This paper discusses the visibility of infrastructure integration and the interconnectedness of university accountability in the context of generating a sustainable conducive learning environment of an international standard campus in Malaysian Public Universities. The sustainability of a conducive learning environment proves the commitment of the university management in realising the country’s internationalisation policy. The concept of conducive environmental sustainability is centered on the vital functions and effectiveness of the infrastructure system implemented by a university. It has continuity with a system of well-being and welfare support which is an attractive factor in the selection of Malaysia as a study destination for international students. Ideally, the provision of university infrastructure includes three components, (a) learning and teaching infrastructure, (b) Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, and (c) research infrastructure. This study has two main objectives, namely (1) to explore the views of international students on the sustainability of the infrastructure system in Malaysian Public Universities and (2) to assess the views of students on the responsibility of Malaysian Public Universities to provide a conducive learning environment to upgrade its status as an international campus. A qualitative approach using in-depth interview techniques was selected based on the background of an exploratory study. A total of 30 international students studying at four Malaysian Public Universities were interviewed to obtain empirical data. The application of thematic techniques to the transcripts of in-depth interviews was through the process of coding dominant and subdominant themes. The discussion of this paper utilises a selection of narrative from respondents that focus on three dominant themes namely (i) Facilities and Infrastructure (ii) Customer Friendly Services of the Office of International Affairs and (iii) Assurance of International Student Safety at Malaysian Public Universities. It is hoped that this discussion will be able to elevate the image and quality of Malaysian Public Universities in continuing to give a commitment to attracting more international students to further their studies in Malaysia.

Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) is a hospital owned by the Lombok Tengah Regency Government. RSUD Praya has a main vision as a hospital with excellent service, by prioritizing perfect, effective, efficient and friendly quality services, family-based manner with financing affordable to all levels of society. Efforts that have been made by RSUD Praya are implementing hospital information systems. In 2014 RSUD Praya has used the hospital information system (SIMRS) which was developed independently. However, the SIMRS that was developed has not been deemed effective in supporting business processes at RSUD Praya. In mid-2019 to date, RSUD Praya has carried out a system migration. The system migration from the old SIMRS to SIMRS Khanza presented obstacles in integrating data. One reason is that the two hospital information systems were developed by different developers. Therefore, the data contained in each Database is different. This difference creates a gap when it comes to analyzing patient data simultaneously from 2014 to the present. Gap analysis between the two hospital information systems at RSUD Praya cannot reflect good data management. One of the efforts to overcome the gap analysis is to build a data warehouse. The development of a data warehouse and dashboard is the right effort if you look at the size of the data records stored in the two SIMRS Databases used at RSUD Praya. The test results on the dashboard system that were developed simultaneously were as much as 86% with each measured assessment was a system quality assessment of 86%, an assessment of information quality by 88%, and an assessment of system service quality by 85% of the test results it can be concluded that the system is sufficient. assist in supporting the performance of data processing at RSUD Praya. With the dashboard system developed at RSUD Praya, stakeholders in the hospital be able to get the information and knowledge contained in the transaction data carried out at RSUD Praya easily

The convergence of the concepts of academic and inclusive excellence at research universities

Introduction. In the 21st century, there is an active involvement of universities in inclusive processes; however, against the backdrop of increasing diversity, new types of inequality arise in higher education. The processes of transformation of organisational cultures in universities and their research agenda under the influence of inclusion need to be studied.The aimof the present research was to analyse the convergence of concepts of academic and inclusive excellence in foreign universities of the world level, the impact of convergence on their missions, the values expressed in official strategies, the research agenda and the infrastructure of scientific collaborations.Methodology and research methods. The authors conducted a content analysis of three strategies of world-class University associations (the Association of American Colleges and Universities, the Association of Universities in Canada, the League of European Research Universities), nine strategies for the development of universities in the USA and Canada, the European Union, and Australia. A scientometric analysis of Web of Science metadata was performed using the VOSViewer software.Results and scientific novelty. The current research confirms the convergence of values of academic excellence and inclusion in research universities. It is revealed that the concept of inclusive excellence of the university is an enriched version of its academic excellence and denotes a set of university strategies and practices aimed at achieving the best results in training, research and services through maintaining diversity and inclusive processes. The world's leading universities are actively involved in the process of creating an inclusive friendly environment and services, which are accessible to all members of the educational process, regardless of their social status and development characteristics. When universities reach academic heights, they recognise inclusion as the next level of their development. In turn, inclusion becomes a factor in the movement of the university towards academic excellence. The key characteristics and contradictions of the convergence of the concepts of inclusive and academic excellence of universities are identified. The local models of inclusive excellence of universities and the contexts, which influence these models, are described. The gaps between educational policies and research agendas of leading universities are revealed. The clusters of international studies on inclusive processes in higher education are highlighted.Practical significance. Russian universities, which implement the federal programme for improvement of international competitiveness based on the values of academic excellence, are developing in accordance with global trends. Therefore, the model of inclusive excellence of the university can be used in practical terms to implement inclusive strategies and overcome social inequality both at the university and outside of it within the framework of a new educational initiative of Russia on academic leadership.

