Uncovering wellbeing: The complex realities of mompreneurs with additional needs children through Lego® Serious Play®

This paper explores the complexities of identifying the wellbeing of mompreneurs (mother-entrepreneurs) who are also caregivers to children with additional needs. A social constructionist perspective, Lego® Serious Play® was employed in individual interviews to uncover their complex wellbeing realities while pursuing entrepreneurship. A hermeneutic constructivist lens was applied to further conceptualize the language behind their experiences. The findings present three dimensions of wellbeing: 1) Internal conflict and self-neglect 2) Empowerment, Independence, Fulfilment 3) Resilient Control: Keeping the Balance. These dimensions provide an idiographic understanding, contributing to the broader knowledge of wellbeing as a component of entrepreneurship alongside caregiving responsibilities.

The Effect of Entrepreneurial Dimension on Corporate Reputation Among Corporations in the Municipality of Santo Tomas, Davao Del Norte

This study focused on the connection between entrepreneurial dimensions and corporate reputation among corporations. Using the Sloven equation, the intended sample size was 148 out of the 240 workers who participated in the research as responders. The method used to choose the respondents was universal sampling. The data obtained using two adjusted questionnaires were analyzed using the mean and Pearson r. The results showed that workers usually exhibit the entrepreneurial dimension in terms of competitive aggression. However, a company’s reputation for emotional appeal is always present. The findings showed that among employees of a firm, there was a substantial correlation between the entrepreneurial component and corporate reputation. The findings proposed that corporations should create programs supporting employees’ bold activities with clear risk evaluations and training. Besides, representatives must remain informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and the company’s objectives. Moreover, employees must build on trust, shared purpose, and respect, which can create more meaningful and sustainable connections among employees. In addition, corporations must emphasize surveys to recognize the value of exceptional personnel, attract them, provide them with benefits, and offer them competitive compensation. Future researchers will explore the impacts of entrepreneurial dimensions (e.g., innovativeness, risk-taking, pro-activeness, and competitive aggressiveness) on corporate reputation among corporations. Understanding which dimensions have the most prominent impact can assist employees in working efficiently.

Entrepreneurial resilience during the time of crises: investigation of ethnic restaurants

ABSTRACT Ethnic restaurants are a significant component of the hospitality and tourism industry. Unlike other entrepreneurial engagements, entrepreneurship in ethnic restaurants follows a different trajectory because of the involvement of individuals from different ethnic backgrounds with an intention to create a unique brand value. Meanwhile, due to the nature and scale of operations (i.e. independent, family-owned, small-scale businesses), evaluating their challenges and entrepreneurial resilience could further enhance our understanding of cultivating a sustainable business environment. Limited resources made these small-scale businesses vulnerable to crises. Using a qualitative approach, this study examined resilience among ethnic restaurant owners through 20 individual interviews. Through the application of Kao’s framework of entrepreneurship, unique themes under entrepreneurship components for ethnic restaurant owners were identified. These findings provide important theoretical and practical implications for promoting a sustainable business environment for ethnic restaurants during crises.

The Role of Social-Media for Micro-Entrepreneurship of Young Startups

This research investigates the significant role of social media in fostering micro-entrepreneurship among young startups in Pakistan. With the increasing prevalence of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, social media has become a pivotal tool for new entrepreneurs. This study aims to explore how these platforms are utilized by young entrepreneurs to initiate and expand their businesses, identifying the most effective strategies and the unique challenges faced. This research uses a qualitative methods approach, including a phenomenal approach, the study analyzes the comparative success rates of social media-based startups versus traditional small businesses. Results indicate that social media enhances business visibility and provides cost-effective marketing solutions, significantly impacting local economic development. The study recommends tailored social media training programs for aspiring entrepreneurs and magnificent regulation based on the findings. In conclusion, social media emerges as a vital component of modern entrepreneurship, offering substantial benefits and opportunities for micro-enterprises in Pakistan.

ENVIRONMENTAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP: ROLE IN SOLVING ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGES AND ENSURING SOCIAL INCLUSION

The article studies the essence of environmental entrepreneurship and its role in solving modern environmental challenges and social problems. Balancing economic, social, and ecological goals, environmental entrepreneurs at all stages of their activities prioritize sustainable development and responsible and reasonable strategic decisions that form the long-term value of entrepreneurial activity. Thus, environmental entrepreneurship, introducing social and ecological innovations, rational use of resources and minimization of negative impact on the environment, ensuring a continuous recycling and absorption process of any material, promotes economic growth and social welfare of all segments of the population; promotes social inclusion and integration, a realization of human potential, business activity, entrepreneurial ability; expands opportunities for people with special needs, and marginalized; improves the level and quality of their life, reduces the differentiation of society, etc. Analysis of international experience has revealed that, in modern conditions, environmental entrepreneurship has received international recognition as a response to global environmental challenges. At the same time, international cooperation, standardization, and technology exchange are key factors in the development of ecological entrepreneurship at the international level. Legislative support, financial incentives, and increased consumer awareness create a favorable environment for green (sustainable) businesses. Despite the challenges of a large-scale war, progress is being made in the development of environmental entrepreneurship in Ukraine, in particular through the restoration of infrastructure and the introduction of European environmental standards. It is generalized that the development of environmental initiatives in the context of the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine will ensure the realization of the potential to stimulate economic development, create new opportunities for business and employment, generate profit and income, ensure the restoration of affected areas and rural development, promote the transition to a low-carbon economy, solve social problems. However, the implementation of these tasks requires compliance with the following principles: an integrated approach to the balance of economic, social, and environmental components of environmental entrepreneurship in the interests of sustainable development; investments in education to spread knowledge and skills in the formation of sustainable development public culture; impact investments, inclusive social and environmental innovations as the basis for economic growth; cooperation between governments, businesses, society, and communities as the basis for implementing sustainable development initiatives.

The Impact of Economic Security on Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Central and Eastern Europe – from the Financial Crisis to the COVID–19 Pandemic

The article’s main aim is to assess the impact of economic security on sustainable entrepreneurship in Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs), including Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia from 2008 to 2020. The paper’s novelty is the development of indicators of sustainable entrepreneurship and its three pillars: economic, social and environmental. Moreover, we assessed the impact of economic security on sustainable entrepreneurship and conducted a comparative analysis of its consequences on the economic, social and environmental components of entrepreneurship. We use the Pearson correlation coefficient, the Ordinary Least Square Method, and the SUR estimations for structural equations. The results of the analysis indicate that sustainable entrepreneurship and economic security in the analysed countries are growing. However, their dynamics are varied, and what is more, economic security has a statistically significant impact on sustainable entrepreneurship. The impact of economic security on sustainable entrepreneurship from 2008 to 2020 is highest in Slovakia, Bulgaria and Poland. The lowest is in Latvia, Romania and Czechia. We notice that pursuing a stable and responsible macroeconomic policy affects the implementation of sustainable development goals. It is important to create the best conditions for growth in the long term, which is a challenge because of the problem of finding optimal relationships between factors that determine economic security.

