The molecular structures of cis and trans isomers of 3-chloro-bicyclo[3,1,0]-hexane have been studied by the gas electron diffraction method in combination with molecular mechanics calculations. The cis isomer was found to exist in a boat/chair conformational mixture (20.5 ± 5% chair), while only the boat conformer was detected for the trans isomer.
