Unraveling the Human Characters Represented in Dutch Water Proverbs: A Cultural Linguistic Perspective

This article investigates the human character represented in Dutch proverbs related to water. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a content analysis design. Data were collected from Dutch proverb dictionaries published in the Netherlands and Dutch-Indonesian dictionaries published in Indonesia. The data were analyzed using cultural linguistic theory with associative-conceptual analysis techniques. The research results showed that the proverb of water in the Dutch language represents human characters which are divided into positive and negative categories. The positive characters found describe people who are optimistic, quiet, willing to compromise, brave, and honest which are the wisdom found in Dutch society. The proverbs of water also reveal negative human characters such as people who like to insinuate, who are exaggerative, who like to look for other people’s mistakes, and who seek opportunities from the suffering of others. These human characters are the view of the Dutch in understanding the world and are used as a reflection of life with social goals as advice, morals, and teaching.

Characteristics of Adolescent Diversity in Islamic Perspective

This study aims to find out in Islam, there is no separate discipline from Islamic ethics. As a business that is identical with religious teachings, religious characters in Islam are unique and different from characters outside of Islam. These differences include an emphasis on eternal religious principles, rules and laws in strengthening morality, differences in understanding of the truth, and an emphasis on reward in the afterlife as a motivation for moral behavior. The basis of character formation is good or bad values. Good values ??are symbolized by the value of Angels and bad values ??are symbolized by the value of Satan. Human character is the result of attraction between good values ??in the form of positive energy and bad values ??in the form of negative energy. research originating from books, scientific journals, literatures and other publications that are worthy of being used as sources for research to be studied by the author, by describing and describing the data through several expert opinions.

Deep Learning-Based Recognition and Visualization of Human Motion Behavior

Human behavior recognition refers to the classification task of identifying the specific actions of human characters based on the characteristics of human body and the completed actions through a specific algorithm. It has a wide range of applications in intelligent surveillance, video retrieval and so on. The main challenge in this direction is to accurately extract the semantic information of each behavior to describe its dynamic changes in space and time. Therefore, this article introduces the latest research progress in the field of human behavior recognition. Through deep learning techniques, particularly convolutional neural networks and recurrent neural networks, human movements in video data can be effectively identified. However, deep learning models lack interpretability, which can be a challenge in practical applications. The researchers also introduce the application of traditional methods and deep learning-based methods to human behavior recognition, and explore the advantages of deep learning models in processing multi-time scale information and introducing attention mechanisms. Finally, the paper summarizes the potential of deep learning technology combined with multimodal data in behavioral analysis, and provides prospects for applications in smart fitness, health care and other fields.

DanceAnyWay: Synthesizing Beat-Guided 3D Dances with Randomized Temporal Contrastive Learning

We present DanceAnyWay, a generative learning method to synthesize beat-guided dances of 3D human characters synchronized with music. Our method learns to disentangle the dance movements at the beat frames from the dance movements at all the remaining frames by operating at two hierarchical levels. At the coarser "beat" level, it encodes the rhythm, pitch, and melody information of the input music via dedicated feature representations only at the beat frames. It leverages them to synthesize the beat poses of the target dances using a sequence-to-sequence learning framework. At the finer "repletion" level, our method encodes similar rhythm, pitch, and melody information from all the frames of the input music via dedicated feature representations. It generates the full dance sequences by combining the synthesized beat and repletion poses and enforcing plausibility through an adversarial learning framework. Our training paradigm also enforces fine-grained diversity in the synthesized dances through a randomized temporal contrastive loss, which ensures different segments of the dance sequences have different movements and avoids motion freezing or collapsing to repetitive movements. We evaluate the performance of our approach through extensive experiments on the benchmark AIST++ dataset and observe improvements of about 7%-12% in motion quality metrics and 1.5%-4% in motion diversity metrics over the current baselines, respectively. We also conducted a user study to evaluate the visual quality of our synthesized dances. We noted that, on average, the samples generated by our method were about 9-48% more preferred by the participants and had a 4-27% better five-point Likert-scale score over the best available current baseline in terms of motion quality and synchronization. Expert Consensus on Educational Concepts according to Hamka and its Alignment with Practices in Malaysia

