The article is devoted to the study of the theoretical and methodological provisions of the assessment of the directed strategy for ensuring the innovative development of the service sector. The methodological basis of the research was the theory of innovation, strategic management and the position of management of innovative development. In the process of scientific research, general scientific and special methods were used: analytical, analysis and synthesis, abstract-logical, abstraction, graphic. The information base was made up of materials from a survey of service sector entrepreneurs conducted from June to September 2023, as well as other information and analytical materials. An algorithm for evaluating the effectiveness of the development and formation of a directed strategy to ensure the innovative development of the service sector is proposed. A methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of innovative development of the studied area based on an integral coefficient is presented. The results of the study contribute to an understanding of the methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of innovative development of the service sector.
