MACRO STRUCTURE OF BILINGUAL (ENGLISH-KARAKALPAK) DICTIONARIES

This article examines the macro structure of bilingual English-Karakalpak dictionaries, highlighting the unique challenges and considerations in lexicographical organization. The macro structure, which encompasses the arrangement and organization of dictionary entries, plays a crucial role in ensuring user accessibility and practical functionality, particularly in bilingual dictionaries. The study begins with a theoretical overview of lexicographic principles, distinguishing between macro and micro structures and discussing common challenges in bilingual dictionary compilation. Key aspects of macro structuring, such as alphabetical organization, entry selection criteria, handling of dialects and loanwords, and cross-referencing systems, are analyzed in the context of English-Karakalpak dictionaries. Ultimately, this article underscores the critical role of well-structured bilingual dictionaries in preserving the Karakalpak language and supporting bilingual education and cultural exchange.

LINGUISTIC UNITS FORMING CAUSATIVE MEANING

The article deals with comparative study of linguistic units that express causative meaning in English and Karakalpak languages. It is noted that there are similarities and differences of causative structures that can be formed morphologically and syntactically. Moreover, some scholars’ views were stated and examples of causative verbs were taken from literary texts in order to reveal causative meaning used in the text. Due to the study, analytical form is used to express causative meaning in English while it is mostly formed morphologically in Karakalpak language.

КАРАКАЛПАКСКО-ТАТАРСКИЕ ПЕРЕВОДЫ – КУЛЬТУРНЫЕ СВЯЗИ ДВУХ НАРОДОВ

This article examines the cultural and literary ties between the two Turkic peoples – the Karakalpak and Tatar languages. The translation of the work from one language to another is analyzed. The role and contribution of translations of scientists and poets is noted. The famous Karakalpak national poet I. Yusupov translated the poems of the Tatar poet G. Tukai from Tatar into Karakalpak. The article notes the great work of I. Yusupov on the translation and preparation of a collection of poems by G. Tukai and other poets of the Tatar people. At the same time, Professor of Kazan Federal University H. Minnegulov, in his articles about I. Yusupov and other Karakalpak scientists, notes their merits in spreading the work of G. Tukai among other Turkic languages. And he included these articles in the encyclopedia of G. Tukai. The article also focuses on the work of poet and educator S. Majitov, a Tatar by nationality, who lived in Karakalpakstan and participated in the creation of textbooks on the Karakalpak language. In the 20s of the twentieth century, he created the first textbooks for Karakalpak schools, engaged in education, worked and directed a school in the Kungrad district. He is also a poet, writer and playwright. He wrote his works in the Karakalpak language. He actively participated in the creation of the Karakalpak alphabet and orthography. The article notes the merits of Tatar and Karakalpak scientists and poets who put a bridge on international relations and cooperation in the field of philology.

THE USE OF SOMATIC PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN KARAKALPAK FOLK PROVERBS

This article discusses somatic phraseological units in folk proverbs of Karakalpak folklore, that is, phraseological units that come with the names of the human body. At the same time, phraseological units are very effectively used in the Karakalpak language as a work of art and in the spoken language. We can see that they convey thoughts in a concise, direct, impressive, emotional-expressive way. This article analyzes somatic phraseological units in proverbs and sayings in a linguocultural aspect.

Online Platform of Mathematical Terms in Karakalpak Language

The paper is devoted to the creation of an online platform of mathematical terms in Karakalpak language and its importance for education, cultural heritage and development of scientific research in Karakalpakstan. The platform provides access to a rich base of mathematical terminology in the native language, which facilitates the learning and teaching of mathematics for Karakalpak students and teachers. It contributes to the preservation of cultural values, enriches linguistic resources and stimulates scientific cooperation in the field of mathematics. The creation of this platform emphasizes the importance of linguistic diversity and cultural identity in the context of scientific and educational progress.

Symbolic meanings of numbers in proverbs

It is well known that in the oral tradition, literature, ethnography and worldview of the peoples of the world, the number system has a special significance. For this reason, their meanings in the text of the work have been specially studied in the field offolklore and literature. The article examines the proverbs of English and Karakalpak language and its functional-semantic features of the numbers encountered in the text of folk proverbs.

Structural and semantic analysis of anthropolexemes in the English and Karakalpak Languages

This anthropolexical microsystem has not been studied as such and has not been identified to a greater or lesser extent: firstly, in the modern Karakalpak language, and secondly, in a comparative and contrastive manner between the English and Karakalpak languages. The source and material were explanatory dictionaries of modern English and a four-volume dictionary of the Karakalpak language. Let us note the fact that the anthropolexical microsystem attracts attention by the fact that the units included in it are heterogeneous in their semantic and functional orientation. Three groups can be distinguished here: the first will include types of professional names that are neutral in relation to the characterization or assessment of a person (flyer ushıwshı-pilot), the second group will contain words that characterize a person or evaluate him positively, and the third - negatively.

Borrowings of english sports terms in the karakalpak language: a linguistic analysis

The phenomenon of lexical borrowing is a significant aspect of language evolution, reflecting the cultural and societal interactions between communities. This study examines the borrowings of English sports terms in the Karakalpak language, focusing on the linguistic adaptations and semantic shifts that occur during the process. Through a comprehensive analysis of borrowed terms, their usage patterns, and socio-cultural contexts, this research sheds light on the dynamics of language contact and the influence of global sporting culture on minority languages such as Karakalpak. Data was collected from various sources including sports events, media, and interviews with native speakers. The findings reveal intriguing linguistic phenomena and contribute to our understanding of language contact and lexical innovation in multilingual environments.

