SENTIMENTAL CONCEPTUALISM OF TIMUR KIBIROV’S EARLY POETRY (“A MESSAGE TO L. S. RUBINSTEIN”)

The purpose of the work is to analyze the early texts of Timur Kibirov and determine his involvement in the group “Moscow romantic conceptualism” (B. Groys). The article shows that personal friendship with D. A. Prigov, L. Rubinstein, D. Novikov, M. Eisenberg and other conceptualists and soc-artists does not make Kibirov a conceptualist in the exact sense of the word. It is demonstrated that already in the early poems Kibirov overcomes the limited framework of conceptual art, following the path of perception of the tradition of Russian classical literature, inheriting its best examples. During the analysis, the sentimental components of Kibirov’s early poetry are shown using the example of the poem “A Message to L. S. Rubinstein” (1989).

TRANSCENDING THE WESTERN PARADIGMS: RECLAIMING THE INDIAN TEXTS THROUGH ‘COSMOCAL PREADING’

Indian classical literature, embodying millennia of cultural, spiritual, and philosophical wisdom, remains a cornerstone of the subcontinent’s intellectual tradition. However, the approach to reading and interpreting these texts has often been marred by modernist distortions and pedagogical limitations, which obscure their true essence. This paper seeks to explore the multifaceted richness of Indian classical literature, examining the pedagogical pitfalls and proposing alternative approaches—such as "Cosmocal Preading"—to effectively engage with these texts. By critiquing Eurocentric paradigms that define modernity and emphasizing the epistemological framework rooted in Indian cosmology, this research aims to establish a more holistic, multidimensional understanding of Indian classics. Furthermore, the paper discusses how terms like Dharma, Karma, and rebirth, crucial to texts like the Mahābhārata, must be understood within their own cultural and philosophical contexts rather than through reductive or misaligned frameworks. This article thus advocates for the re-education of both readers and scholars on how to approach classical texts in a way that honors their intended depth and universality.

Analysis of Emotional Conflicts of Vāsavdatta in Svapnavāsavadattam of Bhāsa with Reference to Modern Theories of Emotions

Abstract This paper delves into the intricate emotional conflicts experienced by Vāsavdatta, the protagonist of Bhāsa’s classical Sanskrit play Svapnavāsavadattam, through the lens of modern theories of emotions. By employing contemporary psychological frameworks, such as the Cognitive Appraisal Theory, James-Lange Theory, and Schachter-Singer Theory, we aim to unravel the complex emotional tapestry that defines Vāsavdatta’s character. This interdisciplinary approach not only enriches our understanding of her psychological landscape but also bridges the gap between ancient literary narratives and modern psychological insights. The analysis reveals how Vāsavdatta’s emotional experiences, shaped by love, separation, fear, and longing, align with and diverge from current emotional theories. Through this exploration, we highlight the timeless nature of human emotions and the enduring relevance of classical literature in illuminating contemporary psychological concepts. This study provides a nuanced perspective on Bhāsa’s work, demonstrating the profound psychological depth embedded in ancient texts and their potential to inform and enhance modern emotional theory.

Islamization of the Term “清真” (Qing Zhen): Its Analysis for Purity and Authenticity for Muslim in China

This paper aims at examining the meaning of the two Chinese characters “清” (Qing) and “真” (Zhen” once used singly as well as combined together in the Chinese classical literatures in order to show why and how the Chinese Muslim scholars have applied and Islamized them for interpreting Islam by the Confucian ways and Taoist methods at the civilization and culture dialogue level. Further, the paper also demonstrates the evolution of “Qing Zhen” which has eventually become a special term for Muslims in China and how its connotations have currently been limited and restricted. Meanwhile, the paper discusses the related critical issues, such as the epistemology of the Ḥalāl Food and its legislation in China. Lastly, the author comes with some humble suggestions which tie with the results of the study by wishing for Muslims, in China or anywhere else, to reexamine their conducts and to reconsider how to inherit Islam as well as how to hand it down to the next generation.