For the progress of its business, the company seeks to improve the performance of its employees in order to satisfy consumers by prioritizing good and friendly service quality. This study aims to determine the influence between work environment and job characteristics. and work discipline on employee performance. The population in this study were all employees of PT. Raditya Dewata Perkasa, amounting to 175 people. The sample in this study was 64 people. The determination of the sample in this study was using the Slovin method. The data collection methods used in this study were by conducting observations, interviews, and by distributing questionnaires. The analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The analytical tool used is SPSS 23.0. The results of this study indicate: 1) work environment variables have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. 2) Job characteristics variables also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. 3) Work discipline variables also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Barriers and opportunities to using health information in policy implementation: The case of adolescent and youth friendly health services in the Western Cape.

BackgroundThe production, use and exchange of health information is an essential part of the health services, as it is used to inform daily decision-making and to develop new policies, guidelines and programmes. However, there is little insight into how health care workers (HCWs) get access to and use health information when implementing new health programmes.AimThis study explored the multifaceted role of health information within policy implementation processes and aimed to understand the complexities experienced by HCWs who need to develop adolescent health profiles (AHPs), a criterion of implementing a larger Adolescent and Youth Friendly Services Programme (AYFSP).SettingThis case study was undertaken in Gugulethu, a peri-urban, low-income neighbourhood in Cape Town, South Africa.MethodsData were collected through ethnographic qualitative methods, including participant observation, interviews and workshops, and 15 participants were enrolled for this purpose.ResultsFindings showed that HCWs experienced different barriers when accessing information to develop the AHPs, including a lack of access to databases, a lack of support and inadequate guidelines. Nevertheless, HCWs were resourceful in using informal information and building strategic relationships to navigate and gain access to the necessary data to develop AHPs.ConclusionThis case study provided insights into the practical difficulties and innovative strategies which arise when HCWs attempt to access and use health information within a real-life health programme. Findings highlighted the need for more training, support and guidance for HCWs to improve the meaningful use of health information during policy implementation processes and to strengthen health services in South African primary care clinics.

A Study of Quality and Proficiency of the Service Providers in Delivering the Adolescent and Youth Friendly Services under the Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram Programme in Madhya Pradesh

Despite existing frameworks for the improvement of adolescent reproductive health, there is a lack in provision of the Adolescent Friendly Health Services (AFHS). The primary objective of this study was to assess the quality and proficiency of service providers to deliver Adolescent Friendly Health Services (AFHS) in central India. Data was gathered by visiting 30 secondary and tertiary level health facilities to assess their infrastructure and preparedness for providing AFHS using a pre-designed questionnaire based on WHO guidelines for assessing quality. Descriptive analysis was done using SPSS v21 and Microsoft Excel. Quality of AFHS services was found to be poor in non- RKSK facilities. However the knowledge level, training status and counseling skills of the service provider was found to be highly substandard in both RKSK and Non-RKSK facilities. The RKSK program has not been properly implemented and has failed to make an impact where it was required.

Adolescence is a crucial period in the life of every individual. The significance of adolescence and young adulthood is highlighted in relation to the crucial developmental process of preparing and transitioning to adulthood. During this period, the important developmental milestones are reached, and the young person develops a greater understanding about who they are and form their self-identity as per the Erikson. Adolescents become more independent and autonomous during this time. Adolescence is marked by changes that are not only physical but also psychological, social and emotional. Sometimes due to lack of proper knowledge and guidance, they end up having health related issues like teen pregnancy, STDs and other mental health issues like breakups etc. To tackle all these issues the health professionals should be sensitive and non-judgmental and should provide unbiased care. Adolescents have their own experiences and point of view that should be respected and taken into account. It is important to trust adolescents and their sense of responsibility. Adolescents are often reluctant to visit health facilities. It is therefore important to reach out to them by providing adolescent friendly services. It is their right also to have access to health care whenever they need it. It is essential to have trained and sensitive staff in these health centers so that young people access services in these centers in a confidential and non-judgmental manner.

