking the implementation method is divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation and research design. The location of the activity was carried out in Pamanuk Village with the target activities being elementary school students and parents of students as respondents. The form of evaluation is in the form of observation and essay questions. And to measure the relationship between perceptions and the level of parental satisfaction with this activity, questionnaire data were collected and processed in addition to interviews. Based on the results of the evaluation, around 65 percent of students who took tutoring were able to answer the questions given and a significance level of 0.847 between the relationship between perception and the level of parental satisfaction

Penerapan Data Mining Dalam Menentukan Tingkat Kepuasan Orangtua Terhadap Kinerja Guru Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19

The purpose of the study was to determine parental satisfaction with teacher performance during the COVID-19 pandemic. By knowing the level of parental satisfaction, the Elementary School can improve the quality of learning if it is not good and further improve teacher performance if the level of satisfaction is good. The method used in this study is the C4.5 Algorithm, where the data source used is a questionnaire/ questionnaire technique given to parents of students at SD MIN Bahkapul Pematangsiantar. The variables used include (1) Tangibles, (2) Reliability, (3) Responsive, (4) Assurance and (5) Empathy. The research test process usses RapidMiner software to create a decision tree. From the resultss of the analysis, it is hoped that it can improve the performance of SD MIN Bahkapul teachers so that the services provided to students can be even better.

THE EXTENT OF SATISFACTION OF THE FAMILIES OF STUDENTS IN A SITUATION OF DISABILITY WITH THE INTEGRATION OF THEIR CHILDREN IN THE INCLUSIVE CLASSROOMS

This study aims to determine the level of parent satisfaction in regard to mainstreaming their special needs children in inclusive classrooms. The sample of this study consisted of (50) parents. For the purpose of this study, the researcher developed a questionnaire to measure the level of parent satisfaction. - Parent satisfaction was measured according to the study four domains. In conclusion, the researcher presented at the end of the research a set of recommendations and proposals. The study recommends involving parents in planning the programs that are designed for their special needs children, because they are considered a very important element in the success of the mainstreaming process. The study recommends that future studies should focus on measuring the level of parent satisfaction about the mainstreaming process according to the other variables such as teaching strategies and curriculum

Applying after-action reviews to child and family teams to improve mental health service linkage within child welfare services: a study protocol

BackgroundHalf of child-welfare-involved children and adolescents meet the criteria for at least one mental health diagnosis. This project proposes to improve successful mental health service linkage in child welfare services (CWS) by adapting and testing the after-action review (AAR) team effectiveness intervention to augment the child and family team (CFT) services’ intervention. Despite being both required and a collaborative approach to service planning, CFT meetings are implemented with questionable fidelity and consistency, rarely including the voice of children and families as intended.MethodsUsing a parallel group trial design, with non-equivalent comparison groups, and qualitative and quantitative methodology, this study will tailor and assess the impact of the AAR on enhancing CFT outcomes. The authors will conduct a qualitative needs assessment targeting the ongoing implementation of the CFT services intervention in a large, publicly funded, CWS system. A qualitative inquiry consisting of interviews and focus groups with key stakeholders will result in the preparation of an action plan to address identified gaps between the current and desired CFT services intervention outcomes. The AAR implementation strategy will be adapted and tailored to address the CFT services’ intervention needs. To test the effectiveness of the AAR on improving outcomes associated with the CFT services intervention, we will utilize blocked randomization of four CWS caseworkers from two CWS system regions to either the intervention condition (CFT + AAR) or standard implementation (CFT as usual). The authors will collect data from the CWS caseworkers and additional CFT members via web-based surveys. Mechanisms of the AAR team effectiveness intervention for CFT implementation will be assessed.DiscussionBy inclusion of child and family voice, the AAR-enhanced CFT should lead to increased fidelity to the CFT intervention and greater levels of parental satisfaction with the service and shared decision-making, thus resulting in enhanced follow-through with service plans and linkage to mental health treatment services for children. The knowledge gained by this randomized clinical trial has the potential to benefit service delivery and integration for CWS leaders, caseworkers, formal and informal CFT member support persons, parents/caregivers, and children with open cases. Healthcare provider’s performance monitoring for undercovered population during the Covid-19 epidemic, 2021, Tehran: a cross-sectional study