A Social-Ecological Systems Perspective on Working toward Resilience in Nature-Based Tourism Planning

ABSTRACT Integration of resilience thinking and systems approaches with nature-based tourism (NBT) planning to address the uncertainties and the dynamic complexities of the twenty-first century. It highlights the inadequacy of conventional planning methods to address the challenges faced by NBT, emphasizing the need for adaptive management and sustainable development practices. The study proposes a comprehensive resilience framework that includes three foundational elements: governance flexibility, a culture of learning, and financial support for resilience initiatives. Additionally, it outlines six actionable strategies to enhance resilience in NBT planning, such as acknowledging inherent turbulence, embracing systems thinking, and fostering adaptive pathways. Through a synthesis of classical and contemporary literature, this manuscript contributes novel insights and practical guidance for incorporating resilience into NBT planning, offering a path forward for sustaining tourism in the face of global disruptions and local challenges.

Purpose. The purpose of this article is to substantiate the need for students of legal specialties to study fundamental literary works in order to understand social, psychological and legal categories. It is impossible to imagine the formation of a person without the influence of works of classical Russian and world literature. This article is devoted to the importance, significance and expediency of studying works of fiction that affect the interaction of people and the functioning of society by students of law specialties. Methods: general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, generalization) and special methods of legal science (comparative law, formal law). Results: education as the foundation of every person›s life and as a consequence of the development of society as a whole is the most important branch of government activity. Legal education, like no other, lays down the moral, psychological and social components of future law enforcement officers. The quality of legal education is based on a balanced combination of knowledge and application of the colossal historical experience of our country, the richest cultural heritage and modern achievements of science, technology and technology. Discussion: the author has developed and proposed the concept of analyzing the plots of classical literary works from the point of view of modern judicial proceedings, including the interaction of participants in the process, evidence, and motivation of decisions. The article proposes a list of works of classical fiction, systematized taking into account the course of study and the disciplines studied within it, from the point of view of the importance of mastering the relevant discipline. The list is arranged in chronological order based on the plot and analyzed legal categories of interest in the framework of the study of a particular discipline. The author›s justification is based on the approach of the author›s criminology course of Professor O.Ya. Baev.

A comparison of cryptocurrency volatility-benchmarking new and mature asset classes

The paper analyzes the cryptocurrency ecosystem at both the aggregate and individual levels to understand the factors that impact future volatility. The study uses high-frequency panel data from 2020 to 2022 to examine the relationship between several market volatility drivers, such as daily leverage, signed volatility and jumps. Several known autoregressive model specifications are estimated over different market regimes, and results are compared to equity data as a reference benchmark of a more mature asset class. The panel estimations show that the positive market returns at the high-frequency level increase price volatility, contrary to what is expected from the classical financial literature. We attributed this effect to the price dynamics over the last year of the dataset (2022) by repeating the estimation on different time spans. Moreover, the positive signed volatility and negative daily leverage positively impact the cryptocurrencies’ future volatility, unlike what emerges from the same study on a cross-section of stocks. This result signals a structural difference in a nascent cryptocurrency market that has to mature yet. Further individual-level analysis confirms the findings of the panel analysis and highlights that these effects are statistically significant and commonly shared among many components in the selected universe.

Water Troubles: Peruvian Capitalists, Mining Infrastructure, and the First Copper Bonanza

Abstract This essay examines struggles over a water drainage tunnel as a window into the politics of mining, infrastructure, and national development in early twentieth-century Peru. It argues that the Peruvian mining elite operated as an organized network of entrepreneurs, mobilizing capital, environmental technology, and the power of the state to challenge the rising hegemony of US interests in Peru's copper corridor. Unlike the classic literature on nineteenth-century mining in Peru, which has presented Peruvian mineowners as a struggling bourgeoisie, this study focuses on this group's innovations and dynamism in the wake of the copper bonanza. It also studies its discursive strategies, which appealed to preexisting skepticism of free trade and anxieties about foreign influence. Altogether, this essay contributes to the literature on US imperialism and capitalist penetration by centering local actors and studying US hegemony as a contentious and contingent process.

