SMP Negeri 1 Anjatan is a junior high school located in Anjatan Indramayu Regency. To make it easier for Library Officers to manage libraries, a library information system is needed. the Information System created includes: attendance visits, management of borrowing and returning books, and the process of managing book collections.An information system is a collection of elements interconnected with each other that form a single whole for integrating data, processing and storing and distributing information. Library Information System is a system that exists in an organization that meets the needs of daily data processing, supporting activities in data storage, and providing certain outside parties with the necessary reports. The method used in the development of this library information system using SDLC with RAD model. Stages in the RAD method are requirement planning, user design, constructions, and cutover. Making this information system using PHP Programming Language, HTML, CSS. Using Visual Studio Code as note editor, in the implementation of data base using local server from MySQL.Questionnaires that will be used for prototype testers at the user design stage and the results of contructions are SUS (System Usability Scale) and blackbox testing. Where SUS to measure the Usability of Information Systems and use Black box testing to measure functional suitability.The results of SUS prototype testing included in the good category and acceptability ranges included in the acceptable category. The results of black box testing, all questions on the questionnaire were successful, which means the score of the black box testing is 100%. Based on testing, the Library Information System can be said to be feasible to use.

Narrating the sociotechnical mess

Abstract This article investigates how the core features of narratives and the logic of storytelling are manifested in stories told by the developers and users of an information system and how they may adversely affect their perceptions of the ongoing implementation process. Information systems and the way they operate create a negative cycle where primarily problems possess tellability. We identify a negative masterplot dominating the narratives surrounding information system projects. We examine an ongoing public sector healthcare information system project by analysing both the written narratives of frustrated health and social care professionals on a social media channel and the oral narratives told by employees of the project organisation. These stories reveal a narrative struggle and various strategies, such as positioning, used in sense-making. We suggest that a better understanding of how narratives function could help disentangle the sociotechnical issues involving information system developers and users.

Impact of encounters on patient app use: results of a tethered mobile personal health record usage pattern analysis.

The adoption of tethered mobile personal health records provides not only medical information to patients but also various convenience functions related to hospital use, thereby increasing accessibility to healthcare services and promoting patient engagement. We analyse the tethered mobile personal health records app's usage logs to determine how it can contribute to improving medical service accessibility and patient engagement. Log data, that comprised menu type, log time, and date, were collected from the mobile personal health records app of a tertiary referral hospital. Clinical information, including patients' demographics and visit type, was collected from the clinical research warehouse system. The usage log was analysed in terms of the type of visit, service function, and time period. Outpatients accounted for 34% of the total app usage and was the most app-accessed visit type. The most utilized menu functions were lab test and visit schedule for visits or non-visits. For Inpatient and Health check-ups, menu usage patterns showed a focus on lab test results. While investigations and other menu usage showed double peaks in the morning and afternoon, peak usage of lab test results correlated with inpatient blood sampling times, which was around 9 am. App menus to access health information, particularly blood tests, emerged as the most accessed menu. Hence, when compared with blood sampling times and hospital information system usage patterns, encounters occurring in the hospital majorly impacted patient app use. For improved patient engagement, improving lab test function should be the priority.

School information systems are one of the most important needs in educational institutions. Building a school information system is the right step to help provide more relevant information and also in processing data in schools into useful information. However, there are some schools that have not implemented it such as SD Negeri 4 Kerta, In providing conventional information that is done manually where all data or documents are stored in hardcopy form, as well as in processing data such as school profile information, academic and school finances. The purpose of this study is to determine the design of the school information system user interface to be a solution to these problems. This research uses the Design Thinking method implemented to design a website-based school information system for SD Negeri 4 Kerta. The user interface design of the school information system is built in the form of a prototype using the figma application. This study used interview methods and literature studies in collecting data and related information. And the result of designing the user interface of the SD Negeri 4 Kerta school information system is to design a website to provide school information and to process school data and process the financial section.

A critical realist approach to agent-based modeling: Unlocking prediction in non-positivist paradigms

Information systems (IS) scholarship and practice aim to predict phenomena and outcomes of IS use. These phenomena of IS use are typically set in multi-leveled, dynamic, and complex contexts that lend explanation to the non-positivist tradition in IS research. However, limited methodological options exist to make predictions. In this research, we propose stratified agent-based modeling, a step-by-step approach that enables prediction in non-positivist paradigms. Drawing upon the critical realist philosophy of science, which suggests ontological stratification and assumes open systems, we adopt a retroduction-based explanation formation and agent-based modeling to simulate different potential states of a complex system. The critical step in combining critical realism with agent-based modeling involves identifying and codifying the underlying generative mechanisms (i.e., causal powers) into various components of the agent-based model. We propose four steps toward prediction under the critical realist paradigm: (1) capturing the phenomenon, (2) identifying the generative mechanism, (3) building the agent-based model, and (4) simulating states of the system. We present an exemplar of our proposed approach that investigates the effectiveness of strategies to combat malicious content propagation in social networks.

