Implementasi Project Based Learning dalam Pembelajaran Abad 21 pada Mata Kuliah Kesehatan Perempuan dan Perencanaan Keluarga

Education in Indonesia is experiencing development, students are required to compete in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 in the 21st century to be able to improve their abilities, namely collaboration, communication, creative and critical thinking and problem solving skills. So an effort is needed that can be applied to learning activities and one of them is through the application of the Project Based Learning learning model. This project-based learning is a learning strategy that empowers students to gain knowledge and understanding. The aim of this research is to increase student creativity through project-based learning to create teaching media to introduce the female reproductive organs and their functions. Classroom action research research design. The population of this research is all students taking women's health and family planning courses for the 2022-2023 academic year with a sample size of 13 odd semester (three) students. The data collection technique looks at activity during the lecture process and monitors the progress of projects carried out by students using observation assisted by instruments, namely written tests, performance tests and observation sheets. The results show an increase in learning outcomes in the category of students' thinking skills and creativity, which can be seen from the students' enthusiasm in completing the Teaching Aids for Introduction to Female Reproductive Organs project as well as presenting and publishing the results of their work. So it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of thinking skills and creativity of students at the Tahirah Al Baeti Bulukumba Midwifery Academy for the 2022/2023 Academic Year.

Bridging the cultures of research and practice: The global evolution of Sesame Street’s playful problem-solving curriculum

ABSTRACT Traditionally, theory and practice are treated as separate silos when designing educational media, or at best, as theory informing practice in a one-way relationship. The relationship between theory and practice, however, is most productive when seen as reciprocal, existing in an iterative relationship with each influencing the other in turn. This paper reflects on the Sesame Street production and research described earlier in this special section, drawing lessons and implications for future theory and research. Implications are also drawn for future productions of Sesame Street and its international co-productions, extensions into ancillary media, and, more broadly, educational media in general, informed by a global advisory panel and the development of a global theoretical framework for future multiplatform content creation. Beyond informing Sesame Workshop’s approach to creativity and playful problem solving, this paper offers a model for media makers seeking to bridge the research-practice gap.

The Bard’s Life

Tabletop role-playing games have experienced a surge of popularity in recent years, as games such as Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) now boast over fifty million active players worldwide. Several of these games include options for players to choose characters with deep connections to music, the best known being the iconic Bard, often portrayed as a mischievous lutenist and storyteller, singing their way into and out of problems. A musical Bard was not always the standard, however, as an examination of the fifty-year history of D&D reveals a character originally modeled on a rogue that steadily grew in its dependence on music. Instead of relying on weapons or thievery, modern Bards primarily utilize music to accomplish their goals through charismatic performances. Similar to Roger Moseley’s framing of what it means to “play” in musical ways in video games, Bards now grant gamers the experience of “performing” magical music, bolstering a sense of otherworldliness in the game environment. Unlike video games, however, the music created by a Bard is usually silent. Players are directed to give vivid descriptions of their performances, and then roll dice to determine quality and effectiveness, but sounding music is rarely required. This essay explores how the Bard has evolved in D&D and considers the question of what that change says about music as a non-sounding tool in gameplay. Building on ludomusicological theories of music performance, as well as neurological studies of the brain’s response to internal imagining of musical stimuli, I contend the development of the Bard in D&D reflects a desire for expanded social gameplay, and creates opportunities for creative problem solving and deeper immersion in a shared collective imagination. I argue that musical imagery, like sounding music, has the ability to shape a gamer’s experience and helps create a richly decorated imagined fantasy world.

