Does Home or School Matter More? The Effect of Family and Institutional Socialization on Religiosity: The Case of Hungarian Youth

The proportion of people who receive a religious upbringing at home and attend religious educational institutions varies across time and space. It is debatable how effectively various forms of religious socialization contribute to shaping one’s religious identity. In Hungary, the proportion of young people receiving a religious upbringing is declining, but the church-run school sector is growing, which is accompanied by an increase in the proportion of pupils in a church-run school who do not receive a religious upbringing at home. This provides an opportunity to compare the impact of different socialization settings on religiosity. In the present study, we investigate how religious upbringing at home, church school attendance, and participation in religious education affect the different dimensions of young people’s religiosity, hypothesizing that religious education within the family is decisive; but without it, the effect of the church school cannot be observed. For the analysis, we used data from the questionnaire-based Hungarian Youth Survey 2016 and 2020. Our results show that the influence of religious upbringing at home is dominant, but church schools significantly support young people’s religious identity and practice without having an impact on the content of young people’s beliefs and value preferences.

Deciphering the student dilemma: The quest for passion and purpose on addmision of tadris biology department a religious higher education institutions

The primary objective of this study is to scrutinize the underlying factors that inform students' choices when selecting the Tadris Biology major at a Religious Higher Education Institution located in Jambi. The research adopts a qualitative, remarkably grounded theory approach as its methodological framework. The central aim is to comprehensively examine the justifications and rationales that steer students toward their decision to pursue the Tadris Biology major. The research methodology is firmly anchored in qualitative paradigms, and grounded theory provides the overarching structure for this investigation. The data collection technique in this research is by using a questionnaire. Data analysis is systematically carried out through thematic analysis, allowing for extracting key themes and insights. The sample selection process is methodically executed, utilizing the theoretical sampling method. The samples were 98 students registered in the Tadris Biology department at an Islamic college. The research findings collectively underscore the significant influence of Gender-Based Considerations, Parental and Familial Influence, Personal Interest in Biology as a Major Field of Study, an Exploration into the Impact of School Background, and Prospects for Future Careers in steering students' decisions within this academic domain.

INFLUENCE OF FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE AND RELIGIOSITY TOWARDS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT BEHAVIOR WITH FINANCIAL ATTITUDE AS A MODERATION VARIABLE

Indonesia is one of the countries with a primarily small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) based economy. Cooperatives are a vital component of Indonesia's economic landscape, and their development is not limited to conventional cooperatives initiated by the community. It also extends to cooperative groups associated with Islamic boarding schools. These boarding schools serve not only as religious and social education institutions but also as agents of societal development and social change. Despite their potential for economic empowerment, the progress of cooperative boarding schools tends to be slower compared to conventional cooperatives. This research aims to examine the influence of financial knowledge and religiosity on financial management behavior, with financial attitude as a moderating variable. The study employs a quantitative approach and targets Kopontren administrators in the Regency of Blitar, using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) tests and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The research findings indicate that financial attitude and religiosity have an impact, with financial attitude serving as a moderator in the relationship between financial knowledge and financial management behavior. However, religiosity does not have a significant influence on financial management behavior. The results of this research are expected to provide a foundation for developing a model of financial management behavior for Kopontren administrators and government initiatives aimed at empowering Kopontren institutions.

Ekoteologi dalam Menyikapi Krisis Ekologi di Indonesia Perspektif Seyyed Hossein Nasr

This library research descriptively explains the causes of the ecological crisis in Indonesia by using the ecotheological approach in the construction of Seyyed Hossein Nasr’s thought. This research shows that the ecological crisis is correlated with a perspective that is not in favor of nature (anthrophocentrism), modern humans lose their existence-spiritual and understanding of nature that is desacralized. Ecotheology is then used as a strategic basis for solving the ecological crisis in the midst of Indonesian religious society by mainstreaming ecotheology through religious leaders, pesantren, educational institutions, and NGOs.

