ON THE USE OF THE METHOD OF EXPEDIENT PROBLEMS TO ACTIVATE STUDENTS' COGNITIVE ACTIVITY IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING MATHEMATICS IN THE NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL

Formulation of the problem. The motivation of students to study a subject at school largely depends on the methodology used by the teacher in the teaching process, and his or her ability to convey new knowledge to students in an interesting and accessible form. This problem becomes especially relevant in the context of the New Ukrainian School project, which involves shifting the emphasis in the learning process from the teacher to the student and puts in the forefront the needs of the latter. For a child to be interested in learning and sufficiently motivated, a teacher should have an answer to the question "Why do we need to learn this?" The method of expedient problems gives one of the possible answers to this question, helps the teacher to motivate the student to study mathematics, and indicates directions for further use of mathematical knowledge. The importance of developing students' ability to apply mathematical knowledge in practice is further confirmed by the results of the International Comparative Studies PISA 2018 and PISA 2022, as well as statistical reports of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment in Mathematics. Materials and methods. To achieve our goal, we use a theoretical analysis of the methodological literature related to the chosen research topic. We also implement empirical methods, including conducting our own survey via Google Forms, observing the educational process in secondary schools, and analyzing students’ performance. Results. To study the feasibility and possibility of using the method of expedient problems in teaching mathematics in the NUS, we surveyed 290 mathematics teachers with different pedagogical experiences and qualifications from all regions of Ukraine. In particular, we assumed the effectiveness of using expedient problems in the process of teaching mathematics. The survey was conducted anonymously and online via the Google Forms platform. The results of the survey show that a significant number of respondents are familiar with the method of expedient problems and regularly or constantly use such tasks in the learning process. In addition, they are convinced of the need to include such tasks in existing math textbooks. The survey also shows at what stages of the lesson and when studying which content areas of the mathematics course, in the opinion of the respondents, it is most appropriate to use the method of expedient problems. Conclusions. To ensure the proper quality of students' acquisition of the necessary competencies envisaged by the New Ukrainian School project, the use of appropriate tasks at different stages of the lesson and in the study of different content areas of the school mathematics course is quite appropriate and possible. Although only half of the surveyed teachers currently use such tasks in their pedagogical activities regularly, most of the respondents consider them useful. In addition, teachers express a wish to provide methodological support for the effective implementation of appropriate tasks in the educational process, in particular, in the form of ready-made didactic materials and methodological recommendations for their creation.

Methodological features of tourist and land knowable activity in general secondary education institutions

The purpose of the work is to systematization and analysis of literature data reveals the organizational and methodological foundations of tourism and local lore work of schoolchildren, which are effective, efficient and very powerful means of educating a comprehensive and harmoniously developed creative personality of schoolchildren. The results of modern scientific research show that a significant amount of empirical and theoretical and methodological material has been accumulated, which shows that the use of various forms of tourism and local lore provides a comprehensive nature in the education, upbringing and rehabilitation of schoolchildren. The study of psychological and pedagogical foundations of tourist and local lore work is primarily related to improving the educational process of secondary school, systematization of content, forms and main tasks of tourist and local lore work of schoolchildren. On the basis of the conducted research it is established that tourist and local lore activity has an effective contribution to the development of personal potential of students; is an important direct extracurricular education and upbringing. It is aimed at involving children in active activities to study the history of the native land, environment, geography, historical places and phenomena of public life and the formation of a fully educated personality.

Environmental maps as a component of methodological support for secondary education

The article is devoted to the main aspects of the use of environmental maps to ensure the ecologization of the educational process in secondary schools. The absence of ecology as an independent discipline in the list of disciplines taught in secondary schools was noted. Various methods of implementing environmental education are considered. Normative documents defining the list of cartographic support used in secondary schools are presented. The influence of distance learning on the approach of teachers to the application of GIS in teaching and control of students' knowledge is characterized. The experience of using the educational and methodical GIS "Living Geography" for these purposes is considered. Three main directions of the use of digital maps and GIS in the educational process of secondary schools have been formulated. The stated need to create cartographic support for secondary schools based on the principles of practice-oriented.

