The Mediating Role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Voice Behavior in the Relationship Between Proactive Personality and Job Performance

This study aims to evaluate the mediating role of organizational citizenship behavior on the impact of proactive personality on job performance as well as the mediating impact of employee voice behavior on the effect of proactive personality on organizational citizenship behavior. The statistical population of this study included 447 private hospital employees. Data was analyzed by structural equation method using SPSS AMOS program. The mediation functions were calculated using a process macro. As a result of the study, it was discovered that proactive personality has a positive effect on job performance, with organizational citizenship actions acting as a mediating factor. In addition, it has been found that proactive personality has a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior and in this relationship employee voice behavior has a mediating role.

Does Internal branding effect on Employee Performance? An Empirical Evidence from Services Sector of Pakistan.

Internal branding with its divergent tools techniques and dimensions is no doubt capable of aligning and changing interests, attitudes, minds and behavior of people inside the organization. However, impact of internal branding vary according to different sectors, this study instigate the impact of internal branding in healthcare sector. Since aftermath are employees, this study investigate employees of private hospitals that are nurses both male and female of all three nursing cadre. This study target total 230 nurses from different private hospitals in Sialkot by employing convenience sample of non-probability. This study uses primary data comprises of quantitative nature and cross sectional, which is collect by the use of self-administered survey questionnaire. Inferential statistics is use on IBM SPSS Statistics 25th version and the data is analyze using Reliability, Durbin Watson, Normality, Regression and Correlation analysis. Findings reveal that internal branding brings positive variation in employee performance although the results did not provide significant affect still the relation between both variables is positive and significant. Discussions, implications and future recommendations are the bases of results this study derive.

The Relationship Between Perception of Corporate Reputation and Turnover Intention: Results from Turkey

In today’s competitive environment, organisations are interested in intangible assets in order to survive, differentiate and gain competitive advantage. One of these intangible assets is corporate reputation, which has a great importance for businesses due to its capacity to influence all stakeholders. Corporate reputation can shape employees’ behaviour and attitudes, who are internal stakeholders. In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between private hospital employees’ perception of corporate reputation and their turnover intention. The research was performed between May 2018 and July 2018, and data were collected from employees of a private hospital operating in Turkey. Survey methodology was used to collect data. As a result of the study, it was found that employees’ perception of corporate reputation is high, and their turnover intention level is low. Another finding of the study is that there is a statistically significant, moderate and negative relationship between perception of corporate reputation and turnover intention. When the influence of corporate reputation on employees’ attitudes and behaviours is taken into account, it is recommended that managers should focus on practices that increase employees’ perception of corporate reputation.

Mediation role of job satisfaction towards effect of conflict roles on organizational commitment

The current study aimed at analyzing as well as determining job satisfaction on organizational commitment in non-medical employees at Indonesia private hospitals. It examined the influence of role conflict on organizational commitment. The population in this study were all non-medical employees of Private Hospitals in Mataram City- Indonesia. The total samples were 118 employees. The researchers, in collecting data, applied techniques of questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. After that, the data were analyzed using 3.0 Partial Least Square (PLS) program. The results of this study have indicated that the role of conflict has got a negative and significant effect on organizational commitment. It has also got a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction has got a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. The role conflict itself, through job satisfaction mediation, has got a negative and significant effect on organizational commitment.

Organizational Perceived Victimization and Aggressive Behaviour as a Defence Against Others’ Aggression Among Hospital Employees

This study investigates the relationship among perceived victimisation and aggressive behaviour in terms of demographic variables of employees of private hospitals. We explored whether the perceived victimisation could lead to aggressive behaviour toward perpetrator as a coping strategy. Participants were 142 employees of 3 private hospitals in city of Mersin, Turkey. Questionnaire included questions according to demographical variables, Perceived Victimization Scale developed by [26] and Aggressive Behaviour Scale by [37]. Pearson’s correlation and descriptive statistical analysis were done. The data obtained from this work reveal that female perceive indirect victimisation more than males, as age and professional experience increases the likelihood of aggressive behaviour toward perpetrator increases too.