Registered Muslim Religious Organizations and Educational Institutions in Kyrgyzstan

This article presents an analysis of the Concept of State Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the religious sphere for 2021-2026, revealing the role of religion in the development of the country. The new Concept defines the principles and mechanisms of interaction between state bodies, local governments, religious associations and communities, as well as other institutions of civil society. To ensure social partnership of religious organizations in the implementation of state policy based on the Concept, mechanisms of dialogue and interaction are being introduced. They are based on the formation of sustainable dialogue platforms with the participation of all interested parties on the issue of religious policy.

PEMBELAJARAN QIRᾹAT AL KUTUB DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL-HUDA TINJAUAN KURIKULUM, BAHAN AJAR DAN METODE

<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>Islamic boarding schools are known as religious educational institutions and religious problems. In modern times, Al-Huda Islamic Boarding School still applies traditional learning systems such as Qirāatul Al-Pole learning. The development of Islamic boarding school education is inseparable from the existence of a curriculum that is used as a reference in the implementation of education and plays an active role in achieving the educational goals of Islamic boarding schools, as well as teaching materials and methods. So, the purpose of this research is to find out the curriculum, teaching materials, and learning methods of the yellow book at the Al-Huda Islamic Boarding School. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods, with data collection techniques by interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Al-Huda Islamic boarding school in learning qirāatul al-polar uses a curriculum related to nahwu, sharf, and balaghah, the teaching materials used are basic books such as the safinah and tijan books using the sorogan method. Not a few students often take part in Musabqoh qiraatul al-pole (MQK) competitions at the sub-district to national levels and often win prizes.</em></p>

Pelatihan Digital dengan Aplikasi Canva Sebagai Penunjang Kegiatan Promosi di TPQ Bina Ummah

TPQ Bina Ummah is a religious educational institution, especially Islamic religion and other religious materials. Every activity carried out by TPQ Bina Ummah needs to be documented as a means of information to parents or the community. Information on activities carried out at TPQ Bina Ummah so far has only been conveyed in the whatsapp group of parents of students or fellow staff and educators by sending photos of activities by adding words as information. This information is often unreadable because it is covered by comments from fellow members in the WhatsApp group. This very narrow range of information which only contains members of the group is one of the obstacles to information that should be able to reach the community, especially the people within the TPQ Bina Ummah environment. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how to process data to be more informative, especially in terms of design. The training conducted with Canva as a support for promotional and marketing activities at TPQ Bina Ummah aims to support the competence of staff and educators in the field of digital marketing, especially in processing activity data into more informative information. Based on the results of the questionnaire regarding the evaluation of Community Service activities that had been carried out, the participants gave very good ratings. As many as 72% of participants stated that this activity was very useful and 60% of the training participants stated that they were very interested in participating again in the next training.

Pendidikan Moderasi Beragama Di Pesantren

Islamic boarding schools, as uniquely Indonesian religious educational institutions, possess their own distinctiveness in nurturing and promoting values of religious moderation. This research aims to uncover the values of religious moderation cultivated at the Harisul Khairaat Islamic Boarding School using a qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques in this study involved observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis was conducted using the model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the values of moderation developed in this boarding school encompass tawassuth (moderation in religious practice), i'tidal (justice), tasamuh (tolerance), syura (consultation), qudwah (leadership), patriotism, and anti-violence.

Systematic Literature Review: Transformation of Islamic Higher Education Institutions (Examination of Ontology, Epistemology, and Axiology)

The dichotomy of knowledge is the main problem of Islamization and integration of knowledge in the concept of Islamic education. In essence, Islam does not recognize the division of knowledge, but it cannot be denied that in its history there have been explanations about knowledge that are obligatory ain and obligatory kifayah. This is the spirit of Islamic higher education institutions to carry out institutional transformations, curricula, to the level of application in the context of life. The change in status from STAIN/IAIN to UIN is an inevitability that has been going on since the 2000s. The aim of the article is to find philosophical concepts (ontology, epistemology and axiology) in the transformation of Islamic Religious Higher Education institutions (PTKIN). The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR) with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach. The data sources for this article are journals and articles related to the topic of discussion via Google Scholar and then extracted to be used as discussion material. The results obtained are the freedom for State Islamic higher education institutions to innovate in institutions, faculties and curricula in order to create a UIN that can integrate Religious and General Sciences through the policies of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion.

