Analisis Tipologi Sektor Ekonomi Potensial Kabupaten Kerinci Provinsi Jambi

This study aims to find out which sectors are the leading sectors in Kerinci Regency, to find out the growth rate of the leading sector GRDP and total GRDP and to find out the Typology of Each Economic Sector in Kerinci Regency. analyzed using the Location Quetiont (LQ), Growth Rate and Klassen Typology formula, with the following research results: I. The leading sectors in Kerinci Regency are, water pawnshops, waste and waste management, agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors, information and communication sector, other service sectors, government administration sector, health services sector and social activities, education services and real estate sector. 2. The growth rate in Kerinci Regency, especially in the number of Gross Regional Domestic Product of the leading sector, experienced an ups and downs or the absence of a balance in the growth rate as well as for the total Gross Regional Domestic Product at the growth rate, it also experienced an imbalance in the growth rate or experienced an ups and downs in the growth rate in Kerinci Regency 3. While the Klassen typology for The leading sectors in Kerinci Regency, namely the water supply sector, waste and waste management are in (Quadrant III) with information on advanced but depressed sectors, then for the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Government Administration, Real Estate, Health Services and social activities sectors, this sector is in (Quadrant II) with sectoral information that is potential or can still develop rapidly, for ( Quadrant I) there is the information and communication sector, other services and the last is education services with information on advanced and fast-growing sectors.

The perspectives and trends of THz technology in material research for future communication - a comprehensive review

In recent years, the realm of terahertz (THz) has seen a new paradigm of unprecedented development and offered new possibilities to strengthen the communication sector by studying the dielectric properties of different materials. The aim of this article is to present a comprehensive review of various THz technologies that have been employed to investigate the intrinsic characteristics of different materials. In addition, the study highlights the significance use of THz wave guides with some discussion on sources, and detectors and components. Towards the end, it highlights the future trends of THz technology and the challenges. The paper concludes that THz technology has a promising potential and offer new opportunities for applications in characterization of composite materials.

ANALISIS SEKTOR EKONOMI UNGGULAN DI KABUPATEN SUMBAWA

This study aims to know and analyze the leading sectors of the economy in Sumbawa District, which are competitive in economic growth. The type of this study was qualitative study. The data used was secondary data obtained from the Gross Regional Domestic Product of Sumbawa district and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province in 2012-2017. The data analysis tool used was the analysis technique of Growth Ratio Model (MRP) and Klassen Typology. The results of the study showed based on Growth Ratio Model analysis (GRM) showed that there were several sectors that had positive growth in the study area and reference area, including the Wholesale and Retail Trade sector, Car and Motorcycle Repair and the information and communication sector. Meanwhile, the results of the Klassen typology showed that the economic sectors classified as superior sectors were the agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors; electricity and gas procurement sector; wholesale and retail trade, repair and maintenance of cars and motorcycles; and the education services sector. So, based on the results of the two analytical tools used, the conclusion were that the leading sectors in Sumbawa district were prominent sectors and the advanced sectors are agriculture, forestry and fisheries; wholesale and retail trade, repair of cars and motorcycles; electricity and gas procurement sector; and the education services sector.

2022 Charles Todd Oration

The Charles Todd Oration is an annual event run by TelSoc and is named for Charles Todd, the Postmaster-General of South Australia, who was responsible for completing the Overland Telegraph Line from Darwin to Adelaide in 1874. The 2022 Oration was delivered in Sydney on 21 October 2022 by The Hon. Michelle Rowland, MP, Minister for Communications. At the time she had been in the role for about 5 months following the change of government at the Federal election on 21 May 2022. The Minister used her speech to set out the Government’s aims for the communications sector and its initial priorities, and to reflect on her appreciation of the circumstances and potential for the sector, its stakeholders and end-users of communications services. This study aims to describe the pattern of Communication Culture in the 4.0 Industrial Era among the community of Astanamukti Village, Pangenan District, Cirebon Regency, Indonesia. The focus of this study is the pattern of cultural communication that occurs in society, as well as social changes in society towards patterns of communication culture in the industrial era 4.0 and the impact of social change in the people of the village under study on cultural communication patterns. This study used descriptive qualitative research. The data source for this research were village officials, community leaders, youth leaders, and teachers. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, drawing conclusions, and checking the validity of the data. The study results show that the communication patterns in the Astanamukti Village community in the current 4.0 industrial era are widely varied, starting from an understanding of communication media which has begun to increase among the Astanamukti village community. Social changes occur in the economic, cultural, communication, and social sectors. The impact of social change on the village community includes positive and negative effects, which were also influenced by the presence of industrial development.

