Menumbuhkan Kreativitas dan Cinta Lingkungan Anak Pekerja Migran di Sanggar Bimbingan Kepong Malaysia dengan Proyek Pancasila Berbasis Zero Waste

This service aims to foster creativity and love for the environment in the children of migrant workers at the Kepong Guidance Center, Kuala Lumpur, through the Zero Waste-Based Pancasila Project. Children of migrant workers often face a variety of difficulties, such as lack of access to essential services and difficult economic conditions. This program provides formal and value-based education of Pancasila, which is integrated with the concept of zero waste. Through lecture and participatory methods, children are taught to utilize waste, especially paper, into products of economic value. This activity not only improves creative and critical thinking skills, but also in stills environmental sustainability values. The results of the program show the active participation and high enthusiasm of the children in the educational and practical process. In addition to increasing creativity, the program also strengthens children's awareness of the importance of an eco-friendly lifestyle and social responsibility. This program makes a positive contribution to improving the quality of life and future opportunities of migrant workers' children.

Dental Health Education at Aisyiyah Kindergarten, Kalitengah Village

Dental and oral health is an important part of overall body health. Problems with teeth and mouth can negatively impact body health and interfere with daily activities, especially in children. Dental health education at Aisyiyah Kindergarten in Kalitengah Village is crucial for raising children's awareness of the importance of oral hygiene. This educational activity includes outreach on proper tooth brushing techniques, understanding the significance of dental health, and providing information on foods that are beneficial or harmful to teeth. Through a fun and interactive approach, children are encouraged to actively participate in tooth brushing practices and selecting healthy foods. The results of this activity indicate an increase in children's understanding of dental health, which is expected to foster good habits from an early age to maintain their dental health in the future

Social Media Influences on Dietary Awareness in Children.

Social media platforms have become increasingly influential channels for discussing various aspects of children's health, including dietary habits and food choices. This research explores the impact of social media on childhood dietary habits regarding the foods children consume by analyzing published findings about online videos and other social media platforms. From a pool of 9646 articles available on Google Scholar, Science Direct, Web of Science, and ProQuest, 25 were selected for inclusion in this systematic literature review after meeting the qualifying criteria. The screened papers contained clinical studies, cross-sectional studies, and editorials published in English. A review of these articles revealed that individuals' communication with friends via social media significantly enhanced their comprehension of conversations related to weight management. The results of this research inform efforts to combat poor diets and promote overall well-being among children at an earlier stage when personal interactions are likely limited. To promote the healthy growth of children, it is essential that the videos they engage with offer them appropriate guidance on maintaining a nutritious diet. Ultimately, this research provides insights into how social media creates environments conducive to the well-being of children. As a result, social media can serve as a valuable resource to help mitigate the prevalence of obesity in this vulnerable population.

Decomposing decision-making in preschoolers: Making decisions under ambiguity versus risk.

Decision-making in the real world involves multiple abilities. The main goal of the current study was to examine the abilities underlying the Preschool Gambling task (PGT), a preschool variant of the Iowa Gambling task (IGT), in the context of an integrative decision-making framework. Preschoolers (n = 144) were given the PGT along with four novel decision-making tasks assessing either decision-making under ambiguity or decision-making under risk. Results indicated that the ability to learn from feedback, to maintain a stable preference, and to integrate losses and gains contributed to the variance in decision-making on the PGT. Furthermore, children's awareness level on the PGT contributed additional variance, suggesting both implicit and explicit processes are involved. The results partially support the integrative decision-making framework and suggest that multiple abilities contribute to individual differences in decision-making on the PGT.

Importance of senso-perceptive skills in children of primal school age

The purpose of this review is to find out the importance other researchers have given to the study of senso-perceptive awareness, as well as the pathways of improvement in lower school-age children. We should use mobility activities to increase the development of coordination and balance in children. Methodology: For this literature review used database as; PubMed, Google Scholar, Web Science and Science Direct. With the help of keywords which include the phrases "senso-perceptive skills", "senso-perceptive skills training", "kinesthetic control", "visual coordination", "proprioception" and other combinations. Results: defining the age of 6-10 generates 154,000 items. The restriction on articles published in the last 10 years generated 16,800 articles. The increased use of keywords channels the search into 330 articles of which 40 were selected as the most relevant articles to our topic. Conclusions: This study of literature aims to illustrate that better developmental support for children can be achieved through exercise and of course a particular importance of senso-perceptive abilities. Another very important point is the definition and design of a manual, with the aim of incorporating into the teaching curriculum. People involved in the education and care of preschoolers should train children's awareness and responsibility for their bodies.

