The Problem of the Educational System Integration Into the Educational Process of a Technical University

The article discusses the current and most significant provisions regarding the problem of integrating the educational aspect in the process of professional training of graduates of a technical university. The authors explore the theoretical and empirical aspects of the organization of educational activities, which methods can contribute to the development of both professional and personally significant qualities that contribute to improving professional efficiency, which has an impact on professional success and the quality of human life. Special attention is paid to how the educational process can contribute to the formation of students' critical thinking skills, independence, responsibility and readiness for continuous learning. Special attention is paid to the theoretical analysis of the relationship between the quality of the educational process and educational work, as well as their impact on the development of critical thinking, communication skills and teamwork among students. In his work, the author emphasizes the importance and importance of the educational aspect in the process of vocational training, based on research and provisions prescribed by other specialists whose scientific interest lies in the organization of the educational process during the organization of vocational training for students of a technical university. The authors emphasize the role of an interdisciplinary approach in the educational process, which allows students not only to study specialized technical disciplines in depth, but also to develop social and humanitarian competencies. Practical recommendations on the integration of educational elements into the educational process aimed at improving the effectiveness of training qualified specialists in technical disciplines are also discussed.

KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI DAN BERPIKIR KREATIF PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATERI ORGANISASI KEHIDUPAN MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING (PjBL)

21st century education encourages students to master four things: communication, collaboration, creativity, and problem solving. This study aims to: (1) determine the development of students' creative thinking skills by using the PjBL model; (2) determine the development of students' oral communication by applying the PjBL model; (3) describe the learning implementation of the PjBL model; (4) describe students' responses to the PjBL model learning model. This type of research is Pre-Experimental with One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The research sample was VII A students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Surabaya based on purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using tests, questionnaires and observations. Data analysis uses descriptive and statistical analysis with n-gain and T-test. based on the results of the study concluded: (1) there is a development of students' creative thinking skills after the application of the PjBL model with an N-Gain value of 0.68 with a “medium” category; (2) there is a development of students' oral communication skills after the application of the PjBL model indicated by an average value of 90 in the “very good” category; (3) learning with the PjBL model is carried out with the mode of “Very Good” criteria; (4) implementation with the model gets a good response from students with a percentage of 95.7%.

<p>This study aims to explore the challenges of teaching Chinese oral language in a non-target language environment, using Congo (Brazzaville) as a case study, and to propose effective solutions. To achieve this goal, we employed a case study approach, conducting a detailed analysis of the current state of Chinese oral language teaching in Congo (Brazzaville). Through field interviews and classroom observations, we systematically identified the key challenges in teaching. The study found that the lack of consistency in setting teaching goals and training systems has limited the effectiveness of oral language instruction. Furthermore, the current approach is overly focused on grammar and structure, neglecting the development of oral communication skills. Based on these findings, we recommend enhancing the training of communicative skills in Chinese oral language teaching, while also incorporating listening comprehension to address the specific needs of a non-target language environment. The results of this study provide practical insights and theoretical support for improving Chinese oral language teaching in non-target language settings.</p>

Teaching patient safety in remote consulting

ABSTRACT A significant proportion of primary care consultations now happen remotely. Although the vast majority occur safely, a recent study highlighted areas of risk which may be compounded by the limited training many GPs have received in remote consulting. To provide safe remote services, consideration needs to be given to adapting practice workflow to optimise remote care. Patients less suitable for remote consulting, either due to disease, extremes of age, disability or for social reasons should be identified and prioritised for face-to-face encounters. Training supports both the development of individual communication skills for remote care, and effective team working. Practice-based group learning events can be used to share experiences, identify resources, and consider the risks in remote care and how they can be mitigated. The paper presents some fictionalised cases, illustrating where patients came to harm, as a result of a remote consultation, and where harm was averted due to actions taken by practice teams. These can be used to support critical thinking and discussion within practice development meetings and tutorials with trainee GPs and other practice staff. Using the paper as a basis for reflection, teaching and action can facilitate the delivery of safer remote care.

Simulation Learning and Digital Transformation: a Way to Improve Students' Communication Skills

Modern medicine requires from future doctors not only in-depth knowledge, but also highly developed communication skills. The article examines the impact of simulation training, including role-playing games and work with standardized patients (SP), as well as the use of digital technologies such as virtual platforms and video materials, on the development of medical students' knowledge. The results demonstrating a significant improvement in students' KN are discussed, as well as problematic aspects related to emotional preparation are identified.

The article deals with the issue of formation and development of scientific analytical and communicative skills among humanities students at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after P. Lumumba ("RUDN University"). The study touches upon the issues of shaping competences in professional sphere taking into account multipolarity and international status of the university and its educational programmes. The study is based on the multidisciplinary approach to teaching humanities students from different countries taking into account the level of development of all kinds of speech activity,national-cultural specificities of the students and interdisciplinary approach. The article discusses an innovative interdisciplinary approach and the need to integrate technical skills into humanitarian education.

