Pengenalan Dunia Kampus di Sma Negeri 1 Kuala Pembuang Kabupaten Seruyan

Campus introduction activities are a form of community service which aims to provide information about the world of higher education and help high school students in determining future career choices. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Kuala Pembuang, Seruyan Regency, using interactive presentation and discussion methods. The results of the activity showed that students felt more motivated and had a clearer picture of the steps they should take after graduating from high school. Information about various majors and scholarship opportunities is of great interest to students, especially those who have financial constraints. Evaluation shows that this activity succeeded in reducing students' anxiety regarding college entrance selection and provided positive encouragement for them. This campus introduction activity has a significant impact in preparing students to continue their education to a higher level and this service is concrete evidence of the tridharma of higher education, namely Teaching, Research and Community Service.

Training on Basic Mathematics for 12th Grade Students of SMA Pasundan Majalaya in Preparation for the 2024 SNBT

Basic math training plays an important role in preparing students for the National Selection Based Test (SNBT), which is one of the entry pathways to public universities in Indonesia. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of academic ability test training in improving the readiness of XII grade students of Pasundan Majalaya High School to face SNBT 2024. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a case study approach. The study population was all XII grade students of Pasundan Majalaya High School who participated in the training program. Data were collected through observations and tests conducted before and after the training. Data analysis was conducted to measure the improvement of students' academic ability and readiness. The results showed that the academic proficiency test training implemented at Pasundan Majalaya High School was effective in improving students' pre and post test results. There was a significant increase in proficiency test scores through pre and post test results. In addition, the training also helped students in developing time management skills, problem solving strategies, and critical thinking skills. The findings suggest that structured and comprehensive training can significantly improve students' academic readiness, thus helping them to face SNBT more confidently and competitively. This research is expected to contribute to the preparation of Pasundan Majalaya High School students for college entrance selection.

An Analysis of Educational Equity in American University Entrance Selection from the Perspective of Cultural Capital

The issue of educational equity has always been a hot topic of discussion. Whether educational resources are allocated fairly and whether children have equal access to education are key concerns, especially in many developed and developing countries where education has become an issue that cannot be ignored in society. Based on Bourdieu's theory of cultural capital, this article analyzes the influence of parents' own educational level, social status, and other factors on their children's growth process, as well as the direct and indirect effects on their children's education in the subsequent education process. The author finds through research that children's education process is influenced by their family environment and parents' own educational background. Therefore, the author suggests that the government should provide more assistance to children from impoverished areas and families so that they can be allocated more and better educational resources to make up for the lack of access to good education due to their poor economic foundation.

Students Demography Clustering Based on The ICFL Program Using K-Means Algorithm

Independent Campus, Freedom to Learn (ICFL) Program is one of the manifestations of student-centered learning. This program can help students reach their full potential by allowing them to pursue their passions and talents. This study aims to see how the segmentation of students participating in the ICFL program is based on demographic data. This research is based on survey responses from students participating in the ICFL program. The method used in this study is input data preparation, pre-processing, data cleansing, and data analysis. The information will be pre-processed before being utilized and evaluated. To help produce better outcomes in data clustering, the K-Means clustering approach is used, which is processed using the Python computer language. The data is clustered using the K-Means clustering approach based on gender characteristics, Grade Point Average (GPA), university entrance selection, ICFL category, and year or semester when participating in ICFL. This study resulted in three clusters with each of its criteria. The dominant gender is found in clusters 2 (100% female) and 3 (100% male). Software Development was the most popular ICFL category among students in cluster 1, accounting for 67%, while Design and Analysis Information Systems was the most popular in clusters 2 and 3. The most dominant ICFL program is found in three clusters. ICFL - Internship program in which at least 40% of participants come from each cluster. The research results are expected to assist stakeholders in evaluating the implementation of the ICFL program. Â

Penerapan Metode ROC Dan Metode WASPAS Untuk Menentukan Penerima Beasiswa KIP Kuliah