Hospital Waste Management through Green QFD Implementation

Based on case studies conducted in various health institutions, the high production of medical waste is one proof that medical waste management is still problematic. This study examines various problems in the field of medical waste management. This study explores staff perceptions of medical waste management. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes as well as the role of health workers on medical waste management. Here we study the quality index and environmental index of two health care centers, one is a private hospital and one is a government hospital and compared these two indices with each other via a questionnaire survey. To produce more environmentally friendly services, customers, and environmental criteria must be considered during the decision-making process, and the Implementation of Green QFD (G-QFD) provides a very useful methodology to meet this goal.

Re-envisioning the role of student health centers in offering LGBTQIA + friendly and sex-positive services

Objective:Offering comprehensive lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual (LGBTQIA+) friendly and sex-positive student health centers are central to institutions of higher education being able to retain and support students. Positive sexual experiences for LGBTQIA + students can have an impact on academic success but many LGBTQIA + students are discriminated against and are often victims of microaggressions. Participants: Twenty undergraduate students enrolled in a LGBTQIA+ health course. Methods: Students in an LGBTQIA + Health undergraduate course at a private Northeastern university assessed what mattered most to them when it came to creating a sex-positive healthcare environment that promotes LGBTQIA + inclusiveness and removes perceived barriers. Results:The themes included expanding mental health care, greater involvement of culturally-competent provider, establishing a stigma-free clinical environment, re-imagining the clinic waiting room, and facilitating sexual health advocacy. Conclusion: Re-envisioning the role of student health centers is critical for ensuring every student has a fair and just opportunity to achieve their full health potential.

Assessing the HIV Knowledge, Awareness, and Utilization of YFS among Undergraduates in Rivers State, Nigeria

Background: The establishment of a Youth Friendly Centre (YFC) is to ensure that the reproductive and sexual health needs of young people are adequately met. However, data have shown that a number of them are not even aware of such Centres in their vicinities or the services they offer, how much more utilize them. Therefore, this study aimed at assessing the level of HIV knowledge, awareness, and utilization of Youth Friendly Services (YFS) among undergraduates in Rivers State University, Rivers State, Nigeria.
 Methods: A total of 520 students were given structured self-administered questionnaire which had been validated and pretested. Four hundred and forty-six questionnaires were returned properly filled. Information regarding knowledge of Human immunodeficiency virus/Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS), awareness, and utilization of Youth Friendly Services were obtained from the students.
 Results: Two hundred and nineteen (49.1%) of the students indicated HIV had no cure, while 73(16.4%) reported that there was a cure and 154 (34.5%) specified they were uncertain. The female respondents had a better knowledge compared to their male counterparts. The respondents exhibited a high knowledge of HIV preventive measures with the majority 357 (80%) indicating that abstinence was the best means. All the students agreed that everyone was at risk of HIV if they engaged in risky behaviors. In spite of this good knowledge on HIV, only 112 (25.1%) of the students were aware of a YFCs on campus.
 Conclusion: The high knowledge level of HIV exhibited by the students did not translate to the awareness and utilization of the YFS. There is still so much to be done by health workers and the university committee if the students are to be encouraged to use the services offered at the Centre.

The smart rehabilitation care is to use information and communication technology to apply innovative services on patient care activities. In Taiwan, to solve the over lacking problem of rehabilitation treatment service for long-term care patient in general hospitals, the rehabilitation service delivery method has moved from centralised hospital-based treatment to decentralised community- or home-based rehabilitation. Therefore, community- or home-based long-term care patient has created huge amount of needs for rehabilitation service. To create a more efficient and friendly health care service model, this study uses a hybrid matching algorithm to construct a community and home-based smart rehabilitation service mechanism that allows both therapists and patients to find the most suitable service by setting up the matching parameters. This mechanism records rehabilitation activity, user's feedback, and suggestions from rehabilitation practitioners and can provide information to health units for follow-up treatment recommendation to achieve the goal of optimising long-term care service quality.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE BUSINESS MODEL OF ECOLOGICAL MARKETING OF MOTOR TRANSPORT ENTERPRISES