Information technologies of teaching in a secondary school

The conference participants are offered components of the educational and methodological complex in physics, which are obtained not by advanced pedagogical experience, ie by trial and error, but by detailed and complete analysis and calculation of structures and algorithms of the educational process in secondary school and its individual components. It is a guide for students, systematization of educational information, algorithm for solving physical problems, solving standard physical problems on a computer, diagnosing student performance and rating assessment of knowledge.

Continuity of the educational process in secondary school in natural subjects

The article explains such concepts as continuity, pedagogical continuity, and the main provisions for the implementation of the principle of continuity. The analysis of the works of teachers who studied this principle is carried out. The main directions of the principle of continuity in the educational process were also shown, which include: the implementation of continuity through the connection of new educational material with the previous topic; the implementation of continuity through the expansion and deepening of the knowledge base available to students; the implementation of continuity in the assimilation of the new proposed material at a high level, the implementation of continuity in the development, improvement of existing knowledge among students when mastering new knowledge; the implementation of continuity in the process of repeating the educational material, i.e. along with the reproduction of the material passed by comparing and contrasting it. The article shows the ways of implementing the main directions of the principle of continuity.

To the Guestion of the Formation of Cultural Literacy of Belarusian Junior Schoolchildren

The subject of the study in the article is the phenomenon of cultural literacy of junior schoolchildren in the context of the educational process in secondary schools of the Republic of Belarus. The relevance of the investigated problem is due to significant changes in the education system, which implies the development of the student’s personality, which is not simply subject knowledge and skills, but by a whole complex of universal skills that make up new, or functional literacy. In the context of this literacy, our interest causes cultural literacy as the ownership of cultural and marked information, which is part of the ordinary consciousness of most national culture carriers. The purpose of this article is to disclose a possible approach to the process of forming cultural literacy of primary school students. To achieve the goal, a theoretical analysis of scientific literature was used, as well as a descriptive method, which allows to transmit the specific features of realities that are carriers of culturally significant information. The methodological basis was the cultural, anthropocentric and competence concept of education. The formation of cultural literacy of younger schoolchildren requires use in the educational process of adequate scientific and methodological support. As a base and tool, we offer a dictionary of cultural realities, which includes the optimal information on the student of primary classes the amount of information on the extralinguistic and linguistic signs of world and national culture. We consider the working notebook for the student and guidelines for the teacher to be the recommended accompanying elements of the dictionary. Such an educational and methodical complex will help to ensure not only the formation of cultural literacy as an element of functional literacy, but also the education of the student who has the qualities of a sincere patriot and a citizen of their country.

DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE THINKING OF A MODERN TEACHER

Objective of the article is to analyze the new approaches in the education system, new pedagogical thinking, and a new attitude of the teacher to his activities, the result of which is the upbringing of an “innovative person”. Methods. The main scientific results are obtained using a complex of general scientific research methods, namely: systematization and generalization, theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis. Results. At the modern level of development of civilization, a special role is played by the innovative potential of society, which needs people who are able to think systematically and constructively, quickly find the necessary information, take adequate decisions, and create new ideas in various fields of knowledge. This, in turn, forms a social demand for new approaches in the educational system, new pedagogical thinking, and a new attitude of the teacher to his activities, the result of which is the upbringing of an “innovative person”. The ideas of the Ukrainian school’s graduates about their future are associated with personal activity, entrepreneurship and individual creativity, are perceived and evaluated through the range of concepts such as «career success», «performance», «high level of income». Socially and economically unsuccessful subjects cease to be the standard of the educational ideal, the vector of moral orientation is developed in the direction of increasing respect for a person who has formed itself, a competent person. The educational process in secondary schools is carried out by the existing staff of teachers, who, for the most part, implement their professional activities based on patterns of perception of activity and behaviour that were formed a long time ago. They consciously or unconsciously deliver ideological, socio-cultural attitudes that are irrelevant for young people, focusing on their preferences and behavioural stereotypes. The introduction of competence-based and personality-oriented learning is a necessity, a response to the existence of a problematic field of educational modifications, the irreversibility of which is now obvious to everyone. The transition from a knowledge-based approach to competence-based, in which theoretical knowledge becomes not the main goal of the educational process, but a means of ensuring a person’s success in his chosen field of activity, is declared in all state educational documents. But in the routine and actually determining the behaviour of the current motivational attitudes, many of them often do not want to listen to the opinions of others, reflect the shortcomings, mistakes, are not ready to spend time developing more effective forms of work, encourage students to improve the quality of learning, are not always ready for creativity and innovations. There are enough methods to find new ideas. Which of the methods to choose depends on the initial conditions of the task and the set of the participants. We have reviewed some of them and would like you to test their effectiveness during the practical work.

