Exploration and Practice of Innovative and Entrepreneurial Talent Training Model in Medical Colleges under the Background of “New Medicine”

Innovation and entrepreneurship education has become one of the important directions of higher education reform, but innovation and entrepreneurship education in medical colleges generally lags behind other discipline universities or comprehensive universities. Actively exploring the training mode of innovation and entrepreneurship talents is of great significance for cultivating innovative medical talents needed by the country and society. At present, innovation and entrepreneurship education in higher medical colleges is facing many challenges, the most important of which include the lack of concept in innovation and entrepreneurship education, medical students’ weak awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship, and poor construction of innovation and entrepreneurship teaching staff. To address these challenges, we will introduce incentive measures for innovation and entrepreneurship education at the college level, and improve the guarantee and incentive mechanisms for innovation and entrepreneurship education; create an “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Platform” for teachers and students to exchange ideas on innovation and entrepreneurship; start building a high-quality team of innovation and entrepreneurship teachers, promote the continuous improvement of the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and ensure the quality of medical talent training.

Entrepreneurial Intentions: Entrepreneurship Education Programs, Cognitive Motivational Factors of Planned Behavior, and Business Incubation Centers

Previous studies have explored the factors influencing entrepreneurial intentions (EIs), primarily focusing on personality traits and various psychological aspects. This study, however, investigates external factors, such as entrepreneurship education programs (EEPs), cognitive motivational factors associated with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), and the impact of business incubation centers (BICs), as moderators of EIs. The research involved 458 respondents from diverse higher education institutions in Asia. Our findings indicate that EEPs and BICs at universities positively and significantly affect students’ EIs. Additionally, the cognitive factors linked to TPB demonstrate a positive and significant direct effect on EIs while also acting as mediators between EEPs and EIs. These findings underscore the importance of adopting a multilevel perspective in designing and implementing EEPs and BICs to better comprehend the determinants of EIs. Our study provides valuable insights for university administrators, policymakers, and entrepreneurship instructors in developing countries to improve the university entrepreneurial ecosystem by creating cohesive programs and supportive institutions. Moreover, the results can serve as encouragement for individuals embarking on an entrepreneurial journey.

Towards the Adoption of A Novel More Integral Model for Teaching Entrepreneurship in Higher Education Institutions

The “Radiography of the Teaching of University Entrepreneurship in Mexico” is situated within the context of the necessity to comprehend and enhance the pedagogical practices associated with entrepreneurship in Mexican universities. This context encompasses a global examination of entrepreneurship and its prevailing trends, as well as a detailed analysis of the entrepreneurial landscape in Mexico. The principal objective of this study is to conduct a comprehensive examination of the pedagogical approaches employed in higher education institutions (HEIs) in Mexico with regard to the teaching of entrepreneurship. The objective is to establish a unified approach to entrepreneurship teaching, identify the most effective pedagogical tools for fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, and disseminate the requisite technical knowledge among educators to facilitate their integration into the classroom. The methodology employed begins with a review of secondary sources to provide a detailed overview of the global and Mexican entrepreneurship landscapes, as well as the current state of entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions (HEIs). In conclusion, the Delphi technique is employed to conduct interviews with experts directly involved in the teaching of entrepreneurship in various HEIs, with the objective of collecting and synthesizing their opinions on the subject matter. The research yielded a “Teaching Model of Entrepreneurship in the University,” which is based on the identified approaches, models, and methodologies. The teacher plays a pivotal role in the teaching of entrepreneurship in higher education institutions (HEIs). The findings indicate that in Mexico, the probability of success or opportunity for entrepreneurs is significantly influenced by the material conditions of the individual, which are shaped by their social stratum and geographical location. Furthermore, data indicates that all HEIs endeavor to impart instruction on entrepreneurship. However, due to significant disparities between private and public institutions, smaller or more remote ones may lack the capacity and resources to do so effectively. Therefore, this results in heterogeneity in the teaching of entrepreneurship, which could condition the chances of success for those wishing to become entrepreneurs. Consequently, the necessity was identified for all entrepreneurship teachers in HEIs in Mexico to be able to achieve a robust and comprehensive process of teaching entrepreneurship, whereby students can develop their entrepreneurial skills at an early stage, as well as the creation of companies at a later stage.

