According to the principles of credit-module system in educational process, we developed new curricula for teaching "Nursing in surgery". This article presents possible ways to improve the efficiency of the practical classes with students enrolled into specialty «Nursing» (ECL – «junior specialist»). In particular, the use of interactive classes model of didactic process effectively improves the digestion of thematic material. The main aim is to encourage active potential of students by involving them in the dialogue, open conversation, discussion of surgical patients’ clinical problems, evidence, and argumentation of their own view, analysis of their actions while dealing with situational and clinical tasks as well as working in the medical office and with patients. In the process of interactive teaching, students learn to think critically, make thoughtful decisions, communicate with each other.
