Methods of geometric modeling and computer graphics based on the WorldSkills Occupational Standards “Engineering CAD Software”

This article examines the questions of preparation of students of technical specialties in the higher educational institutions based on the WorldSkills Occupational Standards “Engineering CAD Software”. The relevance of implementation of 3D modeling standards in modern computer-aided design systems into the educational process is substantiated by the need in preparation of highly qualified internationally recognized specialists in different industry fields. The author analyzed competitive tasks of the WorldSkills championships, as well as assesses the importance of graphic training for the development of competences of a modern specialist, who use CAD in their professional activity. The article examines the methodology of geometric-graphic preparation of students of the specialty 15.05.01 Design of Technological Machines and Complexes, specialization in the Design of Metallurgical Machines and Complexes, implemented in the Magnitogorsk State Technical University. A distinct advantage of this methodology is the use of various CAD software and development of the skills for manual sketching of details of mechanical engineering within the framework of studying engineering graphics. The results are acquired of successful implementation of competitive tasks of the Worldskills championships in the educational process. The author concludes that the use of the developed methodology in educational process allowed improving the efficiency of preparation of students.

ШЛЯХИ ФОРМУВАННЯ ПРОФЕСІЙНОЇ ГРАФІЧНОЇ КОМПЕТЕНТНОСТІ МАЙБУТНІХ АРХІТЕКТОРІВ

In the article actuality of research of questions of reformation is certain in the system of higher education, including from the point of view of improvement of modern principles of teaching of graphic disciplines creation of that assists forming of professional graphic competence students of architectural specialties. The forward process of improvement of educational activity produces new requirements to educating, in particular to his quality constituent, in this connection there is a necessity of development of mechanisms of the permanent monitoring of progress. The European model of education on the nearest future plugs in itself one of directions beginning such type of educating, that is characterized the considerable volume of independent work and active bringing in of students of creative specialties to the real projects, already from the first course, that it is impossible without steady skills individual graphic competence. In the last few years the circle of tasks that can be decided by graphic methods broadened, from meaningfulness of graphic disciplines that mortgage bases of the spatial thinking is accordingly enhance able therefore. The aim of our study is to analyze and summarize the results of experiments on the effect of quality of graphic competence of students which contributes to the effectiveness of their professional development. Long-term practice of teaching and exchange of experience in the methodology of graphic disciplines has shown that the formation of professional competence is impossible without a thorough study of the foundations of graphic literacy, whose essence lies in the study of the discipline Descriptive Geometry. Graphic education is a process, which leads to student’s gaining knowledge and skills of work with graphical information. The development of the ability to correctly perceive, create, store and transmit different graphical information about objects, processes and phenomena is the task of graphic training of professional education. Professional knowledge is objective necessary knowledge and abilities that is highly sought by future practical activity.

Когнитивные технологии в on-line базовой геометро-графической подготовке студентов технических вузов

Актуальность статьи обусловлена необходимостью анализа влияния применения когнитивных технологий в профессиональной подготовке инженеров в формате on-line обучения. Цель статьи состоит в анализе условий развития познавательных механизмов обучающихся: генерации знаний, умений и навыков владения - вследствие применения когнитивныхобучающих технологийв базовой геометро-графической подготовке. В целях формирования целостности инженерной деятельности в условиях цифровой экономикиавтором рассмотрены основные условия развития эффективных механизмов познания с учетом индивидуальных когнитивных возможностей личности обучающихся. Представлен практический опыт интеграции когнитивных технологий на базе проектной и проблемно-ориентированной дидактикипутем интеллектуально интерактивного on-line обучения методом проектов. Показано, что проблемно-ориентированная проектная деятельность в команде, расширяет область профессиональных задач и обогащает интеллектуальный потенциал каждого отдельного обучающегося. Интеллектуальная интерактивность обучающего материала позволяетформировать как индивидуальную траекторию отдельного обучающегося, так и групповой менталитет команды разработчиков технических объектов. The relevance of the article is due to the need to analyze the impact of the implementation of cognitive technologies in the professional training of engineers in the online-training format. The purpose of the article is to analyze the conditions for the development of students’ cognitive mechanisms: the generation of knowledge, skills and proficiency due to the use of cognitive training technologies in basic geometric and graphic training. In order to form the integral unity of engineering activities in the digital economy, the author considers the main conditions for the development of effective mechanisms of cognition, taking into account the individual cognitive capabilities of students. The article presents practical experience in integrating cognitive technologies based on project-based and problem-oriented didactics via means of intelligent, interactive online- learning using the project method. It is shown that problem-oriented project activity in a team expands the scope of professional tasks and enriches the intellectual potential of each individual student. The intellectual interactivity of the training material allows you to form both the individual vector for an individual student and the group mentality of a team of developers of technical objects.

