Novel cost-effective passive intermodulation measurement technique using a single power amplifier

The growing number of cellular devices and the introduction of high-speed data affect the network performance of mobile communication systems. Evaluation of passive intermodulation (PIM) phenomenon in the field of microwaves and mobile communications improve system performance. Typically, the PIM of the device-under-test (DUT) is measured using a set-up that involves two power amplifiers (PA), making it an expensive measurement set-up. This research aims to make PIM measurements cost-effective by using a single PA. Reflected (RFL) PIM distortion measured for two different DUTs, i.e., circulator and a microstrip (MS) line containing radio frequency interference (RFI) shielding gasket, using the presented and standard techniques. The presented PIM analyzer has a residue PIM of -104.5dBm. Comparison and error analysis suggested that the presented single PA method is feasible for DUTs having PIM between -60 and -94.5dBm at 43dBm input power. The residual PIM of the presented analyzer is high compared to the standard PIM analyzers; it is investigated that IM generated by the PA is the leading cause of this higher residual PIM product (RPIM). The proposed method will reduce overall system cost and size; it will also improve the battery efficiency of portable and desktop PIM analyzers.

Microwave Sintering and Microwave Dielectric Properties of (1-x)Ca0.61La0.26TiO3-xNd(Mg0.5Ti0.5)O3 Ceramics.

The (1–x)Ca0.61La0.26TiO3-xNd(Mg0.5Ti0.5)O3 [(1–x)CLT-xNMT, x = 0.35~0.60] ceramics were prepared via microwave sintering. The effects of sintering temperature and composition on the phase formation, microstructure, and microwave dielectric properties were investigated. The results show that the microwave sintering process requires a lower sintering temperature and shorter sintering time of (1–x)CLT-xNMT ceramics than conventional heating methods. All of the (1–x)CLT-xNMT ceramics possess a single perovskite structure. With the increase of x, the dielectric constant (ε) shows a downward trend; the quality factor (Qf) drops first and then rises significantly; the resonance frequency temperature coefficient (τf) keeps decreasing. With excellent microwave dielectric properties (ε = 51.3, Qf = 13,852 GHz, τf = −1.9 × 10−6/°C), the 0.65CLT-0.35NMT ceramic can be applied to the field of mobile communications.

EMMM: Energy-efficient mobility management model for context-aware transactions over mobile communication

The rapid advancements in wireless technology and enhanced computing power of handheld devices, enable the users to perform transactions anywhere, anytime during roaming. Carrying out ongoing transactions during roaming is a crucial field for research in the field of mobile communication. In order to ensure a high quality of service (QoS), an energy-efficient handover process is essential for accomplishing the ongoing transaction. The performance of mobile communication is mainly deteriorated by the roaming and low battery power requirement of mobile host. Due to limited channel availability, most of the handover requests are failed. Energy-efficient enhanced mobility management queuing model is proposed by combining two existing schemes GE/GE/C/N/FCFS and scheme GE/GE/C/N/PR to strengthen the performance. In this research, EMMM scales down the dropping rate of handover transaction request (HTR) and new transaction request (NTR).The proposed model has achieved the enhancement of channel utilization along with the reduction in handover failure and low drop and blocking rate of HTR and NTR, respectively.

Vliv prefixace na slovesnou vazbu v češtině (na materiálu nových sloves z oblasti internetových a mobilních technologií)