Breaking The Silence: Civil society organizations promoting women’s personal security against sexual violence in Jombang Islamic boarding schools

The prevalence of sexual violence against women (SVAW) in Indonesian Islamic boarding schools highlights that these institutions have not yet become safe spaces. The physical and psychological harm of sexual violence experienced by women poses a significant threat to their human security, a fundamental right that the state should ideally ensure. However, promoting personal security requires the collective support of society as a whole. This study focuses on Jombang Regency's pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), which is renowned as a city of Islamic education or “Kota Santri”. It explores the role of local civil society organizations (CSOs) in promoting personal security against sexual violence in these settings. Through qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews with CSOs’ representatives and a comprehensive literature review from 2017 to 2022, the research reveals that CSOs in Jombang Regency engage in prevention, protection, and empowerment. However, the roles are not fully optimized, particularly in terms of protection, due to limited implementation and a focus on case management. The findings highlight the importance of implementing binding policies to govern pesantren management and encourage active participation in preventing and addressing sexual violence within religious educational institutions.

SPECIFICS OF LEGISLATIVE REGULATION OF PUBLIC PROCUREMENT UNDER THE LEGAL REGIME OF MARTIAL LAW AND POST-WAR RECONSTRUCTION OF UKRAINE

The article examines the transformation of legislation on public and defense procurement during the period of martial law in Ukraine. An analysis of announced public procurements in Ukraine during 2017-2022 was carried out. The regulatory and legal regulation of the sphere of public procurement and its impact on ensuring the country's defense capability, providing consumers with the necessary goods, works and services, prohibiting their implementation with individual residents, allocating funds to the affected regions of Ukraine, etc. have been studied. A classification of normative acts regulating the issue of public procurement under martial law was formed and they were divided into three groups: regulations of higher legal force governing public procurement; regulations on the introduction of martial law and its legal regime; and regulations governing public procurement under martial law. The volume of destruction and damage to objects as a result of the war (residential and administrative buildings, cultural and religious buildings, roads, bridges, railways, educational and healthcare institutions, kindergartens, energy, trade and agricultural facilities, vehicles, etc.) was studied. It has been established that public procurement will play an important role in the post-war reconstruction of the country, and therefore, the scientific community is discussing the issues of reforming its system in the future in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development, simplifying the procurement procedure, further adaptation of national legislation to the requirements of the European Union, and development of digitalization in this area, taking into account the most advanced world experience in public procurement, which will contribute to the modernization of the national economy. Ways of the development of regulatory and legal regulation of public procurement in the conditions of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine are proposed.

Pengembangan Paham Moderasi Beragama di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ikhlas Ujung Kabupaten Bone

Moderate attitudes in understanding and practicing religious teachings are highly necessary to be instilled in every Muslim, as they lead to the avoidance of conflicts with people from different beliefs. Islamic teachings about moderation in worship, as written in the Qur'an and Hadith, imply the principles of justice and balance in practicing religion. These principles are the essence of Islamic teachings that emphasize the "wasathiyah" or moderate approach in adhering to religious doctrines. Providing an understanding of religious moderation must be integrated into the curriculum of an Educational Institution. Hence, this research focuses on Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) as the target of the study, as they are one of the Religious Educational Institutions in Indonesia. By employing the Community Based Research method and using a quantitative approach in data analysis, this study concludes that the development of the understanding of religious moderation in Pondok Pesantren Al-Ikhlas Ujung, Bone Regency, has shown improvement. Islamic Boarding School Paradigm: As a Religious Education Institution and Strengthening Student Character

In Era Society 5.0, Indonesia is faced with the swift currents of globalization, a process of order owned by the global community that knows no boundaries. This is also happening in the field of education in Indonesia which is the cause of the nation's downturn on the grounds that our education does not produce good human resources. National character is something that is important to advance a nation. To overcome this, changes are needed in the learning of the Islamic boarding school program for students' religious learning. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the application of character education in religious learning through a short Islamic boarding school program. The method used is descriptive qualitative by collecting data through observation and interviews. These observations and interviews were conducted with teachers and students at MAN 3 Palembang. Data analysis uses the theory of Milles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study were: 1) At MAN 3 Palembang, they implemented religious learning through several activities, namely book study, speech, al-Barzani, reciting al-Qur’an, reading Yasin, evening tutoring, and performing arts; 2) The characters that can be produced from these activities are religious, responsible, disciplined, confident, creative, communicative, curious, polite, courteous, patient, sincere, humble, independent, honest, respectful, creative, and innovative. The findings of this study are that the flash Islamic boarding school program implemented at MAN 3 Palembang can build student' character to become better individuals.