Enhancing Preschoolers' Independence through Toilet Training: A Case Study of Two Daycares in Semarang City

Toilet training is one of the important efforts in improving the independence and personal hygiene of preschool children, especially in the context of thaharah values in Islam. This study aims to describe the efforts to improve thaharah and independence of preschool children through toilet training in two daycare centers in Semarang City. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study approach model. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with educators, and documentation. The results showed that both daycare centers have integrated the values of thaharah in their toilet training programs. The approaches used include habituation, modeling, and the use of language that is suitable for children's understanding. In addition to increasing independence in toilet use, the toilet training program also succeeded in fostering children's awareness of the importance of maintaining personal hygiene in accordance with religious teachings. Challenges faced in implementing toilet training include differences in children's characteristics, lack of parental support, and limited facilities. This study contributes to the development of toilet training programs that are oriented towards religious values. Recommendations include the importance of collaboration between educators, parents, and religious leaders in instilling the values of thaharah from an early age. In addition, it is necessary to develop a more comprehensive curriculum that integrates cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in the toilet training process.

Folk games as a tool of formation of artistic and creative competence of primary school children in music classes

The article describes the features of acquiring artistic and creative competence, as a child's elementary awareness of the specifics of art forms (artistic and productive, musical, theatrical); valuable attitude to art and artistic activity, the desire to perceive folklore art. Folkloric forms of the heritage of Ukrainian culture are considered. Teaching and methodical material and practical recommendations are offered, which in music classes will be useful both to experienced teachers of preschool institutions and to those workers who are starting to work with the smallest brains. Normative documents in the field of preschool education were studied and play competence was considered as a child's ability to free, emotionally saturated, spontaneous activity on his/her own initiative, in which the possibility of applying existing and assimilating new knowledge and personal development is realized due to the child's desire to participate in the life of adults through the realization of interests in game and role-playing actions in a generalized form. The necessity of using folk games for the formation of artistic and creative competence in preschool children is substantiated. Peculiarities of knowledge of the surrounding world of preschool children and themselves in it are determined. The work proposes to create a basis for the natural formation and development of musical abilities in preschoolers through a folk game by encouraging children to play folk games. It has been emphasized that raising children is based on love and respect for Ukrainian musical folklore. The secrets of conducting music classes using folk games and working with preschoolers are recommended to teachers of primary schools, music teachers, teachers of children's vocal ensembles of extracurricular and club institutions, scientists, graduate students, students of pedagogical and art educational institutions, parents and the general public

Proyecto de concientización ambiental “Granito de Arena”

The "Granito de Arena" project aims to increase environmental awareness among children in Huanchaco, Peru. It focuses on providing children with tools and knowledge to contribute to environmental protection from an early age. The methodology used involves data collection before and after program implementation, aiming to assess its impact on children's environmental awareness. A combination of surveys and interviews was used to gather information on participants' prior knowledge and subsequent changes in environmental perception. The results show significant improvements in children's knowledge and environmental awareness, as well as in the internalization of sustainable practices. In conclusion, the study highlights the effectiveness of educational interventions in instilling environmental values from an early age and emphasizes the importance of continuing to strengthen these efforts to achieve lasting impact on environmental protection.

On the Importance of Contextualizing an Educational Escape Room Activity

This paper describes the design and evaluation of "Enigma Bio", an educational escape room activity that aims to convey the abstract concept of biodiversity to children between 11 and 13 years of age, making them aware of the importance of climate change and its impact on biodiversity. The design of Enigma Bio is closely linked to the Biodiversity exhibition at the National Museum of Natural Sciences in Madrid, designed for a visit in groups of between 20 and 30 children, with an approximate duration of one hour, running on mobile devices and including augmented reality technology. The purpose of this research is to determine whether, in the case of educational escape room activities in museums with a limited time duration, it is more effective to have a pre-session introducing the topic. Our hypothesis is that without the context of the pre-explanation, the playful component of the game may be too powerful and may cause children not to pay enough attention to the message that the game intends to communicate, and even more so when dealing with a complex message such as the effect of climate change on biodiversity. To answer this research question, we follow an A/B testing experimental design involving two groups of children, one of which received an introductory talk on biodiversity and climate change before going to the museum and the other did not. The experimental design is completed with a pre-post evaluation of the children's environmental awareness by means of a previously validated questionnaire. The results of the experiment provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of the pre-session introduction in enhancing the learning outcomes of short educational escape room activities. Significant differences were observed between pre- and post-activity tests, indicating a moderate overall increase in awareness scores within both individual groups (A and B) as well as across the combined results. The findings suggest that the pre-session introduction indeed plays a role in enhancing students' awareness of the targeted message. These results represent a breakthrough in the e-learning practice that will be of value to other designers of educational escape rooms with a limited time duration.