Objective. The objective of the study is to develop and implement a business model of environmental marketing in the motor transport enterprise. Methods. A set of known scientific methods is applied to achieve the goal of the study. The method of logical synthesis is used to study scientific thought on the environmentalization of society and the use of environmental marketing. The method of constructing schemes and models is used to visualize the results of the study and their schematic representation. The study also uses data from two marketing studies to identify and link between real problems in environmental marketing. Results. The article examines the current state of the ecological state of Ukraine and identifies the main air pollutants - industry and vehicles. The analysis of scientific works shows that the problem of using environmental marketing by motor transport enterprise is insufficiently disclosed and needs further study. Based on marketing research data, priority measures to improve air quality in Ukraine are identified. Environmental issues are increasingly worrying consumers of road transport services and require rethinking of the business model of modern marketing, which today is the philosophy of any business organization. The main goal of environmental marketing is to prevent or reduce environmental pollution through methods of promoting and selling environmentally friendly products or services. This will help to strengthen the competitive position of motor transport enterprise and increase profits by greening production. The article offers a modern business model of environmental marketing. The model is formed of seven basic elements that will help motor transport enterprise in running a modern business. To implement each of the proposed elements of the business model, the mechanism and components of implementation are improved. The developed business model of ecological marketing will lead to the improvement of the ecological condition of the state and help motor transport enterprises to enter the new ecological market of goods and services.

Determinant Factors of Carbon Emission Disclosure in Indonesia

Currently, environmental issues are being discussed in various countries, including Indonesia. Erratic climate change greatly affects global warming worldwide, one of erratic climate change related to carbon emissions disclosures. However, there are still inconclusive findings regarding factors that determine the extent of carbon emissions disclosure. Based on comprehensive research, the objective of this paper is to examine a few selected factors and their relationship to the extent of carbon emissions disclosure. Green strategy, corporate social responsibility disclosure, good corporate governance, the board of directors, institutional ownership, and financial performance were analyzed to seek any significant relationships to the extent of carbon emissions disclosure. To this end, this study used a modified carbon emissions disclosure measurement from previous studies and a Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure measurement using a combined corporate social responsibilitymatrix from three countries. Corporate annual reports from the consumer goods industry for the years 2015–2019 were examined to verify carbon emissions disclosure practices by applying content analysis and multiple regression analysis with a quantitative approach. The findings show that green strategy, Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure, good corporate governance, and financial performance were found to have significant positive influences on the extent of carbon emissions disclosure. Meanwhile, the board of directors and institutional ownership had no significant influence on the extent of carbon emissions disclosure. This research can be used as a basis for developing an innovative strategy in environmental protection that can serve as a guideline for internal company regulations and public regulations to consider environmentally friendly products and services.

An Inverted Detective Thriller: Henry Ries and the Quakers’ Rescue of Stefanie Ries from Nazi Germany, 1939–41 Vivien Green Fryd (bio) During the academic year of 2012–13, I had the opportunity to live in Berlin, Germany as the Terra Visiting Professor at the John F. Kennedy-Institute for North American Studies at the Freie Universität. My desire, or should I say compulsion, to bear witness to and try to piece together and understand my family’s history in the Holocaust and World War II brought me there. I had long thought about writing about the photographs taken by my uncle, Henry Ries (1917–2004), especially his Landing Arrival of the Candy Bombers in the Tempelhof Airport (fig. 1) of the Berlin Airlift, which has become an iconic image in both the U.S. and Germany. But after giving a tour to some of my friends and former students in February of the exhibition, “Art in Berlin, 1880– 1980,” an exhibit that included seven of his photographs in the Berlinische Galerie, I began to look through papers about my mother’s rescue from Nazi Germany. My brother, Kenneth Martin Green, and his daughter had gathered the material from the American Friends Service Committee’s (AFSC) archives, which at that time was located in the Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies in Philadelphia: correspondence about my uncle’s and the Quaker’s frustrating two-and-a-half-year attempt to get my mother, Stefanie Ries, out of Berlin. That year, twelve years after I had received those letters, I read them and felt as though I was reading a thriller with its dramatic rescue, its puzzles, its suspense, its villains, heroes, and heroines. Of course, I knew the outcome, my mother did escape, but the suspense was inverted. I knew neither the plot nor all the characters, and as with any mystery, I worked to unpack the many factors that resulted in my mother’s [End Page 32] safe passage to the U.S. in March 1941—six months before a worker for the AFSC reported that “emigration from Germany and German-controlled areas was largely choked off.”1 I knew the villains were the Nazis; the heroes the Quakers, my mother’s nanny, Maria Schönfeld (fondly referred to as Fräuchen), and my uncle; and the victim my mother. To my surprise as I read through the correspondence, I found a protagonist I had not much considered before—the U.S. State Department—the role of which became more troubling the more I dug beneath the surface. I learned that the person in the State Department responsible for impeding my mother’s escape from Nazi Germany, an individual whom I now consider a villain, was Avra Milvin Warren, Chief of the Visa Division. To my dismay and disappointment, I realized that not just Warren, but also others in the administration of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt did their best to obstruct my mother’s rescue and that of many others. And I learned about three additional heroes—Senator John A. Danaher (CT), Jacob Weiss from New York City, and Benjamin Gross from Rockland County, New York. Many scholars have examined those in the U.S. State Department under President Roosevelt’s administration who expressed antisemitism in their diaries, and the ways in which it influenced their immigration policies.2 Surprisingly, less has been written about the AFSC Refugee Section, especially its work on behalf of saving children from Central Europe before and during World War II.3 The unpublished archival material from the Friends’ library about my mother’s situation not only adds more information about the life of her to-be-acclaimed photojournalist brother, Henry Ries, but also about the role Quakers actively played in saving her life as well as others. They are the central protagonists in this story: my uncle, born Heinz Ries, later known as the New York Times photojournalist Henry Ries...