Education is crucial in shaping human character and behavior. Many scholars, including Hamka, a renowned scholar in Indonesia, have educational views. This article aims to identify elements in the concept of education according to Hamka, to identify the position of elements in the domain of educational concepts based on Hamka's view, and to elucidate educational practices in Malaysia through the lens of Hamka's educational concepts. This study that employs the fuzzy Delphi method has gained approval from 22 experts in the field of education, in both public and private sectors including university lecturers. Data analysis results showed that the experts accepted all these elements through the expert consensus value above 75%, the threshold value (d) ≤ 0.2, and the fuzzy score (A) ≥ α - cut value = 0.5. This study has significant implications for educators and students, drawing upon Malaysia's educational system to drive educational transformation by incorporating Hamka's educational principles.

Humanistic orientation of sports coach training

One of the main problems of reforming the process of training sports coaches, who will be the key to the restoration of the state and the final democratic changes of our society, is the formation of certain democratic values and corresponding personal qualities in them. Therefore, it is relevant to consider the issue of approaches to the formation of personal qualities in future coaches during the educational process in higher education institutions.
 The purpose of the study: to determine pedagogical approaches to the formation of personal qualities in future trainers during the educational process in institutions of higher education.
 Research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical literature, observation.
 The article presents the results of the research, which was conducted on the basis of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute". 30 students of the 4th year took part in it. Analysis of the literature and observation of the preparation of the specialty 017 "Physical culture and sport" made it possible to identify the need to find humanistically oriented developments to improve the educational process of training sports coaches, who, according to modern requirements, should be creative, free, purposeful individuals. It has been proven that ensuring the humanistic orientation of coaching activity requires a certain level of development of personal qualities from the future coach, among which the main ones are humanity, mercy, benevolence, kindness, cordiality, sensitivity, faith, respect and love for the child, freedom-loving, humanism, empathy, responsibility, tolerance, honesty, dignity, justice, principles, cheerfulness. It has been established that the following teaching methods are effective for the formation of humanistic qualities: the method of creative dialogue, professional trainings, social role-playing and business games, "brainstorming", analysis of practical situations, the method of the open tribune. All these methods are active and allow forming the personal qualities of students with an emphasis on humanistic orientation.

Current Status and Improvement Strategies for Medical Humanities Education in Medical Schools

With the increasing demand for humanistic qualities in the healthcare industry, the importance of medical humanities education in cultivating high-quality medical talents is continuously growing. Medical humanities education not only involves the study of medical knowledge but more importantly, focuses on cultivating students' compassion, ethical perspectives, communication skills, and sense of social responsibility. However, there are some challenges faced by medical schools in implementing humanities education, such as insufficient educational resources, unreasonable course settings, and a lack of effective practical teaching. In view of this, this paper aims to analyze the current status of medical humanities education and propose improvement strategies based on this analysis, in order to promote the development of medical humanities education and better meet the comprehensive quality requirements of medical talents demanded by society.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETENCY MODEL FOR POLITICS AND LAW MAJORS: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

In terms of the clarification of the entrepreneurship competency, many entrepreneurship competency models have been built up focusing on what the specific competencies should be included and cultivated. Regarding the heterogeneity in the entrepreneurship competency models in different levels of teaching institutions and for different majors, an in-depth systematic literature review (SLR) of the entrepreneurship competency model from the year 2013 to 2023 was conducted with the purpose to identify the entrepreneurship competencies and construct a conceptual entrepreneurship competency model conform to the characteristics of vocational colleges of political science and law. Pre-defined review protocol with keywords searching strategy and the inclusion/exclusion criteria for the review are clearly established during the review of the databases. After carefully selection process，thirteen out of 893 articles that met the inclusion-exclusion measures were selected for this SLR. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses Statement (PRISMA) are demonstrated in the literature review reporting.This review serves the aim of presenting state of the study results, based on which a conceptual entrepreneurship competency model including aspects of knowledge, skill, thinking ability, personality and humanistic quality is identified and proposed for the politics and law majors.