SKILLS LABORATORY APPROACHES AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN RWANDA A CASE OF NYAGATARE DISTRICT

The need for entrepreneurial skills impacting the quality of teaching and learning entrepreneurship all over the world. More emphasize have been made in teaching entrepreneurship but entrepreneurial outcome for graduate in upper secondary is still critically. The study aimed to investigate the effect of skills laboratory approaches on learning achievement in entrepreneurship in upper secondary school of Rwanda. Study utilized descriptive research. The study included a total population of 3661 individual consisting of 49 deputy head teachers in charge of studies, 102 entrepreneurship teachers and 3510 upper secondary students from upper secondary schools in Nyagatare district, the researcher determined the sample size of 361 respondents using Yamane formula. structuring questionnaire, interview and observation are employed as tools of data collection. The result indicated that 86% strongly agreed that skills laboratory boast learners engagement and confidence in activity presentation, 87.9% strongly agreed that project based assessment enable learners creation of project in student business clubs, 85.9% of respondents strongly agreed that Students business club helps learners to demonstrate entrepreneurship knowledge or skills learnt in real life, 92.2% strongly agreed that demonstration of skills lab improve pitching skills and creativity of project. Results revealed thatskills laboratory approach have positive significance to learners performance since the p value is less than 0.005 underpinning the positive relationship between skills laboratory and entrepreneurship learning achievement.The study recommends thatThe study recommends learners to become actively engaged in group discussion, presentation so that improve learners performance that result in interaction and improve their entrepreneurial skills and entrepreneurship achievement rather than memorizing for purpose of getting marks.entrepreneurship teachers to use skills laboratory approaches in teaching entrepreneurship lesson so as to help learners to solve community problem. Constructing a digital transformation framework in entrepreneurship education: Based on systematic literature review and theory triangulation

Entrepreneurship education plays a crucial role in improving college students' entrepreneurial skills. With the significant momentum gained by digital entrepreneurship, there is an urgent need for digital transformation in entrepreneurship education. However, entrepreneurship education digital transformation (EEDT) is developing in a rapid but fragmented manner, which requires more systematic guidance. This study aims to assess the current research themes and formulate a framework for entrepreneurship education digital transformation. The research employs a systematic literature review and a theory triangulation method. According to the review’s outcome, which focused on 56 articles published between 2018 and 2023, the researcher constructed a conceptual framework for entrepreneurship education digital transformation. To test the construct validity of the framework, the researcher modified it twice through theory triangulation, following the guidelines of the entrepreneurship education ecosystem theory and the education digital transformation framework. This study offers recommendations for research and practice in digital transformation of entrepreneurship education, encompassing a holistic strategy, new educational approaches, novel curriculum designs, and the enhancement of digital literacy among entrepreneurship teachers.

A vocational education and training subject teacher for fostering students' entrepreneurial skills—The development of a conceptual model

AbstractIn the future, a significant portion of the workforce is expected to engage in self‐employment or pursue part‐time entrepreneurial endeavours, especially in vocational education and training (VET) fields where entrepreneurship serves as a predominant avenue of employment. The primary goal of this article is to investigate the interconnectedness of a teacher's autonomy, agency, and guiding behaviour and to understand their relevance to the teacher's pedagogical decisions and ability to effectively guide students toward entrepreneurship. To achieve this objective, semistructured interviews were conducted with eight VET subject teachers, employing predetermined concept definitions derived from prior research. Analysis of the interviews revealed a connection between these concepts, highlighting their influence on the pedagogical decisions made by VET teachers. However, minor variations were observed across diverse fields of VET. The study underscores the significance of autonomy, decision‐making capabilities and teacher agency in fostering students' entrepreneurial skills. It emphasises that autonomy alone is insufficient, and various factors either facilitate or hinder the promotion of entrepreneurship. This article contributes to entrepreneurship education research in two ways. First, it provides new information about the VET subject teacher as a promoter of students' entrepreneurial skills. Second, by presenting a theoretical model that helps to understand the factors influencing teachers' actions. The model, being novel, can be utilised to understand how VET teachers utilise autonomy and express agency in their work. Additionally, the research results are considered from an international perspective. The discourse revolves around the conceptual model, by exploring the reasons behind it, and considering subject teachers' professional identity as entrepreneurship teachers.