KIP lectures are lecture education assistance which aims to free registration for college entrance selection and tuition or education fees. One of the tertiary institutions that has the opportunity to get KIP Lectures is Budi Darma University. Based on the results of observations and interviews with the assistant head of student affairs at Budi Darma University to determine the feasibility of the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) College scholarship currently still using the conventional election system, by means of students submitting files to the selection team for the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) College scholarship then taking part in tests and interviews To overcome the problems experienced by the selection team, a system is needed to help the selection team. One of them is using the Decision Making System (SPK). Where to do a combination of the Decision Support System method with the ROC method used for weighting and the WASPAS method used for alternative rankings. With the aim of providing recommendations for students who get KIP college scholarships. From the results of the calculation of the values ​​above, it can be determined who will receive the KIP College scholarship based on recommendations from the decision support system by applying the ROC method which is used as weighting and the WASPAS method which is used as a ranking determination to get the best ranking results on behalf of Iramaya Tampubolon with a Qi value of 0. 991921266, it can be concluded that if KIP quotas study at Budi Darma University 10, the ranking taken is according to the number of cities received.

Implementasi Pengembangan Kurikulum Madrasah Bertaraf Internasional

This paper is the result of a field study conducted at one of the educational institutions on the island of Bawean, namely Madrasah Aliyah Mambaul Falah Tambilung. The focus studied in this research is on how to implement the development of an international standard madrasa curriculum (MBI). This study aims to determine the implementation of international standard madrasa curriculum development. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method, while the data collection techniques used are observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, data conclusion. Checking the validity of the data used is source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the MBI curriculum development is carried out by a). Reviewing the curriculum by inviting lecturers and kiai from Java to review learning at MBI, b). Shaping the character of students starting from the beginning of school entry, and c) Focusing on deepening the subjects used for college entrance selection.

Remote Aptitude Testing for Conference Interpreting in Europe During and After the Pandemic

There is general agreement that adequate entrance selection to conference interpreting courses is key to ensuring successful outcomes, as well as to guaranteeing a wise use of limited resources and satisfactory class dynamics. Indeed, entrance selection is one of the key quality assessment criteria for membership to the European Masters in Conference Interpreting (EMCI). Conference interpreter training programmes (CITPs) in Europe use a range of written and oral exercises to identify suitable candidates at entrance. The core test procedure is usually a series of “gist” or recall exercises, in which candidates are required to re-express in another language the ideas conveyed in a short presentation. Prior to 2020 these exercises were for the most part held with a panel of assessors and the candidates in an interview room at the host university. The COVID-19-related restrictions introduced in Europe since March 2020 in effect led to an enforced experiment with a new mode of test delivery, as stringent travel and meeting restrictions forced many programmes to switch to remote selection. This was initially seen as an unfortunate temporary expedient, but we would suggest that it might be an opportunity to take a fresh look at aptitude testing procedures. Despite the lifting of restrictions, a number of programmes continue to conduct their entrance tests in remote mode. It would be premature at this stage to draw conclusions about student outcomes, but it is worth considering trainer, student, and course coordinators’ perceptions of and experience with the new procedures. The article focuses on the CITPs in the EMCI, a consortium of 15 members at time of the outbreak of the pandemic. The data examined have been collected through a series of questionnaires and interviews. Student questionnaires have been collected mainly from the two Paris-based programmes, ISIT and ESIT; panellist questionnaires and interviews from ISIT, ESIT and Herzen in St Petersburg. 15 course coordinators in the EMCI have been consulted and 11 interviewed. The viewpoints of each of these three groups differ. The likely reasons for these differences are presented and discussed. The views and experience compiled and analysed are intended to feed into a broader discussion about aptitude testing.

Pembinaan Kompetensi Kuantitatif Siswa untuk Persiapan UTBK bagi Siswa MA Arrahman Jombang

Scholastic Potential Test (TPS) material training is needed to prepare for tests at post-high school level. In Indonesia, TPS is widely used for tests such as a test of university entrance selection, test of job recruitment, and the scholarship test. TPS is also used to measure a person’s intelligence. One of the phenomena that occurred in high school in Jombang was that there is no TPS material lesson, especially in 11th or 12th grade. This happened because it followed the school curriculum.So, students will be less prepared for their tests. This training aims to introduce and train students to solve on various types of TPS questions. The materials include general reasoning, quantitative knowledge, and general knowledge. The result of this training is 80% of the participants were able to improve their post-test score. The method which had been used in this training consists of several stages like observation, requirement analysis, design, material development, training, and evaluation. Result of this training is an increase in student test scores after training. Post-test score shows an increase in the number of participants who passed a passing grade by 30% from the previous one. So, total of 70% of the participants or about 28 trainees were able to pass the passing grade.