Exploring similar proverbs between the karakalpak and english language

According to the result of the research, polysemous words are words that have multiple meanings or interpretations, and translating them accurately requires a deep understanding of the context and cultural nuances.

This thesis examines the current problems in translating different terms, especially in terms of geopolitical terms and antroponyms from English into Karakalpak language and some methods and ways of translating these terms paying attention to the peculiar feature of Karakalpak language. It also discusses useful tips and suggestions in translating proper names using transcription, transliteration and national adaptation.

NATIONAL AND CULTURAL PECULIARITIES OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS WITH ORNITHONYM COMPONENTS IN ENGLISH AND KARAKALPAK LANGUAGE

The purpose of this article is to identify the national and cultural peculiarities of phraseological units with ornithonym components in English and Karakalpak language. The novelty of the study is that the authors have carried out work on systematizing phraseological units with zoonyms, namely designations birds, in two languages: English and Karakalpak; In addition, the research material was distributed across thematic groups, which made it possible to identify interesting patterns. Semantic analysis ornithophraseologisms showed, on the one hand, similarity, and on the other hand, differences in the use of ornithonyms in composition of phraseological units with similar meanings in different languages. Adaptation of English Borrowings in The Karakalpak Language

Modern linguistic phenomena in the Karakalpak language can be correlated with the rapid activation of borrowed vocabulary, this is determined primarily by those global fluctuations that occur in connection with the democratization of society, open to cooperation with other countries in various fields of activity, as well as the processes of information exchange. The article deals with the adaptation of borrowings, including anglicisms, in the Karakalpak language. Borrowings based on relations between the two peoples duly penetrated into the composition of the Karakalpak language. Based on the foregoing, we tried to systematize the most common terms used to nominate various types of groups of borrowed vocabulary

ON THE STUDY OF PREDICATIVE WORDS IN THE KARAKALPAK LANGUAGE

The article deals with the study of predicative words in the Karakalpak language. To prove the statement that predicative words in the modern Karakalpak language are a separate part of speech, knowledge of the study of this issue is indicated as one of its main functions. Opinions on the consideration of predicative words in Turkic languages as a separate part of speech and the peculiarities of their use are also indicated.

SYNTACTIC-SEMANTIC REALIZATION OF CAUSATIVE STRUCTURES IN ENGLISH AND KARAKALPAK LANGUAGES

The article deals with the syntactic-semantic expression of causative structures in English and Karakalpak languages. Causative structures in comparatively studied languages have their own characteristics, and the semantics of causative verbs in English and Karakalpak languages are presented in a certain classification. In the Karakalpak language, causation is formed under the influence of the lexical meaning of the verb, certain morphological forms and context while in English it is formed by analytical and lexical means. Moreover, it is represented that if the causative structure is used together with the main predicate, it acts as a complex participle.

Methods of Expressing Parcellation Phenomenon in Karakalpak Language

In this article, the characteristic features of the parcellation phenomenon in the Karakalpak language are analyzed on the example of the works of T. Kaipbergenov. The skill of the writer in revealing the characteristics of the hero through the parcellation phenomenon is shown. Also, information on the methods of expressing of this phenomenon in oral speech, literary text, its place is given. The difference of parcellation units from other linguistic phenomena is determined.The study of the phenomenon of parcellation in general linguistics, linguistic units equaled to this phenomenon, and their differences are shown.

The Correspondence of the Equal Two-Component Phraseologies in Terms of Construction

In the article, the grammatical compatibility of two-component phraseology that stands out as a different structure in the Karakalpak language is discussed with examples. Various grammatical formants connecting the lexemes in the composition of such phraseology are used in the form of repetitions or referring to the similarity. Correspondences in the creation of phraseology create strong harmony, and rhythm.

SEMANTICAL AND STYLISTICAL PECULIARITIES OF PARTICLES IN KARAKALPAK LANGUAGE

This article focuses on examining the semantics and stylistics of particles in the Karakalpak language, a Turkic language primarily spoken in Karakalpakstan. Particles play a crucial role in shaping the meaning and expression of sentences in any language, and this study aims to shed light on their significance within the specific linguistic context of Karakalpak. The article explores the semantic properties of particles in the Karakalpak language, investigating their individual meanings, functions, and roles within sentence structures. It examines how particles contribute to the formation of different linguistic categories, such as aspect, tense, modality, and negation. By delving into the nuances of particle usage, the study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of their semantic contributions and the implications for overall sentence meaning. EXPRESSING THE INDEFINITENESS WITH NUMBER “ONE”

The article presents the investigation of meaning and usage of the number "one" in Karakalpak language this is due to the fact that number "one" is used in different cases rather than its derivative meaning as a number. In addition to this, there is given the comparison of the number "one" in the Karakalpak language with English and German languages. The result of the research depicts that the similarity of the usage of number "one" that it means indefiniteness not only in the Karakalpak language, but also in English and German languages. However, the difference of the usage of number "one" is that when the number "one" is used as indefinite article, it retains the meaning of the number, which indicates the indefiniteness of that unit. Overall, the number "one" mainly expresses the meaning of indefiniteness in Karakalpak language