NOOR: Illuminating Vitiligo through Cinematic Entrepreneurship and Social Change

The moving and inspiring short film NOOR explores the experiences of those impacted NOOR is a moving and thought provoking short film that delves into the lives of people affected by Vitiligo (Pulberi). The disease causes depigmentation of the skin, causing white patches of skin on the body. The film highlights the tests, trials, and consequential successes faced by such a person, all the while learning to accept oneself as one is with the resultant self-confidence. The aim of this treatise is to develop an impactful cinematic experience that portrays the unique experiences of persons who suffer from Vitiligo, including psychological misery, suffering social stigma, and the resultant effects on self-esteem and confidence. The much-needed unknown disorder is shown in the film so that its psychological effects and the tribulations faced by people who have it can be seen. The drive to delve into the topic of Vitiligo stems from the necessity to discuss uncomfortable subjects that are usually misunderstood and face social stigma. Vitiligo imposes a significant effect on one’s mental status, self-esteem, and self-confidence, not to mention its visibility. The crux of the film revolves around the theme of a person suffering from Vitligo who has a driving passion to create a career in athletics, which is hindered due to her condition. The entrepreneurial component of this endeavor is conceptualizing NOOR's potential beyond its function as a film. It acts as a model for a broader commercial project—a whole multimedia platform focused on raising awareness and empowering individuals with Vitiligo. This platform goes beyond conventional cinema by including interactive experiences, educational tools, and a community involvement program. The main objective is to utilize this film representation not just for educational purposes but also as a stimulus for societal contemplation, encouraging conversations regarding traditional beauty norms, and nurturing a more comprehensive and compassionate community. This method harnesses the potential for entrepreneurship by creating engaging visual material and generating chances for social change and empowerment focused on Vitiligo.

Entrepreneurial universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan: The essence and features of development

Relevance. The relevance of the problem stated in the article is defined by the fact that entrepreneurial universities have become one of the most important condition for the development of an innovative economy these days. As the experience of developed countries shows, only the interaction of universities and business can cause rapid innovation processes in the economy, actualise research in the areas necessary for the economy, develop innovative products in demand by society and their rapid commercialisation. The development of entrepreneurial institutions in the Republic of Kazakhstan is vital for sustained economic growth. The reason for this is the need to develop an innovative economy in the country, which should contribute to bringing national enterprises to a new level of international competitiveness.Purpose. The purpose of the article is to study the essence and features of the development of entrepreneurial universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.Methodology. The leading method to study this problem is empirical, namely, the study of the regulatory framework and the practice of creating entrepreneurial universities.Results. As a result of the study, it was discovered that the entrepreneurial component in the activities of universities in Kazakhstan is underdeveloped, which reduces their competitiveness, especially at the international level. In addition, the interaction between business and universities is not well established. The main causes and consequences of this problem are considered, acceptable models of interaction are identified.Conclusions. The need to create and develop entrepreneurial universities sets the task for the state to discover more considerable incentives that promote closer cooperation between universities and commercial organisations. This will allow solving issues not only of conducting and financing research, training more qualified personnel, but also issues of rapid commercialisation of innovations, which will entail the development of an innovative economy.

Fostering Entrepreneurial Mindset in Students: A Modular Framework for Integrating Entrepreneurship Education Into Engineering Capstone Projects

This paper aims to integrate entrepreneurship component into senior capstone engineering projects, so to elevate their entrepreneurial intentions. Incorporating entrepreneurship into engineering capstone projects helps students understand how their technical skills can be applied in real-world scenarios. It encourages them to develop solutions that are not just academically sound but also practical and marketable. Engineering Capstone’s projects are designed to provide senior students with opportunities to present their own solutions. These are all potential ideas for start-ups, that can stimulate new employment and economic growth. Nowadays the role of entrepreneurship to market economies has significantly increased, since it acts as the wheels of the economic development of the country. So, in this context, entrepreneurship education has emerged out as a demanding subject to be mastered by young graduates. This paper proposes a framework with modules (arranged according to Bloom Taxonomy) to be delivered within two stages aligned with engineering capstone projects’ academic timing. This methodology will boost the interest of the students for individual start-ups and embrace any upcoming opportunities to be successful entrepreneurs. This framework can be implemented in any engineering department.