SOSIALISASI PROSPEK KARIR DI INDUSTRI IT BAGI SISWA SMK DI JAKARTA SELATAN

For vocational students, determining the choice of college majors according to their talents, interests, and abilities, which can determine future careers is a problem that is quite confusing and often occurs even until the time for college entrance selection arrives. Meanwhile, rapid technological innovation creates an IT industry that promises enormous career opportunities. Thus, vocational students need to know information about career prospects in the IT industry. This community service activity is carried out in the form of a webinar to provide information about careers in the IT industry and promising prospects in the future. The method used is the presentation of material online through the Zoom Meeting application to webinar participants who are vocational students in South Jakarta. The steps carried out in this activity are observation, data collection, literature review, material creation, implementation, and evaluation. The result of this activity is that vocational students get useful references and insights regarding career prospects in the IT industry.

Decision Support System for High School Entrance Selection

Currently, when going to high school, a selection will be made to select students based on zoning alone. Admissions using zoning are very detrimental to students who are outside the zoning but have better grades. Schools also want to have quality students however, the existence of government regulations makes it a trick if only zoning is used as a reference. The existence of a decision support system using the SAW method helps to make alternatives by having several criteria that are used as a benchmark when making a decision. In making this decision support system can display the results of student rankings based on SAW calculations and the development method using waterfalls and making this system web-based using PHP MySQL and HTML.This research produced a decision support system that can help make it easier for schools to determine the selection of new students based on the existing zoning system and produce rankings. The results of testing accuracy increased from 56% to 100%.

PREDIKSI KELULUSAN JALUR MASUK PERGURUAN TINGGI BANDA ACEH (STUDY KASUS MAHASISWA BARU TAHUN AJARAN 2019 ) MENGGUNAKAN ALGORITMA SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE (SVM)

Nowadays there are several types of entry points for new student admissions at tertiary institutions. There are many ways that every prospective student can prepare to pass the PTN entrance selection exam. Therefore the research aim to predict the graduation of tertiary entrance by classification method using the SVM algorithm (Support Vector Machine) which is assisted by WEKA machine learning, using data of new students in the 2019 school year. The final results in this study there are two variables that have the most relationship both the PTN entry selection tutoring variable and the interest pathway variable, with the PTN entry selection tutoring variable having a Pearson correlation value of -0.180 ** and a significance value of 0.002, the interest pathway having an accuracy value of 0.311 ** and a significance value of 0,000. Then based on the results of cross-validation testing and percentage split SVM algorithm has very good accuracy with an average accuracy of 99% with an AUC (Area Under Curve) value of 0.9907

The Enlightenment of Indian Institute of Technology: Autonomy, Selection and Practical Education

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) is one of the most famous universities in the world, and its history witnessed the development of Indian higher education. The unique management mode and educational philosophy have played an important role in its success story and given a strong boost to become one of the world-class universities. This paper explores the successful experience of IIT, which can be summarized in the following three aspects. Firstly, a high degree of autonomy and academic freedom ensure a good academic reputation. Secondly, based on rigorous selection and assessment, the IIT students work their way to the top of their profession. Lastly, the emphasis on practical education and the system of industry-university-research integration work together to promote the productivity transformation of academic achievements. Spatial-temporal response patterns of tourist flow under entrance tourist flow control scheme

This paper explores the relationship between tourists' information demand about entrance tourist flow control schemes (ETFCS) and tourists' entrance transfer decision-making behavior, using the case study of the Summer Palace, one of the most important resort destinations in Beijing, China. After discussing tourists' decision-making behavior under ETFCS information, a revealed preference and stated preference survey (N = 1742 valid observations) were created and a joint choice model of tourist's entrance transfer and diversion entrance selection was established. Results show how various ETFCS are formulated and affect tourists' decision-making behavior under different traffic congestion. Sensitivity analysis reveals that tourists' entrance transfer decision-making behavior is related to the entry time of current crowded entrance and the time saved from the diversion entrance. Hence it is possible to formulate ETFCS in terms of tourist's spatial-temporal distribution in order to anticipate the levels of tourist intensity, especially during peak periods.

