Research and Practice on the Cultivation Mode of Innovative Practical Ability of Computer Science and Technology Undergraduates through RoboMaster Match as a Carrier

In the current higher education system, the cultivation of undergraduate students' innovation ability has become the focus of teaching reform. This study aims to explore the undergraduate innovation ability cultivation mode with RoboMaster Mecha Master Match as the carrier, and verify its effectiveness in practice. Through literature review and case analysis, this paper constructs an innovative teaching mode that combines theoretical learning and practical operation, which emphasizes the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge, teamwork and the cultivation of problem-solving ability, and cultivates comprehensive talents with innovative ability and innovative spirit.

Reform of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ability Cultivation System for Undergraduates in the Context of Economic Transformation and New Engineering Disciplines

Abstract Science and technology and new industries are constantly changing, providing a more precise direction for innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities. To reform the cultivation system of college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship ability, this paper proposes the cluster core academic competence model (KAI) to analyze the learning process and the degree of knowledge absorption of college students engaged in bi-innovation education. The Group Learning Generation Network (GLGN) is constructed, and the GCN is used to update the GLGN, which can clearly show the practice and degree of difficulty of knowledge implementation, and focus on cultivating college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship ability. After the experimental research in this paper, the national innovation and entrepreneurship policy and innovation and entrepreneurship courses significantly correlate with the cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship ability of college students. The Pearson correlation coefficient is 0.233 and 0.183 respectively, and the significance P-value is less than 0.01. From the aspect of the results of the innovation and entrepreneurship ability cultivation, the score of the college students’ participation in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions has risen to 0.098 after the reform, which shows that the reformed training system pays more attention to the education of innovation and entrepreneurship practice of college students.

The Operation Strategy for the Training Project of Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Guided by the Creator Training Course

In order to cultivate the innovative engineers, the Training Project of Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship, shorted as TPUIE, was presented from 2007. Also, in the Emerging Engineering Education, the TPUIE is one of most important methods to training the creativity, the engineering thinking and others abilities for the future works. Besides University-Enterprise cooperation, the Scientific and technological research projects can effectively promote the students to participate TPUIE. Unfortunately, the freshman can not realize what the difference between the high school education and the university education, so as they usually abandoned the TPUIE when there would be a little difficult or misunderstanding the knowledge in engineering. An Operation Strategy of TPUIE guided by the creator training course was presented to make sure that most freshmen can avoid the falling in their mind caused by the heavy responsibility of TPUIE in the first server months in campus. The strategy could promote the students to transform their interests into practice through the creator training course with some simple but visible tasks. Cases show that introduced by the creator tasks step by step, students’ innovative thinking and practical ability could be effectively improved, as well as the success rate of TPUIE were higher.

Artefacts as boundary objects for concept development: a configurational approach

PurposeThis study aims to investigate how configurations of boundary objects (BOs) support innovation teams in developing innovative product concepts. Specifically, it explores the effectiveness of different artefact configurations in facilitating collaboration and bridging knowledge boundaries during the concept development process.Design/methodology/approachThe research is based on data from ten undergraduate innovation teams working with an industry partner in a creative industry. Six categories of BOs are identified, which serve as tools for collaboration. The study applies fsQCA (fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis) to analyse the configurations employed by the teams to bridge knowledge boundaries and support the development of innovative product concepts.FindingsThe findings of the study reveal two distinct groups of configurations: product envisioning and product design. The configurations within the “product envisioning” group support the activities of visioning and pivoting, enabling teams to innovate the product concept by altering the product vision. On the other hand, the configurations within the “product design” group facilitate experimenting, modelling and prototyping, allowing teams to design the attributes of the innovative product concept while maintaining the product vision.Originality/valueThis research contributes to the field of innovation by providing insights into the role of BOs and their configurations in supporting innovation teams during concept development. The results suggest that configurations of “product envisioning” support bridging semantic knowledge boundaries, while configurations within “product design” bridge pragmatic knowledge boundaries. This understanding contributes to the broader field of knowledge integration and innovation in design contexts.

