We want to express through fiber art, so that we can better understand the truth in our hearts Emotions, slow down, and better understand the true meaning of life. "Eyes speak better than mouths", the emotions of people and animals are revealed in the pupils, and fiber art has the unique charm of visual beauty and tactile beauty. Based on this, the art form of fiber art is mainly used to show the emotions reflected by the pupils, arouse people's deep feelings for nature, pay attention to their own psychological state, and let the "human touch" return to the world.

Publishing in the academy: An arts-based, metaphorical reflection towards self-care

Publishing in the academy is a high-stakes activity often used to measure academic staff progress and inform promotion. Many universities have increased pressure on academics, even at the earliest stages of their careers, to publish in high-ranking journals resulting in increased stress and uncertainty. The authors of this paper are members of a writing group in an Australian regional university, established to support each other towards success in quality research and publishing. Over the 2020–2021 summer semester, six members of the group decided to reflect on their experiences, emotions and outcomes throughout the writing process by participating in four reflective arts-based activities. Theoretical frameworks of reflection and metaphor were used to share findings. Strong evidence of having to grapple with meeting university expectations in tension with personal goals and passions was ever-present. The importance of drawing on both personal resources and significant others to manage these tensions through self-care practices was also evident. Implications resulting from this research include recognising the pressures placed on academics to publish only in specifically ranked journals. Overall, the arts-based reflection was critical in uncovering deeper feelings about the pressures of publishing and supporting higher education employees’ well-being and self-care during the writing process.

Fenomena Menikah Muda pada Mahasiswi Universitas Islam Riau

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs in female students who have several motives and reasons for their marriage, and the phenomenon of female students taking leave because they are pregnant. This study aims to determine the motives of young married students and student communication barriers after marriage. This study uses a descriptive case study type approach, audience research, namely qualitative research methods. Data is collected through interviews, books, references from libraries, journals, and the internet that discuss young marriage. The subjects of this study were students who married young at the Islamic University of Riau. Informants in the study amounted to five people, namely RPR, AS, YSA, FRB, and NK, based on initial observations using snowball sampling techniques and various information from students aged 21 years and under. At the Islamic University of Riau it self there are many students who decide to get married at a young age, but until now there has been no official data from the UIR for sure. In the view of Islamic law, the law is very different in setting the ideal age limit for a marriage bond. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out there are four motives of young married UIR students, namely: the development of Islamic religious studies, established prospective husbands who have worked and owned businesses, parents who support and encourage young marriage, and deep feelings of love between female students and their husband. The barriers to communication of informants after marriage is the frequent occurrence of misunderstandings, jealousy that is still strong, and selfishness that they have not been able to control because of their young age.

Explore How to Integrate Curriculum Ideology and Politics into the Content of Computer Basic Courses in Colleges and Universities

Cultural Factors of Suicidality

Suicidal behavior is a complex human behavior expressed in a spectrum of various acts. From a suicidal gesture to a completed suicide, all reflect a cry for help and need clinical and scientific attention. The process ending up with suicidal act is shaped by multi-factors, including the socio-cultural ones. Suicide is indeed related to a deep feeling of hopelessness; not to have any control over their lives and circumstances except than deciding to stay alive or dead, and so related to serious psychopathologies, as depressive and substance use disorders. Hence, it is frequently seen as a personal act or as a question of individual decision. But since Durkheim‘s ground breaking work, which still inspires suicide researchers, the cultural factors behind this socially determined phenomenon have been widely discussed. Suicide is totally a personal act and a fully socio-cultural phenomenon. The cultural factors of suicidality are among the social determinants of health/ill health. Epidemiological evidence and cross-cultural comparisons show huge differences in suicide rates across countries and even between regions of same countries, and these are constant differences. Furthermore, even the definition of suicide is effected by the social circumstances. Certain socio-cultural patterns shape how and when people commit suicide; i.e., these patterns have decreasing or increasing effect on suicide rates, which provides basis for suicide prevention. Likewise, social solidarity, high group integration and collective sensitivity may have preventive effects. This brings us to the discussion of the effects of big social turmoil or wars or pandemics on suicidal behavior.DisclosureNo significant relationships.