Using the Project Method during the Graphic Training of Future Computer Science Teachers

In view of the modern prospects of technological development, the role of a computer science teacher in providing comprehensive and competitive training to students of higher education institutions should not be underrated. As long as graphic technology constitutes is an essential part of every day changing information environment, graphic training must be paid, especially great attention and the methods for its performance must be thought-through deeply enough. The task of higher education institutions is not only to form the knowledge of the basic rules of performing graphic documents for future specialists but also to teach them how to use their knowledge for rational perception and transformation of the surrounding technology-related environment. The experience of the conducted research proved that an effective tool for the implementation of this goal is the use of the project method in the educational process, which in turn makes it necessary to justify the method of its use. This study revealed the features of using the project method at various stages of forming graphic concepts in the process of professional training of future computer science teachers. It is possible to conclude that in the project activity combined with the tasks of graphic training, future teachers of computer science comprehend the entire technology of solving problems from the problem statement to the presentation of the result.

K voprosu o tsifrovoj transformatsii predmetnogo obucheniya [About digital transformation of subject learning

Digital education is carried out due to a deep transformation of the educational process and widespread use of digital educational technologies. Within the framework of subject learning, digital technologies are radically changing the content of the disciplines taught and the form of their presentation. The experience of creating a digital educational environment (DEE) in the framework of subject training is considered on the example of basic geometric and graphic training (GGT) of technical university students. Currently, the main factors shaping GGT are the paradigm of engineering education and methodology of design and development activities, which have undergone dramatic changes with the development of information technology. The basic concept of graphic education should initially and entirely be based on a digital 3D (volumetric) model that combines information about a product at all stages of its life cycle. At the same time, applied geometric aspects should prevail over abstract geometry and graphics, not underestimating the role of theoretical foundations in the basic GGP. The architecture of building DEE of geometric-graphic training is presented, which integrates all types of educational activities and is based on the principle of “continuity” of the learning process in a digital environment at all stages of the educational process. The functional use of digital technologies in various forms of training sessions, which allows students to carry out independent activities, taking into account personalization, is noted. Practical examples of graphic tasks, design and test tasks are given. When organizing monitoring in DEE conditions, existing methodological developments can be used, adapted and integrated in terms of the DEE system and the paradigmatic concept of GGT. Monitoring of learning outcomes in assessing digital competence, along with the constant improvement of test control, implies its completion with other forms of assessing the achievements of students.

Development and approbation of models of graphic art training for designers of light industry products

Topicality of the study responds to a need of modern Russian light industry for designers capable of developing new, aesthetic, highly artistic products. The problem of aesthetic training of designers of products of light industry can be solved by means of art and graphic disciplines. But to date, a holistic artistic and graphic training of designers corresponding to the specifics of their professional practices has not been proposed. The article presents the theoretical justification for the training of designers of light industry products and the results of its approbation. The main research methods are pedagogic modelling and pedagogic experiment. The model is developed on the basis of reverse design methods and a systematic approach. A costume as an object of design includes technological and artistic-aesthetic aspects, respectively, in the content of the model; a set of exercises has been developed aimed at mastering the techniques of artistic graphics of the costume and the development of figurative thinking, the accumulation of visual experience. The pedagogic experiment showed that the developed model allows improving the quality of artistic and graphic training of designers of light industry products. The results of the study can be applied in the preparation of designers in institutions of higher and secondary vocational education.