The Ability of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Teachers in GuangXi Universities

Innovation and entrepreneurship education (hereinafter referred to as innovation and entrepreneurship education) is an advanced and suitable educational concept and teaching model for social development. It is a positive response to the call of the Ministry of Education of China to build an innovative country, an innovation in the teaching methods of higher education, a green channel for cultivating innovative talents, and a practice of using entrepreneurship to drive employment and improve the employment rate of college students (fanfang 2019). As carriers of innovation and entrepreneurship education, universities should determine clear educational connotations in the process of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship education: based on cultivating the innovative spirit, entrepreneurial consciousness, and entrepreneurial ability of college students; Establishing specific educational goals: focusing on cultivating innovative and innovative talents; Deeply confirm and respond to the national development strategy based on the field of education management. The performance evaluation of innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities, as an important behavior to standardize and improve the development level of innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities, can provide a scientific and reasonable direction for optimizing innovation and entrepreneurship education in universities.

The effectiveness of case method in developing intrapreneurship among business students

Intrapreneurship skill has considered as the alternative learning outcomes of entrepreneurship education. However, entrepreneurship teachers need a complex learning program to develop intrapreneurship among business students. At the same time, The Ministry of Education and Culture of The Republic of Indonesia recommends university teachers implement case methods to deliver complex learning environments and build critical skills among students. Therefore, this study aims to i) examine the effect of micro small medium enterprise (MSME) cases on the intrapreneurship of business students, ii) investigate the influence of MSME cases on flow experience in entrepreneurship education and iii) investigate the effect of flow experience during entrepreneurship education on intrapreneurship skill. We used field experiments on entrepreneurship and digital business student in business development courses. The result indicates that the case method effectively developed student intrapreneurship skill and flow experience during the course positively impacting student intrapreneurship skill.

Research on the Support System of Entrepreneurship Education in Colleges and Universities based on the Dual Subject Development of Teachers and Students

In the context of the new era, education for innovation and entrepreneurship is an important intellectual support for the high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship. The high-quality development of entrepreneurship education needs important support from the entrepreneurship education support system, while the establishment of a support system for entrepreneurship education is also an important driving force for the training of talent and the development of entrepreneurship teachers. However, the entrepreneurship support system for university students has not yet been perfected and is still in the phase of theoretical and practical exploration. Therefore, this article analyses, based on ecosystem theory and collaborative innovation theory, the existence of conceptual cognitive delay, low synergy efficiency and insufficient support in support systems for entrepreneurship education in universities from the perspective of teachers and students; We try to put forward a support system for entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities based on the development of dual subjects of teachers and students, and analyze its operation mechanism from the micro-medium-appearance level, and promote the construction of entrepreneurship teachers and the high-quality development of entrepreneurial talents through the three major support modules of information flow, resource sharing, and cultivation synergies, and the six support elements of optimization of the teacher structure, improvement of the curriculum system, orientation of government evaluation, guarantee of policy making, social and cultural support, and support of the resource platform. entrepreneurship teachers and entrepreneurial talents.

The Influence of School Principal Management Competence on Management Implementation Through Entrepreneurship Teacher Professionalism as a Moderator Variable

Maintaining the institution's viability requires making human resources more competitive. Therefore, every educational institution in every country is required to improve the quality of education. Principals of schools and human resources must use strategic management to deliver high-quality education. Implementing School-Based Management (SBM) is a very appropriate way to enhance the caliber of education. By using the expertise of entrepreneurial teachers, this study seeks to ascertain how school principal management competency affects SBM. in vocational schools throughout Mojokerto Regency and City. Quantitative research employing a descriptive survey technique was used to process this study. The sample used in this research was vocational school entrepreneurship teachers in Mojokerto Regency and City, totaling 106 respondents. The study's findings indicate that there is a strong correlation between the management competence of school principals on the implementation of school-based management through the professionalism of entrepreneurial teachers

Validation of a Strategic Intervention Material through Localization for Entrepreneurship Teachers

The primary goal of this paper is to verify a Strategic Intervention Material for Entrepreneurship Teachers Using Localization at Angono National High School for the school year 2022-2023.Utilizing descriptive correlational research and modifying Abad’s (2022) research instrument the ten (10) respondents found out that localized material as with high integrity, highly localized, and highly effective. Moreover, with regard to the assessment done by the two group of respondents, it indicated that both does not have significant relation with each other. From a catena of studies on localization, this fortifies that localization when planned and executed properly will provide positive results.

Entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial communities in India: does gender really play a role?