APPLICATION OF THE APRIORI ALGORITHM TO DETERMINE THE COMBINATION OF POVERTY INDICATORS

Poverty is a society that has not been solved until now. The decline in poverty in Laweyan District from 2000 to 2013 was 5.71%, among the five lowest in the reduction in the percentage of poverty in Central Java Province. The problem of poverty is very complex, and the differences in regional characteristics, as well as the techniques used, also influence the indicators of the causes of poverty and the formulation of policies for poverty alleviation. This study uses Principal Component Analysis as part of data preprocessing, followed by applying association rules with the Apriori Algorithm to explore the relationship pattern of poverty indicators. Based on the research that has been conducted on the poverty dataset, which consists of 46 attributes, it is found that the attributes that have passed the preprocessing data are six attributes, namely the Poor Population, ADHB in the Communication Sector, ADHB in the Mining and Excavation Sector, ADHB in the Agriculture and Food Crops Sector, ADHB in the Plantation Sector. and unemployment. These six attributes are transformed into Ascending, Fixed, and Descending categorical data. The fuzzification process for the increase and decrease categories uses the shoulder-type triangle membership function. Applying the Apriori Algorithm to the poverty dataset with a minimum support of 0.4 and a minimum confidence of 0.8 produces 38 rules that show the relationship between indicators and poverty and 134 rules that show the relationship pattern between indicators.

ANALYSIS OF CHANGES IN THE INPUT OUTPUT STRUCTURE OF DKI JAKARTA PROVINCE IN 2016 AND 2024: USING THE DYNAMIC INPUT OUTPUT (DIO) MODEL

This study aims to look at the estimated structural changes in the input output table for DKI Jakarta Province in 2024. Estimates for changes in the structure are obtained by making projections of the input-output table for DKI Jakarta Province in 2024 using the Dynamic Input Output (DIO) model, namely by embedding the econometric model into the input output model, using the 2016 based year, 52 economic sectors, and 22 data series from 2000 to 2021.DIO is a hybrid model that places more emphasis on non-survey aspects that combines macro-econometric equations with identity equations in input-output analysis. This model has many dynamic equations consisting of 425 equation model. The parameters value of the equation are estimated using a combination of three estimation methods: (1) Ordinary Least Square, (2) First Order of Autoregressive, and (3) Second Order of Autoregressive. The general balance value in the DIO model is formulated using the Gauss-Seidel iteration "RAS" method.The results of the study show that in 2024 the corporate services sector, the chemical, pharmaceutical and traditional medicine industry sector, and the transportation equipment industry sector are the dominant sectors in shaping changes in the structure of intermediate demand. The Construction Sector, the Corporate Services sector, and the transportation equipment industry sector are the dominant sectors shaping changes in the structure of intermediate input. The construction sector, the real estate sector, and the wholesale and retail trade sector, not cars and motorcycles, are the dominant sectors in shaping changes in the structure of final demand. For the gross value added component, the Wholesale and Retail Trade sector, Not Cars and Motorcycles, the Private Information and Communication sector, and the Financial Intermediary Services sector other than the Central Bank are the largest sectors in the formation of structural changes.

Leading Sector Analysis in Gunung Mas Regency

This study aims to find out which economic sectors are the leading sectors in Indonesia, to know the structure of the regional economy, to find out the development of the leading economic sectors and to find out which sectors have potential sectors in Gunung Mas Regency. The analysis tools used are Location Quotient Analysis, Shift Share, Klassen Typology and Growth Ratio Model. From the results of the analysis it can be concluded from the four analytical tools: (1) the results of the Location Quotient analysis, namely the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector, the Construction Sector, the Food and Drink Accommodation Provision Sector, the Information and Communication Sector, the Real Estate Sector, the Service Sector Companies, the Government Administration Sector, Defense and Compulsory Social Security, the Education Services Sector, and the Health Services and Social Activities Sector which are the leading economic sectors in Gunung Mas Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. (2) The results of the Shift Share analysis are that there is no shift in the economic structure in Gunung Mas Regency. (3) The results of the Klassen Typology, namely the Advanced and Rapidly Growing Sector (Quadrant I) in Gunung Mas Regency are the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector, the Mining and Quarrying Sector, the Construction Sector and the Information and Communication Sector. (4) The results of the analysis of the Growth Ratio Model, that the Potential sector is the Wholesale and Retail Trade Sector; Car and Motorcycle Repair, Real Estate Sector, Government Administration Sector, Defense and Compulsory Social Security, Health Services and Social Activities Sector