Дистанционная любовь или обучение графическим дисциплинам в условиях пандемии

In this paper it is noted that a characteristic and most important feature of domestic education is close interaction of teacher and student, mentoring, the dominant formula: first love, and then teach. It is feared that the teacher-student personal interaction is lost with the introduction of a graduated training system, dominance of all kinds of testing, and development of distance education technologies.
 At the same time it is noted, that distance education technologies are good for distance learning and self-training, however, they do not contribute to the training of basic, elite specialists. The noted factors give no way to pay due attention to the training of talented students-intellectuals. They are nervous about the popular belief that vast arrays of high intelligence are merely useless for today's society and economy.
 The results of work in the distance learning conditions at the BSTU "VOENMEKH" chair for graphic training of future specialists in the defense industry’s area are analyzed in this paper. It contains also information on adjustments for the educational process, communication features, and evaluation criteria. The conclusion has been drawn that significant difficulties and contingent losses are associated with the loss of possibility for close teacher-student personal interaction that has not allowed the teacher to show proper love for the student.
 The assumption that the most of students are unbred to effective independent work was confirmed. The best adapted to this situation were those former scholars who were taught in an environment that allows them to receive electives of engineering profile or special courses.
 The percentage of students who has not started the distance education or has not coped with it is about 35%, which significantly exceeds the losses of previous years for the same period. At the same time it is noted that past losses were actually determined from the very beginning of training. The current losses have an onset coinciding with the pandemic onset. These data confirm doubts about students' commitment to distance learning.

Формування професіоналізму у майбутніх фахівців-технологів деревообробки під час вивчення графічних дисциплін

Встановлено, що професійно орієнтована графічна підготовка технологів деревообробного виробництва має спиратись на такі методологічні принципи, як взаємозв'язок явищ і процесів, єдності теорії та практики, а також на такі принципи формування системи знань та вмінь: системності, систематичності, випередження, фундаменталізації, гуманітаризації, професійної спрямованості та індивідуалізації навчання. Виявлено, що повноцінне формування професійно орієнтованих графічних знань та вмінь майбутніх технологів деревообробки буде досягнуте при дотриманні таких педагогічних умов: 1) забезпечення участі студентів у таких видах діяльності, які потребують практичної реалізації графічних знань і умінь; 2) встановлення взаємодії та взаємозв'язків графічних знань та вмінь зі спеціальними за допомогою інформаційних технологій; 3) реалізація ідей інтеграції графічних знань та вмінь із спеціальними знаннями та вміннями за допомогою інноваційних форм і методів навчання й навчально-методичного забезпечення; 4) надання креативно-діяльнісного характеру завданням і задачам з графічних дисциплін. Визначено, що професійна підготовка майбутніх фахівців технологів деревообробного профілю буде більш ефективною за таких умов: формування системних знань та вмінь з графічних дисциплін на підставі інтегративного підходу; забезпечення наступності знань та вмінь з комплексу графічних дисциплін на різних ступенях навчання; врахування особливостей професійної підготовки майбутніх фахівців; використанні єдиного підходу до розроблення навчальних програм професійно орієнтованих дисциплін; забезпечення наступності у формуванні графічних знань та умінь; розроблення методичного забезпечення для аудиторної та самостійної роботи, зокрема, пакетів для контролю знань студентів. Встановлено, що підготовка технологів деревообробного виробництва організовується відповідно до відібраних методологічних підходів (системного, інтегративного, креативного і діяльнісного), конкретизованих принципів формування системи знань та вмінь (системності, випередження, фундаменталізації, професійної спрямованості, систематичності, гуманітаризації та індивідуалізації навчання), стандартів вищої технологічної освіти, освітньо-кваліфікаційної характеристики і освітньо-професійної програми. До подальших напрямів дослідження відносимо розроблення теоретико-методичних положень щодо формування системи професійно орієнтованих графічних знань та умінь, а також її конкретизацію у професійній підготовці майбутніх технологів деревообробки.

ВИКОРИСТАННЯ ЕЛЕКТРОННОГО НАВЧАЛЬНО-МЕТОДИЧНОГО КОМПЛЕКСУ З КРЕСЛЕННЯ В ПРОЦЕСІ ГРАФІЧНОЇ ПІДГОТОВКИ МАЙБУТНІХ УЧИТЕЛІВ ТРУДОВОГО НАВЧАННЯ