Improvement of School Education in the Conditions of a New Stage of Development in the Republic of Uzbekistan

The author of the article investigated the process of improving school education in a new stage of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The article emphasizes the role of school education in the implementation of democratic reforms during the implementation of the strategy of actions for the further development of the country. The author of the article made an attempt to reveal the mission of school education in a developing civil society. Topical issues of the educational process of secondary schools, in the upbringing of the younger generation and the practical significance of the activity of teachers in the context of modernization of the content and methods of teaching in secondary schools are investigated. An important innovative element in the work of secondary schools is that under the new conditions in the country there is a process of formation of private schools and an increase in the number of specialized schools, where certain fundamental subjects are studied according to a special, in-depth program. The country has made an attempt at an innovative approach in the process of improving school education and teaching children. In the context of the deepening development of the market economy in the country, the teaching staff performs an important mission in the implementation of social policy, ensuring the educational process in secondary schools, including a dynamic increase in the number of students participating in international Olympiads, in attracting students to the study of foreign languages. It should be noted that high school graduates are actively involved in deepening democratic reforms and ensuring human rights. A modern high school graduate is a powerful intellectual potential for the country, they make a worthy contribution to the future, the process of digitalization of society, the development of small business and private entrepreneurship. High school graduates pass a test selection and become university students in foreign, developed countries of the world. An integrated scientific approach to the study of the learning process in secondary schools shows that education in schools is closely linked with the goal of the ongoing democratic reforms in the country and the deepening of the market mechanism in all spheres of socio-economic life. It should be noted that the desire to improve the quality of the educational process in secondary schools has a potential impact on attracting talented young people to study at universities, technical schools, academic lyceums and professional colleges. In the process of school education, students are introduced to the knowledge necessary for the whole life of each person, which is considered a guideline for determining the future, finding a worthy place for a student in a competitive and globalized environment. The country has created equal legal conditions for high school graduates for admission to higher educational institutions.

Effect of the Physical Education and Sport Classes on the Physical Capacity of Children with Special Educational Needs

In this study was to determine the impact of physical education and sports lesson on the physical capacity of children with special egitime needs and on this basis to outline the main directions for of educational process in secondary schools. Totally, 67 students region Kars in the of Turkey from 22 secondary education school participated in this study. They divided into groups according to their gender and health status; children with normal physical and mental development (24 boys, 18 girls; control group) and children with special education needs (15 boys, 10 girls; experimental group). Children's height, weight and Body Mass Index (BMI) were used a standard methodology, a manual dynamometer to measure the strength of the upper limb and a test battery to determine their physical capacity. Regarding inclusive education, questionnaires were collected from physical education teachers. Results were compared with the total sample and between the two target groups. According to the findings of the research, when the change in physical capacity characteristics of boys and girls with and without special education needs is examined; Sprint 20 m, Hand Dynamometer - appropriate upper limb, Dynamometry - Inappropriate upper limb, Throwing a thick ball, Jumping to length, Crunches, 400 m running, Depth of inclination, after the experiment; although it has different effects on the physical capacities of children with cognitive, hearing and vision problems, it has not statistically significant compared to the groups In order to develop the physical capacity of children with special educational needs, physical education and sports lesson activities should be increased, and new models should be developed. Limitations, suggestions for future research and implications for practice are discussed.

Виявлено, що ефективному результату процесу розвитку і формування екологічної культури у молодших школярів сприяє комплекс педагогічних умов: створення еколого-виховного середовища у закладі вищої освіти; впровадження нових освітніх технологій у позааудиторній екологічній діяльності студентів; удосконалення чинних та розробка низки спецкурсів з широкого спектру проблем екологічного виховання.

How to Train Physical Education Teacher to Detect Physical and Social Adaptation Criteria and to Use Them in Education Activity

The problem of primary to secondary school transition is common extremely acute for all teachers. The role of physical education teacher in its solution has several features. One of them is necessity of preserving not only physical health, but also psychological comfort and fixing healthy lifestyle habits. The goal of this article is to determine the health culture forming criteria for primary school pupil and to find the most effective methods of teaching physical education students to use them in school educational process. As a result of research primary school pupil’s health culture components and their functions in adaptation to secondary school process were determined. Also a complex of common and special criteria was presented. This one allows to young physical education teachers to draw individual plans for comfortable adaptation of their pupils to new realities of educational process in secondary school.