Interjection by Commentators in Identity V E-Sports Tournament

The aim of this research is to describe the functions of interjections spoken by two commentators called jikkyousha and kaisetsusha in Identity V e-sports tournament with a pragmatic approach. A qualitative descriptive method was used in this research. Interjections were analyzed using Namatame Yasu and Masuoka-Takubo’s interjection theory. The results show 12 functions of interjections: facing a new situation, expressing deep feelings for something, politely affirming what interlocutors said, agreeing, disagreeing, approval, attention, surprise, recalled, expressions of thought, taking back what the speaker said, and greeting. Expression of facing a new situation is the most spoken interjection.

This research is aim to tell the meaning of one of a poetry written by a famous poet from Syria under the title Khamsu Ras??ila Il? Umm?. The poem is telling about the deepest feeling of a longing to the lovely homeland. A man who did a long journey to foreign countries due to several conditions needs to recall the memory about his homeland. His homeland he called ‘umm?’ (mother) never leave his heart even he is out of his homeland as his own mother. The poetry has analyzed with semiotic theory that used to know the meaning of meaning of a poetry. There are three stages to analyze this poetry in this research, the first is to search semantic indirection that used by the poet. Semantic indirection is caused by three things, they are displacing of meaning, distorting of meaning, and creating of meaning. After finding the semantic indirection, then doing a semiotic reading that consisting of heuristic reading that as its first level reading and hermeneutic reading as an interpretation by considering the semantic indirection. The last stage is to determine the matrix or keyword of this poetry. The result of this research reflects an expression of a man who had a deep feeling of longing to his homeland when he did live abroad.

Maáyir Ma Ba’d al-Thariqah al-Baidagujiyyah al-Tsalatsah fi Alqurán al-Karim

This research aimed to find the pattern of three parameters of the post method in Alqurán. This study adopted qualitative research with a literature review model. The object of this research was a pattern obtained from three post method parameters with al-kalimah al-miftahiyyah in Alqurán. The data collection rested upon Qur’anic verses and their interpretations To conduct data analysis, the researchers used content analysis by Klaus Krippendorff. This study revealed the patterns of three parameters of postmethod pedagogy in the Qur’an, such as; particularity from the word “hikmah” wisdom which is with the mind and has an understanding as deep research; the parameter of practicality from the words ulul albab as the symbol of deep thinking, ulul abhsar as the symbol of deep feeling, and ulin nuha as the symbol of deep character; and parameter possibility from the word as-shabr as a power in the deep application.

The purpose of writing this analytical paper is to prove that every aspect of the film is like an example the selection of landscapes, color tones, production design, and storylines are very influential in raising an important issue which in the context of this film is the socio-economic issue that exists among Indonesian immigrants in New York City. This research is used qualitative descriptive methods and used a landscape theory approach to find point of view in this film. Based on the scene and from a theoretical point of view, the evidence in each film scene has an important role in supporting an argument to be conveyed the socio-economic gap that occurs between immigrants in New York. With the help of setting, character, and storyline in this film, is easily conclude that financial differences will always happen everywhere. The example is between the two in the film. To observing the habits and lifestyle contained in the storyline can be done by utilizing research related to the colors used in a scene to evoke the same mood. Sometimes, something that is visually beautiful and pleasing to the eye does not always convey deep feeling and vice versa. However, visuals and feelings/mood will certainly create an amazing work.

EDUKASI TENTANG TEKNIK RELAKSASI LIMA JARI TERHADAP PENURUNAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN PASIEN PRA OPERASI SECTIO CAESAREA

In 2007 the incidence of cesarean section in Indonesia was 921,000 out of 4,039,000 deliveries (22.8%) of all deliveries. The operation to give birth to a child through an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus is called a cesarean section. If a person experiences deep feelings and pressures that cause psychiatric problems which can develop over a long period of time it can cause anxiety that happens to everyone. Anxiety that is not handled seriously will have an impact and impact on the physical and psychological aspects of pregnant women, both for the mother and the fetus. The fear that is usually expressed directly is the anxiety that can be seen in every individual who will undergo surgery. The five finger relaxation technique is one of the nursing interventions that can be done. The problem that occurs is that surgery often causes fear that has an impact on anxiety, resulting in decreased uteroplacental circulation, reduced blood and oxygen flow to the uterus and decreased uterine contractions. An alternative way out of this problem that can be done is to provide education about non-pharmacological therapy, namely five finger therapy. The services provided for pregnant women who will perform a caesarean section in the Hybrid room of the Sembiring Hospital are 19 people. The results showed that the education provided went smoothly and the level of anxiety in pre-cesarean mothers decreased.