У статті представлено загальну характеристику авторського електронного навчально-методичного комплексу (ЕНМК) з креслення, що використовується в процесі графічної підготовки майбутніх учителів трудового навчання в Дрогобицькому державному педагогічному університеті імені Івана Франка. Узагальнено основні дидактичні можливості ЕНМК: забезпечення системного та послідовного вивчення креслення відповідно до вимог, що ставляться до графічної компетентності вчителя трудового навчання; збільшення наочності навчального матеріалу, розширення способів його подання; організація автоматизованого педагогічного контролю на будь-якому етапі навчання; забезпечення роботи студентів з додатковими джерелами інформації; організація самостійної навчально-пізнавальної діяльності студентів; доступ до віддалених інформаційних ресурсів; підвищення індивідуалізації процесу навчання. Подано короткий аналіз основних змістових компонентів (модулів) авторського ЕНМК: методичного, навчального, контрольного, довідникового, інформаційно-пошукового. Охарактеризовано основні режими роботи в середовищі авторського ЕНМК, зокрема: режим електронного підручника; режими «База конструкторсько-графічної документації», «База технічних деталей», «Комплекс графічних завдань», «Електронний довідник», «Словник термінів». Висвітлено додаткові режими роботи з ЕНМК (робота з архівом електронних копій друкованої навчальної літератури, що знаходиться у вільному доступі та рекомендована для використання в процесі графічної підготовки майбутніх учителів трудового навчання; робота з Інтернет-ресурсами з питань навчання графічних дисциплін). Представлено результати впровадження ЕНМК з креслення в процес графічної підготовки майбутніх учителів трудового навчання в Дрогобицькому державному педагогічному університеті імені Івана Франка.

Evaluation of technical drawing rules and its application in engineering drawings and final year projects

The way of imagination and visualization of spatial, the ability of read, analyze and interpret different drawings for engineering students is provided by graphics training. The accurate way of technical drawings and rules in engineering drawing in final year projects are discussed in this paper. Primary and main material collection was done by distribution of questionnaires amongst the final year students and also by collecting their look outs based on a survey questionnaire amongst 300 students from different engineering departments. 300 different final year projects and 2500 engineering drawings were surveyed from a batch of students from 2016-0218. Although, the design drawings and architecture drawings in civil and architecture departments take around 90 sheets, whereas simple drawings are sparse. But in the field of geology and mind, oil and gas, hydraulics have majority of infrastructure and simpler drawings. Conclusively, the application of technical drawings is same in all departments, while in civil and Architecture department's projects, scales, thicknesses of lines, types of lines are used correctly and due to wrong use of symbols and colors is rejected. In Geology and mind, oil and gas and hydraulic due to the use of large scales, colors are accepted but, on basis of incorrect use of line thicknesses and small dimensions are rejected.

Didactic Opportunities of Information and Communication Technologies in Graphic Training of Future Technology Teachers

Purposeful use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in drawing lessons provides an opportunity for the complex attraction of various forms of sensual and rational cognition for comprehensive study and thorough assimilation of the essence of the studied objects and phenomena; formation of the scientific style of thinking of students; development of creative abilities of future specialists; improving the efficiency of the educational process, etc. The purpose of the article is to explore the didactic capabilities of ICT tools in the process of graphic training of future technology teachers in drawing lessons. It is established that the effectiveness of using ICT in the process of graphic preparation of students is achieved only with the use of special software. In this regard, according to various classification features (didactic goals; basic architecture; branches of scientific knowledge; functional purpose) the analysis and systematization of the software the tools that can be used in the process of graphic training of future technology teachers in drawing lessons. It presents the practical experience of systematic use of didactic capabilities of software of various types in graphic preparation of students (educational presentations, electronic databases, electronic directories, controlling software) as well as the general characteristics of modelling software, including computer-aided design systems (ArchiCad, AutoCad, SolidWorks, T-Flex Cad, COMPASS), which have become the most widespread in graphic preparation of students. The authors reveal functional possibilities and didactic significance of the COMPASS program in the process of studying geometrical, projection, machine-building, schematic and construction drawings. The article presents the results of the implementation of ICT tools (including the COMPASS program) in the process of graphic training of future teachers of technologies.

A modified design-analog method of teaching geometry and graphics as a means of integrating of training and design activities of future architects

The strategy of teaching orthogonal and other projections, as well as the basics of geometry formation of the future architect is based on the practical orientation of the teaching process and is based on a modified design-analog method. Possibilities of the building industry show an urgency of research and realization of methods of shaping geometry in a course of descriptive geometry. The purpose of the study is to develop technology for the formation of design skills of shaping, based on the proposed modified design and analogue method. The object of research is geometrical and graphic training of students pursuing the degree in Architecture or Design of architectural environment. The subject of study is the technology of training of shaping in the course of descriptive geometry and based on a modified design-analog method. The characteristic feature of this method is its connection with the architectural practice of both educational and professional. The methodological basis for its application is the method of creating of the architectural form of an object. The workshop has been tested and allowed to consider a set of actions and operations, their sequence.