BackgroundConsidering the necessity and importance of providing health care to children during the Covid-19 epidemic, this study aims to investigate primary health workers performance for infants under 6 months during the Covid-19 epidemic and parent’s satisfaction level with these services.MethodsThis was a cross-sectional study conducted among the defined population of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. The descriptive analysis focused on frequencies and percentages. A chi-square test was used to compare the categorical data between the studied groups.ResultsThree-hundred seventy-two participants from two District Health Networks of Islamshahr 90 (24%) and Shahr-e-rey 107 (29%) and South Tehran Health Center 175 (47%) were included in the study. About 45% of 2 months old, 54% of 4 months old, and 42% of 6 months old received full basic healthcare package. Coverage of services such as vaccination and height, weight, and head circumference in all three age groups and health networks was 100%. Training in handwashing, touch the face, and hygiene while breastfeeding (64.4%, p = 0.043) and not to use a pacifier (64%, p = 0.038) in Islamshahr Health Network was significantly less than other health networks. The level of parental satisfaction with the provided services was 90.1%. There is a significant association between the dissatisfaction of the participants and not receiving the services completely (p = 0.000).ConclusionDuring the Covid-19 pandemic, the quality and quantity of primary health care to children have been declined. The focus of health workers was on essential physical health services for infants, and education was almost neglected during this period.

Parental Satisfaction towards Care Given at Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Associated Factors in Comprehensive and Referral Hospitals of Southern Ethiopia.

Patient satisfaction is an important aspect of the quality of care in the inpatient setting. In neonatal intensive care units, parents' satisfaction and their experiences are fundamental to assessing clinical practice and improving the quality of care delivered to infants. Hence then, it reduces infant mortality rates globally. In Ethiopia, few studies address the level of parental satisfaction towards care given at neonatal intensive care unit and no single study was done in the study area. Therefore, this study is aimed at assessing parental satisfaction towards care given at neonatal intensive care unit and associated factors in comprehensive and referral hospitals of southern Ethiopia. An institutional-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 401 parents who visited neonatal intensive care from March 28 to April 28, 2022. The data were assorted via a structured interviewer-administered questionnaire using ODK collect version and exported to SPSS window version 25 for further cleaning and analysis. Bivariate and multivariate logistic regressions were used to identify factors associated with parental satisfaction with care given at the neonatal intensive care unit. The adjusted odds ratio with 95% CI was used to show the strength of the association, and a P value < 0.05 was used to declare the cutoff point to determine the level of significance. In this study, 63% (95% CI: 58%, 68%) of the parents were satisfied with the care given at the neonatal intensive care unit. Factors associated with parental satisfaction towards care given at neonatal intensive care unit were parents with no formal education (AOR: 0.15; 95% CI: 0.07-0.31), availability of necessary information using direction indicator (AOR: 3.14; 95% CI: 1.85-5.31), and availability of enough chairs in waiting area (AOR: 3.26; 95% CI: 1.81-5.87). Nearly two-thirds of the parents were satisfied with the care given at the neonatal intensive care unit. The availability of enough chairs in the waiting area and the creation of direction indicators are key issues to improve parental satisfaction towards their neonatal care.

Growth, tolerance and safety outcomes with use of an extensively hydrolyzed casein-based formula in infants with cow's milk protein allergy.

To evaluate growth, tolerance and safety outcomes with use of an extensively hydrolyzed casein-based formula (eHCF) in infants with cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA). A total of 226 infants (mean ± SD age: 106.5 ± 39.5 days, 52.7% were girls) with CMPA who received eHCF comprising at least half of the daily dietary intake were included. Data on anthropometrics [weight for age (WFA), length for age (LFA) and weight for length (WFL) z-scores] were recorded at baseline (visit 1), while data on infant feeding and stool records, anthropometrics and Infant Feeding and Stool Patterns and Formula Satisfaction Questionnaires were recorded at visit 2 (on Days 15 ± 5) and visit 3 (on Days 30 ± 5). From baseline to visit 2 and visit 3, WFA z-scores (from -0.60 ± 1.13 to -0.54 ± 1.09 at visit 2, and to -0.44 ± 1.05 at visit 3, p < 0.001) and WFL z-scores (from -0.80 ± 1.30 to -0.71 ± 1.22 at visit 2, and to -0.64 ± 1.13 at visit 3, p = 0.002) were significantly increased. At least half of infants never experienced irritability or feeding refusal (55.7%) and spit-up after feeding (50.2%). The majority of mothers were satisfied with the study formula (93.2%), and wished to continue using it (92.2%). In conclusion, eHCF was well-accepted and tolerated by an intended use population of infants ≤ 6 months of age with CMPA and enabled adequate volume consumption and improved growth indices within 30 days of utilization alongside a favorable gastrointestinal tolerance and a high level of parental satisfaction.