W niniejszym artykule omówiono zmiany rekcji czasowników spowodowane przedrostkami czasowników bazowych. Wiadomo, że czasowniki w wyniku użycia przedrostka uzyskują rząd biernika. Jest jednak kilka przypadków, w których nie obserwuje się tranzytywizacji czasownika, np. gdy czasownik poprzedzony jest przedrostkiem po- i za- w znaczeniu ograniczającym. Czasowniki o znaczeniu przestrzennym (a także czasowniki wyrażające ruch metaforyczny) zwykle przy prefiksacji nie są tranzytywne. Przedmiotem przedstawionej analizy jest dziewięć gniazd słowotwórczych z zakresu technologii internetowych i mobilnych oraz komunikacji. Analiza wykazała, że większość czasowników z przedrostkiem jest tranzytywna. Jednak czasowniki z prefiksami do- (co oznacza ‘zakończenie czynności – na dłuższy okres lub na stałe’), po- i za- (oba w znaczeniu ograniczającym) zwykle nie są przechodnie, nawet jeśli są derywowane od przechodnich czasowników. Ruch metaforyczny jest zwykle wyrażany przez konstrukcję „przedrostek-V se [k čemu / z čeho itd.]”, w której pozycja biernika jest blokowana przez morfem se.
 AbstraktTento článek se zabývá změnami slovesné vazby způsobenými prefixací základového slovesa. Je známo, že vlivem prefixace se slovesná vazba zpravidla mění ve prospěch akuzativní vazby. Existuje však několik případů, kdy k tranzitivizaci slovesa nedochází, např. při odvozování pomocí prefixů po- a za- v delimitativním významu.Také slovesa s prostorovým významem (a slovesa vyjadřující metaforický pohyb) se při prefixaci obvykle netranzitivizují. Předmětem analýzy je devět slovotvorných hnízd z oblasti internetových a mobilních technologií a komunikace. Analýza ukázala, že většina prefigovaných derivátů je tranzitivních. Slovesa s prefixem do- (ve významu ‘ukončit činnost (na delší dobu nebo definitivně)‘), po- a za- (oba v delimitativním významu) však většinou tranzitivní nejsou, i když jsou odvozena z tranzitivních základových sloves. Metaforický pohyb je typicky vyjadřován pomocí konstrukce ‘prefix-V se [k čemu/z čeho apod.]’, u níž je akuzativní pozice blokována formantem se.

Deep Learning Based Successive Interference Cancellation Scheme in Nonorthogonal Multiple Access Downlink Network

In this paper, a deep learning-based successive interference cancellation (SIC) scheme for use in nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communication systems is investigated. NOMA has become a notable technique in the field of mobile wireless communication because of its capacity to overcome orthogonality, unlike a conventional orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) communication system. In NOMA communication systems, SIC is one of the decoding schemes applied at receivers for downlink NOMA transmissions. In this paper, a convolutional neural network (CNN)-based SIC scheme is proposed to improve performance of the single base station and multiuser NOMA scheme. In contrast to existing SIC schemes, the proposed CNN-based SIC scheme can effectively mitigate losses resulting from imperfections of the SIC. The simulation results indicate that the CNN-based SIC method can successfully relieve conventional SIC impairments and achieve good detection performance. Consequently, a CNN-based SIC scheme can be considered as a potential technique for use in NOMA detection schemes.

Preface

5G has been a hot and heated topic all the time. In order to provide a forum for experts and scholars to share and discuss the latest research on 5G, Guangzhou Association for Science and Technology, Guangzhou Internet Society, Guangzhou Computer Society, and AEIC Academic Exchange Information Centre co-organized 2020 International Conference on 5G Mobile Communication and Information Science(MCIS-5G 2020), which was successfully held on June 26, 2020. In light of the significant influence of COVID-19 and the implementation of worldwide travel restriction, MCIS-5G 2020 conducted the form of virtual conference to avoid physical personnel gatherings but to continue to bring together all scholars even when they are in different cities. MCIS-5G 2020 thus provided a flexible platform for academics and practitioners in the field of 5G Mobile Communication and Information Science to disseminate the state-of-the-art research and enhance the collaboration between each other.We are greatly honored to have invited Prof. Bingbing Fan from South China Normal University to serve as our Conference Chair, whose interested research areas lay in Teaching and development of big data management and application, cloud computing, network computing and security. The rest of the committee was composed of nearly thirty privileged scholars from different renowned universities and institutes around the globe.The conference model consists of three sessions, including oral presentations, keynote speeches, and online Q&A discussion. In the session of oral presentations, we invited a bunch of authors to briefly present their main themes and abstracts of the excellent papers, which were selected from the high-quality submissions to this conference. Each author was given 5-10 minute to present. Then in the keynote speeches, three keynote speakers were allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches. Our beloved Conference Chair, Prof. Bingbing Fan was also asked to present his latest research. In addition, we had Prof. Zhihui Zhan, representing South China University of Technology, to give his talk on Intelligent computing. The last speaker, Prof. Zheng Gong from South China Normal University, whose research areas include Cryptographic algorithms, mobile Internet, Internet of things, also shared his marvelous presentation to all audience. Both the oral presentations and keynote speeches were conducted via Zoom, the popular online collaboration tool. Lastly, as the presentations triggered various questions and discussion, we created a WeChat group, the instant communication application, to add all participants to do Q&A, which lasted for about 30-45 minutes. The online platform enabled all participants to join this grand academic event from their own home.In order to vividly present the outcome of this conference, we compiled the proceedings of MCIS-5G 2020, which features the following topics but are not limited to: Mobile communication, 5G technology and standards, Mobile Internet applications, Cloud computing and information science, Computer technology and information science, Computers and blockchain technology, and other related topics. We ensure all the papers have been through rigorous review and process to meet the requirements of International publication standard.In the end, we would like to sincerely thank the Conference Chair, the distinguished keynote speakers, as well as all the participants. Development of Method of Moment Based Programme to Analyze Cross Dipole Frequency Selective Surface and its Verification with Measured Results