Research on Industry-Education Integration Training of Practical Innovation Talents in "New Engineering" — A Case Study of Materials Science and Engineering Major

With the continuous optimization and upgrading of the national economic structure, the traditional talent training model in universities is difficult to meet the increasing demand for innovative and practical talents in "new engineering" year by year, and the transformation of talent training mode has important research significance for all universities. This paper, in conjunction with the current situation of training innovation and practical abilities of "new engineering" undergraduates, takes the Materials Science and Engineering major at Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) as an example to explore a new model of industry-education integration training guided by industrial demand. It establishes an integrated training system that combines undergraduate innovation projects, academic tutorial system, and graduation design, and designs production practice courses oriented by personalized development needs. It proposes a joint training mechanism for practical talents combined by school-enterprise joint laboratories and enterprise practice bases, providing a new idea for the training of innovative and practical talents in "new engineering".

Problems and Improvement Measures of the Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program

In the Party's 20 National Congress reports, "innovation" appeared 55 times, covering politics, economy, culture, education and other aspects. The fifth part, "Implementing the strategy of rejuvenating the Country through science and Education and strengthening the talent support for modernization", mentions innovation for 21 times. It can be said that "innovation" has become the main melody and the strongest sound of today's times. College students' innovation and entrepreneurship training program is an important carrier to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities. In this paper, taking Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages as an example, the investigation and analysis found that there are some problems in the implementation of college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training plan, such as students' innovation and entrepreneurship awareness to be improved, project innovation to be enhanced, the professionalism of the tutor team to be improved, and the achievement evaluation system to be improved. In response to these problems, the author proposed corresponding suggestions and countermeasures. To constantly improve the "Big innovation" plan management system, improve the quality of the project.

Dark matter (DM) direct detection experiments have been setting strong limits on the DM–nucleon scattering cross section at the DM mass above a few GeV, but leave large parameter spaces unexplored in the low mass region. DM is likely to be scattered and boosted by relativistic cosmic rays in the expanding universe if it can generate nuclear recoils in direct detection experiments to offer observable signals. Since low energy threshold detectors using Germanium have provided good constraints on ordinary halo GeV-scale DM, it is necessary to re-analyze 102.8 kg day data in the CDEX-10 experiment assuming that DM is boosted by cosmic rays. For the DM mass range 1 keV 1 MeV and the effective distance within 1 kpc, we reach an almost flat floor limit at cm2 for the spin-independent DM–nucleon scattering cross section, at a 90% confidence level. The CDEX-10 result is able to close the gap unambiguously in the parameter space between the MiniBooNE and XENON1T constraints, which were partially hindered by the Earth attenuation effect. We also quantitatively calculate the expected neutrino floor on searching for CRBDM in future direct detection experiments using Germanium.

By affecting the physico-chemical properties of water and sediment, the hydrodynamic variation can affect the survival, growth and distribution of submerged macrophytes. After long-term adaptive evolution, the submerged macrophytes have evolved a series of strategies to overcome the negative effects of hydrodynamic variation to a certain extent. However, at present, the degree of hydrological variation has far exceeded the adaptive capacity of the submerged macrophytes, and the catastrophic loss of submerged macrophytes has become a common phenomenon all over the world. Understanding the adaptive process of submerged macrophytes to hydrodynamic variation is the scientific basis for us to reveal the degradation mechanisms of submerged macrophytes and to design guidelines for their protection and restoration in the future. In this study, the cause of hydrodynamic variation in freshwater lakes, its consequences on submerged macrophytes, and the underlying mechanisms for submerged macrophytes to acclimate to the stress were summarized, including reproductive, morphological, and physiological strategies. Based on the model- and data-driven strategy, a spectroscopy learning method that can extract the novel and hidden information from the line list databases has been applied to the R branch emission spectra of 3–0 band of the ground electronic state of 12C16O. The labeled line lists such as line intensities and Einstein A coefficients quoted in HITRAN2020 are collected to enhance the dataset. The quantified spectroscopy-learned spectroscopic constants is beneficial for improving the extrapolative accuracy beyond the measurements. Explicit comparisons are made for line positions, line intensities, Einstein A coefficients, which demonstrate that the model- and data-driven spectroscopy learning approach is a promising and an easy-to-implement strategy.