PurposeUsing the extant literature review, this paper aims to explore the relationship between gender, entrepreneurial education (EE) and entrepreneurial intention (EI) in the Indian context, which the authors believe is a novel approach to this research stream. The authors also use career preparedness as a control variable to examine this relationship.Design/methodology/approachData were collected from 368 undergraduate students across four Indian universities (one exclusively for female students) through a standard structured questionnaire. Additionally, rather than examining, EI has been treated as a monolithic construct; however, the authors conceptualize it as comprising three different dimensions that include grand vision and risk-taking ability; opportunity exploitation; and ability to persevere. An additional analysis was conducted for the students who reported higher scores for “being well prepared for their careers” through their institutes’ academic programs and communities of entrepreneurs. The authors also interviewed some entrepreneurship instructors, who confirmed the present findings through their observations.FindingsThe findings indicate that, essentially, there is a positive relationship between EE and EI. The authors find that male students scored higher for the first two dimensions of EI but not the third. Additionally, the authors used career preparedness as a control variable for additional analysis. The authors observed that students with higher “career preparedness” reported a positive relationship between EE and EI, independent of gender, for all three dimensions of EI. Thus, it may be assumed that if a community of entrepreneurs needs to be developed in India, a focus on career preparedness is critical.Research limitations/implicationsFirst, given that the present survey reflected a single moment in linking EE to EI (which may be considered a limitation of the study), future researchers might focus on a longitudinal approach. Second, all the respondents are attending urban universities (and, as such, very likely belong to the upper middle class of Indian society). The financial divide between urban and rural India is well known; as such, the results might be different if the sample was drawn from rural and poor India.Originality/valueThe salience/value of this study lies in the conceptualization of EI comprising three sub-constructs to understand the impact of formal EE (with three sub-constructs) on EI. The focus on career preparedness for a female student is a new direction of inquiry with respect to entrepreneurial intention.

The impact of institutional management on teacher entrepreneurship competency: The mediating role of entrepreneurial behaviour

Although COVID-19 is far away, the impact of the pandemic on the management of higher education remains. Within the field of entrepreneurship education research, the influence of institutional management on teacher entrepreneurship competency (TEC) has attracted more attention as they are considered one of the key engines of economic recovery. Using quantitative research as well as SEM, a total of 1241 entrepreneurship education faculty members at China's double first-class universities were surveyed using a questionnaire. The results suggest that entrepreneurship group management (EGM) and mechanism protection (EMP) in institutions have a positive predictive effect on TEC, while a partial mediating effect exists after considering teacher entrepreneurial behaviours (TEB) (including Teacher's behaviour of innovation and autonomy (BIA) and resource seeking and management (BSM)). Overall, the management of entrepreneurship education in Chinese universities has a good effect on the development of TEC. Thus, the application of tripartite interaction theory in entrepreneurship education institutions provides a good reference for the personal sustainable development of entrepreneurship teachers. The significance of institutional management for teachers should shift from the traditional provision of work to professional development and growth.

Research on the Competence Improvement of Etiquette Teachers in Applied Tourism Undergraduate Colleges under the Mixed Teaching Mode

Guided by professional competence, improving the teaching mode of tourism management specialty in application-oriented undergraduate colleges, promoting the construction of "double-qualified" teacher team, and promoting the combination of work and learning, school-enterprise cooperation are the inevitable trend of the teaching reform of tourism management specialty in application-oriented undergraduate colleges. In this regard, this paper focuses on the analysis of the characteristics of the cultivation of professional competence talents in tourism management, and expounds the necessity of improving the practical ability of tourism management students in application-oriented undergraduate colleges and universities with the guidance of professional competence. The innovation and entrepreneurship and practical education abilities of innovation and entrepreneurship teachers in application-oriented undergraduate colleges and universities need to be strengthened. Specifically, the innovation and entrepreneurship education teaching methods, teaching content system, innovation and entrepreneurship opportunity identification Practical guidance and the ability to integrate expertise and innovation are the key points that should be improved or improved. Based on this, the paper puts forward the main countermeasures to improve the innovation and entrepreneurship competence of teachers in application-oriented undergraduate colleges.