Pelatihan Grafik Maple dalam Pembelajaran Matematika

Nowadays, the mathematics teachers have to implement mathematics learning using technology, especially for vocational mathematics teachers. Technological applications that can be utilized in learning mathematics include maple. Maple is mathematical software that integrates computational capabilities both symbolic and numerical, graphics are very influential to help in solving mathematical problems. The method offered in solving partner problems is by organizing maple graph training and mentoring in applying maple graphics in mathematics learning. The success of this community service activity is supported by some factors, namely: high interest and desire in participating in training activities to completion, interest and support from Singosari PGRI Vocational School as a partner school in maple graph training activities, active involvement so that there is mutual sharing of knowledge about maple graphics. The community service activity with maple graphic training gets a positive response from vocational teachers with an achievement of 93%, the results of the presentation of maple graphics with very good achievements are 87%. This community service activity with maple graphic training for Singosari Vocational School teachers are very useful in adding insight of computer knowledge, especially the use of maple graphics, and fostering creativity and skills in using maple graphics in mathematics learning.

Trainees’ Perceptions on Project-Based Learning in Computer Graphic Design Training

The Project-Based Learning Model (PjBL) is one of the models used in vocational learning because it provides learning experiences to produce a product. The purpose of this paper is to describe the trainee's responses to the benefits gained from the experience of the PjBL activities in the Computer Graphic Design training, which are based on four aspects, technical skill development, project management, teamwork, and relevance. The study was conducted among 31 trainees at the Vocational Training Center in Sleman Regency. Its data collection technique uses a Likert scale questionnaire, and its data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics. The findings of the study indicated that the trainees assume that PjBL activities in computer graphic design training can provide positive learning experiences. The PjBL activities also helped the process of knowledge and skills construction in the form of technical skills. Aspects of teamwork, project management, and relevance can also build soft skills for trainees during the training.

Exercise Training Attenuates Cirrhotic Cardiomyopathy.

Cirrhotic cardiomyopathy is a condition where liver cirrhosis is associated with cardiac dysfunction. Triggers and blockers of cirrhotic cardiomyopathy are poorly understood, which might compromise the prognosis of chronic liver disease patients. We tested whether exercise training would reduce liver damage induced by thioacetamide and prevent liver cirrhosis-associated cardiomyopathy. Wistar rats were divided into three groups: control, thioacetamide (TAA), or TAA plus exercise. Thioacetamide increased liver weight and serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels. Also, TAA treatment was involved with hepatic nodule formation, fibrotic septa, inflammatory infiltration, and hepatocyte necrosis. The exercise group presented with a reduction in liver injury status. We found that liver injury was associated with disordered cardiac hypertrophy as well as diastolic and systolic dysfunction. Exercise training attenuated cirrhosis-associated cardiac remodeling and diastolic dysfunction and prevented systolic impairment. These results provided insights that exercise training can mitigate cirrhotic cardiomyopathy phenotype. Graphical Abstract Exercise training attenuated liver injury as well as cirrhosis-associated cardiac remodeling and diastolic dysfunction and prevented systolic impairment.

Розроблена методика, яка використовує SolidWorks як засіб навчання з технічних дисциплін автомобільного профілю: твердотільне 3D проектування й моделювання вузлів і деталей автомобільної техніки та пристосувань на перших курсах навчання (SolidWorks); міцнісні, стійкісні, втомні та інші інженерні розрахунки цих вузлів і деталей – на наступних (SolidWorks-додатки).

Peningkatan SDM Melalui Keterampilan Desain Grafis Sebagai Peluang Usaha Ekonomis Produktif (UEP) Karang Taruna Desa Sokawera

Tekad Sembada IX is a youth organization in the village of Sokawera, Cilongok, which was established in 1986. One of Karang Taruna Tekad Sembada IX's vision is to have a youth activity center called Karang Taruna Corner, where one of its activities is to create businesses in the field of digital printing. One of the skills needed is to make graphic designs to support these activities, therefore there is need for training to improve the ability of members of the organization. The purpose of community service is to provide knowledge and skills to members of Karang Taruna Tekad Sembada IX in Sokawera village, Cilongok by using Coreldraw software. Training materials include installation steps and the use of Coreldraw software to create banner and logo designs. The method used in this service activity is to provide training through the presentation and the use of Coreldraw software. The achievement of this dedication activity are the implementation of graphic design training with 10 participants who can take part in the training and the knowledge about graphic design using Coreldraw gained by the participant as a step to improve the human resources of Karang Taruna Tekad Sembada IX members in Sokawera village, Cilongok, Banyumas.