Exploration of Students' Engineering Thinking Skills Through STEM Integrated PjBL Model Design Water Rocket Momentum Material

The research aims to analyse the engineering thinking skills of students by integrating the PjBL model with STEM water rocket design on momentum materials. This research is an experimental study. The design of this study was qualitative research. There are three stages to the research stage: preparation, implementation, and the final stage. The researchers collected data through observation, interviews, posttests, and documentaries. The focus of this study is on students' engineering thinking skills. The researchers interactively analyse the collected data during the phases of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Additionally, the researchers conducted data credibility tests using triangulation techniques to assess the appropriateness of the research data. The research results predominantly classify the six indicators of engineering thinking as very good. Based on the findings and deductions, it is concluded that most students' engineering thinking abilities, when combined with the PjBL model and STEM water rocket design material, score highly on the six indicators of creative problem-solving. Students in this study experienced new knowledge and learning experiences that enabled them to solve daily problems by applying engineering thinking skills and physics concepts.

문제 이해 역량을 위한 창의적 문제해결(CPS) 모형 기반 인공지능 융합 수업 모형(AI-CPF) 개발

The purpose of this study is to develop an AI Convergence instructional model to enhance problem formulation competency. To achieve this, we refer to the CT-CPS model developed for SW convergence education, based on the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model. Additionally, research on problem discovery and understanding, Initial teaching models, design principles, and guidelines were developed by referring to studies on artificial intelligence convergence education. To validate the developed model, two rounds of expert validation were conducted with three experts in educational technology and AI-integrated education. Additionally, a class was conducted with six middle school students from a gifted education institute, where problems, solvable through a regression analysis model of supervised learning, were explored, and their responses were evaluated. The results indicate that the model can enhance problem formulation competency, AI literacy, and creative thinking skills, while also fostering knowledge in mathematics and information. The significance of this model lies in its ability to systematically design AI convergence courses for improving problem formulation competency.

노벨엔지니어링(Novel Engineering) 기반 생태환경교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경역량 및 인공지능 활용 태도 함양에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study is to develop a Novel Engineering-based practical and subject-centered ecological environment convergence education program (20 sessions) and apply it to 25 6th grade students to conduct a survey on environmental competency and awareness of artificial intelligence education before and after class to determine what kind of results. The purpose is to see if there is a change. The results of the study showed that the Novel Engineering-based ecological environment education program had a positive impact on the development of elementary school students' environmental capabilities and their awareness of artificial intelligence education. The results of the environmental competency survey showed significant differences in all areas of reflection and insight, use of environmental information, creative problem solving, environmental sensitivity, communication and conflict resolution, and environmental community competency, and positive attitudes toward thoughts and career paths toward artificial intelligence technology. It is significant that environmental education can be applied in the regular curriculum and that a convergence program containing not only engineering and digital elements, but also humanities and arts elements has been developed to foster the basic language and digital skills emphasized in the 2022 revised curriculum. Based on this study, there is a need to construct a variety of Novel Engineering-based ecological environment education programs for all elementary school students in the future. In addition, follow-up research on a diverse Novel Engineering-based ecological environment education program that combines digital and artificial intelligence elements will be necessary through analysis of various subjects in the ecological environment.

Polygonal-Pyramidal Method of Structured Anatomical Analysis in Professional Art Education

This article examines the author's method for teaching professional art education through the utilization of polygonal and geometric shapes. It delves into the fundamental principles, tools, and techniques involved in working with such forms. Academic Drawing, a cornerstone discipline in painting education, is explored within the context of this method. Specifically, the article discusses the Method of Anatomical Polygonal-Pyramidal Structured Analysis and Geometrical-Plastic Modeling of Form, implemented within the professional art education curriculum at the Lugansk State Academy of Culture and Arts, Russia, under the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Department of Easel Painting. To assess the method's effectiveness, a study employing the stratometric modeling method was conducted with five student study groups, comprising female students aged 18-25, all pursuing training in Stationary Painting. The study spanned various periods, revealing the method's capacity to expedite professional development and yield significant student achievements. The article concludes by underscoring the method's importance in nurturing spatial-artistic thinking, rooted in the identification of anatomical nodes influencing overall figure structure and internal plasticity. By connecting these nodes into a cohesive system, the method facilitates the expression of artistic constructive form. Through the transformation of triangles into volumetric geometric forms and their layered application, the method enables the creation of tonal gradations and overall figure volume. Moreover, it cultivates anatomical constructive thinking, enhances understanding of human structure, and fosters proficiency in applying mathematical principles to creative problem-solving.