ПІДПРИЄМНИЦТВО В АГРАРНОМУ СЕКТОРІ: ВІТЧИЗНЯНІ РЕАЛІЇ В УМОВАХ СУЧАСНИХ ВИКЛИКІВ ТА МІЖНАРОДНИЙ ДОСВІД ДЕРЖАВНОЇ ПІДТРИМКИ

The article examines current issues of the functioning of agrarian entrepreneurship in world practice and in Ukraine. The role and importance of entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector for the functioning of the country and raising the standard of living of its population are substantiated. An analysis of theoretical approaches regarding the essential characteristics of the concept of "entrepreneurship" in the historicalevolutionary context of the formation of agricultural production was carried out. The main approaches that allow to increase the effectiveness, profitability and efficiency of agrarian entrepreneurship are systematized for the main assessments of losses in the agricultural sector of Ukraine and the analysis of the functioning of agricultural production in the world's leading countries. The importance of state support for the agricultural sector of the economy, as one of the more risky among other economic spheres, has been proven. The specific and general risks of an agricultural enterprise in Ukraine in modern business conditions are outlined, which will allow them to be taken into account when making management decisions on the basis of intellectualization, digitalization, environmentalization, and adaptability. The special relevance of the implementation of "green" economy measures and the improvement of the risk insurance system of agrarian entrepreneurship is emphasized. The main components of agrarian entrepreneurship are systematized: resource; organizationalmanagerial and creative-creative, which require a systematic approach in the implementation of entrepreneurial functions. The strategic goals of the development of agriculture in Ukraine are outlined on the basis of optimization of agrarian entrepreneurship and domestic sustainable development on the way to achieving high indicators that the economy is capable of achieving in its post-war recovery.

LOGISTICS PROCESSES’ OPTIMIZATION IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE

Scientific article devoted to the main principles’ and tasks’ substantiation for logistics activities in international trade. In the research has been determined the functional components of international logistics in terms of the study of key threats, risks of the logistics companies’ operation in the field of international trade. It have been identified the fundamental goals and tools of logistics systems optimization, which are used by modern enterprises to reduce costs, increase the level of efficiency and improve the quality of customer service. It was determined that the global economy provides a huge number of opportunities for business strategic development, whereas international trade and exporting are becoming increasingly important components of successful entrepreneurship in the modern world. In order to successfully conduct international trade, in the article have been taken into account the practical recommendations related to international supply and logistics. International trade and logistics has been defined as the main factor, which plays an important role in the successful of the global economy functioning and then requires specific knowledge and skills to achieve success. In turn, international business requires special attention to logistics and supply and it is positioned as a number of complex challenges for companies in moving goods and services between different countries. Summarizing, it worth to noting that international trade and logistics are interconnected and jointly determine the success of global business. They enable companies to expand their market and reach new heights by ensuring efficient sourcing and international distribution of goods and services, and accordingly, the components optimal combination of this interconnected process allows companies to expand their own shares of the target market and, as a result, achieve sustainable competitive advantages, ensuring the effective distribution of goods and services at the national and global levels.

СОВРЕМЕННОЕ БРЕНДИРОВАНИЕ КАК ПЕРЕОСМЫСЛЕНИЕ ТЕОРИИ РОСКОШИ В. ЗОМБАРТА

The views of the classic German sociologist W. Sombart regarding the social practices of luxury consumption are of undoubted scientific interest. The article, in relation to modern realities, examines the psychological types identified by Sombart that are predisposed to promoting the bourgeois way of life. Sombart's ideas regarding the ideological component of Western European capitalist entrepreneurship, revealed as a unity in the entrepreneur of the images of a conqueror, organizer and merchant, which has a mythological nature in Anglo-Saxon culture, are also being developed by modern researchers (the American anthropologist D. Graeber, for example). Comparison of Sombart's ideas with the views of M. Weber, L.N. Gumileva reveals aspect of inequality of behavioral inclinations within a nation and the inequality of expression of such inclinations between nations, which in no way contradicts modern science and ethics, since it can relate to the parameters of the distribution of types of temperament, and could also turn a material for the development of ethological studies of behavioral stereotypes, which are not enough in modern stage of science development

Social and economic system of regional entrepreneurship as the object of strategizing