Theoretical analysis of frequency selective surface comprising of cross dipole elements has been presented in this paper. Algorithm for theoretical analysis based on method of moment has been implemented by MATLAB programming. Theoretical, simulated and experimental results are compared. Simulated result is obtained by ANSOFT designer version 2.2 software. Experimental result is obtained by standard microwave test bench. Good parity in the results is observed. The presented FSS Structure has relevance in the field of mobile and satellite communication.

A CQI Based Novel Shared Channel Downlink Scheduler for LTE Networks

Long Terrn Evolution (LTE) can be called as the new generation of High Speed Cellular Communication. LTE networks serves as back bone for 4G networks delivering high data transmission speeds and support for Quality of Service (QoS). It also ensures the availability of high speed connection, HD Calling, more security and extended support for streaming of HD multimedia content which includes audio and video content. With this much development in the field of mobile communication, another term was coined QoE (Quality of experience) which refers to the overall degree of acceptability of the multimedia content as perceived by the end users. In this paper we introduce a CQI based algorithm to improve the overall QoE while it is being applied on downlink scheduling. Simulation runs proves that CQI has better results as compared to other algorithms based upon parameters such as throughput, SnR and fairness.

Strategic Study on the Development of Advanced Semiconductor Materials and Auxiliary Materials in China

The rapid development of the third-generation semiconductor materials represented by SiC and GaN offers China a strategic opportunity to realize the independent control over its advanced semiconductor materials and auxiliary materials sector and to ensure the security of relevant industrial systems. In this paper, we analyze the development status of semiconductor materials and auxiliary materials in China and abroad, propose the idea of systematic, upstream–downstream coordinated, and sustainable development, and set the development goals for these materials by 2025 and 2035. To promote the development of advanced semiconductor materials and auxiliary materials in China, we suggest the establishment of a project for realizing independent control over key material and equipment of integrated circuit; a platform that provides integrated tests for SiC and GaN semiconductor materials, auxiliary materials, processes, and equipment; and application demonstration projects for advanced semiconductor materials in the fifth-generation mobile communication, energy internet, and new energy vehicle fields. Demand analysis regarding these projects is conducted and specific project objectives and tasks are proposed correspondingly. To promote the innovative development of the semiconductor industry, China should adhere to government guidance to facilitate the integration of domestic advantageous resources, grasp the “More Than Moore” opportunity of to lay out the next-generation integrated circuit technologies, and construct an innovation chain to further improve the innovation ecology.