The study analyzes the characteristics of the treatment of children with acute toothache in dental departments. The object of the study was the medical records of dental institutions in St. Petersburg. The subject of the study is the treatment of children of different age groups. The time period of the study is from 2010 to 2023. Relevance. The study of pediatric dentistry issues related to intense toothache occupies a special place in many studies. This is largely due to the age characteristics of children, who, due to their lack of development of communication skills, are not able to independently control what is happening. Analyzing applications to dental clinics, special attention should be paid to the fact that a significant part of patients are children suffering from acute toothache. This phenomenon highlights the importance of a statistical study of the causes and sequences associated with the need for dental care among the younger generation. Focusing on aspects related to children’s dental care for acute toothaches opens up access to a deep understanding of the problem and the development of strategies to overcome it. The study of statistical data can reveal certain trends, which, in turn, will help to develop more effective methods of prevention and treatment of dental diseases in children. The purpose of the study: the study of statistical aspects of children’s requests for dental care for acute toothache. Materials and methods of research: analysis of scientific and practical literature, generalization, statistical and analytical analysis. As a result of the research, a review of scientific, practical, statistical information was carried out, an empirical study was conducted, and the author’s conclusions were given. Based on the analysis, which affected the frequency of children’s visits to dental institutions, the main reasons for such visits were identified. At the top of the list are preventive measures that emphasize parents’ awareness of the importance of taking care of their child’s dental health, as well as indicating the effectiveness of educational programs in the field of dentistry. They are followed by an urgent need to consult a specialist due to severe toothache caused by a variety of causes, among which there may be diseases such as pulpitis or periodontitis. The analysis of data for the period from 2010 to 2023 revealed the immutability of the main reasons for dental office attendance and the quantitative characteristics of such requests, which confirms the constant relevance of this issue

La cultura informática en la enseñanza-aprendizaje del inglés

This review article aims to analyze the impact of computer culture on the teaching and learning process of the English language. The methodology used included the systematic review of previous studies that explored the integration of computer technology in the English classroom, as well as the analysis of pedagogical approaches and technological tools used. The results revealed that incorporating computer culture in English teaching can improve variables like motivation, active participation, and the development of communication skills. Furthermore, it was observed that digital technologies offer opportunities for the individualization of learning and the creation of more interactive and dynamic educational environments. In conclusion, the importance of continuing to investigate and promote the strategic use of computer culture in the teaching of English is highlighted, with the aim of enhancing the quality and effectiveness of education in an increasingly digitalized world.

This research investigates the role of madrasa heads in implementing technology-based education in the Era of Society 5.0 in Indonesia. Madrasah heads have an important responsibility in leading educational transformation to ensure the relevance and quality of learning. This study uses an observational approach to explore effective leadership strategies in adopting educational technology, such as e-learning and other digital-based learning methods. Observation results show that structured supervision and coaching teachers in the use of technology are the keys to improving the quality of learning in madrasas. Technology adoption also contributes to the development of technology adaptation, creativity and communication skills that are important for students in the digital era.

Effective Communication In Health: Strategies For Effective Work Development

Communication is a fundamental element in human life and becomes even more crucial in the context of health, where its quality can determine the success or failure of the care provided. Within health teams, effective communication is essential not only for the exchange of information but also to ensure patient safety, prevent errors, and promote a collaborative work environment. The World Health Organization (WHO) and Brazil's Ministry of Health, through Ordinance 529/2013, recognize communication as one of the priority goals for patient safety, emphasizing that failures in this process are among the main causes of errors and adverse events in care. However, communication in health goes beyond merely passing on technical information. It involves the ability to understand and respect the cultural, emotional, and ethical aspects that permeate interactions between professionals and patients, directly affecting the quality of care and the patients' perceptions of their treatment and health. In this regard, communication emerges as a complex and multifaceted process that reflects and shapes interpersonal relationships and the functioning of health organizations, being indispensable for the promotion of safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Communication is essential for human interaction and work development, particularly in the health sector. It strengthens the bonds between the interdisciplinary team and patients, being decisive for the quality and safety of the care provided. The World Health Organization (WHO) highlights that inadequate communication can lead to errors and adverse events, compromising patient safety. In Brazil, effective communication has been established as a safety goal following Ministerial Ordinance 529/2013. Communication failures are among the main causes of adverse events, but effective, clear, and understandable communication can reduce these errors. Furthermore, the communicative process in the health context is complex as it involves different professionals and technologies that influence relationships and the quality of care. Communication is also intrinsically linked to patients' cultural and individual perceptions of health and illness, influencing how they experience and interpret care. Students' approaches to developing scientific communication skills.