Detection and Stimulation of Growth and Developmental in Children with Developmental Delay in Tegal City

<p><em>Homeschooling was one of informal education as an alternative for children with developmental delay who could not follow a formal school system. Homeschooling had a unique method of teaching their students based on their ability so they could explore their ability and their interest. This study aimed to identify the strategy to detect and stimulate children with developmental delay in Tegal City. This study was a qualitative study with a phenomenology approach. The researcher used snowball sampling and human instrument in collecting data. The researcher did data reduction, data display, and made the decision. The triangulation of methods verified the data. The result shows that growth and development detection carried out by teachers since student entrance selection and during learning in class. Stimulation carried out by teachers by focusing on one ability so that children could mastering them. Stimulation focus on cognitive ability and for other ability carried out by professionals such as doctors or therapies.</em></p>

ANÁLISE DIALÓGICA DE NOTÍCIAS PRODUZIDAS NO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL: ESTRUTURA COMPOSICIONAL E CONSTRUÇÃO DO SIGNO “ASAS”

Since the State Curricular Guidelines for teaching Portuguese (PARANA, 2008) provide for the work with genres (BAKHTIN, 2017) and that many university entrance selection processes include a writing text in a specific genre, it seems necessary to consider issues related to this theme, regarding the discussion about writing in the classroom. Thus, fundamental concepts of Bakhtin’s theory supported this study regarding the analysis of pieces of news produced by students of the ninth year of elementary school who answered a written task proposed in the III Serialized Selection Process of the State University of Ponta Grossa. The main aim of such analysis was to find out whether the texts produced by the students showed features of the genre news and how they built up, through their enunciation, the concept of “wings” metaphorically presented in the test. The analysis of the pieces of news produced revealed how multiple the refractions are and the different answers given to the writing tasks proposed. These results lead us to defend the need to take on a dialogical conception of language.

In-Service Teacher Training and Education in Indonesia

This study aimed to find out the implementation of teacher education training programs held by FTTE in preparing teacher training and education in the 21ST century concerning student recruitment, curriculums, teacher students’ perception, and challenges the faculty had. The four questions referred to critical thinking skill, collaboration skill, communication skill, and using technology as a tool for learning. The data were obtained through documentation and survey questionnaire. The results of the study showed that there were three systems of recruiting the students, namely National Entrance Selection for State University, National Joint Entrance Selection for Public University, and Public University Entrance Examination. The critical thinking was perceived as vital and essential as it is needed in the workplace. The student respondents seemed not to do it very frequently. In analysing complex problems, investigating questions, evaluating different points of view or sources of information, and drawing appropriate conclusions almost 40% of the samples applied their critical thinking skills. Many applied their collaboration skill such as working in pairs or small groups to complete a task together, setting goals and creating a plan for their team, creating joint products using contributions from each student, presenting their group work to the class, teacher or others. In communication skills, there were three highest answers recorded, namely created charts, tables or graphs, answering questions in front of an audience, and using media other than a written paper such as posters, video, blogs. On the average, 49.85% did the skills. Using technology as a tool for learning was applied by 43%. Statistically descriptive, most respondents used social networking services, web search engines, and presentation applications as the three highest skills; they perceived as their excellent skills since they dealt with Facebook, Google search, and MS Power Point application.

THE EFFECT OF ENTRY SELECTION PATH AND FAMILY ENVIRONMENT ON ACCOUNTING STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT WITH LEARNING MOTIVATION AS INTERVENING VARIABLE

This study discusses the Effects of Entrance Selection and Family Pathways on Accounting Learning Achievements with Learning Motivation as Intervening Variables in Student Musi Charistas Unika Palembang. The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data on the influence of entrance selection, family environment and learning motivation as an intervening variable in students of the Accounting Study Program at UNIKA Musi Charitas Palembang. The sample used in this study was 140 students of the Accounting Study Program at UNIKA Musi Charitas Palembang. Technique sample collection in this research uses the method purposive sampling . The method of data analysis in this study uses path analysis (path analysis / AMOS). The test results show that, Entrance Selection Path (JSM) and Family Environment (LK) has a direct and significant effect on Learning Motivation (MB), Entrance Selection Path (JSM), Family Environment (LK) , and Learning Motivation (MB) has a direct and significant effect on Learning Achievement (PB), Entrance Selection Path (JSM) and Family Environment (LK) has a positive and significant direct effect on Learning Achievement (PB) through Learning Motivation (MB) as an intervening variable. The advice for Higher Education should be to increase the quota for students accepted through the achievement path. Whereas for students with test paths it is recommended to increase their learning motivation so that the learning achievements obtained are not inferior to students from the scholarship track