Comparative evaluation of clinical performance, child and parental satisfaction of Bioflex, zirconia and stainless steel crowns in pediatric patients

Background: Pediatric treatment is challenging in patients with early childhood caries. It is difficult due to the adjacency of pulp, miniature tooth size, and thin enamel compared to permanent dentition. Nowadays, aesthetics play an important role in managing decayed teeth, and children need treatment that includes full coverage crowns in either stainless steel or anesthetic crown in zirconia or the recently developed Bioflex crown. The Bioflex crowns are highly flexible and aesthetically preformed pediatric crowns with combined stainless steel and zirconia properties. This study aims to assess the clinical performance and child and parental satisfaction of Bioflex crowns compared to zirconia and stainless steel crowns. Methods: In the current in-vivo comparison of Bioflex crowns with zirconia and stainless steel crowns, children aged three to seven years old will be selected, and 72 primary teeth requiring crowns will be randomly distributed into three groups, n = 24: Group I: Preformed stainless steel crown, control; Group II: Preformed Bioflex crown; Group III: Preformed zirconia crown. Crowns will be evaluated for recurrent caries, plaque accumulation, restoration failure, gingival status opposing tooth wear, and clinicians and parental satisfaction at zero, three, six, and 12 months. Newly introduced aesthetic crowns will serve as a versatile alternative for restoring primary decayed teeth that over-performed aesthetic and conventional crowns. Conclusions: The Bioflex crown will be assessed as a better aesthetic substitute for the future, and the satisfaction level of parents will be evaluated. Effectiveness and Tolerability of a New Formulation of a Topical Anesthetic in Reduction of Pain and Parents’ Satisfaction in Pediatric Dentistry

The study's research design was a randomized controlled clinical trial on 300 children, aged 5-8 years, divided into two groups, each of 150 patients, according to pre-injection procedures (presence or absence of topical anesthesia). The injection pain was analyzed using the Wong-Baker Faces Pain Rating Scale (PRS) and the Face, Legs, Activity, Cry, Consolability Scale (FLACC). At the end of the procedures, patients' parents' satisfaction was recorded. The data were analyzed using the Student's T test, Mann-Whitney U test and Chi-square test. There were statistically significant differences between the two groups both in the PRS and FLACC ratings. Both in subjective and objective pain evaluations, significantly higher pain ratings were observed in the group without topical anesthesia. There was also a statistically significant difference in terms of patients' parents' judgment, as in the group with the use of topical anesthetic the level of parental satisfaction is statistically higher. The experimental anesthetic has proved very effective in its use as a topical gel in both pain measurement scales, thus validating its use on the oral mucosa, for its pharmacological and psychological effect, in the total absence of local and systemic side effects.

Parental satisfaction and associated factors towards the Service Quality at the Taif Children's Hospital

This study aims to examine the level of parental satisfaction, as expressed through the perceptions of parents regarding the quality of services at Taif Children’s Hospital in attempt to come up with better measures to improve the quality of services delivered to the patients, and to identify factors associated with this level of satisfaction. A well-developed validated and reliable questionnaire including six domains: “general satisfaction”, “facilities and amenities”, “staff attitude and behavior”, “communication and information sharing”, “timeliness and accessibility”, and “continuity of care” was used in this cross-sectional study on 4871 parents, over a 3-month period. The degree to which sociodemographic characteristics and parent’s satisfaction are associated was assessed using multivariate regression analysis. The results of this study showed that the level of parental satisfaction with all 17 items of the study questionnaire was high. The staff attitude and behavior domain received a mean of (3.89 out of 5) compared to (3.89) for general satisfaction. Timeliness and accessibility (3.87) was followed by communication and information sharing (3.81), and continuity of care (3.8). The facilities and amenities domain received the lowest rating (3.74). In terms of the factors associated with parents' satisfaction with the service quality, the current study showed that elderly age, single, divorce or widowed, lower educated parents without health literacy had lower levels of satisfaction than younger, married, more educated parents with health literacy, respectively. The findings of the study could serve as a reference point for assessing the quality of healthcare services in Saudi Arabia and provide a foundation for initiating quality assurance processes.

„Ucieczka z systemu”. Edukacja domowa z perspektywy rodziców dzieci szkolnych

Homeschooling has gained significant interest in the recent years. Despite this, the number of home schooled pupils in Poland does not exceed 0.5% of all students, making homeschooling a niche alternative. This article attempts to discuss the need to revive the awareness around home education, including reasons for choosing this educational path, its advantages, disadvantages, consequences and the level of parental satisfaction. Starting with the critique of the current schooling system as motivation in moving towards educational alternatives, I conclude homeschooling to be an escape from the traditional schooling system. I have analysed data collected from parents of school-aged children in an attempt to recreate their view of contemporary home education. In contrast to existing research, my findings were collected under conditions of remote learning related to the covid19 pandemic. I believe that embedding my research in a quantitative strategy will allow further systematic exploration of this area and consolidation of reliable comprehension of home education in Poland.