Технологии тестирования в оценке предметной готовности студентов к изучению геометро- графических дисциплин вуза

Engineering practice cannot and will never be successful without spatial imagination and thinking, deep knowledge of geometric methods and ways for solution of engineering problems, comprehensive understanding of specificity and geometric features of technical objects and their images, understanding of labor organization impact on these processes etc. In this paper has been described the social and pedagogical investigation of question related to students’ substantive readiness to study higher educational institution’s graphic disciplines, and this question’s basis is contradiction between requirements to the initial level of students’ knowledge and skills and the level of students’ substantive readiness on the course of school training. In this paper have been performed analysis and generalization of existing pedagogical experience on issues related to graphic training. A method and a scheme for monitoring the degree of students’ competence on the school geometry course using Google forms have been proposed. Selective testing of students by the proposed way has been performed. Statistical processing of data obtained during this testing has been carried out, the density function of correct responses has been built, field of testing results correlation with total score of Unified State Exam (USE) results has been carried out, cluster analysis of obtained results has been performed by Varda method. Using the theory of latent variables and the Rush model an analysis of test tasks, aimed at optimizing the test structure, has been carried out. Based on the performed investigation, recommendations have been given for further research in this field, and measures are proposed on changing the learning process aimed at personalizing and building an individual learning trajectory in order to increase the educational process’s efficiency.

TASKS OF DESCRIPTIVE GEOMETRY AND ENGINEERING-GRAPHIC TRAINING OF SPECIALISTS IN THE CONCEPT OF INTRODUCING BIM TECHNOLOGY IN CONSTRUCTION

This publication has analyzed and outlined a set of tasks that must be included and implemented in the educational process of preparing students for the “Construction and Architecture” direction within the framework of the “Descriptive Geometry” discipline and engineering and graphic training. This is due to the introduction of BIM - Building Information Modeling in Ukraine. Digitalization of the design, creation and operation of environmental facilities is currently an urgent problem, which will significantly increase the productivity and profitability of the construction industry in Ukraine. One of the most important conditions for the introduction of BIM technology is the availability and training of qualified specialists. The training of professionals is quite difficult and prolonged task, based on new technologies and learning objectives appropriate to the level of development of information technologies and the requirements of modern design and manufacturing technologies, or even ahead of them.The professional activity of an architect (or builder) and his training involves graphic preparation, which includes: knowledge of the methods for performing and reading projection drawings, developed spatial thinking (the ability to analyze the shape of a model of an architectural structure, its size, spatial position and the ratio of various elements of an object). In addition, knowledge of the geometric foundations of shaping in architecture and their application in design.When training specialists in the «Construction and Architecture» direction, it is necessary to introduce innovative educational technologies aimed at developing students' ability to work in a team, competencies in the field of modern information and communication technologies, as well as their readiness to carry out design based on spatial information modeling.The article describes the main directions of preparing students for the introduction of digital technologies in construction and architecture regarding the disciplines of descriptive geometry and graphic preparation.

Improvement of graphic training of first year students of design specialties

The work considers issues of improvement of geometric and graphic training of students of the first year of architectural specialties. The low graphic culture of applicants entering design specialties is due to many factors, among them the lack of creative examination on drawing when entering these specialties in higher education institutions. The work shows that in order to improve the profile competence of future artists already from the first year it is necessary to improve their graphic culture, creating in the course of discipline "Project graphics" professionally oriented graphic tasks. First of all, it concerns the study of the topic "Line Curves." The results of many years of experience in the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics at KNUCA and the analysis of Student’s drawings works made it possible to draw conclusions about the need to study the tasks of construction circular curves and manual draw smooth curves of varying radii using patterns (a French curve). Second-order curves should lines (quadric), also be used in the professional activities of future designers. They can be used to base the geometry and create geometric models of curved planar contours of different geometric entitiesAnalysis of graphic training of students of the first year of creative specialties showed the need for immediate improvement of their graphic culture. Graphic competence requires further training and improvement of the specifics of professional training of bachelor's degrees. The development and use of special graphic assignments, which will be oriented to further professional activities of future specialists, will allow setting up students to solve professional design issues.