The birth of such innovative newspapers as The Tatler and The Spectator enables the readers to observe and join the public debate through a new intellectual lens. The use of Latin epigrams opening every issue of The Spectator emphasizes not only the close interest in classical literature and culture, but also the communicative strategy focused on the celebration of wit through the moral paradigms of ancient Roman poets, at a time of the rise of modern public opinion. The poetical and rhetorical choices of Joseph Addison and Richard Steele, along with other Latin poetry enthusiasts such as Jonathan Swift and Alexander Pope, bitingly denounce social hypocrisies and contradictions through parody and mockery. Their purpose was to rebut conventional behavior through the permeating force of Enlightenment wit inspired by cleverness, satire and sarcasm.

Performance Techniques and Insights of the Guzheng Concerto “Chan Ge”

This paper explores the performance techniques and insights gained from playing Wang Jianmin’s guzheng concerto “Chan Ge.” By examining the concerto’s literary background, overall structure, and musical elements, the study reveals the intricate connections between the modern guzheng composition and classical literature. This approach aids performers and listeners in comprehending the cultural roots and messages behind the guzheng piece. From a performer’s perspective, the study analyzes “Chan Ge” in terms of its compositional background, tuning, structure, and performance techniques, highlighting its artistic features. Furthermore, the study delves into the cultural significance of the piece, examining the interplay between tradition and innovation, as well as individuality and universality. It showcases how the integration of Chinese and Western elements is reflected in the composition. This study helps deepen the understanding of Wang Jianmin’s compositional style and aims to promote China’s rich musical heritage, contributing to the flourishing of guzheng art in China. Moreover, it seeks to enhance the promotion and preservation of traditional guzheng music culture, providing valuable reference materials for guzheng performers.

Ethnonyms in “On a Chinese screen” by W.S. Maugham: a lexical and corpus-based analysis

In the article the topic about the recreation of ethno-cultural information based on linguistic and corpus analysis of the work of the famous classical British writer S. Maugham, consisting of a collection of short stories “on a Chinese screen” was considered. Subject of analysis is in science, is established that ethno-cultural information is directly related to the knowledge, experience, beliefs, traditions of a particular country. Classical British literature, including the book of S. Maugham, is distinguished by a unique, authentic, artistic, realistic description at the interconnection of different cultures. It was found out that S. Maugham's work, which was written during his travel to China, reflected on the cultural, spiritual values, traditions of the Chinese country, for which he felt with his heart, covered issues that have not lost their relevance to this day, such as inequality in society, cultural diversity, modernization at the cross-cultural relation and the influence between East and West, etc. The result of the article is related to S. Maugham's work, ethnonyms were collected using the esearching way, the frequency of their activity in literary books was determined through the Google Books NGram Viewer, search engine from 1880 to 2019, the frequency and lexical meaning were distinguished by a lexical and corpus-based analysis.

ПРЕЦЕДЕНТНЫЕ ФЕНОМЕНЫ В СОВРЕМЕННЫХ МЕДИАТЕКСТАХ (НА ПРИМЕРЕ ТВОРЧЕСТВА Н. В. ГОГОЛЯ)

This study is devoted to examining the texts of modern mass communication that contain elements of intertextuality in the form of precedent phenomena. Using the example of N.V. Gogol’s work precedent names, situations, statements were identified, and we analyzed their semantic and grammatical features established in the current media space. The material for the study were precedent units identified by the method of continuous sampling from modern media texts of various directions. As a result of the study, it was proved that journalists give preference to precedent phenomena associated with classical Russian literature with the works of the famous satirist N.V. Gogol. These works as a powerful tool for the formation of metaphorical models and scenarios, with the help of which parallels are drawn between the author's negative images and vices of modernity. Precedent units dating back to the work of N.V. Gogol are identified and described. We determined their semantic and pragmatic features, peculiarities of implementation in the current media space.

