ANALISIS STRATEGI DALAM PENGIMPLEMENTASIAN ECOTOURISM DI DESA WISATA HIJAU BILEBANTE, LOMBOK TENGAH, NTB, DI TENGAH ERA PEMBANGUNAN BERKELANJUTAN

This journal discusses ecotourism applied in Bilebante village as a form of tourism that emphasizes nature conservation and environmental sustainability. This journal aims to analyze strategies in implementing ecotourism in the green tourism village of Bilebante, Central Lombok, NTB. The method that will be used in writing this journal is qualitative research by collecting secondary data and observation through the interview process. In this context, Bilebante Village in Central Lombok, NTB, applies the concept of ecotourism to green tourism as a sustainable development effort. This itself will certainly have a domino effect on several dimensions in the economic space with a wider range, the development of ecotourism makes the local community have many options in using the benefits of tourism as employment. This research will use the concepts of ecotourism and sustainable tourism to analyze the implementation in Bilebante Village, with a focus on nature conservation, community participation, and the environment. In the end, this research is expected to conclude on how the strategy of implementing ecotourism in Bilebante Village without feeling that sustainable development is a threat to the concept of tourism applied in the village, and can provide insight to readers related to ecotourism, especially in the green tourism village of Bilebante, Lombok, NTB.

Exploring multifaceted pathways: understanding behavioral formation in green tourism selection through fsQCA

ABSTRACT Rather than confining the investigation solely to intentions, as typically done within the unifinality paradigm (e.g. Structural Equation Modeling with prespecified hypotheses), this paper extends the traditional approach by delving into the actual behaviors of tourists through diverse pathways. Employing mixed methods, we aim to uncover potential explanations for the formation of green behavioral patterns among tourists. While our findings reveal a limited variance in behavior explained solely by intention, it is imperative to recognize the critical role of intention as a significant determinant of behavior, as supported by our empirical data.

“Feel the green”: How a handwritten typeface affects tourists’ responses to green tourism products and services

This research examines how the visual cue of a handwritten (vs. typewritten) typeface, affects tourists’ responses to the marketing of green tourism. We draw on the visual marketing literature to propose that a handwritten typeface leads to more positive responses toward green destinations/products/hospitality (i.e., anticipation of enjoyment, willingness to pay, and booking intention) via tourists’ perception of greenness. We also find that the enhancing effect of a handwritten typeface occurs only in the green (as opposed to luxury) travel context. This effect is mitigated, however, when tourists are made conscious of greenness. Four experiments using different product and service categories across two countries support our hypotheses. Our findings contribute to the literature on green tourism, typeface design, and tourists’ perception of greenness, and provide practical guidelines that can help tourism companies and policymakers design effective green communication strategies.

Green Tourism: A Sustainable Tourism Marketing Approach for Tourism Services

Our aim was to analyze sustainable marketing strategies (green marketing) in the context of sustainable tourism, with green tourism as an intervening variable. We used an explanatory survey method with the application of the path analysis method for this research. The results of this research conclude several important findings. First, green marketing positively influences green tourism among tourist destination managers, as reflected in the influence value of 0.503. Second, green marketing strategies also have a positive effect on sustainable tourism among tourist destination managers, with an influence value of 0.426. Third, sustainable tourism among tourist destination managers is positively influenced by green tourism, with an influence value of 0.495. Finally, there is the influence of green marketing on sustainable tourism through green tourism among tourist destination managers, with an influence value of 0.248. These findings provide important insights into how sustainable marketing strategies can influence the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism.

 Tourism is the main source of revenue for the people of Lombok Island, particularly in Desa Wisata Hijau Bilebante. This village may be found in the Central Lombok Regency of West Nusa Tenggara. Beautiful rice fields and various intriguing activities can be found at Bilebante Green Tourism Village. Furthermore, Bilebante Green Tourism Village provides a selection of distinctive snacks administered by women. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of women in the development of Bilebante Green Tourism Village for sustainable tourism. Women are vital to the village's development as local leaders and as key players in economic operations, environmental protection, cultural preservation, and social empowerment. In qualitative terms, the research methods used in this study are descriptive and verification. According to the findings of this study, women play an important role in the development of the village, not only as local leaders but also as key players in economic activities, environmental protection, cultural preservation, and social empowerment. Suggestions for the development of Bilebante Green Tourism Village include improving the cleanliness of homestays, using environmentally friendly snack packaging, and providing road markings to improve tourist safety.