STRUKTUR EKONOMI POTENSIAL DAN DAYA SAING ANTAR SEKTOR DI KABUPATEN/KOTA DI KALIMANTAN SELATAN

The aim of the study was to determine the potential economic structure and competitiveness between economic sectors in districts/cities in South Kalimantan. Shift Share analysis was used as the research method. The results of the study showed that during the period 2012-2018, the economy in districts/cities in South Kalimantan, totaling 13 districts/cities, had a competitive sector for each district/city, which could be seen from the positive Cij value. It indicated that a sector had competitiveness and specialization. In other words, having competitive advantage showed the capability of a region to market its products outside the region / abroad / global market. In 13 districts/cities in South Kalimantan, they were still quite controlled by the sectors of agriculture, forestry and fishery, mining and quarrying sectors, Processing industry; Procurement of electricity and gas, Procurement, Construction; Wholesale and retail trade, repairs, Transportation and warehousing, Provision of accommodation and food and drink, Real estate, Corporate services, Government administration of defense and social security, Educational services, Health services and social activities. However, in terms of negative or less competitive sectors, they were information and communication sector, financial services and other services.

Digitalizing infrastructure, digital platforms and public services

This article discusses the challenges posed to the traditional, physically delivered public services as a result of their digitalization, something that mainly concerns infrastructure public services in the transport, the energy, and the communications sectors. In addition, it assesses whether the digital interfaces that increasingly intermediate between the traditional, physical public services and the citizens also have public service features and, as a consequence, should be regulated accordingly. The article first clarifies the concept of public service in the context of the liberalization of the infrastructure sectors, sectors in which public services had come to play an important role over time. It then explains how to conceptualize digitalization and its effects on physical services providers by paying particular attention to the business model of the digital platforms. It furthermore examines how digitalization affects the traditional physical public services and whether the digital platforms in the concerned infrastructures could have public service features. In the concluding section it discusses remedies.

Design, Challenges and Developments for 5G Massive MIMO Antenna Systems at Sub 6-GHz Band: A Review.

Massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) is a wireless access technique that has been studied and investigated in response to the worldwide bandwidth demand in the wireless communication sector (MIMO). Massive MIMO, which brings together antennas at the transmitter and receiver to deliver excellent spectral and energy efficiency with comparatively simple processing, is one of the main enabling technologies for the upcoming generation of networks. To actualize diverse applications of the intelligent sensing system, it is essential for the successful deployment of 5G-and beyond-networks to gain a better understanding of the massive MIMO system and address its underlying problems. The recent huge MIMO systems are highlighted in this paper's thorough analysis of the essential enabling technologies needed for sub-6 GHz 5G networks. This article covers most of the critical issues with mMIMO antenna systems including pilot realized gain, isolation, ECC, efficiency, and bandwidth. In this study, two types of massive 5G MIMO antennas are presented. These types are used depending on the applications at sub-6 GHz bands. The first type of massive MIMO antennas is designed for base station applications, whereas the most recent structures of 5G base station antennas that support massive MIMO are introduced. The second type is constructed for smartphone applications, where several compact antennas designed in literature that can support massive MIMO technology are studied and summarized. As a result, mMIMO antennas are considered as good candidates for 5G systems.

Diagnosing the UK productivity slowdown: which sectors matter and why?