Science communication is a core skill for undergraduate science students to acquire in preparation for their future careers, but studies show that this skill is underdeveloped in science graduates. The aim of this study was to discover the resources and approaches undergraduate students use to effectively develop their science communication skills and how the use of these methods relates to academic performance on a communication task. Undergraduate students undertaking a second-year biomedical science course (n = 490) were asked which approaches and resources they used to aid the development of their science communication skills, and the frequency of their responses was correlated against their laboratory report mark, using multiple regression and relative weights analysis. Students' (n = 453) use of Communication Learning in Practice for Scientists (CLIPS; an open-access interactive website on science communication), resources provided by the university, interactions with university teaching staff, and engagement with the scientific literature significantly predicted the laboratory report mark. Students enrolled in a blended format or in remote online learning only, and in different programs, performed comparably in the written report and used similar approaches and resources, other than remote students reporting more use of other online resources and students in blended learning engaging more with university resources. Together, these findings provide insight into which strategies are most helpful for undergraduate students to engage with to improve their scientific communication skills. The findings highlight that the provision of well-designed interactive communication resources, guided assessment resources, and opportunities to engage with teaching staff can assist in the development of science communication skills.NEW & NOTEWORTHY This study identifies the approaches and resources that undergraduate science students use to develop their science communication skills. It reveals which of these approaches and resources predict improved academic performance in a written science communication assessment task. The findings point to the importance of explicit guidance, and engagement with teaching staff, in advancing the development of science communication skills.

ПОТЕНЦИАЛ ИГРОВЫХ ВИДОВ СПОРТА В ФОРМИРОВАНИИ ГИБКИХ НАВЫКОВ У СТУДЕНТОВ ВУЗА

The conducted research was a continuation of the successful work carried out for several years at the Department of Youth Organization of the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin (UrFU) to study the degree of influence of various areas of extracurricular activities on the development of communicative, intellectual, managerial and other skills that are important for future specialists. The potential of sports activities as one of the most important areas of university extracurricular work for the formation of flexible skills among students is considered. The effectiveness of football, a popular game sport among young people, has been shown for their formation. Presented data on the growth of indicators of the formation of selected skills among football players by years of study. Based on the results of an expert review the survey concludes that football lessons for the majority of students are of a conscious nature and can have an impact on the success of their future professional career. The specific skills that football has the greatest impact on are identified: teamwork, the ability to make decisions in difficult situations, stress tolerance, and communication skills. It has been established that football contributes to the self-education of students in many fields of knowledge.

Portraying the English Extensive Program in an Indonesian Islamic Institution: A Case Study

This case study portrays the implementation of the English extensive program in Central Language Improvement (CLI) of an Indonesian Islamic Institution, English teacher’s strategies, and students’ perceptions of the program. The data were collected from the principal, a CLI member, an English teacher, and three students who won English competitions through observations, interviews, and documents analysis. The data were analyzed qualitatively using the framework proposed by Miles et al. (2014). The study shows several main findings: (1) the CLI is run by students with the principal and English teachers’ support, (2) the CLI contributes to the students’ communicative skills development, and (3) the CLI implements a modern Islamic boarding school-based curriculum. The findings also reveal the strategies used by the teacher for improving the students’ speaking skills are presenting grammar and vocabulary materials, conducting communicative activities, learning outside the school, and using English consistently to foster students’ engagement, using code-switching and code-mixing. The students perceive the CLI program is beneficial to increase their English and support their learning. One challenge was also revealed, as the habit of using English in the program affected their proficiency in Bahasa. The study contributes to the body knowledge in foreign language learning

Communication and collaboration competency is one of three core general competencies specified in the 2018 Vietnam General Education Curriculum. However, teachers encounter difficulties in designing appropriate learning activities and assessing the development of communication and collaboration skills to cultivate this competency. The 21st Century Learning Design (21CLD) model, proposed by Microsoft, is a teaching framework aimed at developing essential skills in students, including communication and collaboration. This study compared the 21CLD model with the common and core competency framework specified in Vietnam's 2018 General Education Curriculum and found similarities between the two assessment frameworks. Therefore, this article will present Microsoft's 21CLD model, detailing assessment levels according to specific criteria for each skill, and propose a process for applying this model to develop learning activities for Informatics at the elementary level to enhance students' communication and collaboration competency. Leveraging Social Media for Language Acquisition: Exploring How High School Students Use Facebook for English Language Learning (ELL)

This study investigates how high school students utilize Facebook to enhance their English language skills. Through interviews and content analysis, the research explores how Facebook exposes students to diverse English content, from news articles to social interactions. This exposure fosters incidental language learning, improving grammar, vocabulary, and current event awareness. Furthermore, Facebook facilitates communication skill development through casual interactions with other English speakers. However, the spread of misinformation and informal language use necessitates the development of critical thinking skills to ensure reliable information is gleaned and proper English is adopted. In conclusion, Facebook holds potential as a tool for English language learning when used strategically alongside other resources and a critical approach to information evaluation.