Adaptation of climate change: Sustainable tourism development

Background: Climate change refers to rapid changes of natural phenomena like weather patterns that are not caused by natural causes. Tourism sector shows its vulnerability to climate change remembering that this sector really depends on the climate condition. This paper aims to explore the vulnerability of tourism to climate change, tourism under climate change scenarios, and tourism adaptation to climate change using literature review method. This paper also includes the estimation on global impact of climate change tourism industry. Many researchers agreed that a solid framework needs to be established as an effort to adapt and mitigate climate change. One form of effort to achieve this is by environmental education, provision of loans, green tourism, eco-tourism, and environmental conservation projects. Nevertheless, this is not an all-fit in solutions, further research needs to be established to build a solid framework that involves all stakeholders. Methods: This paper is arranged using a literature review method sherached from many resources on the internet. The tourism vulnerability is really affected by climate change. Findings: This paper aims to explore vulnerability of tourism to climate change, tourism under climate change scenarios, and tourism adaptation to climate change. Conclusion: The tourism industry requires many sources of energy such as water, electricity, fossil fuel, etc., hence evaluating the system and framework is important to keep the sustainability and its resilience to climate change.

Enhancing the quality of homestay services in Lembah Oya to support sustainable tourism development in Selopamioro

Homestays provide accommodation for tourists who visit or purchase tour packages offered in tourist villages. The homestay in Selopamioro Village is part of the Oya Valley Homestay Association. Despite the existence of a community association, its governance system, institutions, service standards, and readiness in terms of administration and available facilities still do not meet homestay standards. The aim of this activity is to provide training and assistance to homestay managers to increase governance capacity and the quality of services provided to staying tourists, thereby supporting the sustainable development of green tourism in Selopamioro. The methods used include: 1) Field observations and interviews to identify the problems faced, 2) Program socialization, 3) Training and mentoring, and 4) Providing amenities. The results of this activity include an increase in governance and administration capacity, improved institutions, enhanced ability to serve guests, and provision of facilities such as bed sheets, blankets, and bed runners for each homestay room, as well as name boards and directions to make it easier to locate the homestay.

The influence of technology adoption and social media branding on green tourism in Zimbabwe: exploring the intermediary role of tourists’ behaviour

ABSTRACT In the contemporary landscape of Zimbabwe’s tourism industry, the convergence of social media branding, technology adoption, and the promotion of green tourism practices has emerged as a pivotal force shaping the trajectory of the country’s tourism sector. This article aims to explore the impact of social media branding and technology adoption on green tourism in developing countries, particularly Zimbabwe, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. These factors have emerged as powerful elements in the tourism industry. Employing a quantitative methodology, data were gathered from 335 tourism supply chain representatives using simple random sampling and the Krejcie and Morgan approach. Questionnaires were administered through Google Forms, and data analysis was performed using smart pls 3 software. The results reveal that social media branding and technology adoption have a positive influence on green tourism, with tourist behavior acting as a mediator in this relationship. This study can provide valuable insights to policymakers, green tourism supply chain, and environmentalists in devising strategies to promote green tourism in Zimbabwe and other developing countries.

The purpose of this study is to analyze a case study on Japan's sixth industrialization, specifically within fruit production areas. Three businesses were carefully selected based on secondary data to examine their production, processing, and sales methods, as well as to explore the distinctive characteristics of each case. As a result, in the first case, tangerines were transformed into products through collaboration with local universities, processed, and subsequently distributed to various sellers. The second case achieved a consistent income through direct sales at the fruit-producing farm's on-site store and emerged as a local tourism hub by coordinating with nearby tourist farms and farm stays through the Green Tourism Promotion Council. Lastly, the third case involved the acquisition of 'non-standardized products' from fruit-producing farms, which were then sold through original product development. By delving into case studies related to Japan’s sixth industry, specifically within fruit production areas and encompassing product development and the establishment of a local tourism hub, this research aims to propose alternative solutions to the challenges faced by rural areas.

Strategy and Sustainability of Ecotourism Villages in the Buleleng Regency

Analysis of personal motivation, use of digital information, and green tourism branding in Buleleng Regency is very important for the sustainability of the ecotourism villages that are starting to be developed. This research used a quantitative approach with a population of 16,521 people with respondent selection using purposive sampling to obtain 236 people. The primary data type was by giving questionnaires (Likert scale) to village heads, traditional Kelian, official Kelian, homestay owners, tourism awareness group (pokdarwis) heads, tourists, and village communities. All data was analyzed using WarpPLS 7.0. This research reveals that personal motivation, the use of digital information, and branding, influence the sustainability of ecotourism villages in Buleleng Regency. The results of this research are in line with the theory of planned behavior and attribution which explains individual motivation and the factors determining the success of a business, including technological support in the use of accounting information, while promotion is an external attribution. This research can provide information for the tourism village actors in Buleleng Regency regarding the promotion and management of tourism which should be in synergy with traditional villages and official villages. All community roles cannot be separated from collaboration between stakeholders who have a big responsibility in expanding the village towards independence.