EXAMINING THE IMPACT OF ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE INFORMATION IN PROVIDING SERVICE IN HOSPITAL LEVEL OF HORMOZGAN PROVINCE

Objective: Examining the impact of access to healthcare information in providing service in hospital level was performed in Hormozgan province. The study is applied in objective respect. Methods: The statistical population of this study includes managers and employees of private hospitals of Hormozgan province who are 3240 persons that based on Morgan sample content table, 380 persons were specified as research sample. The questionnaire has been adjusted based on 5-value Likert scale. For analysis of collected data, Pierson correlation coefficient test using SPSS software version 18 and structural equations approach (pathway analysis) using AMOS software version 20 has examined and tested the research hypotheses. Results: There is a positive and direct relation between access to healthcare information and providing services with correlation coefficient of 0.712. The results structural equation showed that access to healthcare information with pathway factor of 0.82 influences providing service. Conclusion: On the basis of results, with healthcare information it is suggested that topics relating to providing services to be noticed by authorities. Total and Partial Effect of Administrative Empowerment on the Dimensions of Job Performance: A Field Study at the Private Hospitals in the Capital Sana'a, Yemen

This study aimed at investigating the total and partial effect of administrative empowerment on the performance dimensions at the private hospitals in the capital Sana’a, Yemen and its role in enhancing and improving the performance of the employees. The study adopted the descriptive and analytical design. A questionnaire was used for collecting the data. After the analysis of the data, the study findings revealed that there was a significant positive effect of administrative empowerment on the job performance and its dimensions. Results also showed that there was a positive effect of empowerment dimensions on the job performance. Delegation was not among the other empowerment dimensions that had an effect on job performance. The study recommended that attention should be paid to the aspects of administrative empowerment which may provide employees with an atmosphere of freedom such as delegation and participation to proceed to advanced stages of administrative empowerment. The study also stressed the need to adopt constructs that measure the possibility of empowering employees in private hospitals based on the criteria of periodic performance evaluation. It is important to train employees who are very close to customers.

Effects of intrapreneurship on patient safety culture: A private hospital implementation

Introduction and Objectives: One of the aims of health care quality is patient safety. As a result of medical errors, patient safety has become very important. The basis for providing safe care for patients is the promote patients safety culture in the hospitals. In order to enhance this culture, it is important to have human resources who have intrapreneurial qualities. Materials and Methods: This research has been applied to private hospital employees. In the study, measures that have proven validity and reliability were used. The survey constructed from these measures was conducted among the employees with face to face interview technique. Survey results were analyzed using SPSS program. Results: 74.5% of the participants were female, 52.2% were married and 26.2% were between 21-25 years of age. When we look at their education level; 28.9% of them have associate degree and 26.8% of them have bachelorÂ’s degree. According to weekly working hours; 50% of them have worked for 41 to 50 hours. When we look at their profession; 48.5% of the participants were nurses. The Cronbach Alpha value of the measure was 0.887. Influence of Emotional Labour on Job Satisfaction among Employees of Private Hospitals

Background: With globalization, world has become so competitive that every organization is cracking the hard nut to obtain the reward from this. Service sector has been working on the mantra that customer is the king. Purpose: The objective of this study is to find out the influence of emotional labour on job satisfaction among employees in selected private hospitals of Punjab. The data were collected from 586 employees through stratified random sampling. Methods: Dutch questionnaire on emotional labour (D-QEL) developed and validated by Näring, Briët & Brouwers (2007) and job satisfaction tool by Sharma and Tripathy (2010) were used to collect the data. Descriptive statistics was applied to check the level of emotional labour and job satisfaction, t-test and ANOVA were applied for testing hypothesis. Structural equation modelling was applied to find out the influence of emotional labour on job satisfaction. Conclusions: There was no significant difference in the level of emotional labour and job satisfaction for demographic variables such as age, gender, marital status, designations and years of experience. There was a significant influence of emotional labour on job satisfaction of the employees in selected private hospitals of Punjab. Emotional labour was negatively related with job satisfaction. The Different Perceptions of Public and Private Hospital Staff on Comprehensive Neonatal Obstetric Care

This study discusses the staff's understanding of an existing maternal and neonatal program in Indonesia, namely the PONEK (Comprehensive Neonatal Emergency Obstetrics Services) program which is specifically held in Government Hospital or Private Hospital which is designated as PONEK hospital, research This focuses on comparing the performance of staff to the PONEK program of the hospital. The role of medical staff in running a program of health organizations is very influential in the success of a health program and service delivery. PONEK is a government program in order to minimize health problems in Indonesia, especially maternal and infant morbidity. This study aims to see differences in staff perceptions related to understanding the performance of ponek program. Method: The total number of samples in this study were 41 respondents (21 respondents Government Hospital and 19 respondents Private Hospital), statistical analysis used in this study is Mann Whitney. Result: Of the 6 factors that affect the performance, there are 2 factors that have a significant difference, that is cooperation factor with p-value 0,01 <ɑ (0,05) and support of superior with p-value 0,024 <ɑ (0,05). Conclusion: From the above results, the performance of private hospital employees compared to government hospitals has significant differences in terms of cooperation factors and support factors of supervisors.

