Operations Regarding Safe Educational Institutions of Educational Institutions under the Jurisdiction of the Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Background and Aims: The purpose of this research is to study and compare the opinions of personnel regarding safe educational operations in educational institutions under the jurisdiction of Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. Classified by position educational institution size and work experience in addition, the objective is to study guidelines for promoting and developing the operation of safe educational institutions in educational institutions under the same affiliation. Methodology: The sample group used in the research consisted of 317 personnel from educational institutions under the Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 2, obtained by stratified random sampling (Stratified Random Sampling). The research instrument was the questionnaire has a 5-level rating scale with an IOC between 0.80 - 1.00 and a confidence value (Cronbach's Alpha) equal to 0.79. Structured interviews were also used to collect additional information. Statistics used in data analysis include frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, T-test (t-test) and analysis of variance (ANOVA or F-test). Results: The results of the research found that: (1) The operation of educational institutions is safe. of educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, overall and in each aspect It was found to be at a "very high" level in all aspects, which shows that the operation of safe educational institutions has been carried out efficiently in every dimension. (2) Results of comparative analysis operations in the area of ​​safe educational institutions. Classified by position It was found that there was a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level while categorizing by school size and work experience found that there was no difference. Digital Equity and Accessibility in Higher Education: Reaching the Unreached

ABSTRACTDigital equity and accessibility for higher education (HE) students have become crucial since the early 21st century, especially for underserved, deprived, marginalised and oppressed students. The present study aimed mainly to reveal the barriers to digital access (BDA) faced by marginalised groups and to find effective strategies for promoting digital inclusion (DI). Another objective of the paper was to provide actionable policy insights (API) to improve DI in Pakistani universities. Participants (students from marginalised groups who face unique barriers to accessing digital education) were selected using a simple random sampling technique from the four provinces of Pakistan (Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Baluchistan). We used a cross‐sectional research design to collect quantitative data from 590 students selected from 12 universities in Pakistan using a self‐developed questionnaire via online platforms. The study's findings revealed a significant difference in digital access for marginalised groups, which contributes to educational inequalities for students in low‐income areas and remote areas facing enormous challenges. We also identified practices to improve digital accessibility, including technology‐based interventions and policy reforms to improve digital infrastructure. Based on preliminary findings, a combined effort toward digital equity can significantly improve educational outcomes for marginalised students, providing a roadmap for universities to bridge the digital divide. The present paper not only highlights the current state of digital equity and accessibility but also focuses on practical insights for policy and teachers and ensures that universities are inclusive and accessible to everyone.

Assessing the Credibility and Motivation in E-Learning during the Covid-19 Education Shift

The purpose of this study is to assess the complex relationship between e-learning credibility and student motivation during COVID-19. Online education is growing, so educators, institutions, and governments must understand student motivation and e-learning attitudes. The study examines student COVID-19 management to discover crucial components. We explain the difficulty of e-learning credibility and its large impact on student motivation to help educators and scholars. Four research hypotheses guided the investigation; a descriptive survey design and an online questionnaire were utilized to collect data from 480 Saudi higher education students. Because of these factors, this study examines e-learning methods, tools, and approaches in today's complicated landscape. How e-learning systems motivate and engage students depends on interaction, adaptability, and reliability. This case study combines rapid educational technology advancement with pandemic-level disruption. It examines how e-learning will change post-pandemic education. The study's findings are noteworthy given the COVID-19 pandemic's widespread use of e-learning. Politicians and schools utilize them to engage pupils and enhance e-learning amid emergencies. This study may provide teachers, administrators, and instructional designers with confidence in e-learning. It may improve online learning. E-learning credibility and motivation should be studied across institutions and student populations.