Integration of innovation & entrepreneurship concept with the teaching practice of biochemistry experiment

Biochemistry experiment is an experimental module associated with biochemistry curriculum. In the context of deepening the education reform on innovation & entrepreneurship, integrating the concept of innovation & entrepreneurship with the experimental course is an effective way for the biology discipline to foster professional talents with strong engineering ability and innovation & entrepreneurship ability. Outcome-based education (OBE) is a new concept for education. Guided by this concept, we encouraged students to propose and take part in research projects, redesigned the time frame for research project-based experiment teaching, and implemented a multi-dimensional evaluation system along the entire teaching process. Furthermore, we integrated the concept of innovation & entrepreneurship for training undergraduates during the teaching process of biochemistry experiment. These measures not only boosted the students' interest in research and innovation, but also guided the teachers to participate in the entire process, which helped improving the engineering ability and innovation & entrepreneurship ability of the students.

Equitably Linking Integrative Learning and Students' Innovation Capacities.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between two recent currents in postsecondary education – integrative learning and undergraduate innovation. We located the rationale for this study in postsecondary educational practices and policies (e.g., inclusive makerspaces, transdisciplinary courses) which have theorized the connection between these two areas yet have not scrutinized this relationship through robust quantitative study. Drawing on a sample of 5,503 undergraduate students attending one of four Universities in the United States, we employed structural equation modeling (SEM) to test the uniqueness of measured constructs as well as examined associations between variables and overall fit in a structural setting. Results indicated the appropriateness of measuring each construct distinctively and provided evidence of a robust relationship between integrative learning and innovation intentions. Additionally, we identified consistent major-specific and identity-based patterns of realizing effects on innovation in association with integrative learning. The study concludes with discussion of findings and implications for educators and academic leaders working to equitably support efforts across these areas.

We design a four-band terahertz metamaterial absorber that relied on the block Dirac semi-metal (BDS). It is composed of a Dirac material layer, a gold reflecting layer, and a photonic crystal slab (PCS) medium layer. This structure achieved perfect absorption of over 97% at 4.06 THz, 6.15 THz, and 8.16 THz. The high absorption can be explained by the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). And this conclusion can be proved by the detailed design of the surface structure. Moreover, the resonant frequency of the device can be dynamically tuned by changing the Fermi energy of the BDS. Due to the advantages such as high absorption, adjustable resonance, and anti-interference of incident angle and polarization mode, the Dirac semi-metal perfect absorber (DSPA) has great potential value in fields such as biochemical sensing, information communication, and nondestructive detection.

A Proposed Business Model for Customized Shared Farms in the Chinese Market Based on a National Undergraduate: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program

With the deepening of reform and opening-up, the economy of China has developed rapidly. In recent years, shared farms have been one of the popular forms for the Chinese government to help the rural areas to shake off poverty. However, despite of many achievements, the business model of traditional shared farms cannot satisfy the growing market demands. Based on the research conducted under a national undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship program, this paper starts with an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of traditional shared farms and then proposes a business model that provides customized products and services. The feasibility of the proposed business model is discussed by using the IDIC model and some suggestions are put forth for the optimization of the business model for customized shared farms.

Feasibility of oral health evaluation by intraoral digital photography: a pilot study.

ObjectivesThis study investigated the accuracy and duration of intraoral digital photograph examination (IDPE) for evaluating oral health status and explored the feasibility of remote oral health assessment.MethodsThirty-one healthy college students underwent evaluations of oral health status via clinical examination (CE) combined with panoramic X-ray assessment at baseline, followed by IDPE 1 month later using photos taken at baseline. Methods for evaluation of gingival health included the Modified Gingival Index (MGI) and Plaque Index (PI). Examinations of caries status included the decayed, missing, and filled teeth and surfaces indexes (DMFT and DMFS indexes, respectively). The duration of each evaluation was also recorded.ResultsThere were significant differences in MGI and PI between CE and IDPE. There were no significant differences in DMFT and DMFS indexes between CE and IDPE, and there were positive correlations between CE and IDPE for each of the two indexes (DMFT index: r=0.56; DMFS index: r=0.69). The IDPE duration was shorter than the CE duration.ConclusionsThe feasibility of caries status assessment via IDPE is promising. The Application of Big Data Analysis in the Research of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education for Humanities College Students

The advent of the Internet+ era puts forward new requirements for innovation and entrepreneurship education for undergraduates in the humanities. Based on the analysis of big data, this article first elaborates the current research status of innovation and entrepreneurship education in the humanities, and the characteristics that innovation and entrepreneurship talents should possess. Finally, aiming at the unique difficulties and problems faced by the undergraduates of humanities in colleges and universities, this paper gives suggestions and strategies to promote their healthy development.