The design of a model for providing information at local museums through mobile devices with Beacon technology

This research aimed 1) to study the information and information system of the museum, 2) to create a system for providing information within the museum via mobile applications, and 3) to assess the satisfaction of the users of information system within the museum via mobile devices by using Beacon technology. First, the data were collected from related documents and interview with experts, and the obtained data were then used for the design of a system and an application called MUCON which is Beacon technology for providing information within the museum. The designed information system and MUCON application were then tested and assessed by visitors at Ja Thawee Folk Museum in Thailand in terms of their satisfaction towards the performance of the information system and mobile application design, including additional comments and feedback by using questionnaire. The results showed that the system for providing information within the museum via mobile applications and MUCON application were successfully designed and created. Moreover, the satisfaction with the performance of the information system and mobile application design was also assessed and proved that they were suitable for use. Limitations of the study are discussed, and recommendations for further research are also made.

Perceived effects of digitalization on social work in Finland: A network analysis approach

Drawing on a socio-technical approach, we examined Finnish social welfare professionals’ (n = 990) perceptions of the effects of digitalization on their work and how these are associated with factors related to work and client information system usage using mixed graphical modelling. Overall, perceptions were predominantly positive. Digitally replaced services were most common in the non-public sector. Higher client information system ratings were associated with perceptions of more active client roles, supportive decision support systems and faster service processes. The relationship between various factors and perceived effects of digitalization appears complex and should be considered during the digital transformation of social work.

Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Information System User Experience: A Comprehensive Approach to Cross-cultural Adaptation in Educational Management of International Students

This study analyses how AI integration, Big Data, information system quality, and cultural variables affect foreign student education and cross-cultural adaption. We discover patterns and connections in technological and cultural aspects affecting educational effectiveness using Explainable AI (XAI) and machine learning. The study found that big data, AI integration, and high-quality information systems increase international student user experience. Collectivism may prefer collaboration, whereas individualism may prefer tailored AI learning. Moderation shows that student culture strongly impacts technological interventions, highlighting the need for culturally suitable instructional technology. AI integration, big data use, and high-quality information systems boost user experience and academic performance more in China than in Pakistan. To help international students succeed, schools must use technology and culturally sensitive management. Schools must use technology with student culture in mind. Create technologically advanced and culturally flexible educational management solutions for all pupils. This study found that AI integration, big data, information system quality, and culture affect international students' education and performance. The research helps schools choose and manage technology to help foreign students succeed.

Mentoring Professionals to Use Digital Tools in Home Care.

Nurses use electronic information systems daily, and digital devices have been developed to enable patient to live at home as long as possible. This study aimed to test reverse mentoring for professionals working with digital tools in home care. An electronic survey was sent twice to nurses to collect their opinions about the tools they use. Based on the results from the first survey (N=184), the mentoring content focused on the use of information systems and digital tools. Respondents' experiences as information system users were more abundant than their experiences as digital tool users. Tools supporting independent living were seldom used, but safety devices and alarm monitoring were used daily. The mentoring meetings induced changes and encouraged participants to acquire skills related to the use of digital tools and to evaluate their work critically.

PurposeThe overarching goal of the study was to formulate an integrated research model to empirically demonstrate the complex interplay between heuristics, project characteristics, information system usage quality, empathy, and mindfulness in predicting users'/donors' donation behaviour and well-being in the context of donation-based crowdfunding (DBC) mobile apps.Design/methodology/approachThe data were collected from 786 respondents and analysed using the multi-stage SEM-ANN-NCA (Structural equation modelling-artificial neural network-necessary condition analysis) method.FindingsIncreased perceived aesthetics, narrative structure, self-referencing, project popularity, project content quality, and initiator reputation would foster empathy. Empathy and mindfulness lead to donation behaviour, and, ultimately emotional well-being.Originality/valueThis study offers a clear framework by ranking the key contextual predictors and assessing the model’s necessity logic to facilitate crowdfunders' donation behaviour and well-being on DBC platforms. This research provides practical insights for bank marketers and further aids financial service providers in formulating an optimal DBC mobile app strategy.