Defining Disability in Policy and in Practice in México

In the interest of providing inclusive education for students with disabilities within higher education and vocational formation, it is imperative that we examine how disability is understood by the actors involved. This research examines the definition of disability as it moves from an inclusive policy in México into practice at the macro, meso, and micro levels of implementation. Two key policy documents, one from the United Nations and one from México, were examined for how they define disability. Interviews, in which participants were asked to define disability, were conducted with government workers in key entities, program directors, and students with disabilities. The definitions from both documents and the interviews were categorized by specific constructs used in disability research including the social model, the medical model, the adaptability approach, and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health. A salient finding is that the construct of disability used within policies does not permeate to the actors involved in practice. To develop a clear understanding of this construct and in the interest of cohesion across implementation, a conversation between all actors would be beneficial.

Unleashing think-aloud data to investigate self-assessment: Quantitative and qualitative approaches

BackgroundThink-aloud is a process data method that provides detailed insights into students’ cognitive, emotional, and motivational processes. This makes it an ideal method for investigating self-assessment as, the vast majority of times, it occurs internally without obvious external cues. In this paper, we present a methodological overview based on three previous empirical studies, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze think-aloud data and explore the ‘black box’ of self-assessment. MethodsA total of 67 secondary education students and 126 university students participated concurrently thinking-aloud while self-assessing academic tasks they had previously completed. ResultsWe compare our two methodological approaches to analyzing think-aloud data, highlighting the coding schemes, data analysis techniques, and the critical decisions made during the think-aloud process. ConclusionsOur findings demonstrate how think-aloud can be effectively employed through complementary quantitative and qualitative methods, providing a comprehensive understanding of the self-assessment phenomena.

Technologies for ensuring the unity of physical and military-patriotic education of high school students

The article examines the content and technologies of the unity of physical and military-patriotic education of high school students. It is highlighted that the relevance of the research is determined by society's need for a self-sufficient, goal-oriented, decisive, self-confident individual who is able to realize his role in the life of the state, to take an active part in applied physical training, physical culture and health activities and social life, to be ready to protect the Motherland , devoted to her interests. The article mentions the study of modern psychological and pedagogical literature on the studied category. The results of the analysis of the practice of educational work of general secondary education institutions confirm that the levels of physical and military-patriotic education of high school students do not meet modern requirements in the conditions of martial law. It is highlighted that the content of applied physical training consists in the fact that high school students (future soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) during the lessons of physical culture and "Defense of Ukraine" acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities about physical and tactical-technical training, physical, the need to overcome significant physical exertion and adverse factors of combat activity. In our opinion, using the unity of physical and military-patriotic education in the process of applied physical training helps high school students to gain the necessary knowledge and ideas, new interesting practical experience; try yourself in various physical and mass activities and military-patriotic roles; to acquire the necessary skills and abilities to work in a team. Also, the benefit of this research lies in the actualization of important functions of education, namely: increasing the levels of physical fitness, physical and military-patriotic upbringing of schoolchildren in conditions of armed and informational aggression; increasing the level of readiness of students to serve in the Armed Forces, other military formations and the defense of Ukraine; protection of high school students from hostile information and propaganda influence.

Correspondence of self-assessment of physical development according to indicators of physical fitness of higher education acquires

The purpose of the work is to study the correspondence of self-assessment of physical development according to indicators of physical fitness of students of higher education to determine the effectiveness of pedagogical control in the process of motor activity. To achieve the goal, the following research methods were used: data analysis of scientific and methodological literature, regulatory and legal documents, programs on physical culture, pedagogical testing of physical fitness, methods of mathematical statistics, test-questionnaire E.V. Bochenkova "Self-description of physical development". To study the individual profile of the physical "I" of the individual, we used the test-questionnaire of E. V. Bochenkova "Self-description of physical development". The questionnaire included 70 statements related to the field of physical development of a person and an indicator of general self-esteem. The purpose of this technique is to study the peculiarities of self-esteem of boys and girls and to compare the obtained data. Research was conducted on the basis of the Lutsk National Technical University, at the Faculty of Digital, Educational and Social Technologies with students of higher education. The conducted studies revealed the inadequacy of the self-assessment of physical fitness of higher education students, which indicates the importance of theoretical coverage and practical implementation in physical education classes of the section of pedagogical control and self-control of physical fitness, which should be an incentive for self-improvement of boys and girls in the process of physical activity.