The content of psycho-physiological features of improving the process of developing teamwork skills of students in grades 1-4 in general secondary schools

The following article deals with the recommendations to improve educational process in secondary schools. Pedagogical leadership within the collective life and collective's activities were analyzed as well. The traditional school is aimed at solving two main problems. Firstly, it must provide students with a great knowledge, and secondly, prepare them for life, forming the most important skills and abilities. Thus, in the traditional course of study, development has been relegated to the background for a long time. New social demands force teachers to abandon traditional teaching methods; there is a need to master new developing educational technologies.

Ефективність варіативного модуля «Спортивна боротьба» у фізичному вихованні учнів 10-11 класів

In the modern system of school education, there are approaches to the implementation of physical education content with the help of various variable modules based on the sports means use. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the variable module "Wrestling" in the physical education of high school students on the main indicators of preparedness. Material and methods. The organization of study provided that during the 2017-2019 school years in Shchyrets secondary school №1 I-III degrees named after the Hero of Ukraine Bohdan Ilkiv of Shchyrets village council we introduced an experimental module "Wrestling" into the educational process of high school students in the discipline "Physical Culture". In general, in the 2017-2019 academic years to our study were involved 53 students of 10th forms (31 boys and 22 girls). In the 2017-2019 academic year – 74 students of 11th forms (41 boys and 33 girls). We used the following methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical data of and sources of the Internet, analysis of documentary materials, pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. There were selected 8 tests which determined the general preparedness, 12 tests for special preparedness. To determine the technical and tactical preparedness of students we fixed six basic groups of techniques which they had to demonstrate. Results and discussion. There are established the indicators of efficiency according to the percentage values of changes in the main groups of indicators (general, special, technical and tactical preparedness) of high school students. Finding out the level of general competencies allowed us to substantiate that there were significant changes in all indicators (p≤0.05–0.01). According to the analysis of special preparedness (competencies), we obtained a significant (p≤0.01) improvement in the results of most tests and control exercises. The percentage values can be observed significant variability in the levels of representatives’ changes in different subgroups. Conclusion. The study confirms a number of experts’ opinions that high school students need a little more time to form a sustainable level of preparedness and more profound adaptive changes in indicators of different preparedness components. The implementation of the structure and content of the variable module significantly affected the level of general and special competencies and technical and tactical preparedness of high school students (both girls and boys). РОЛЬ ЕТНОПЕДАГОГІЧНОГО ПІДХОДУ У ПРАКТИЦІ ПІДГОТОВКИ ВЧИТЕЛЯМУЗИКАНТА ДО МИСТЕЦЬКО-ПЕДАГОГІЧНОЇ ДІЯЛЬНОСТІ У ШКОЛІ

The paper outlines the importance of ethnopedagogical approach in the practice of training musical art teachers in a higher art institution, highlights the need for deep modernization of Ukrainian ethnopedagogy achievements in modern conditions. The article defines the purpose and significance of this phenomenon, introduction of which into the educational process of the HEI can ensure successful artistic development of future teachersmusicians and their readiness for further music-pedagogical activities with elements of ethnopedagogical direction in conditions of the educational process of the secondary schools. Implementation of the ethnopedagogical approach in the process of professional training of musical art teachers will ensure successful realization of the Ukrainian national idea, will contribute to the formation of students’ national consciousness, will help them to learn universal values. Through the feeling of the richness of the sound palette of his people’s art, the personal traits of the future teacher-musician (sensitivity and intelligence, emotionality) will be nurtured, which in turn will improve his professional level. This will intensify cognitive activity of the future teachers-musicians, develop their musical and aesthetic representations, increase the overall level of musical and aesthetic culture, guide their moral beliefs accordingly. Introduction of the ethnopedagogical approach in the process of professional training of students of music-pedagogical specialties is closely related to the further development of the system of music and aesthetic education of our students, where the teacher is a kind of a mediator for the child to learn about the world. Therefore, to ensure the effective work of graduates of higher art institutions, the issue of using material from the national musical and musical-pedagogical heritage is relevant not only in the process of ethnopedagogical training in universities, but also directly in the educational process in secondary schools.

