The article is dedicated to the examination of the main problems and prospects of developing the concept of arts synthesis in the context of artistic education of a future primary school teacher. It is reflected that the introduction of the concept of arts synthesis into the artistic education of a primary school teacher is interpreted as a phenomenon caused by the processes of globalization, which embraces all the spheres of modern society. It is determined that global thinking requires new ways of integration and modern presentation of information, which, in turn, conditions the new content, forms and methods of artistic education. The article focuses on the fact that the synthesis of arts has common features of an evolutionary process in creativity and education, which contributes to the comprehensive acquisition by future primary school teachers of various aspects of the surrounding reality by means of spiritual and cultural heritage. It is concluded that the improvement and updating of the methodological basis in the context of the synthesis of arts will contribute to the optimization of artistic training of a future specialist in primary education and effective formation of his/her general cultural competence. Attention is focused on the need for the adoption of a system of approaches to implement the concept of synthesis of arts in the artistic and aesthetic training of a higher education applicant in program subject area 013 Primary Education. It is concluded that the optimal structure of the system of methodological approaches for the application of the concept of arts synthesis in the artistic and aesthetic training of a future primary school teacher will be the one that organically combines integrative, creative, culturological, activity, personal and axiological approaches. It is argued that the dominant element in the structure of this system is an integrative approach that determines the vectors of the other methodological approaches and is the initial factor for determining the pedagogical indications and qualitative characteristics of comprehensive educational space as a whole. On the basis of the theoretical and empirical research, the mutual functions are analysed that the system of the above-mentioned approaches carries out in an educational process of a pedagogical higher educational institution. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the strategy of synthesis of arts in artistic education allows to implement modern sociocultural values as an object in the process of artistic and aesthetic activity of a future primary school teacher.