Value for Value: Social Entrepreneurship Education Through Value Creation Extracurricular Activity

Social entrepreneurship education is instrumental in developing future change agents to help tackle major social challenges. However, there is limited research on the effective teaching methods and theoretical bases that guide social entrepreneurship educators and students. This study extends this discourse by integrating value creation and experiential learning through extracurricular activities. Using a longitudinal quasi-experimental design in a natural setting, we examined the impact of participation and active engagement of students in social value creation extracurricular activity on their social entrepreneurial intention and self-efficacy. Our findings indicate that value-creation extracurricular activity positively impacts social entrepreneurial intention and self-efficacy. Our research establishes a theoretical basis that guides educators and students in social entrepreneurship education and demonstrates the effectiveness of the value-creation approach through extracurricular activity in teaching social entrepreneurship.

The White privilege of self-determination in entrepreneurship: how educational supports pipeline White students into business ownership

Worker cooperative entrepreneur spaces are predominantly White despite these companies building the foundation of their business model on equity and sustainability. While some studies have investigated racism in entrepreneurship development, no in-depth study has investigated White privilege in this space. Therefore, this study used a qualitative critical narrative analysis approach to explore White privilege in the entrepreneurship journeys of six White individuals who formed a worker cooperative business. Findings suggest that formal and informal educational experiences fostered four themes of White privilege in entrepreneurship: belongingness and competence in privileged entrepreneurship identity, resource-rich support systems, anti-meritocracy perceptions of competence, and privileged psychology of wealth. Findings suggest that educational spaces foster basic psychological needs of intrinsic motivation required for entrepreneurship, however, racialized gatekept access to these spaces perpetuates racial disproportionality in entrepreneurship. This article concludes with situating findings within self-determination theory and discussions of study limitations, implications, and future directions.

Sports and activity games as a means of increasing the motive activity of educators

At the current stage, the problem of insufficient movement mode of the participants of the educational process, which negatively affects their physical development and the state of mental processes, in particular: feeling, perception, thinking, memorization, attention, needs special attention. This fact reduces the success of studies to some extent. Therefore, it is necessary to look for ways to use such means of motor activity that would contribute to the improvement of the physical and psychological condition of students. The goal is to reveal the peculiarities of the use of mobile and sports games in the educational process of physical education in higher education institutions as a means of improving the motor activity of students. Research results. The expediency of using the sports and game method in the process of physical education of students, which provides sufficient physical activity and contributes to strengthening health, forms moral and willpower qualities of the individual, is revealed. A rich arsenal of sports games, including basketball, volleyball, mini-football, their nature, structure and intensity are highlighted. It is noted that with the help of sports games, students develop important physical qualities: strength, speed, dexterity, endurance, consolidate and improve various skills and abilities in walking, running, jumping. Attention is paid to the careful selection of mobile games, taking into account the physical fitness and interests of students, their capabilities, which will make it possible to diversify classes and form the necessary motor skills. Conclusions. The use of the sports and game method in physical education classes contributes to the comprehensive development of the student's personality, as it causes positive emotions, a sense of satisfaction, cheerfulness, activity, and has a positive effect on physical and mental development.

Innovative methods of teaching the discipline "Gymnastics with teaching methods"

Gymnastics as a discipline in a modern higher education institution plays an important role in the physical and comprehensive development of students. It covers not only physical exercises, but also has pedagogical, social and educational value. Gymnastics contributes to the education of students in a conscious attitude to their health, physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. It also forms habits of regular physical exercises, which is an important factor in the prevention of various diseases. Innovative technologies can be introduced into the process of teaching gymnastics to improve the quality of teaching. This includes the use of video analysis, digital tools for monitoring physical fitness, and special programs for correcting exercise technique. Different forms of gymnastics can be taught at universities: sports, artistic, recreational, acrobatic. This gives students the opportunity to choose a direction according to their interests and level of training. Thus, gymnastics in a modern higher education institution is an integral part of the physical, professional and personal development of students, helping them not only to strengthen their health, but also to acquire important skills for later life.