Rethinking the Roughness Height: An Improved Description of Temperature Profiles over Short Vegetation

In this study, we present an extension to the Monin–Obukov similarity theory (MOST) for the roughness sublayer (RSL) over short vegetation. We test our theory using temperature measurements from fiber optic cables in an array-shaped set-up. This provides a high vertical measurement resolution that enables us to measure the sharp temperature gradients near the surface. It is well-known that MOST is invalid in the RSL as the flow is distorted by roughness elements. However, to derive the surface temperature, it is common practice to extrapolate the logarithmic profiles down to the surface through the RSL. Instead of logarithmic behaviour defined by MOST near the surface, our observations show near-linear temperature profiles. This log-to-linear transition is described over an aerodynamically smooth surface by the Van Driest equation in classical turbulence literature. Here we propose that the Van Driest equation can also be used to describe this transition over a rough surface, by replacing the viscous length scale with a surface length scale Ls\\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \\usepackage{amsmath} \\usepackage{wasysym} \\usepackage{amsfonts} \\usepackage{amssymb} \\usepackage{amsbsy} \\usepackage{mathrsfs} \\usepackage{upgreek} \\setlength{\\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \\begin{document}$$L_s$$\\end{document} that represents the size of the smallest eddies near the grass structures. We show that Ls\\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \\usepackage{amsmath} \\usepackage{wasysym} \\usepackage{amsfonts} \\usepackage{amssymb} \\usepackage{amsbsy} \\usepackage{mathrsfs} \\usepackage{upgreek} \\setlength{\\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \\begin{document}$$L_s$$\\end{document} scales with the geometry of the vegetation and that the model shows the potential to be scaled up to tall canopies. The adapted Van Driest model outperforms the roughness length concept in describing the temperature profiles near the surface and predicting the surface temperature.

RUSSIAN ENGLISH IN THE WRITTEN DISCOURSE: FEATURES AND CHARACTERISTICS

The article is aimed at describing a number of certain recurrent features of Russian English in the academic, educational and literary domains of the written discourse in English created by the Russian speakers of English. The article argues that Russian culture, identity and academic traditions are verbalized through a range of translingual practices, starting with the transference of the Russian punctuation and sequence of presenting ideas, including lexical variety and Russian-English hybrids, and finishing with the “nativization and localization” [Platt, Weber and Ho, 1984: 2-3] of the common lexical units, terms, urbanonyms included, and even classic world literature, which is retranslated into Russian English from Russian (for instance, Andersen’s Thumbelina and Brothers Grimms’ Snow white). The combination of analyzed characteristic features invariably turns Russian English presented in the written discourse into a potent tool for the Russian identity construction recognizable both to the Russian and non-Russian speakers of English, specifically to those who are familiar with Russian culture and academic traditions. Yet, written discourse created via Russian English might mislead the speakers of other Englishes in case they have not been exposed to this particular variety on a regular basis.

MANASHILA: AN IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS THROUGH THE CLASSICAL TEXTS

Manashila, Haratala, and Somala are significant arsenic compounds that are deeply integrated into holistic prac-tices. Among these, Manashila is revered for its versatility and efficacy in treating various ailments. Its wide-spread employment extends to addressing afflictions such as Shwasa-Kasa (respiratory disorders), Agnimandya (digestive weaknesses), Kshaya (emaciation), Anaha (abdominal distention), Jwara (fever), Krimi (parasitic in-fections), Visharoga (poisoning disorders), Raktavikara (blood disorders), and more. The present study offers a comprehensive critical review of Classical literature focusing on Manashila. Numerous classical texts of Rasa Shastra have been meticulously scrutinised to furnish an exhaustive depiction of Manashila, encompassing its Praptisthana (occurrence), Prayaya (synonyms), Vargikarana (classification), Karma (pharmacological proper-ties), Ashuddha Manashila Dosha, its Prativisha (antidote), Shodhana (purification), Marana (incineration), Matra (therapeutic dose), Chikitsiya Prayoga (therapeutic indications), Satvapatana (extraction), along with elu-cidation on artificial methods of Manashila preparation, complemented by insights into Realgar. It is crucial to emphasise that Manashila is exclusively utilised in a purified and detoxified state for internal and external thera-peutic purposes.