Entrepreneurial bricolage: A key to innovation for SMEs in a developing economy

Entrepreneurship promotes economic growth, particularly in developing economies where small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are a significant source of employment and economic activity. However, SMEs in developing countries often face various resource constraints and weak institutions, forcing them to engage in entrepreneurial bricolage behavior by creatively combining existing resources. This study explores the relationship between entrepreneurial bricolage and product, process, and marketing innovation among SMEs in the Philippines. Logistic regression estimates reveal that entrepreneurial bricolage has a significant and positive impact on product, process, and marketing innovation. As entrepreneurial bricolage behavior increases, so does the probability of innovation, highlighting the importance of creative problem-solving in settings with inadequate resources. The study also emphasizes the need for policies that support SMEs by providing enabling resources, such as robust infrastructure and reliable communication platforms, to encourage firm innovation that fosters positive spill-over effects on the broader economy.

Problem Solving in Dance/Movement Therapy Research: Developing an Intervention Protocol for Adults Living with Treatment Resistant Depression

Dance/movement therapy (DMT) research requires creative and innovative thinking; this paper includes two parts demonstrating this. Part one describes and delves into the creative problem solving process undertaken over 2.5 years. Four main steps were followed towards developing an intervention session plan for a first-of-its-kind DMT study in treatment resistant depression: (i) Examining pre-existing knowledge: Reviewing insights gained from clinical practice and formal literature. (ii) Assessing the need for preliminary studies: This step demonstrates how to determine and navigate the potential need for preliminary studies in novel research. (iii) Integrating existing and new research: I discuss Watson’s (Watson, Sociological Research Online 25:66–83, 2020) braiding technique and how it may help integrate insights from steps one and two. (iv) Reviewing outputs: This includes examining the developed session plan by conducting a fidelity and biases check. Each step presents reflective questions that ultimately contributed towards protocol development. The questions listed may also be a beneficial guide to novice DMT researchers embarking on novel research.

The Implementation of Creative Problem-Solving Model In Improving Creative Thinking, Problem-Solving, and Self-Regulated Learning Skills In Literature Learning For Grade XI Students of Saint Ursula High School

Creative thinking, problem-solving, and self-regulated learning skills are essential 21st-century skills that need to be developed. However, not many students have mastered these three skills. This research aims to determine the results of implementing the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model to enhance these skills in English literature class for Grade XI at Santa Ursula High School in Jakarta. The research was conducted using the classroom action research (CAR) method, which consisted of three cycles. Each cycle involved the planning, observation, action, and reflection phases. A pre-test was conducted before starting each cycle, followed by a post-test after completing the cycle. The research subjects consisted of 32 students, and the assessment instrument used a scoring rubric. The results showed that there was an increase in the average value of creative thinking skills, problem-solving, and self-regulated learning in each cycle. From these results, it can be concluded that the CPS learning model can improve creative thinking, problem-solving, and self-regulated learning skills in English literature classes for Grade XI students at Saint Ursula High School Jakarta.

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA KELAS XI IPS SMA NEGERI 7 TAMBUN SELATAN PADA MATERI DINAMIKA PENDUDUK

The purpose of this research is to find out whether ther is an affect of the Creative Problem Solving learning model on student’s creative thiking skill at SMA Negeri 7 Tambun Selatan. This type of quasi experimental research with randomized post-test only controlled group design. The population of this study was all student of class XI IPS which consist of 3 classes total 111 students. The sampling technique used a random sampling. Class of XI IPS 2 as the control grup and class of XI IPS 3 as the experiment class. Data taken by test and documentation techniques. Data analyzed by independent t test on post-test score of XI IPS 2 as control group and XI IPS 3 as experiment class. Previously the data were tested for normality and homogenity test. The results showed that there was an influence in the application of the Creative Problem Solving model on student’s creative thiking skill at SMA Negeri 7 Tambun Selatan with the results of independent t test of > that 2,494 > 1,997.