Effects of occupational commitment on corporate reputation: An empirical test for a hospital case in North Cyprus

The reputation of a corporation in its stakeholders’ eye is a very important factor which opens the doors to be privileged and successful by creating awareness in a business environment where the competition is high. The most important stakeholders which influence reputation is employees who have an important role for the corporation to survive. Each occupation requires a high commitment. However, individuals working in the health field have a priority according to other fields. The purpose of the study is to reveal the relationship between occupational commitment and corporate reputation of healthcare staff. The dimensions of occupational commitment of a private hospital employees was examined and their perception in terms of their own corporate as employees was measured. In conclusion, it was concluded that the affective commitment highly affects the social environment of the business environment, product performance, and vision leadership, which are some of the dimensions of the corporate reputation and were grouped as a result of the measurement. In addition, it was found out that the dimensions of corporate reputation can be reduced by being collected under different titles.

Correlations and Organisational Effects of Compensation and Benefits, Job Satisfaction, Career Satisfaction and Job Stress in Public and Private Hospitals in Lucknow, India

The present study compares the organisational effect of compensation and benefits in public and private hospitals. It was observed that private hospital employees were more satisfied with their compensation and benefits as compared to the employees of government hospitals. Furthermore, the employees who were satisfied with their compensation and benefits were also found to be satisfied with their jobs.

The correlation effects between recruitment, selection, training, development and employee stress, satisfaction and commitment: findings from a survey of 30 hospitals in India

The paper explores the correlation effects of recruitment, selection, training and development in public and private hospitals of India. The data was collected using a questionnaire survey method from the medical staff including doctors, nurses and administrators of 30 (15 private and 15 government) hospitals in India. The data was analysed using statistical measures like descriptive statistics, correlation and regression. The results revealed that the public hospital employees were more satisfied with their recruitment and selection process, less committed to their organisation and experienced lower levels of occupational stress than the employees of private hospitals. Furthermore, the healthcare personnel who were satisfied with the recruitment, selection, training and development process were also found to be satisfied with their job and career. These persons are more committed to their organisation and experienced lower levels of occupational stress.

Overview of hospital employees about quality and accreditation activities: A comparative analysis

Objective: The importance of the quality and accreditation activities is increasing day by day for each health institute seeking to obtain a competitive advantage in today’s health care system. It is very important to turn these activities to corporate culture by evaluating them from viewpoint of the health employees. It was aimed to evaluating the quality and accreditation activities from viewpoint of employees with this study prepared in this context. Method: Research was carried out in three centers to cover an accredited private hospital, a Public Hospital of the Ministry of Health and a Military Hospital. The obtained data were evaluated in the database of Statistical Package for Social Science for Windows (SPSS 15). Result and conclusion: In the result of the study, it was concluded that accredited private hospital employees had high level of knowledge on quality and accreditation activities (X :3,65); employees in Public Hospital of the Ministry of Health were encouraged to participate in quality and accreditation activities by senior management ( X :3,06); and quality activities in Military Hospital were evaluated that they will increase the competitive power of hospital (X :3,28)

The influence of demographics and work related goals on adaptive development for work related learning amongst private hospital employees

Contemporary lifespan development models of adaptive development have been applied to the workforce to examine characteristics of the ageing employee. Few studies have examined adaptive development in terms of worker perceptions of workplace, or their learning and development issues. This study used the recently developed Revised Learning and Development Survey to investigate employee selection and engagement of learning and development goals, opportunities for learning and development at work, and constraints to learning and development at work. Demographic and career goal variables were tested amongst a sample of private hospital employees, almost all of whom were nurses. Workers under 45 years of age perceived greater opportunities for training and development than more mature aged workers. Age and physical demands interacted such that physical demands of work were associated with lower engagement in learning and development goals in mature aged workers. The opposite was observed amongst younger workers. Engagement in learning and development goals at work predicted goals associated with an intention to decrease work hours or change jobs to a different industry when opportunities to learn via work tasks were limited. At the same time limited opportunities for training and development and perceptions of constraints to development at work predicted the intention to change jobs. Results indicate consideration must be paid to employee perceptions in the workplace in relation to goals. They may be important factors in designing strategies to retain workers.

Transactional Versus Transformational Style of Leadership—Employee Perception of Leadership Efficacy in Public and Private Hospitals in Kuwait

To determine whether employees working for a transformational leader perceive their leader as more effective than do those working for a transactional leader. To assess whether employees in private hospitals are more likely to perceive their leaders as transformational than are employees in public hospitals. A questionnaire study of a random sample of employees working at 4 hospitals (private and public) in Kuwait; 266 respondents included. Analysis of varience and regression analysis showed that the transformational style of leadership was linked to high level of employee perception of leadership efficacy. Also, the employees in private hospitals were more likely to perceive their leaders as transformational than were employees in public hospitals. Hospitals in Kuwait may benefit by recruiting leaders with a transformational style, as it is directly related to quality, employee satisfaction, increased productivity, and employee perception of leadership efficacy.