Stages of formation of the interior of a modern passenger railway carriage: historical overview

Passenger transportation in rolling stock railway carriage on Russian railways in the last third of the 19th – early 21st centuries are considered from the point of view of comfort for passengers created by the arrangement of the railway carriage body. The distinctive features of the interior of passenger cars of classes I, II, III and IV in pre-revolutionary Russia (1872–1916) are considered. Comparison of the interior of cars of different classes on railways of the late 19th – early 20th centuries. With the interior of compartment and second-class carriages used for transportation in Soviet Russia, and carriages of modern Russia, allows us to trace the evolution of technological solutions in the internal arrangement of carriages.The characteristics of the main interior detail are given — the seating and lying areas for passengers, which is taken as the main indicator of comfort for passengers. The review of reference and historical data is supported by excerpts from works of Russian classical literature of the last third of the 19th century, and additional information about the seating areas for passengers.The emphasis is placed on the use of information about the interior of passenger cars of classes I, II, III and IV, drawn from works of Russian literature of the last third of the 19th century, as illustrative material, in the course of students mastering the topic “Roads of pre-revolutionary Russia” when studying the discipline “General course of railway transport” for higher and secondary vocational education programs.

Safūf-i Aslussūs: A time-tested polyherbal formulation for the management of Premature Ejaculation- A comprehensive review

Premature Ejaculation (PE) is the most prevalent male sexual complaint worldwide. The ability to control the timing of ejaculation is very important to get pleasure and to maintain the couple’s sexual health. PE is believed to have a multifactorial etiology which mainly includes psychogenic and biogenic factors. Currently available conventional drugs are based on mere assumptions and their use in PE is considered off-label as they have not been approved by the regulatory bodies. On the other hand, Unani System of Medicine has a holistic approach to the prevention and treatment of diseases and provides a line of treatment for PE which is mainly focused on the internal and external use of specific drugs for the restoration of lost powers, elimination of morbid humor and strengthening of organs, muscles, and nerves. In classical Unani literature, PE/Surʻat-i-Inzāl are described in detail under the heading of Amrāz-i-Bāh. In the series of drug therapy a polyherbal Unani formulation, Safūf-i Aslussūs mentioned in different Unani Pharmacopoeias for the management of PE, and Spermatorrhoea is widely prescribed and recommended for a long time by Unani physicians and it is a time-tested drug. This manuscript is an attempt to summarize scientific studies in support of the claim made by Unani physicians regarding Safūf-i Aslussūs. Therapeutic effect of an Ayurvedic drug in the management of Respiratory Allergic Disorders in children - A comprehensive review

Background: Respiratory allergic disorders (RAD) are the most common allergy symptom seen in children. Respiratory allergies are primarily caused by hyper responsiveness of the respiratory mucosa, which results in histamine release and mast cell activation. In Ayurvedic words, this could be viewed as an abnormality of the body's immune system or Ojus induced by disrupted Vata, Kapha, and Pitta. The prevalence of respiratory allergies in school-aged children in India varies widely, ranging from 5-20%. Methods: This study was completed by gathering the knowledge from classical Ayurvedic literature, research articles, guidelines and PubMed and MedLine databases. Results and Discussion: Dashmoola Katutrayadi drug is mentioned in Sahastra Yogam under Swasa Kasahara Kashaya have Shwas-Kasahar, anti-inflammatory, anti-histaminic and anti-asthmatic effects individually and in combinations. Conclusion: Present review reveals that these drugs have potential to alleviate the severity and frequency of RAD and can be used for the management of the same.