AbstractThis paper explores the slowdown in labour productivity growth in the UK and other advanced economies by decomposing its growth into contributions from different sectors of the economy, looking at both within‐industry productivity growth and labour reallocation between sectors. We find that the within‐industry contribution is the main source of the slowdown. Comparing trends pre‐ and post‐2008, the aggregate productivity slowdown can be attributed largely to the manufacturing sector and the information and communication (ICT) sector. Disaggregating further, the UK productivity growth slowdown can be attributed mainly to transport equipment and pharmaceuticals within manufacturing, and computer software and telecommunications within ICT. Strikingly, these are advanced, high value‐added sectors considered to be strengths of the UK economy. Looking across other advanced economies, our results confirm that manufacturing and ICT sectors are the main drivers of the slowdown, to differing degrees. Part of the explanation for the slowdown in in these sectors may relate to the underlying question of how to construct deflators for a modern economy when technological and structural changes are leading to large relative price shifts. The structure and supply chains of the key slowdown sectors also merit further investigation.

КІБЕРБЕЗПЕКА ЯК НАПРЯМОК ЗАХИСТУ ІНФОРМАЦІЙНОКОМУНІКАЦІЙНОГО СЕКТОРУ В СУЧАСНИХ УМОВАХ

Ensuring the protection of the information and communication sector is an important component in the country's economic growth and further progress. The issue of cyber security of the information and communication sector stands out as an important direction both at the international and at the state level. In times of war, cyber threats can have serious consequences, including financial losses, reputational damage, legal liabilities, and risks to both national security and individual sectors. It is analyzed the progress of Ukraine in cyber security based on such indicators as general security indicators, basic cyber security indicators, incident and crisis management indicators in the article. According to the Global ICT Regulatory Outlook, Ukraine ranks low in the regulation of the studied area – 78th out of 96 countries. However, Ukraine has made significant progress in cyber security, as highlighted by the Global Cyber Security Index. According to most of the general indicators, full implementation is highlighted, among the basic indicators there is a need to increase the protection of digital services, according to the indicators of incident and crisis management, military cyber operations and cyber crisis management are the least developed. Cyber threats can result in significant consequences during times of war, including financial loss, reputational damage, legal liabilities, and risks to national security. At the beginning of the war, more than 120 powerful cyber attacks on the resources of state authorities and military administration of Ukraine, as well as IT systems of critical infrastructure facilities, communication operators and mass media. Despite the positive developments, the country still faces challenges, especially in the area of protection of digital services, for which there is no competent supervisory authority. The need for cyber security in the information and communication sector and measures that can be taken to increase cyber resilience are highlighted, especially in the area of protection of digital services. Parties should cooperate with the government to improve cyber resilience. Cooperation may include sharing threat information, best practices, and resources, and coordinating incident response and recovery efforts. The issue of cyber defense of the economy in the conditions of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine is gaining special relevance and is allocated to a separate direction of state policy.

Remote workers' perceived health during the COVID-19 pandemic: an exploratory study of influencing factors in the IT and communications sector in Malta.

The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a sudden switch to remote working that many organisations and workers were unprepared for. The study investigates the perceived impact of remote working on workers' health and influencing factors. The topic has received limited attention within published studies. A cross-sectional online survey was distributed to IT and communication remote workers in Malta (N=459). Closed-ended questions were analysed quantitatively in order to identify perceived changes in health. Open-ended questions were analysed qualitatively to determine the perceived reasons for such changes. More workers reported that their health had deteriorated than improved during the first 12 months of the pandemic. Greater proportions of remote work were associated with improved levels of health. Several factors were perceived to have influenced levels of health, including: health behaviours, such as physical activity, nutrition, and sleep; the development of disease, particularly mental health issues; work related factors, such as social support, work demands, and the blurring of work-life boundaries; and personal factors, including family life and leisure. The study concludes that remote working can be beneficial for health when workers engage in the correct health-promoting behaviours and are provided with the necessary support, both during their working and private life.

Assessment of Electronic Media Laws in Enhancing Media Operation Services in Tanzania: A Case of Three Selected Media Laws

This study assessed the Electronic Media Laws in Tanzania and their impact on the enhancement of media operation services in the country. The study focuses on three selected media laws: the Media Service Act 2016, Electronic and Postal Communication Act 2010, and Cyber Crimes Act 2015. These laws have been in place for several years and are expected to improve the quality of media services by ensuring that they are conducted in a fair and ethical manner. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study was conducted in the Dar es Salaam and Mbeya regions of Tanzania, with a sample size of 80 participants, including members of the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), press clubs, and journalists. The study was guided by three research objectives: to identify the various laws used by the TCRA in regulating the communications sector, to examine the enforcement of selected media legislations and to assess the impact of these laws and regulations on media and the broader communication sector in Tanzania. The study employed a qualitative research design, using interviews and document analysis to collect data. The data collected were analysed using thematic analysis. The findings of the study revealed that the selected media laws have had a positive impact on the media industry in Tanzania by enhancing media operation services. Specifically, the Media Service Act 2016 has improved media ethics and professionalism, the Electronic and Postal Communication Act 2010 has enhanced the efficiency of media service delivery, and the Cyber Crimes Act 2015 has improved media security. The study concludes that the Electronic Media Laws in Tanzania have played a critical role in enhancing media operation services in the country.