An Advanced Optimization Protocol for Cross Layer Routing in MANET

Through advancements in communication techniques, there have been significant advances in information technology. Information exchange is captive from infrastructure-based to infrastructure-free techniques. Development in wireless technology and portable computing systems has brought interest in the mobile communication field. The increasing flexibility of people around the network has generated demand for mobile networks such as MANET that can be deployed rapidly and without infrastructure. When users of MANET expect effective communication, seamless reliability is currently crucial across heterogeneous mobile wireless systems. The main challenges in adhoc networks are regular topology changes due to flexibility and limited battery capacity for mobile devices. Depletion of the power source may cause early links in the network to be unavailable. Often, due to frequent breaks in path and affects the performance adversely needed for applications as well as node flexibility. This research paper aims to test and suggest a cross-layer interaction model between transport layer, routing layer, data link layer, and physical layer with power-efficient routing intentions. Using the proposed link prediction model, the article modified the incorporated AODV routing protocol by the link prediction algorithm to predict the accessibility time and even before the connection breaks. The proposed algorithm increases the service quality of the network and NS2 simulator checked the model. The simulation results indicate that the performance of the AODV routing algorithm is much more effective than the current algorithm.

Demand forecasting for the 5G service market considering consumer preference and purchase delay behavior

Unlike previous mobile communications technologies that centered on service subscribers, 5G mobile communication (5G) is expected to converge with various industry fields such as transportation, manufacturing, and construction, thereby stimulating innovation and generating significant ripple effects. At a time when 5G commercialization is incipient, it is necessary to understand mobile communication service users who are likely to be important initial users for the creation and diffusion of 5G services. The current study analyzed consumer preference for 5G services based on conjoint survey data and a mixed logit model, and we conducted a market simulation based on the estimation results to determine the impact of 5G technology development on the 5G market, specifically regarding the mobile communication fields. In addition, this study derived consumer purchase delay factors for 5G services using an ordered logit model. The results show that consumers delay the adoption of 5G services mainly because of the cost and lack of need. By considering the consumer purchase delay, it is estimated that the acceptance rate of 5G services by consumers will decrease by more than 50%; this is because it is hard to conclude a purchase delay of more than one year leads to an actual purchase. The results of this study suggest important strategic implications that are likely to reduce the purchase delay of consumers, improve the actual adoption rate, and increase the diffusion of 5G services.

An Energy Aware Strategy for Distributed Cache Discovery with Stale Page Reduction

With the immense growth in the field of mobile communication, a good number of complex applications are now available for the mobile devices. The complex applications are made available to comply with the client demand for the higher performing and higher capable applications, which can be accessible from any locations and any devices. Thus, the application developers have attempted to make highly scaled applications to be deployed on mobile communication devices. The larger applications have higher demand for memory and processing capabilities. Thus, making the similar infrastructure available on the mobile computing environments was always a challenge. Nonetheless, with the availability of distributed computing architecture, the bottleneck for the computing capabilities for these complex applications can be handled. Nonetheless, the memory capabilities for the applications must be addressed more sophisticated manner using distribution of the memory and sharing of the data. Henceforth, distributed caching came under existence.A conveyed cache is an augmentation of the customary idea of cache utilized in a solitary district. A conveyed cache may traverse various servers with the goal that it can develop in size and in value-based limit. It is for the most part used to store application information living in database and web session information.One of the most popular technique for making the cache available is to perform cache discovery operations in the network. A number of parallel research attempts are made to identify the accurate place in the network to create or build the distributed cache network.However, the most of the parallel research attempts are criticised for considering single dimensions for cache discovery as few of the work focuses on distance, few of the work focuses on density and some of the works focuses on page replacement policies applicable on mobile computing environments as MANETs or WSN. Henceforth, the demand of the research is to consider multiple parameters for cache discovery and build a framework to automatically define the cache distribution. Hence, this work proposes a novel architecture or framework to detect the cache distribution based on distance, stale page reduction mechanism and finally the energy optimization. The outcome of the research is to automate the recommendation of cache discovery and increase the network life time by 90% compared to the existing methods for cache discovery. In order to handle the complex processing of the proposed algorithms, this work deploys machine learning methods to reduce the time complexity.