Comparing experts’ and users’ perspectives on the use of password workarounds and the risk of data breaches

Purpose The increased use of Information Systems (IS) as a working tool for employees increases the number of accounts and passwords required. Despite being more aware of password entropy, users still often participate in deviant password behaviors, known as “password workarounds” or “shadow security.” These deviant password behaviors can put individuals and organizations at risk, resulting in a data breach. This paper aims to engage IS users and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), focused on designing, developing and empirically validating the Password Workaround Cybersecurity Risk Taxonomy (PaWoCyRiT) – a 2x2 taxonomy constructed by aggregated scores of perceived cybersecurity risks from Password Workarounds (PWWAs) techniques and their usage frequency. Design/methodology/approach This research study was a developmental design conducted in three phases using qualitative and quantitative methods: (1) A set of 10 PWWAs that were identified from the literature were validated by SMEs along with their perspectives on the PWWAs usage and risk for data breach; (2) A pilot study was conducted to ensure reliability and validity and identify if any measurement issues would have hindered the results and (3) The main study data collection was conducted with a large group of IS users, where also they reported on coworkers' engagement frequencies related to the PWWAs. Findings The results indicate that statistically significant differences were found between SMEs and IS users in their aggregated perceptions of risks of the PWWAs in causing a data breach, with IS users perceiving higher risks. Engagement patterns varied between the two groups, as well as factors like years of IS experience, gender and job level had statistically significant differences among groups. Practical implications The PaWoCyRiT taxonomy that the we have developed and empirically validated is a handy tool for organizational cyber risk officers. The taxonomy provides organizations with a quantifiable means to assess and ultimately mitigate cybersecurity risks. Social implications Passwords have been used for a long time to grant controlled access to classified spaces, electronics, networks and more. However, the dramatic increase in user accounts over the past few decades has exposed the realization that technological measures alone cannot ensure a high level of IS security; this leaves the end-users holding a critical role in protecting their organization and personal information. Thus, the taxonomy that the authors have developed and empirically validated provides broader implications for society, as it assists organizations in all industries with the ability to mitigate the risks of data breaches that can result from PWWAs. Originality/value The taxonomy the we have developed and validated, the PaWoCyRiT, provides organizations with insights into password-related risks and behaviors that may lead to data breaches.

Designing Interfaces of Information System 'smart Household' Using the Persona Method

The article is dedicated to analyzing the processes of developing interfaces for the ‘Smart Home’ information system using the persona method. The integration of ‘smart’ technologies into the everyday environment of modern society plays a crucial role. However, the successful implementation of the information technology concept of ‘Smart Home’ significantly depends on the efficiency and convenience of interfaces that facilitate interaction between the comprehensive information system and various user groups. The authors present a methodology for developing a set of interfaces for the ‘Smart Home’ information system using the persona method, which enables the creation of interfaces that best meet the needs and expectations of different user groups. The paper examines the processes of analyzing the target audience, determining their needs, and systematically integrating data at all stages of developing relevant interfaces. This article can serve as a valuable source of original experience and new knowledge for IT professionals, interface designers, and developers of various ‘smart’ systems aiming to create efficient and personalized interfaces tailored to the specific needs, requests, and preferences of individuals for their convenient daily use.

Construction of explanations at the local level of decision-making process representation for internal users of the intelligent system

The subject of study in the article is the processes of constructing explanations for the obtained results and the sequence of decision-making actions in an intelligent information system. The goal is to develop an approach to constructing explanations at the local level of representation of the decision-making process of an intelligent system based on building temporal and causal dependencies, which creates conditions for identifying "bottlenecks" of this process when representing the intelligent system as a "gray" box. Tasks: development of an explanation model at the local level of representation for internal users of an intelligent system; development of a method for constructing explanations at the local level of representation of the decision-making process of an intelligent system. The approaches used are: methods of constructing explanations, approaches to constructing temporal knowledge. Conclusions. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is as follows. An explanation model at the local level of representation of the decision-making process for internal users of an intelligent information system has been developed. The model uses a combination of temporal dependencies that determine the linear sequence of process actions and causal rules-constraints that specify mandatory actions performed for all variants of the decision-making process. The proposed model creates conditions for identifying actions that limit the normal execution of the decision-making process and lead to results that do not meet the requirements of external users. A method for constructing explanations at the local level of representation of the decision-making process of an intelligent system has been developed. The method involves identifying temporal dependencies between pairs of consecutive states of the current decision-making process, selecting temporal dependencies that are performed for all variants of the decision-making process, and forming causal dependencies based on them. Using the method makes it possible to present decision-making constraints as an explanation, which creates conditions for identifying bottlenecks in the sequence of actions for obtaining a result in an intelligent system.