To realize the potential of regional entrepreneurship as a system of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the region it is essential to develop a successful winning strategy oriented towards rapid exploitation of new opportunities. To this end, it is necessary to clarify the essence, boundaries, structure, and functions of the object of strategizing. The research is based on the general theory of strategy and methodology of strategizing, the theories of entrepreneurship, the systematic approach. The authors study approaches and theories that explain the essence, the functions and the structure of the system of regional entrepreneurship by applying systematization and content analysis methods. While analyzing the theories of entrepreneurship four components of the strategic mission of SMEs have been defined as follows: providing guarantees to partners, movement and productive use of factors of production, implementation of innovation, creation of gazelle companies (with the average annual increase in revenue or employment of more than 20% over 3 years). The study has shown that they are not fully implemented, and so the situation requires developing a new strategy or improving the old one. And the strategy of development of entrepreneurship in the region should contribute to the implementation of higher-level strategies (regional and sectoral). Moreover, the strategy should define the basic policies for strategizing the components of regional entrepreneurship – individual enterprises, clusters, different types of activities. The study offers a structural and logical scheme of relationship of the strategy of development of regional entrepreneurship (on the example of Kemerovo region – Kuzbass) with other strategic planning documents. Also, the authors justify the expediency of differentiation of strategic priorities of traditional and innovative entrepreneurship in the region. The analysis of theoretical foundations of exploring entrepreneurship as the object of strategizing has made it possible to clarify the basic components of its mission and justify the place of the corresponding strategy in the general system of strategic planning documents. Clarification of the boundaries and the content of the system under study ensures moving on to the strategic OTSW-analysis. The findings of the study can be used in justification of strategic decisions of entrepreneurs and regional authorities.

Introduction. The unique combination of economic and social components of social entrepreneurship distinguishes it from purely entrepreneurial activity and makes it a subject of psychological research. Aim. Based on the relevant scientific literature, to determine the main psychological approaches to the analysis of social entrepreneurship. Methods. Theoretical analysis, systematization and generalization of scientific psychological literature on the problem of interest. Results. The analysis of the relevant scientific literature allowed determining the following vectors of research into the psychological foundations of social entrepreneurship: entrepreneurs' activity type, behavior type, and personal traits. Social entrepreneurship as a special activity is characterized by activity goals, features, values, motivation, and type of interaction. Besides, social entrepreneurship as a type of personal behavior combines entrepreneurial, organizational, and helping behaviors. The social entrepreneurs' personal features include entrepreneurial, organizational and personally supportive ones. Conclusions. The study of approaches to the analysis of social entrepreneurship was focused on types of activity (activity goals, signs and motivation, values, and interactions at different levels), the types of behavior (entrepreneurial, organizational, and helping activities), as well as a set of entrepreneurs' personal features (the psychological portrait of a classic entrepreneur is supplemented with their personally supporting qualities and prosocial values).

The relationship between organizational culture and organizational entrepreneurship of employees of Sports and Youth in Hamadan province, Iran

The purpose of this study was to the relationship between organizational culture and organizational entrepreneurship of employees of Sports and Youth in Hamadan province, Iran. This is a descriptive-correlational research. The statistical population of the study was all employees of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of Hamadan Province, whose number is 125 people and due to the limited statistical population, total number sampling, was used. To measure organizational culture, Denison's organizational culture questionnaire was used, which included 60 questions and 4 components of involvement in work (participation), similarity (compatibility or integration), adaptability, and mission and to measure organizational entrepreneurship, Margaret Hill's organizational entrepreneurship questionnaire was used, which includes 13 questions and 4 components of organizational actions, individual attitude, flexibility and entrepreneurial culture. These questionnaires are used as a useful tool. Cronbach's alpha coefficient in this study for organizational culture components is 0.944 and organizational entrepreneurship components are 0.839, which indicates the high reliability of the questionnaires. The validity of these questionnaires was also confirmed by sports management experts. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze them. In the descriptive statistics section, the frequency and percentage of cumulative frequency were used, in the inferential statistics section, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to normalize data distribution. Pearson and Regression correlation test using spss.25 software was used to test the implementation hypotheses.