WRITING As Care and Self-Knowledge

The concept about the “therapeutic writing” has its beginning from an autobiographic work, realized in 2003, whose title is Letters to a real interlocutor. My sense. That autobiographic writing turned out to be therapeutic because it has helped the writer to develop her sharpest sufferings, to overcome traumas and to win old guilt. The therapeutic writing, meant as inner reveal, is essential to be able to understand also the physical signals that our body often give us as a reply, aware or not, to a pain we had lived and we are still living. The individual writing becomes a shared experience working in groups, where everybody gives his own personal contribution. The epistolary approach of the “therapeutic writing” consists in a bunch of letters (written to one’s self, to one’s mother etc.) used as therapeutic tools, in order for the writer to easily recall the meaningful episodes of his own existence, from his childhood to his adult age. The epistolary way becomes then the most appropriate way to remember our own emotions, our sorrows, the sufferings and our deepest feelings. The benefits, got with the individual writing, will become wider while reading and sharing personal experiences with others. The negative moods lived again by the person who tells about himself, will lose, line after line, the characteristic of anxiety and taboo, while the positive ones, even if shyly expressed, will find in the other people’s benevolence a further reason to go through again. All these constant efforts makes the “therapeutic writing” evolving into a performative character.

Altars of Hope: Venezuelan Domestic Workers and the Material Culture of the Divine

Traditionally, and until recently, Venezuelan domestic workers lived in small bedrooms at the back of their employers' house, close to the kitchen and the laundry area. The room's location and austere material composition sought to divide the home into service and living areas and to limit the interaction between families and workers, leaving workers with deep feelings of isolation. For some domestic workers, praying for their families and for a better future helps mitigate feelings of loneliness. Thus, inside their assigned bedrooms, most workers set up sacred altars to channel and represent their faith and personalize their surroundings. Far from ornamentation or artistic pretension, each item in the altar is part of a meaningful composition meant to express the domestic worker's religious identity. Shrines act as a spiritual bridge connecting workers with their families and their gods, and ultimately easing their feelings of isolation.

Treat you like my own

I am a radiation therapist at the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. My mother recently underwent cancer treatments, and the journey has given me many moments of reflection and pause as an MRT, as a daughter, and as a mother. It was emotional for me to be providing care for our cancer patients while my own mother was undergoing radiation treatment at another centre. There was pain, anguish, guilt—but also a lightness and a deep and powerful feeling of trust in my MRT peers that they are working just as diligently with my mom as I worked diligently on others.

Linking resonant leadership, psychological ownership, and organizational commitment: The mediating role of employee empowerment

The purpose of the current study is to identify the antecedents of psychological ownership and organizational commitment since these constructs could influence different behavioral outcomes at the workplace, such as task performance, creativity, and organizational citizenship behavior. Through practicing resonant leadership, highly empowered employees are expected to have a deeper feeling of psychological ownership and more sense of commitment to an organization. In this study, the direct relationships of resonant leadership on psychological ownership and organizational commitment via employee empowerment were investigated. Data were collected from 232 employees working at healthcare corporations listed on the Amman Stock Exchange in Jordan. Structural equation modeling was utilized to analyze the data. Results proposed that psychological ownership and organizational commitment were related to resonant leadership. Moreover, employee empowerment played a significant role, as a mediator between resonant leadership and psychological ownership and between resonant leadership and organizational commitment. Therefore, employees working with resonant leaders and having effective empowerment are expected to get higher levels of psychological ownership and tend to be highly committed to their organizations.

What does ‘left behind’ mean to children living in migratory regions in rural China?

This article explores how in China in the early to mid-2010s non-migrant children in households with and without migrants interpreted the situation of children being left behind because of parental migration. These children lived in rural regions in China’s eastern interior where parental migration had become a ‘new normal’ and where a good future was one that involved escaping rurality and progressing to a stable urban job through education. Based on my interviews with forty-four left behind children of two migrant parents and twenty-nine children who lived with both their parents, this article demonstrates that the children’s deep feelings about their own family’s circumstances impacted on their perceptions about the situation of children being ‘left behind’. The children’s views reveal implications of parental migration that are more complex than neat delineations of trade-offs between costs (reduced parental care) and benefits (increased income) suggest. The discussion further contributes to bridging conceptual dichotomies between migrants and non-migrants and between left-behinds and other stayers.