Physical fitness of students of different physical health

The main didactic principle of physical education of students is the principle of accessibility (differentiation). Differentiation is based on individual capabilities of groups homogeneous in terms of physical health. Objective: to substantiate the physical prerequisites for differentiated physical education of students, taking into account their level of physical health. Material and methods. The study involved 102 first-year and second-year higher education students. The choice of these students was due to low physical fitness and deteriorating health. The study used analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological sources, pedagogical testing of physical qualities, express assessment of physical health, and sample statistical method. Conclusions: the content of physical activity (volume and intensity, duration of recovery between bouts and series of exercises) is primarily determined by the level of health of participants. Among female students, this is an average level of physical health, and among male students is an above average level. The worst physical abilities are associated with a below average level of physical health. This may be the basis for a differentiated assessment of physical fitness.

Advocacy Skill Development in Public Health Education Curriculum: A Pilot Study.

The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) released updated Responsibilities and Competencies for Health Education Specialists based on the 2020 HESPA II. For the first time, advocacy is a standalone area of responsibility (Area V: Advocacy) for health education specialists. Although this is exciting for the field of health education, there is limited consensus on how to effectively teach advocacy or what content and skills to include. Furthermore, while the HESPA II was updated, the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) criteria for advocacy have not been. This pilot study examined how CEPH-accredited programs in the United States are addressing the profession-wide advocacy competency in their health education curricula. A cross-sectional research design with single-point data collection was used to assess how CEPH-accredited university programs (including Standalone Baccalaureate Programs, Public Health Programs, and Schools of Public Health) are preparing health education students to meet the national advocacy responsibility. The survey included items from the Advocacy Area of Responsibility and potential barriers for faculty teaching advocacy. Results indicate that most programs are teaching something about advocacy, but there is no program teaching all listed sub-competencies. Barriers to including all components of the advocacy responsibility were largely related to faculty motivation, knowledge, and time. With a full responsibility area devoted to advocacy, it is reasonable to expect that programs will adjust with the profession. However, program administrators must be catalysts for these changes in their individual programs.

The purpose of the study: to consider the theoretical and methodological foundations of the myofascial release method and to study the effectiveness of its use in higher education students in physical education classes. Research methods: theoretical analysis and generalisation of scientific and methodological literature. Results of the study. The definition of the concept of ’myofascial release’ is given, the characteristics and means of this method are described, and the methodological aspects of its application are presented. The effectiveness of the use of myofascial release in physical education classes for higher education students is revealed. Conclusions. The myofascial release method, based on the research of doctors. Janet Travell, Robert Ward and John F. Barnes, demonstrates significant effectiveness in reducing muscle tension, pain and restoring muscle and fascia function through manual action on trigger points. The myofascial release technique is based on an understanding of the integrity of the fascial system, which performs protective and support functions, and disorders in which can lead to mobility restrictions and pain, which emphasises the importance of timely intervention. The use of myofascial release in physical education classes for higher education students helps to improve health, blood circulation; relieve muscle spasms; reduce muscle pain; increase joint mobility; accelerate recovery from physical activity; increase the level of endurance and flexibility; reduce the likelihood of injury. The combination of myofascial release with stretching increases its effectiveness, helping to reduce pain, improve flexibility and reduce the risk of injury. The method of myofascial release is an effective means of improving the physical condition of students, which emphasises the importance of its implementation in the system of physical education of higher education institutions.

Young Chileans Evaluate the News in order to decide how to Vote in 2022

Based on the call for the mandatory vote of young Chileans to approve or reject the draft of a new constitution for Chile in 2022, this research explored how they informed themselves about this political process and what was their assessment of the news to make their electoral decision. An ad-hoc quantitative survey was designed, applied online in 2023, to which 183 participants between 18 and 24 years old, mostly higher education students, responded. Young people consider it very important to vote in an informed manner, they are interested in current affairs, they value the professional work of journalists and they searched for news about the constitutional process. However, for more than half of them, the news did not respond to their interests. This finding is particularly relevant, since when asked what quality news is for them, they refer to information that responds to their needs. It is likely that the news industry does not sufficiently consider this young audience, which constitutes an opportunity to get to know their interests.