The Semantic Integration of Multiple Unconscious Stimuli in Creative Problem‐Solving

ABSTRACTThe process of creative problem‐solving (CPS) commonly demands that individuals consciously or unconsciously integrate creative ideas from a vast array of diverse information. Using a masked priming paradigm and the Chinese remote associates test (RAT), this study provides innovative behavioral evidence for the integration of multiple unconscious stimuli during CPS. In Experiment 1, three masked Chinese characters were simultaneously presented in the RAT, the first and third characters could be combined to form an answer. Two Chinese two‐character words were presented in parallel, each containing the answer in Experiment 2, and required the complete word information to be split and subsequently re‐integrated in a more complex manner than in Experiment 1. Interestingly, in both the experiments, multiple unconsciously processed stimuli generated a priming effect on creative performance. Specifically, a positive priming effect was observed in response to the difficult RATs, whereas a negative priming effect was observed in response to the easy RATs. Overall, our study verified that semantic integration between different unconsciously perceived stimuli can occur, which provides insights into the mechanisms underlying unconscious priming effects and contributes to a better understanding of how creative cognitive processing is influenced by multiple types of unconscious information.

Compression Wraps—Providing Solutions for Complex Lymphatic Presentations

Compression is the cornerstone of treatment for lymphoedema; however, in patients with Stage III lymphoedema that causes a significant alteration of limb shape and size, additional creative problem solving is required in order to find a solution that fits the person, their limb and their personal circumstances. Medical adaptive compression (MAC) systems provide solutions to complex situations. We present two cases of individuals who completed an inpatient rehabilitation stay for intensive treatment of their lymphoedema and were fitted with MAC devices to ensure long-term success.

The impact of design thinking on the learning of basketball and badminton

This study investigated the impact of the design thinking strategy on students' acquisition, learning, and maintenance of basketball and badminton skills. Using an experimental method, researchers compared two groups: an experimental group (Group A) that utilized the design thinking strategy and a control group (Group C) that used traditional teaching. The sample consisted of 58 third-year students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University, representing both groups. The acquisition test, prepared by the researchers, covered comprehension, interpretation, and application of concepts. It followed the same lesson sequence as the control group. Pre-existing basketball and badminton skills tests from the Hilla College curriculum were used. Statistically significant differences were found between the experimental and control groups, with the experimental group outperforming the control group in both the acquisition (p < 0.05) and maintenance tests (p < 0.05). The design thinking strategy effectively enhances the acquisition and maintenance of basketball and badminton skills compared to traditional methods. It also increases student engagement by fostering active participation, discussions, and creative problem-solving.

Improving 6th Grade Students’ Creative Problem Solving Skills Through Plugged and Unplugged Computational Thinking Approaches

In the digital age in which we live, one of the primary goals of education is to nurture individuals who are capable of thinking creatively, solving problems, and being innovative and productive. Computational thinking is an analytical process that requires defining problems and at the same time solving these problems by proceeding in creative ways. Based on this possible pattern of relationship between computational thinking and creativity, the aim of this study was to determine how two different versions of the computational thinking approach (plugged and unplugged) affect 6th-grade students' creative problem-solving skills (CPSS). Thus, two different teaching modules were designed on the circulatory system with a focus on plugged and unplugged computational thinking. A quasi-experimental design was used. Experiment group 1 utilized the plugged teaching module, experiment group 2 worked with the unplugged teaching module, and the control group in the Turkish middle school science curriculum's inquiry-based science activities. All three groups participated in 16 h of lessons over a 4-week period. We utilized the Creative Problem Solving Skills Inventory (CPSSI) for data collection. The results demonstrated that both the plugged and unplugged teaching modules were more successful at enhancing the CPSS than the inquiry-based science activities. Furthermore the unplugged teaching module was significantly more successful in developing CPSS compared to inquiry-based science activities. Hence, this empirical study demonstrated that both plugged and unplugged computational thinking approaches can enhance CPSS, but also reveals the greater effectiveness of unplugged approaches in fostering middle school students' CPSS.