Pelaksanaan Pendidikan Kewirausahaan dalam Program Double Track pada Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kabupaten Banyuwangi

This study focuses on the analysis of the implementation of entrepreneurship education in the double track program in Banyuwangi Regency Senior High Schools that have implemented this program, so that it is expected to be an example for other high schools. The study used descriptive qualitative methods with research subjects namely SMAN 1 Purwoharjo and SMAS 1 Muhammadiyah Banyuwangi, including school principals, entrepreneurship teachers and double track program supervisors, as well as students. Data were obtained by means of in-depth and semi-structured interviews, observations, and "focus group discussions" with colleagues. The result of this research is that the double track program is successful in accordance with its objectives, namely developing interests and talents as well as independence through entrepreneurship. The supporting factors of this program are technological advances and student enthusiasm, while the inhibiting factor is the limited facilities and infrastructure to support the success of the double track learning process.

Ensino de empreendedorismo: Um estudo sobre boas práticas e antecedentes de professores brasileiros

Objective: to know concrete practices of teaching entrepreneurship, as well as the professional/academic background of teachers, in order to fill gaps observed in the literature on the subject. Method: data collection of entrepreneurship teachers recognized for their classroom practice (selected by the snowball procedure), through 10 semi-structured and in-depth interviews, examined by the content analysis technique. Results: identification of 30 best practices, categorized according to their emphases and respective bases, highlighted here in parentheses. They are: (a) learning (projects), (b) learning (problems), (c) reflective exercises, (d) expository (cases), (e) expository (invited entrepreneurs), and (f) expository (debates and quizzes). After detailing the activities, findings about the teachers' background were presented, in a complementary way, such as entrepreneurial experience, professional and international experiences, corroborating the existing literature on the subject. Theoretical/methodological contributions: by presenting boundaries, in terms of classroom approaches, the best practices contribute to the literature, as they strengthen the arguments in favor of experiential models, as well as project-based or problem-based learning. In addition, the results confirm what the literature points out in relation to the antecedents of entrepreneurship teachers Originality/Relevance: this study deepens the understanding of best practices in entrepreneurship education, something previously mentioned as superficial and generic (Gedeon, 2014). Social/managerial contributions: the results allow entrepreneurship teachers to replicate best practices within their educational settings, as the paper provides a wide range of detailed pedagogical practices that they might employ.

A three wave longitudinal study of school innovation climate and entrepreneurship teachers' acceptance to technology: Moderating role of knowledge sharing and knowledge hiding.

Entrepreneurship and business school teachers must extensively use technological and innovative tools to increase the efficacy of their instructional methods. This research aimed to investigate the teachers’ acceptance of technology in the school innovation climate, to enhance the use and effectiveness of educational technology in Thai entrepreneurship and business schools. Furthermore, the conditional influence of knowledge hiding and sharing on the link between school innovation climate and educational technology has been investigated and reported. Using a longitudinal study design data were gathered from the 204 entrepreneurship teachers of six different universities in Pattani, Bangkok, and Songkla Provinces, Thailand. Based on SamrtPLS 3.3.3 analysis, results revealed that the “school innovation climate” positively impacts educational technology use. Additionally, knowledge hiding and sharing moderated the relationship between “school innovation climate” and acceptance of educational technology (actual use of educational technology, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of educational technology). Current research attempted to bridge the gap between knowledge management and innovation theories application in entrepreneurship education. The study brings key policy implications for school leaders and practitioners and suggests several directions for future research.

Study of the Structure of Abilities of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Instructors at Chinese Higher Education Institutions Based on the Mechanisms of Organizational Support: Based on an Empirical Survey of 1,231 Higher Education Institutions

The composition of abilities of innovation and entrepreneurship instructors and their state of competence are key to the advancement of efforts for innovation and entrepreneurship education at higher education institutions, and the multidimensional dynamic structure of instructor abilities determines the baseline for the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship education at higher education institutions. On the basis of an empirical survey of a large sample of 1,231 higher education institutions across China, this study designed a scale for the composition of basic abilities among innovation and entrepreneurship instructors, a scale for factors influencing the improvement of abilities, a scale for the operating mechanisms of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and a scale for the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and applied a multiple regression analysis model to verify the relationship among the three factors of the composition of instructors’ abilities, the operating mechanisms for innovation and entrepreneurship, and the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship education. The study found that the structure of abilities of innovation and entrepreneurship instructors at Chinese higher education institutions is unbalanced, and they lack specialized knowledge and skills; the measures for organizational support provided by higher education institutions as the major agents implementing innovation and entrepreneurship education are undiversified; and the current state of development of the abilities of innovation and entrepreneurship instructors does not suffice to support sustained improvement in the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship education. Chinese higher education institutions must construct organizational support systems aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship instructors’ sense of identification and specialized development.