Conceptual and Contextual Analysis of Spirituality in Adolescents with Grounded Theory Approach

This research aims to contribute to understanding the concept of spirituality among individuals of the Z Generation by delineating more specific boundaries within the field of spiritual studies. The connections within the minds of adolescent individuals between the concept of spirituality and the areas of socialization that start in childhood and accelerate during adolescence, within the context of their own cultural codes, have been examined to address the need for understanding. Given the developmental stage that the youth of the 21st century are in, where they construct their own concepts of value, it is noteworthy how they establish cognitive contexts, social interaction areas, and their associations with the concept of spirituality at this critical juncture. The notion of spirituality among young individuals, which is continuously discussed to a certain extent in relevant media and public domains, necessitates opening up to their world, and understanding the spiritual perception needs and expectations of young individuals, from their perspective. This study aims to reveal the perception of spirituality in adolescents, understanding the conceptual, operational, traditional, environmental, and socio-political codes of spirituality within their contexts. In line with this purpose, the behaviors attributed to spirituality by young individuals, the values they inherit as cultural, spiritual heritage, their awareness of the spiritual values of their peer groups, their perspectives on the societal order they live in, the characteristics they emphasize in their self-identifications, the relationship they establish between religion and spirituality, and their perceived levels of religiousness have been investigated. To both trace the connections of the individual and interpret the regions being studied and analyzed, a predictive paradigm was adopted, and a qualitative design was preferred. Ethical committee permission was obtained on 09.03.2023. The research was conducted between 10.04.2023 and 10.05.2023 for data collection. The sample group was composed of students attending formal education in Ankara, from Yenimahalle Tevfik İleri Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, Mamak Hüseyin Gazi Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, and Mamak Volkan Gürbüzalp Anatolian High School. Data were obtained from 36 young individuals aged between 13 and 18, through 11 fully structured open-ended questions. The data were collected using a semi-structured interview form. Following one-on-one interviews, the data obtained were analyzed through thematic coding and grounded theory analysis. As a result of the study, participants' spirituality was shaped around three core categories. When positioning their spirituality, adolescent individuals create relational connections, such as friendships, institutions (religious and national education institutions), social relationships, politics, and structural connections. They develop their concepts of spirituality by drawing on information from family, culture, and religious institutions. Furthermore, in intrinsic experiences, the concept of spirituality shaped through material phenomena, self-state, and connection with the transcendent stands apart from others. Each core category provides a detailed structure of adolescent individuals' spirituality through sub-categories. Contrary to common belief, it was observed that the concept of spirituality among adolescent individuals is similarly nourished as in adults. Additionally, feelings related to individual well-being, material possessions received as gifts, and established family and friendship bonds, were found to be part of adolescents' definitions of spirituality, distinct from a purely religious context. Feelings of individual well-being are defined as their spirituality, independent of religious sentiment. These feelings encompass the sense of belonging felt in established family and friendship bonds, the memory of gifted and cherished items, and the pride of being an individual who displays socially accepted behavior and does what is right when interacting with society. Leadership is defined as the art or process of influencing and directing other people, so that they want to try to achieve the goals to be achieved by the group. Islamic education leadership is a leader as a responsible individual in an Islamic religious education institution, has an obligation to try so that all the potential that exists in the institution can be utilized as well as possible in order to achieve the expected goals. Descriptive research methodology through a qualitative approach, namely the technique of data collection is done through interviews, observation, and documentation. After that the data collected was analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques, and finally drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research conducted, namely that in leading it is necessary to be wise, able to accommodate and able to accommodate complaints from all teachers. After all, a leader is an example and role model. Not only governing but must be able to provide service. Because the problems that arise from the teacher will later affect their performance.

