Numerical Analysis of a Pile-Anchor Retaining Structure of Deep Foundation Pit Engineering

Based on a deep foundation pit engineering of Tangshan, considering the interaction of pile-anchor-soil, the finite difference software FLAC3D is adopted in this paper to simulate and analyze the effect of dip angle of anchor and the embedded depth of pile on the horizontal displacement and the variation laws of earth pressure, horizontal displacement of pile with the process of excavation. The results show that the maximum value of horizontal displacement and positive moment of pile appear in 0.85H (H stands for the depth of excavation) and the negative moment appears in 1.3H after the excavation; the maximum value of active and passive earth pressure appear in 1.3H rather than the bottom in the range of pile length; the requirements of deformation control and overall stability of foundation pit can be satisfied with 0.5H which as the embedded depth of the pile, and the dip angle of anchor is appropriate when it ranges from 5°to 25°but less than 30°.

Application of BP Neural Network to Risk Analysis of Deep Foundation Pit

there are many uncertainty factors in the design process of the deep foundation pit engineering, such as the soil parameters, loading, which make the calculated displacement, settlement and safety factor have randomness and uncertainty. This paper combines uniform design (UD) with BP neural network. The UD structures random samples. Then, BP neural network trains random samples and the corresponding lateral displacement, settlement of ground and safety factors to get response relationship respectively. On this basis, the probability density distribution of each response parameter is obtained by predicting a large number of samples obtained by the Monte Carlo simulation. And then the Breadth Border Method, Narrow Bounds Method and PNET method are used to calculate system failure probability of foundation pit. The instance analysis shows that the method has high computing efficiency and the result is reasonable. It provides an effective way for the reliability analysis of the foundation pit engineering.

Numerical Analysis of the Deformation Law of Deep Foundation Pit of Subway Station by FLAC3D

Predicting dynamic deformation of retaining structure by LSSVR-based time series method

In this paper, we propose a LSSVR-based time series method (LTSM) to predict dynamic lateral deformation of retaining structure and ground surface settlement in deep foundation pit engineering. After reconstructing phase space, time-varying lateral displacement of each observation point on retaining structure can be predicted using its historic unary time series data. And then, the ground settlement nearby the deep foundation pit can be predicted using all the observed values of lateral deformation which were collected at the same time from different depths on the retaining structure. The experimental results show that LTSM achieved a high accuracy when predicting the lateral deformation and ground settlement.

On the basis of geological survey results and indoor geotechnical mechanics experiment, the 3D geological model was established by three-dimensional finite difference method FLAC3D. In the excavation stage, pile deformation presented randomness.When the excavation completed 45 days,from the top of the pile to the pile at 13m depth,the lateral volume is almost equal, and thus down to the pile end the lateral volume gradually becomes zero.

Reinforcement Scheme and Numerical Simulation for Sequential Excavation of the Deep Foundation Pit

The deep foundation pit engineering of Wanda Plaza in Yinchuan city is taken as a case study and the corresponding numerical model has been built. The deformation and stability of the foundation pit during sequential excavation has been analyzed by using of the FLAC3D software. The weak positions which may lose the stability are predicted by the results from the numerical simulation. A soil-nailing reinforcing scheme has been proposed to maintain the stability of the foundation pit. To analyze the support effects of the soil-nailing, the Cable structure elements have been adopted to simulate the interaction between soil and soil-nailing. The calculation results show that the maximum horizontal displacement occurs in the middle part of the pit wall and the minimum occurs in corner part of the pit wall. The soil nailing support significantly decreases the deformation of foundation pit by dispersing internal stress of soil. The reliability of the simulation results has been verified by the comparative analysis between the numerical simulation results and the deformation monitoring data of foundation pit. The proposed reinforcement scheme is not only helpful to ensure the safety of Wanda Plaza foundation pit，but also provides valuable experiences for the reinforcement of similar foundation pit engineering.