Cooperative Channel and Optimized Route Selection in Adhoc Network

Over the last decade, mobile Adhoc networks have expanded dramatically in popularity, and their impact on the communication sector on a variety of levels is enormous. Its uses have expanded in lockstep with its growth. Due to its instability in usage and the fact that numerous nodes communicate data concurrently, adequate channel and forwarder selection is essential. In this proposed design for a Cognitive Radio Cognitive Network (CRCN), we gain the confidence of each forwarding node by contacting one-hop and second level nodes, obtaining reports from them, and selecting the forwarder appropriately with the use of an optimization technique. At that point, we concentrate our efforts on their channel, selection, and lastly, the transmission of data packets via the designated forwarder. The simulation work is validated in this section using the MATLAB program. Additionally, steps show how the node acts as a confident forwarder and shares the channel in a compatible method to communicate, allowing for more packet bits to be transmitted by conveniently picking the channel between them. We calculate the confidence of the node at the start of the network by combining the reliability report for the first hop and the reliability report for the secondary hop. We then refer to the same node as the confident node in order to operate as a forwarder. As a result, we witness an increase in the leftover energy in the output. The percentage of data packets delivered has also increased.

Government Infrastuctural Spending and Economic Growth in Nigeria

The Nigerian government has consistently increased spending without a corresponding improvement in the country’s economic growth trajectory. Using Hirschman’s approach, this study investigated the impact of government spending on economic growth in Nigeria, analyzing annual data from 1970 to 2020. The study utilized data from the CBN Statistical Bulletin to examine government’s spending in the transport, communication, health, education, and utilities sectors. An autoregressive distributed lag model was employed, and the results indicate a positive but non-significant short-term effect of communication and utility sector spending on Nigeria’s economic growth. However, there was a negative but non-significant short-term effect of transportation, health, and education sector spending on Nigeria’s economic growth. Thus, the study recommends that the government increase expenditure on the highlighted sectors, as well as the agricultural and petroleum sectors, which are areas where Nigeria is highly endowed. This approach will enable the country to achieve infrastructural development and positively impacting economic growth.

Trust in startups implementing foreign expansion: leader's perspective

The issue of supporting innovation, ensuring inclusive development, using new technologies and entrepreneurial potential is one of the basic elements of the concept of sustainable development, which is reflected, among others, in in EU strategic documents. There is a research gap where entrepreneurship is relatively little researched in the context of trust. Mainstream trust research overlooks entrepreneurship and its special features of placing uncertainty at the heart of its operation, in particular in the information, communication and high technology sector, and therefore among startups. The above results from the still weak research invention regarding the issues of managing these enterprises. Meanwhile, this is an area particularly predestined for research on trust. Therefore, the aim of the article is to try to answer the question about importance and the ways of building trust from the point of view of startup owners.Author used critical review of relevant literature and in-depth interviews to carried out the research in startups implementing foreign expansion outside of Poland. The presented study is part of a wider project, including interviews with leaders of other technology companies, as well as with other employees of selected departments of these companies. This article presents the results of the study of the one of group of leaders who are owners of startups, implementing foreign expansion.The conclusions drawn from the analysis confirm that the challenges underlying the foreign expansion of startups are not only technical, financial, legal or related to tax, etc. but they should be rooted and related to the need to take into account the specificity of the organizational culture of companies in their activities. The conducted research showed a high level of leaders' awareness of the need to build collective trust between employees in the company, but there is a need for systemic development at the institutional level regarding methods and tools that can be used in this regard. The key issue here is the growing importance of the organizational culture of trust built and developed by leaders, based on values. Therefore, the problem of managing startups in this context seems important, so that they can dynamically develop and grow.