Changes in semantic memory structure support successful problem-solving and analogical transfer

Creative problem-solving is central in daily life, yet its underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Restructuring (i.e., reorganization of problem-related representations) is considered one problem-solving mechanism and may lead to an abstract problem-related representation facilitating the solving of analogous problems. Here, we used network science methodology to estimate participants’ semantic memory networks (SemNets) before and after attempting to solve a riddle. Restructuring was quantified as the difference in SemNets metrics between pre- and post-solving phases. Our results provide initial evidence that problem-related SemNets restructuring may be associated with the successful solving of the riddle and, subsequently, an analogous one. Solution-relevant concepts and semantically remote concepts became more strongly related in solvers. Only changes in semantically remote concepts were instrumental in actively solving the riddle while changes in solution-relevant concepts may reflect a pre-exposure to the solution.

Abstract This research paper focuses on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) applications to enhance the teaching of design thinking, aiming to provide a more effective and captivating educational experience. Design thinking, a creative problem-solving approach commonly taught in universities, emphasizes fostering students' creativity for innovative solutions to complex problems. Typically, workshops employ a straightforward toolkit comprising paper, stickers, markers, and prototyping materials. However, in response to students' pronounced interest in emerging technologies, this study investigates the integration of technology, specifically AI, into the teaching of the design thinking method. Conducting an analysis of scholarly articles published within the last two years, during the rise in popularity of AI applications such as Midjourney or ChatGPT, the paper examines the intersection of technology and pedagogy. The focus is on exploring how each step of the design thinking process can be enhanced through AI, elucidating potential limitations of employing this technology in teaching creative problem-solving, and determining the optimal balance between human creativity and machine learning. The overarching goal is to glean insights into successfully training students in the field of design thinking. It is important for educators to model responsible use of ChatGPT, prioritise critical thinking, and be clear about expectations. Educators need to present students the ethical implications of AI in education underlining the importance of skill and knowledge development rather than reliance on AI systems.

학습자 주도성(Student Agency)을 기반한 창의적 문제해결수업에 참여한 대학생의 학습자 주도성의 발달과정과 미래창의융합역량함양에 관한 혼합연구

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the development process of learner initiative(student agen-cy) and the cultivation of future creative convergence competency in creative problem solving class based on learner initiative(student agency) and to explore implications. Methods The qualitative data was collected from 15 weeks of class reflection, class project results, teacher inter-views, peer evaluation papers, etc. The amount of collected data was 683 sheets of A4 paper and line by line anal-ysis was used. In order to support and supplement qualitative research, quantitative data collection was also conducted. Based on the operational definition of future creative convergence talent competency by Park Hyun-hee and Kwak Min-jung (2023), future creative convergence measurement was conducted before and after the 15-week class using questions suitable for this study through expert validity.The collected quantitative data were analyzed using the Spss 21 statistical program. Results As a result of qualitative data analysis, it was categorized into three core themes ⁇ understanding and demonstrating learner initiative, practicing communication and cooperation, and ⁇⁇recognizing continuous re-flection as a lifelong learner.As a result of quantitative data analysis, it was verified that the future creative con-vergence ability of college students who applied for the creative problem solving ability course based on learner initiative was cultivated. Conclusions The implications of this study are that the creativity problem solving class based on the learner ini-tiative, which is the core educational capacity for the future, has a high level of convergence ability of future crea-tivity, which is related to the core theme, and it is confirmed that the class in which the learner initiative is culti-vated through the team project activity was performed.Through this, discussions on the results, implications of limitations of the study, and future research directions were suggested.