Measuring the appeal of mobility-augmented reality games, based on the innovative models of interaction: a case study

This study presents the issues why gamers prefer mobility-augmented reality games to other types of game and what specific characteristics cause them to invest a large amount of their time on tireless game-play. Furthermore, the appeal of mobility-augmented reality games was studied to solve the above mentioned issues. Then, how human–computer interaction based on mobility-augmented reality games was promoted to create a new marketing mode was explored. Then, Pokémon GO, as the worldwide major mobility-augmented reality game, was selected as the research target in this study. The researcher interviewed 9 experts, collected 235 Knasei words from 33 articles, and surveyed 335 gamers through a questionnaire to collect the data about users’ preferences. A preference-based study was believed to disclose the motivated reasons for the appeal of mobility-augmented reality games. The researcher analyzed the gathered Kansei concepts and questionnaires using the two-stage procedures, including evaluation grid method (EGM) and Quantification Theory Type I. During the first stage the hierarchy of the relationship among the types of appeal factors, the reasons for users’ preferences, and the explicit design characteristics of Pokémon GO present the semantic structure of appeal and were determined using EGM through the accumulation of the review of articles and the interviews of experts. During the second stage the strongest two original evaluation items of Pokémon GO are determined as “social interaction” and “scenario interaction” based on the statistical analysis of Quantification Theory Type I, and their corresponding “upper-level” and “lower-level” considerations are proved to have influence on them. Finally, the paper found that the popularity of Pokémon GO can be ascribed to the design of the innovative models of game interaction, which targets the psychological preferences of gamers. This means that the interaction model between a customer and an enterprise can be developed outside the box and a new type of marketing can be formed. The study proved that the innovative models of interaction successfully drove gamers’ motivations to play Pokémon GO. Designers and researchers of mobility-augmented reality games can absorb important information through this study. This study enriches the field of mobile communication, online marketing, and human–computer interaction in cyberspace.

Analysis of propagation characteristics of AlN/diamond/Si layered SAW resonator

Surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices have attracted much attention in the field of mobile communication, such as filters and duplexers. With the upgrading of mobile networks, the requirements for the working frequency of SAW devices are gradually increasing. Traditional single-layer piezoelectric SAW devices can not meet the requirements of today’s performance. However, a new type of layered structure not only meets various performance requirements, but also provides a new direction for the development of SAW devices. In this paper, a layered structure of AlN/diamond/Si SAW resonator is designed. A two-dimensional unit structure model is established. Modal analysis and admittance characteristic analysis are carried out. The optimal design structure is obtained by choosing form the thickness of different electrodes and piezoelectric layers. Following this, the transient analysis of the two-dimensional complete resonator structure is carried out. Next, the propagation characteristics are obtained, and finally the input and output signals are compared. Compared with the single piezoelectric layer structure, the phase velocity and electromechanical coupling coefficient are increased by 32.2% and 49.6% respectively. The work in this paper lays a good foundation for the fabrication of high frequency layered SAW resonators above GHz.

Quality management in optimizing software product profile

The article investigates the quality of a software product sold by “Svyazcom Ltd.”, a developer in the field of mobile communications and Internet, and created at various times by several programmers. It is shown that the application of the computer analysis permits to verify 86 indicators relevant to the quality parameters in the shell CppDepend, which meets the requirements of the assigned task most adequately. The analysis resulted in an optimized product profile. Proposals are presented for updating the quality management mechanisms in an innovative IT company taking into account the obtained values of quality parameters.

Facial proximity detection based on inaudible noise for mobile authentication

Enterprise-class mobile devices find widespread use in the factories, warehouses, hospitals. A complement of audio communication features enables workers to maximize their productivity and improve customer service. We demonstrate that acoustic interaction of inaudible noise delivered by a mobile device with nearby physical objects has a potential for real-time proximity detection and facial recognition. The mobile device was mounted near the head and torso simulator inside the listening room. The device receiver produced low level inaudible equalized above 15 kHz noise signal, which was recorded by one of the device’s microphone. The received signal was measured at different device orientations and distances relative to the simulator’s artificial ear. The measurements revealed good correlation between received signal power spectral density and distance to artificial ear. Positive correlation with artificial ear shape was also observed.