The Transformers: The Conflicts between Humans and Cyborgs and the Resulting Discrimination

In this study, I want to analyze a movie that came from a series made by Hasbro, which is titled Transformers. In my study, I found out that the conflict between the human characters and the cyborg characters in the movie revolve around discrimination which is caused by the conflict itself. I would also like to explore what are the kinds of discrimination within the movie so that I can determine the cause of it and with the research, to learn about not to discriminate. For the analysis of my study, I will use the theory of Posthumanism by Cary Wolfe, which implies that the process of Posthuman transformation includes cyborg enhancements to improve the capabilities of human beings. I also found that from these so-called cyborg enhancements, comes discrimination from the people who think negatively towards the process of the enhancements, and thus discriminate against them.

“We are not selling soap here, you know”: Eight humanistic leadership qualities in sport

One of the main tasks for leaders is to make work purposeful for others. As the promotion of purpose through leadership is often context-specific and dependent on interpersonal relations, this study explores the relation between humanistic leadership, existential reflections, and the Jungian theory on ‘individuation’ among non-profit sports leaders in Europe. To that end, the research questions in this article are (a) what kind of existential learning sports leader veterans have gained through their positions, (b) how it has enabled them to grow as persons and leaders, and (c) how these experiences may be helpful to other leaders. To explore these questions, this study drew upon the principle of episodic inquiry and qualitative interviews with highly experienced Norwegian sports leaders ( N = 16). Through an episodically based recollection of life experiences, the study specifies eight qualities that enable today’s leaders in European sport to develop a humanistic leadership practice.

‘A Voice Amidst Mine Ears’: Silent Angels on the Early Modern Stage

AbstractUnlike the carts that crawled with angels in the medieval pageant plays, angels of the early modern stage were a rare breed. Eventually they disappeared from the stage altogether; they did not, however, disappear all at once in a puff of celestial smoke. This article reveals a pattern of suppression in the representation of angels on the English stage, ranging from Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus in 1592 until 1645, three years after the closure of the theatres in England. This study examines plays that present angels as characters who contribute to the play's action and denouement; however, by noting plays that include allegorical and decorative angels too, it comprises the most comprehensive survey of angels within plays from the period to date. Angels do not appear in many plays performed at the commercial playhouses of Elizabethan and Jacobean England; but when they do, it becomes clear that early modern playwrights gradually developed more calculated ways of staging these controversial creatures. As stage angels assume more silent roles, but before angels leave the stage entirely, human characters begin to communicate with these celestial figures differently and encounters with angels become a far more intimate experience.

Music teaching in vocational colleges is an important part of humanistic quality education. Guided by the concept of "curriculum ideology" in the new era, it is necessary to adhere to the infiltration of moral education elements into music teaching, deeply explore the educational value of music discipline, work together, and promote the comprehensive growth and development of college students. This article analyzes the current situation of integrating ideological and political education into music curriculum teaching in vocational colleges, proposes the requirements for music teaching under the framework of ideological and political education, and explores the practical research and application of innovative music curriculum teaching models from the perspective of "curriculum ideological and political education" in teaching practice.