ЗЕЛЕНИЙ БАНКІНГ В УМОВАХ ДІДЖИТАЛІЗАЦІЇ

The article considers environmentally responsible green banking activity as a direction of sustainable development of the banking sector in the context of digitalization of the Ukrainian economy. The article reveals the content of the concept of green banking and sustainable development, defines the features of implementing sustainable development strategies in banking institutions. In particular, the main Green Environmental Services implemented by commercial banks in Ukraine are considered. Four stages on the way to the sustainability of financial activities of banking institutions have been identified. The first stage is the protective phase of basic environmental risk management, when broader sustainability issues are ignored. The second is the reactive phase, where more systematic management of environmental and social risk is carried out. The third more active or offensive phase, in which strategic environmental and social risk management is carried out and even. The Ultimate banking sustainability phase, where the triple approach (people, planet and prosperity) is integrated into the bank’s core business strategy and is no longer limited to risk avoidance, but is now seen as a potential part of every type of financial risk management and decisionmaking processes. To determine the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, a SWOT analysis of the introduction of green banking in banking institutions of Ukraine in the context of digitalization was conducted. Three main components of the green banking strategy in Ukrainian banking institutions have been identified. These include: managing environmental risks, creating a so-called Green Office, developing and promoting environmentally friendly services and products through digitalization of the economy. A detailed review of Green Environmental Services, which can be implementation for the transition to environmental friendliness in the banking sector. The role of the banking sector in the development of green banking in the context of digitalization is determined. It is proved that green banking in this financial world is a new development and an active way to achieve sustainability in the future. Banks in Ukraine are quite far behind their counterparts in the developed economy. But banks that try to clarify the green color and use green financing tools in their activities have chances.

Building Standardized and Secure Mobile Health Services Based on Social Media

Mobile devices and social media have been used to create empowering healthcare services. However, privacy and security concerns remain. Furthermore, the integration of interoperability biomedical standards is a strategic feature. Thus, the objective of this paper is to build enhanced healthcare services by merging all these components. Methodologically, the current mobile health telemonitoring architectures and their limitations are described, leading to the identification of new potentialities for a novel architecture. As a result, a standardized, secure/private, social-media-based mobile health architecture has been proposed and discussed. Additionally, a technical proof-of-concept (two Android applications) has been developed by selecting a social media (Twitter), a security envelope (open Pretty Good Privacy (openPGP)), a standard (Health Level 7 (HL7)) and an information-embedding algorithm (modifying the transparency channel, with two versions). The tests performed included a small-scale and a boundary scenario. For the former, two sizes of images were tested; for the latter, the two versions of the embedding algorithm were tested. The results show that the system is fast enough (less than 1 s) for most mHealth telemonitoring services. The architecture provides users with friendly (images shared via social media), straightforward (fast and inexpensive), secure/private and interoperable mHealth services.