Promoting Green Tourism Synergies with Cultural and Creative Industries: A Case Study of Greece

Green tourism is part of the global effort to create a more sustainable living environment, taking into account the needs of both the industry, the tourists and the local communities. CCIs are considered trustworthy ambassadors of authenticity and life values, and can therefore effectively promote and/or strengthen the ecological value. This paper focuses on the role that cultural and creative industries (CCIs) can play in the implementation of sustainable development, especially in regard to green tourism, focusing on their role as communicators of green messages. The methodological tools used for the collection, analysis and interpretation of data for this research include semiotic analysis in a number of CCIs’ products, coding their ecological messages; content analysis of the CCIs’ digital posts for a one-year period in order to examine the form, types and content of the communication; and a digital ethnography of the users’ comments in order to study the perception and interaction of the receivers of such messages, focusing on past, present and potential tourists. Through the case study of Greece—a well-known tourist destination with rich cultural resources—the author tries to answer to the following research questions: (a) Could green tourism be promoted as a life value through CCIs’ products and messages? (b) Are there any good and innovative practices for such promotion through the synergy of the tourism industry with CCIs that could be used as models for further cases? This paper concludes that CCIs can promote sustainability as a life value through role modeling, educational programs, and subconscious or more straightforward messages, using both their products and formal communication channels. The more successful way for Greek CCIs to promote green tourism is through synergies with official tourism promotion mechanisms. The research shows that in many cases, this linkage has been successful in a number of ways.

Socio-Economic Benefits of Highways (DCT) in Vietnam

Green transportation and green tourism have been developing together with positive impacts from highways development so there are socio-economic benefits of highways (DCT); esp. In regions in each country, including Vietnam. However, there are very few complete and systematic studies on the socio-economic benefits of exploiting DCT. Therefore, this paper will show again highway also contributes to promoting sustainable tourism, minimizing the negative impact of tourism on the environment and people's lives.

Fostering sustainable practices in Zimbabwean tourism for firewood energy sustainability and efficiency amid costly renewables, weak policies, scarce electricity, and extensive deforestation

AbstractAgainst the backdrop of Zimbabwe's captivating tourism landscapes and cultural heritage, energy sustainability challenges loom large. The paper investigates multifaceted relationship between, three independent variables: (reforestation program and funding, invasive tree species use, efficient cookstove adoption), one mediator: (green tourism supply chain behavior) and one dependent variable: (firewood energy sustainability). A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data from 483 tourists using simple random sampling and the Krejcie and Morgan table for determining the sample size. Questionnaires were distributed via Google forms, and structural equation modeling (SEM) was utilized for data analysis. Statistical findings indicate direct and indirect significant relationship between aforementioned variables and T‐statistics values all hypotheses were all greater than the threshold of 1.96. Ranging from a minimum of 2.515 to a maximum of 15.779. The findings pinpoint the importance of an integrated approach in Zimbabwe's tourism supply chain so as to address firewood energy sustainability and efficiency challenges stemming from costly renewables, weak policies, scarce electricity, and extensive deforestation. The study recommends tourism supply chain and policymakers to implement regulations on invasive species, offer incentives for technology adoption, practice and monitor green tourism supply chain practices within Zimbabwean tourism. The study's recommendations contribute to the ongoing discourse on fostering responsible energy practices within the tourism sector, aligning with global sustainability goals and future policy considerations.

The role of operators in sustainable whale-watching tourism: Proposing a continuous training framework.

Whale watching is considered a form of green tourism, but can affect marine ecosystems, impacting cetaceans' behavior and potentially increasing acoustic pollution. A more sustainable whale-watching practice should employ a comprehensive approach involving all stakeholders, but whale-watching operators are rarely involved. We propose a method to assess whale-watching operators' perceptions regarding the possible effects of their activity on marine fauna and preferred mitigation solutions, by means of online questionnaires and website communication strategies. Results from Canadian whale-watching operators show that they observe regulations regarding distance to whales but only partially perceive general vessels' impacts on fauna. Three recognized whale-watching experts identify the need for continuous training targeted at operators, which should include the impacts on marine ecosystems. A continuous training framework is proposed that targets whale-watching operators in addition to tourists, and involves scientists in several steps of the approach. This study serves as a starting point to involve operators' in order to advance towards a sustainable whale-watching tourism.

Contraurbanização na floresta periurbana de Guadalajara, México

Abstract Forests and farms are often replaced by counter-urbanization, in which people move from urban to rural areas, causing the progressive growth of rural areas beyond cities. This article delves into the counterurbanization process in the peri-urban forest of Guadalajara, Mexico known as “Bosque La Primavera'' (BLP), discussing three key elements: (1) the absence of a forest buffer zone, (2) the shift from agricultural to industrial and tertiary activities, and (3) green tourism and neo-ruralism moving to the countryside. A mixed methodological approach based on the Theory of Change (ToC) was used. Data was collected from an organization implementing a forest conservation program in 2020 and 2021. Twelve interviews were conducted with brigade members and academics. From the counterurbanization perspective, this study illustrates how unregulated urbanization, land use changes, and green tourism have all contributed to the progressive degradation of forest reserves in the BLP. Due to the growing links between urban and rural areas, rural economies in peri-urban forests are gradually being replaced by industrial and tertiary practices, whereas tourist amenities require new services that alter rural living patterns.