“Nothing says gentrification like being able to order a cortado”

Alison Hope Alkon, Yuki Kato, and Joshua Sbicca are the co-editors of A Recipe for Gentrification: Food, Power, and Resistance in the City (NYU Press, 2020). This important new book outlines the ways that food and gentrification are closely intertwined in North American cities—not just in New York City or Vancouver, British Columbia, but in smaller, less obvious places like Portland, Oregon; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Durham, North Carolina. A Recipe for Gentrification makes clear that gentrification processes are both complex and contradictory, combining delicious foods with deep feelings of discomfort as vulnerable communities become even more vulnerable due to rising rents and urban displacement. New opportunities for restaurateurs and diners do not necessarily translate into fair wages, shared profits, or dignified living conditions for residents. This research gives us new tools to critically appraise how changing urban foodscapes can engender displacement but also resistance.Two food scholars and fans of this book, Josée Johnston and Michael Chrobok, were delighted to have the chance to sit down and talk with Alison (AA), Yuki (YK), and Joshua (JS) about their new volume—as well as their broader thoughts on food and gentrification, including beyond the North American urban context. Remote English Teaching during Covid-19 Pandemic: Challenges and Lessons in Higher Education Teaching in Colombia

The objective of this article is to do bibliographic research lined up with the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic in which the main focus will be inclusion, Pygmalion effect as well as teaching and learning remotely. The basis is to gather different perspectives to build knowledge through exhaustive reading of books, doctoral dissertations, masters programs dissertations, current news, reliable sources of information, scientific papers, and own experience amongst others. The analysis of this bibliographic research will be useful for future research on topics related. Emotional and affective relations are important and have impact when facing English learning difficulties and when working to have inclusion. In the context of Covid-19, the learning and teaching conditions got complex when migrating to virtual classes. Remote teaching is not a solution to face learning and teaching difficulties. In this way, affection is the best tool for inclusive learning in virtual environments. It is said that one of the biggest barriers is teacher’s formation whose career is based on traditional pedagogy not easily adaptable to digital environments. This situation creates a deep feeling of frustration in teachers, which can be reflected in the low academic performance of English students. Several reflections will be made to encourage the actors involved in the teaching-learning process and in the educational system to ask themselves: Which are the challenges of remote teaching and learning during the Covid-19 pandemic being inclusive through the Pygmalion effect?

Family Dysfunction and Depressive Tendencies in Adolescents

Depressive tendencies describe the extent to which a person experiences symptoms of depression. Depression is defined as a psychological condition in which a person experiences deep negative feelings. The onset of depression symptoms can be caused by several factors, one of which is environmental factors. Family can be an environmental factor that affects the psychological well-being of individuals. Families that do not carry out their roles well can be referred to as a dysfunctional family. Adolescence marks the transition from childhood to adulthood. During this period, individuals have a higher prevalence of depression. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between family dysfunction and depressive tendencies among adolescents in Malang City. The research was conducted with a correlational quantitative approach. 114 subjects were recruited. Data were collected using the Family Assessment Device General Functioning Scale and the Depression Tendency Scale. The results showed that generally, respondents had moderate depressive tendencies, with a mean score of 94.64. Results related to family dysfunction showed a family mean score of 2.1498. This figure indicated that on average the families functioned poorly. This research revealed that there was a significant positive correlation between the two variables with r = 0.626, where the higher the level of family dysfunction, the greater the tendency for depression.

The value of social education taught in the Qur'an and al-Hadith is very much, including the values ​​of brotherhood, helping, caring, forgiving, tolerant, giving each other, not being individualistic, giving each other and giving spaciousness to others. Actually, there are many more values ​​of social education that are described in the Qur'an and al-Hadith, due to limitations, several examples of the value of social education are taken which are informed in the Qur'an and al-Hadith. Social education in Islam educates its people to get used to carrying out good social etiquette and noble psychic basics and sourced from the eternal Islamic faith and deep feelings of faith, so that in society they can appear with good association and manners, balance of mind that is good. mature and wise action. Islamic education is an effort to develop, encourage and invite students to live more dynamically based on high values ​​and a noble life. With this process, it is hoped that a more perfect student personality will be formed, both related to the potential of reason, feelings, and actions.

Functional Inquiry within the Perspective of Design Criticism ——Take the Practicality and Design of the Power Strip as an Example