The prevalence, course, and risk factors of suicidal ideation and suicide attempts among students in vocational education

BackgroundWorldwide, suicide is one of the leading causes of death among adolescents and young adults. Given that suicide in this age group is common within vocational students, this study aims to provide insights into the prevalence, course, and risk factors of suicidal ideation (SI) and suicide attempts (SA) among students in vocational education over the past 10 years.MethodsThis study has a repeated cross-sectional design, utilizing data from 2013 to 2023 provided by the ‘Testjeleefstijl’ foundation in the Netherlands (‘Test Your Lifestyle’). In total, 101,182 students in vocational education completed a web-based standardized questionnaire. Univariate logistic regression was used to test the predictive value of risk factors separately (anxiety and depression, gender, age and school year) on SI and SA. In addition, a machine learning model (Berkelmans et al., 2023) ​was used for high-risk identification of combined risk factors (multivariate models).ResultsWithin vocational students, 12-month SI and SA prevalence increased from respectively 17.7% and 2.3% in schoolyear 2013–2014 to 23% and 3.2% in 2022–2023. Although female gender significantly predicted SI and SA in the univariate analyses, the multivariate models revealed that female gender decreased the likelihood of both SI (OR 0.9) and SA (OR 0.7). A high risk for anxiety and depression was the strongest predictor in the multivariate models for SI (OR 42.8) and SA (OR 19.0).ConclusionOver the past decade, the prevalence of SI and SA increased in students in vocational education, with the risk of anxiety and depression being the strongest contributing factor. While females had a higher prevalence of anxiety and depression, the results suggest these conditions tend to lead to SI and SA more quickly among male students. Early intervention in suicide prevention is crucial, highlighting the need to identify and address anxiety and depression. Vocational education schools have a critical role in this, emphasizing early screening and intervention, with specific attention to gender-specific factors.

Motivation, attitude, knowledge, and engagement towards the development of sustainability competencies among students of higher education: a predictive study

This quantitative research predictive study evaluates the roles of four variables in developing student sustainability competencies through a curricular intervention. We used the MAKE framework, i.e., (1) motivation, (2) attitude, (3) knowledge, and (4) engagement, to promote the sustainability competencies among students enrolled in four undergraduate courses during the semester of February to June 2022. We surveyed the students to determine the role of the MAKE framework variables in developing sustainability competencies. One hundred four students answered an online Google survey, which gathered the data we subsequently analyzed using IBM SPSS version 26 software. Linear regression statistical results confirmed that the four variables of MAKE have a significant correlation where motivation was highly associated with developing sustainability competencies of students. These findings can guide professors and university policymakers in implementing the MAKE framework to promote sustainable development education.

Teachers’ perspectives on determinants of educational (under)achievement of Cigano/Roma students in Portugal

ABSTRACT The presence of Cigano/Roma students in secondary education in Portugal is still a rarity, considering that less than 3% of young Ciganos/Roma attend secondary education. This article aims to highlight the need for a comprehensive understanding of the perceptions of school teachers and principals on educational (under)achievement, absenteeism and school integration of Cigano students. To this end, we analyse data from an online questionnaire survey of a sample of 819 teachers, school principals and deputy principals and other senior management staff in schools of the Metropolitan Areas. These respondents express persistent representations and stereotypes in relation to the educational trajectories of Cigano students, especially in assigning prime causes of school failure to factors relating to the students’ family or own intrinsic issues, rarely indicating institutional factors or those linked to their teaching practices. Although this is a study centred on Portugal, the lessons drawn from it can point to new directions for other contexts, as the educational achievement of Cigano students represents an opportunity and an invitation to transform and upgrade school institutions as well as the educational system as a whole, which should be more innovative, reflexive and increasingly open to the community.