Role of Social Media Sites in Improving and Developing the Educational Process in Secondary Schools in Jordan

This study aims to learn about the role of social media sites in improving and developing the educational process in secondary schools in Jordan, the descriptive analytical method was used to suit the nature of the study, and the questionnaire was used as a tool for study, and the sample of the study consisted of (50) of teachers working in secondary schools in Jordan. The results of the study found that high degree and statistical significance for the role of social networking sites in developing and improving the educational process in secondary schools. The study recommends that Holding seminars and meetings to publicize the importance of social networking sites in the educational process, and ways to use them safely and correctly, and Provide training courses for teachers to inform them of how to use social media sites and their tools and applications in the educational process.

The Processes of Bureaucratization and Debureaucratization of Teachers’ Work and Their Influence on the Quality of Teachers’ Professional Activity: Sociological Project Results

Introduction. The article for the first time structures the types of additional responsibilities of teachers, not underpinned by local regulations. The proposals for debureaucratization of the educational process in secondary schools are generalized. The aim of the study is to reveal the impact of bureaucratic burden on the social feeling of teachers of general secondary education facilities, the quality of their professional activities and to develop proposals for debureaucratization of teachers’ work. Materials and Methods. A survey of managers and teachers of educational institutions covered more than 3,000 respondents. As additional sources for the interpretation of the data, we used the methods of group interviews (two focus groups conducted among rural teachers), as well as a secondary analysis of data from the international study of the educational environment and working conditions of secondary school teachers (TALIS), conducted in 48 countries, including Russia. Results. The study broadened the idea of the impact of bureaucratization of the education system on the quality of professional activity and the social well-being of teachers. Intensification of bureaucratization of teacher work is attributed, on the one hand, to the extensive growth of additional types of work, and on the other, to the low legal awareness of teachers of educational institutions. Working with reporting documentation takes up to 90 % of the working time free from paid teaching ho urs, which practically does not leave time for the implementation of part of the pedagogical load associated with methodological, organizational and consulting activities. The study identifies activities that, according to respondents, contribute to the debureaucratization of teachers’ work. Discussion and Conclusion. The article is of interest to teachers and heads of educational organizations, regional educational authorities, and scientists, researching i nto educational problems.

The Role of Tutorials in Improving the Argumentative Skills of Secondary School Students

From the standpoint of the person-centered approach aimed at supporting students' active position and independence, the tutor's activity in the educational process of secondary school is revealed. The tutor plays a very important role in the formation of a student’s capability. Tutorials focus on improving students’ argumentative skills in a particular area of expertise, training self-reflection and teaching to put forward arguments. The article is devoted to peculiarities of applying the tutor's questioning techniques and writing essays in teaching argumentation to secondary school students. The research aims to identify the most effective ways and means of applying the given methods. The complex of modern general scientific methods has been used for task realization: theoretical methods – analysis and synthesis; empirical methods - observational (direct and indirect observation); diagnostic (expert interviews, conversations). As a conclusion, we note that conducting tutorials enables to reflect the theoretical foundations of argumentation and forms the research interest, stimulates the process of decentralization in the argumentation of students and also develops their own moral position.

Результаты экспериментальной апробации внедрения предметно-языкового интегрированного модуля для обучающихся 6-х классов на уроках английского языка

The article reveals the essence of one of the innovative forms of educational process organization in foreign language lessons – content-language integrated learning. The purpose of the study is the development and the approbation of the educational module based on this technology for 6th grade students in English lessons on the topics «Mathematics», «Biology», «Chemistry» and the search for ways to introduce it into the programs of secondary educational institutions. To achieve this goal, the following methods were used: structural analysis method (in order to identify the structure of lesson planning in the framework of content-language integrated learning); synthesis method (to characterize individual features of content-language integrated learning, to form a holistic view of it); comparative analysis, pedagogical experiment, method of concretization and generalization, systematization of the obtained data, as well as analysis of linguistic, scientific, methodological and pedagogical literature on the topic of research and methodological developments, manuals and materials of periodic publications. As a result, the advantages of using this technology in the modern educational process in secondary school were identified, they proved the feasibility and prospects of introducing this methodological model into the programs of secondary educational institutions, as well as the need to prepare future teachers for the development of teaching materials for content-language integrated lessons.