The Effect of Health Information Technology Assets on the Sustainability of Health Management Information Systems Usage Moderated by Strategy in Kendari City

Background:Health policies in Indonesia facilitate public access to healthcare information in efforts to improve public health. These policies rely on the support of electronic healthcare information systems to provide health data and information. However, the usage of these systems faces various challenges that affect their sustainability. Objective:To determine the effect of healthcare information technology assets on the sustainability of healthcare management information systems and the role of healthcare information technology strategies as a moderating variable. Methods:This is a quantitative and explanatory research study. The sample consisted of 350 respondents, with a significance level of 0.05. Latent variables included the sustainability of healthcare management information system usage, healthcare information technology assets, and information system strategies, which also served as an intervening variable. Results:The direct effect test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. Thus, healthcare information technology assets and healthcare information technology strategies have a positive and significant effect on the sustainability of healthcare management information system usage. The indirect effect test yielded a p-value of 0.003 (<0.05), also leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. These results indicate that the healthcare information technology strategies variable moderates the effect of healthcare information technology assets on the sustainability of healthcare management information system usage. Conclusion:Healthcare information technology strategies strengthen the effect of healthcare information technology assets on the sustainability of healthcare management information system usage. Evaluation of User Satisfaction of IBI Library Application Using PIECES Model

The writing of this article discusses the users and use of the IBI library application using the pieces model. By using pieces analysis as a tool to analyze a system in detail and thoroughly which will get special attention, so that the advantages and disadvantages of the system can be known to later be used as a reference for the company's further progress. PIECES is a best learning practice and development initiative that provides an approach to understanding and improving care for individuals with complex physical and cognitive needs and behavior change. PIECES enables the continuous improvement of shared care through human resource development. In the PIECES framework there are six components that can be used in evaluating the satisfaction of information system users, namely Performance (Reliability), Information, Economy, Control (control), Efficiency and Service. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method which aims to describe, summarize, various conditions, various situations or variables that arise in the community which is the object of research. The population and samples in this study were users of the IBI library application with a total of 15 respondents and the sampling technique in this study using random sampling. To get the results of the evaluation of the system, data measurement is needed. In this study, the data measurement method used a Likert scale with the criteria SS (Strongly agree) with a score of 4, S (Agree) with a score of 3, TS (Disagree) with a score of 2 and STS (Strongly disagree) with a score of 1. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the IBI library application to determine user satisfaction with the IBI library application.

This study aims to examine the effect competency, information quality and perceived usefulness on satisfaction accounting information system users at PT. TASPEN Persero Branch Office Denpasar. Data collection techniques used in this study using questionnaires and direct interviews. The type of data used is quantitative data with primary data sources. In this research approach used is associative quantitative approach. That is, associative research or quantitative is research that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables. The population in this study were 42 respondents. The method of determining the sample using a purposive sampling technique with criteria employees who use the Accounting Information System and the number of samples obtained as many as 37 people. The data analysis technique used is test validity, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis test, test model feasibility (f test), hypothesis test (t test), and test the coefficient of determination. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that: 1) Competence has an effect positive effect on user satisfaction of the PT.TASPEN Accounting Information System Persero with a significant value of 0.011. 2) The quality of information has a positive effect on the satisfaction of users of the Accounting Information System of PT. TASPEN Pesero with a significant value of 0.034. 3) Perceived usefulness has a positive effect on PT.TASPEN Persero Accounting Information System user satisfaction with value significant 0.017

The Influence of System Quality, Information Quality, Perceived Usefulness, User Competency, And Employee Performance on User Satisfaction of Accounting Information Systems at the Medan City Government

User satisfaction as an indicator of the success of the information system becomes very important if the information system is mandatory. This study aims to determine the effect of system quality, quality of information, perceived usefulness, user competency, and employee performance on the satisfaction of accounting information system users in the Medan City Government. This type of research is quantitative. Data sources were obtained by distributing questionnaires to employees in Medan City Government. In this study, the saturated sample was all employees who became information systems users in Medan Pemko, totaling 91 people. This study uses the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique through SmartPLS software. The results of this study indicate that partially, the quality of the system, quality of information, perceived usefulness, user competency, and employee performance have a positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of accounting information system users. Simultaneously, the system, quality of information, perceived usefulness, user competency, and employee performance influence 94.8% in predicting the satisfaction variables of accounting information systems. The remaining 5.2% are influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Evaluation of The Implementation of The Laboratory Information System Using the Hot Fit Method in Maxima Clinical Laboratory

Evaluation of information systems in the health domain goes beyond exclusively technological considerations but also includes evaluation of human and organizational dimensions. The information system evaluation model frequently health used is called HOT-Fit (Human Organization Technology-Fit). This model considers the complex interactions between human, organizational, and technological elements in the context of health information systems. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Laboratory Information System using the HOT Fit method at the Maxima Clinical Laboratory. The research method used is quantitative with a cross-sectional research design using a survey approach. Research subjects include laboratory managers, laboratory staff, information system users, and patients. Primary data was collected through questionnaires and interviews, while secondary data was obtained from related documents. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and Partial Least Square ( PLS ). The research results show that there is a significant influence between system quality (p-value = 0.041), information quality (p-value = 0.003), service quality (p-value = 0.003), and user satisfaction (p-value = 0.041). Research findings can be used as evaluation and improvement material for laboratory managers to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of health services by optimizing the use of information systems.