Family entrepreneurship: towards the formulation of the problem

Modern geopolitical conditions combined with the sanctions cause an objective need to search for internal economic mechanisms capable of both leveling the consequences of an unprecedented economic impact on Russia and acting as a support for its further socio-economic development; therefore, the appeal to the study of family entrepreneurship seems justified. At the same time , its relevance is due to the following reasons: 1) the socialization of the economy and law; 2) the social component of entrepreneurship; 3) the development of social entrepreneurship; 4) state family policy. The subject of this work is family entrepreneurship - a complex intersectoral institution that combines the norms of family and business law. In the course of the study, the author draws attention to the consideration of the following issues: 1) the relevance of family entrepreneurship; 2) the main essential features of family entrepreneurship; 3) the need for legislative consolidation of family entrepreneurship as a special legal regime for the activities of a certain category of subjects. The research uses general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, a systematic approach; special legal methods. As a result of the study, the following conclusions were made. The constitutive feature of family entrepreneurship is the family-legal ties that develop between family members; other features also include: 1) the similarity of institutional forms of family entrepreneurship with small business; 2) the implementation of entrepreneurial activity, including to achieve a social positive effect; 3) the axiological component of family entrepreneurship. Consideration of family entrepreneurship as a special legal regime for the activities of a certain category of subjects allows for variability, represented by two directions. The first is civilistic, where there is no need to allocate a special legal regime for the activities of a certain category of subjects, and the second is social, in which the understanding of family entrepreneurship as a family value leads to its isolation as one of the special legal regimes for the activities of certain categories of subjects. The latter option is preferable.

How does innovation spirit affect R&D investment and innovation performance? The moderating role of business environment

As a vital component of entrepreneurship, innovation spirit is significant for innovation performance. Utilizing the 2015 China Micro and Small Enterprise Survey dataset, we used the Probit and Tobit micro-econometric models to study the relationship between the innovation spirit, research and development (R&D) investment, and innovation performance of micro and small enterprises (MSEs). Our research results show that the innovation spirit of MSEs has a significant promotional effect on innovation performance, and R&D investment is an important internal transmission mechanism for innovation spirit to affect innovation performance. We found that the business environment significantly moderates the impact of innovation spirit on R&D investment and innovation performance. Optimizing the business environment will suppress the impact of innovation spirit on R&D investment and enhance the promotion of innovation spirit on innovation performance. Our results have implications for policymakers about the cultivation of the innovation spirit of MSEs, the optimization of the business environment, and the improvement of the innovation ability of enterprises and the innovation vitality of the market.

Embedding components of entrepreneurship and creativity skills into construction technology education curriculum in Nigeria

Construction Technology Education (CTE) students in tertiary institutions of Nigeria have been criticised of their inability to demonstrate entrepreneurship and creativity skills after graduation. As such wood and building construction industries in Nigeria could not employ CTE graduates. Therefore, this study aims to determine entrepreneurship and creativity skills components appropriate for embedding into the curriculum of CTE program in Nigerian tertiary institutions. A qualitative research method involving intrinsic case study design was employed for the study. The population for the study comprised 16 CTE experts purposively selected from the tertiary institutions in the north western states of Nigeria. The study utilised a semi structured interview protocol as the instrument for qualitative data collection. 3 CTE experts from Nigerian tertiary institutions validated the protocol. Data from the interview responses were manually transcribed coded and interpreted. Findings from the responses of the participants revealed marketing skills, ICT skills, management skills as part of the entrepreneurship skills components appropriate to embedded into the curriculum of CTE program. The finding further revealed that critical thinking skills, innovative skills, and self-evaluation skills formed part of the creativity skills components appropriate for embedding into the curriculum of CTE program. The study concludes by recommending to the agencies responsible with running tertiary institutions in Nigeria to do the needful in restructuring the CTE curriculum at the undergraduate level to incorporate entrepreneurship and creativity skills components for employment sustainability of CTE students after graduation.