Challenges Met by Intermediate Fast-Learner Classes on Communication Skills

This study explored the challenges faced by intermediate fast learner classes in five central schools of the Division of Surigao City in developing communication skills. Through interviews with 15 high-performing and 15 average-performing learners, challenges in reading, writing, speaking, and listening were identified and analyzed using thematic analysis. High-performing students struggle with comprehension, time management, and confidence, while average performers face additional difficulties in complex language and self-doubt. Innovative exploration of designing the ‘Host Defense and Immunology’ course based on the concept of seamless learning

Abstract Objectives The ‘Host Defense and Immunology’ course is compulsory for undergraduate students majoring in clinical medicine at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. In order to promote students’ self-directed and active learning, we innovated teaching activities around ‘seamless learning’ which is emphasising learner-centredness. Methods Guided by the concept of seamless learning, we integrated teaching content, constructed course resources, innovated course-teaching modes, and reformed assessment and evaluation. Then two survey questionnaires were provided to students to get feedback on the course achievement. One set of survey questionnaire with written descriptions was designed to collect feedback on the overall evaluation of the course. Another survey questionnaire was presented in the form of multiple-choice questions to get feedback on more specific questions. Results 294 questionnaires were distributed to eight-year clinical medicine students in years 2021–2022, and 234 were valid. Overall student feedback revealed that the students mastered the immunological basic theories, research techniques and have acquired integrated systematic thinking. The students also deepened their application ability, pursued clinical rigor and logic, and shaped their clinical thinking patterns. The survey questionnaire revealed that the comprehensive immunological mind map was highly beneficial for analysing clinical immunological problems, understanding immunological principles, grasping interrelationships between knowledge points, and fostering self-learning abilities. Case-based learning (CBL), micro-lecture videos, and learning about scientists’ and doctors’ stories also had positive effects on students’ active learning, understanding, logical thinking, innovation, and humanistic literacy, with over 79 % of students reporting benefits. Conclusions Based on seamless learning, students acquired integrated systematic thinking through the course, shaped clinical thinking patterns, developed communication and collaboration skills, and enhanced their ability to analyse and solve clinical problems. The exploration and practice of the ‘Host Defense and Immunology’ course provides a good example for the integration of seamless learning concepts into teaching.

This study explored the relevance of this practice, analyzing how it promotes a significant and engaging educational experience for students, stimulating not only cognitive skills but also social and emotional competencies. From the perspective of neuroscience, the importance of visual and emotional stimulation in learning was highlighted. Authors such as Pantano (2009) emphasize the role of emotions in the consolidation and retrieval of information in memory, underscoring how video creation can emotionally engage students, fostering a deeper connection with the content. Additionally, Zorzi (2009) emphasized the relevance of attention in the classroom, directing focus to specific stimuli and facilitating memory formation. Furthermore, video production stimulates essential cognitive skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Authors like Gardner (1995) addressed the theory of multiple intelligences, highlighting the importance of recognizing and developing students’ individual skills, an opportunity provided by audiovisual production. Collaboration and communication were identified as fundamental aspects of student video production. Authors like Pereira and Neves (2014) highlighted how this collaborative activity encourages students to work together, promoting an inclusive environment and stimulating the development of communication and collaboration skills, as pointed out by Santos and Aquino (2011). In the classroom context, video production offers an opportunity for students to explore significant issues and themes authentically. Authors like Fresquet (2015) emphasized how this approach allows students to engage in deep investigations and personal reflections, increasing their motivation and engagement. Moreover, video production promotes a hands-on and experiential approach to learning, supported by neuroscience as an effective teaching strategy. Authors like Cosenza (2011) explained how exposure to practical and emotionally engaging experiences facilitates learning consolidation, an advantage offered by student video creation. Finally, video production contributes to the development of socioemotional skills and competencies for the 21st century. Authors like Aquino and Cavalcante (2017) highlighted how this approach promotes interpersonal skills, teamwork, as well as media and technology competencies, preparing students for real-world challenges.

Effective Methods of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language to Undergraduate Students

This article considers the process of formation of communication skills in Russian language among undergraduate students. The subject of the study is the conversation, and the effectiveness of exercises aimed at the development of communicative skills. Using the method of observation of students’ activity during the educational process, the results of the study showed that the use of various language components that were integrated into the task, contributed to a significant improvement in students’ communication skills. Russian vocabulary components proved effective in teaching Russian as a foreign language, this approach is recommended for wide application in educational practice.