Eksistensi, Regulasi, dan Fungsi Meunasah Sebagai Lembaga Pendidikan Islam di Aceh

This article aims to analyze the existence, regulation, and function of the meunasah as a center for religious and cultural activities in society, including Islamic religious education institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data were collected from literature related to research objects and field data through observation, interviews and documentation. The research findings show that the existence of meunasah is not only a cultural heritage which is the center of community activities, but also an institution that has a clear legal standing. The clarity of the legal status of the meunasah as a center for various community activities departs from the special status of Aceh as an autonomous region. The existence of meunasah is a local translation for educational activities in the Muslim world community, especially from the Middle East, namely madrasas. The word meunasah is also an adaptation of the tongue of the Acehnese people from the word madrasa. By regulation, various qanuns have been stipulated regarding the existence of the meunasah. Among the important functions of the meunasah is the implementation of Islamic religious education. The existence of religious education institutions in meunasah in agrarian societies is part of the hierarchy of the traditional education system. Meanwhile in urban areas, the existence of meunasah as educational institutions is a center of recitation such as center for religious studies and center for the study of the Qur’an.

The Development and Dynamics of Pesantren in Banten

This article explores the development and the dynamics of pesantren in Banten, a province located in the westernmost of Java. Using historical and anthropological data, I explore the development and dynamics of pesantren. I contend that some pesantrens in Banten not only function as religious educational institution but also to some extent function as political instruments in which the kyais or the leader of the pesantren nurture their Islamic views and interpretations based on their Islamic organization’s interests and agenda. Furthermore, I argue that pesantren in Banten based on their political view has developed into two main categories among others the Islamist dan non Islamist pesantrens that in short or longer period will pave the way to the existence of more plural views and religious authority for Bantenese as well as Indonesian Muslims.

SOSIALISASI PEMAHAMAN PENDIDIKAN AKUNTANSI PADA SANTRIWATI DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL-KHIKMAH ROWOLAKU PEKALONGAN

Islamic boarding school is an Islamic religious educational institution that not only teaches religious education but also teaches general education. The development of the world education has changed from year to year along with the challenges in preparing quality human resources who are able to compete in the global era. In the social sciences, accounting is also experiencing development, which initially only focused on matters of a financial nature, now it has begun to penetrate into human behavior. Accounting practice in Indonesia in recent years has experienced very rapid development in various aspects of life, including education. However, the application of accounting in education has not developed rapidly. Unknowingly every human being must carry out accounting practices in their daily lives, although still in a simple way. With the socialization related to the understanding of accounting education, it is hoped that female students can apply accounting knowledge in their daily lives so that female students are able to manage their finances properly and correctly. The method of implementing this activity uses an educational and socialization approach related to accounting education. the majority of female students already know the meaning of accounting and simple examples of applying accounting in everyday life.

Формы религиозности студентов-мусульман Татарстана (по результатам опроса и интервью)

The article is devoted to the forms of religiosity of Muslim students of higher educational institutions of Tatarstan. The topic is relevant for the republic since in such a multi-confessional region as Tatarstan the religiosity of the population is important in achieving interfaith harmony and peace. The author adheres to a multidimensional approach to the study of religiosity, which in the most generalized form represents religiosity as a complex heterogeneous phenomenon comprising different definitive elements. In 2022, a survey and interviews were conducted among Muslim students in secular and religious higher educational institutions of Tatarstan. The study revealed the most common forms of religiosity among Muslim students of Tatarstan. A significant part of the respondents believe in Allah and feel the influence of God in their lives, turn to Him in different life situations. However, not all informants perform ritual duties (saying prayers, fasting, etc.). The daily life of the students interviewed is not always built according to Islamic norms and may include building family relationships, choosing a job, and buying a home. The study showed that the answers of students of secular and religious educational institutions vary greatly on some questions. For example, religious activity (participation in religious events) is demonstrated in various degrees only by the students of religious institutions. Among the students surveyed, there also are superstitious people who believe in omens, signs, horoscopes, etc.