Phraseological units with the semantics of "human character" in Russian and Chinese

The object of this research is the phraseological field with the semantics of "human character" as a fragment of the linguistic picture reflecting the peculiarities of perception of the world by native speakers of Russian and Chinese languages. The subject of the study is national peculiarities and common features of cultural components of the meaning of phraseological units about human character in the Russian and Chinese languages. In the first part of the article, the author gives a brief description of the theoretical understanding of phraseology as a phenomenon of Russian and Chinese linguistics, draws parallels between the concepts of phraseological unit and chengyu, comparing the key characteristics of the two terms and specifying the subject of research. Having defined the theoretical boundaries of the concept of phraseology, the author of the article systematizes the research material in accordance with the semantic features. The second part of the study is devoted to the comparative linguistic, cultural and semantic analysis of phraseological units expressing the "character of a person" in Russian and Chinese. Methods of classification, lexico-semantic analysis, linguistic and cultural analysis, comparison, generalization are used. The sample of the study includes 400 phraseological units about the character of a person (200 Russian and 200 Chinese), which were studied using quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis. The research contributes to the study of linguistic and cultural peculiarities of the perception of human character by representatives of Russian and Chinese cultures. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the application of comparative lexico-semantic and linguistic-cultural analysis to phraseological units with the meaning of "human character". Russian and Chinese studies of the quantitative correlation of phraseological and semantic groups in the phraseological field with the semantics of "human character" in Russian and Chinese, as well as the identification of cultural and historical features and patterns in the perception of human character traits in the Russian and Chinese language worldviews, revealed the presence of a universal and specific perception of human character. All this made it possible to establish a connection between different historical and social development, the influence of different religious and philosophical teachings in Russia and China, and the perception of human character reflected in the corresponding fragment of the phraseological field.

One of the ways to predict human characters is by using handwritten patterns. Graphologists have analyzed handwriting to determine a writer's personality by considering several parameters: writing slopes, spacing, inclination, and writing size. The results of the analysis have been widely used as a reference for psychologists to assess an individual's personality. Moreover, researchers have applied techniques to identify human characters using image processing techniques. However, different styles of handwriting require more research to develop. The process of separating objects from backgrounds needs a segmentation process. This research improves the quality of handwritten image segmentation using k-means clustering algorithms with the spatial filter. This spatial filter consisted of the median and mean filters. This research created various k values to gain the best segmentation results. The results showed that the median filter with a kernel size of 3×3 and the k value = 2 was the best segmentation result because the value of silhouette coefficient was the highest compared to the value of filter type and other k values which reach 99.22%.

Intersections and the becomings of disabled and queer subjectivities in Margarita with a Straw

This article aims to explore the affective capacities of the non-lesbian and lesbian, non-disabled and disabled, moving and fleeting bodies of Laila Kapoor, who suffers from cerebral palsy, in the 2014 Hindi film Margarita with a Straw. The study examines the ontology of Laila’s disabled and sexualized body that is entangled in an assemblage of relations of other human (characters Dhruv, Nima, Jared and Khanum) and non-human (architectural space, wheelchair, laptop, voice aggregator and music) bodies in the film. Drawing on the concept of assemblage, this article examines the affective flows, desire and becomings of disabled and queer bodies within Margarita with a Straw. It demonstrates how the discursive, material, post-human subjectivity of disabled and queer bodies in the film manifests the potential to destabilize the notion of what a body is by continuously negating the social disavowal of bodies through new emergent potentials, capacities and assemblages.

Analysis of Innovation in the Development of Chinese Language Education in Universities

This study highlights how character and peacebuilding education is manifested within Islamic pedagogy. Islamic pedagogy promotes three crucial aspects to nurture character development: spirit, mind, and body. Its curriculum seeks to cultivate specific areas with the potential to create a healthy generation imbued with critical self-consciousness and critical other consciousness. This study examines two concepts deeply rooted in Islamic education philosophy, namely 'Tazkiyaah' and 'Taaruf', as critical elements shaping individual personality and broad cross-cultural relations. Islamic pedagogy is reenacting human character to contribute to designing a world that fits everyone, regardless of their differences. Islamic pedagogy is a teaching philosophy that focuses on the spirit, mind, body, and space. Spatial awareness is also needed for human beings; 'Taaruf' is the keyword in shaping this type of learning.