Metapragmatic awareness development in Chinese Children: A conversational competence perspective

The current study investigates the development of metapragmatic awareness in conversational competence among Chinese children aged 4–12 years. Utilizing eight cartoons, children were engaged with a series of metapragmatic questions targeting violations of four maxims of cooperation. By assessing their performance in a task involving conversational principles, we explore the progression of their metapragmatic skills. The results shows i) The metapragmatic awareness in different age groups increased. The early school-age stage was the transitional period in the development of children's metapragmatic awareness. The development range of metapragmatic awareness did not continuously increase in the later school-age stage. ii) Metacognitive awareness was in the salient position in the preschool stage, and in the early school-age stage metarepresentational awareness was predominant. Three forms of metapragmatic awareness did not develop sequentially. iii) The Chinese paratactic language structures and their profound cultural backgrounds influenced children's performance of metapragmatic awareness. This research provides a new paradigm for developmental pragmatics and it has a certain value for the treatment and intervention of the children with pragmatic impairments.

Illustration in Children's Food Packaging Involved Methods and Applications

With the growth of the global population, the children's food market is expanding, and the design of children's food packaging is increasingly being paid attention to. As an intuitive and vivid visual language, illustration plays a vital role in children's food packaging. It can not only attract children's attention and improve the appeal of the product but also increase the interest in the package through the story context and game elements, thereby enhancing children's awareness and loyalty to the brand. Therefore, the application method and effect of illustration in children's food packaging have become a problem worth studying. In-depth understanding of children's preferences and cognitive characteristics of illustration in different age groups is helpful to design food packaging that better meets children's needs. With the continuous expansion of the modern children's consumer market, illustration design, as an indispensable element in children's food packaging, has a unique visual appeal and emotional connection ability to attract children consumers. This paper will study the method of integrating illustration design into children's food packaging and discuss the three parts of hand-drawn design, vector drawing, and digital synthesis technology in detail. This paper aims to explore the application methods and effects of illustration in children's food packaging, identify the research gaps in this field by summarizing the current research progress, and put forward the research theme and specific problems of this paper. Then, the methods adopted in this study will be introduced in detail, and their significance will be expounded. Finally, future development will be predicted, and suggestions for possible problems will be put forward.

Prevention of Sexual Violence at an Early Age: The Effectiveness of Educational Videos for Kindergarten Children

This study aims to determine the level of knowledge and effectiveness of the use of educational videos as an effort to prevent sexual violence in kindergarten group B children as many as 38 students. Acts of violence against children are a very serious problem and have consequences for victims and society. Every child has the right to enjoy a safe childhood and a life free from violence. Providing sexual education from an early age is important to encourage healthy child development both physically and mentally or psychologically. The approach in this study uses a quantitative method with a pre-experimental research design, namely one group pretest and posttest. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in knowledge and awareness of violence in children. Children have knowledge of sexual violence and are able to defend themselves when they are in situations that make them feel uncomfortable. The results are expected to provide insight into the effectiveness of educational videos in increasing children's knowledge and awareness of sexual violence, as well as emphasizing the importance of sexual education from an early age to prevent violence against children.

Causes of Aquaphobia in Swimming Beginners Aged 6 to 12 and Related Strategies in Swimming Instruction

The ages of 6 to 12 represent an ideal period for learning to swim; however, aquaphobia often poses a significant barrier to children's swimming education. This study employs field investigations, interviews, and observational methods to examine the causes of aquaphobia among swimming beginners aged 6 to 12 and to propose effective strategies for overcoming this issue. The research indicates that aquaphobia is influenced by a combination of psychological factors (such as mental resilience, understanding of swimming, poor body coordination, and competitive anxiety) and external environmental factors (including social and sports environment changes, alterations in breathing techniques, and inappropriate teaching methods by coaches). To mitigate aquaphobia, the study suggests two primary approaches: firstly, enhancing children's awareness of swimming safety, mastering proper breathing techniques, emphasizing comfort with water, establishing confidence in learning, and creating a positive learning environment; secondly, shifting learners' focus through imaginative visualization and gradual desensitization, ensuring a safe teaching environment, and progressively applying professional teaching methodologies. This research aims to provide strategies to address aquaphobia in young swimming novices, facilitating their mastery of swimming skills and promoting their physical development and the long-term advancement of swimming instruction.

Impaired Hypoglycemia Awareness in Children and Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes and its Association with Diabetic Autonomic Neuropathy

Abstract Background In general, hypoglycemia is more frequent among the young explaining the higher frequency of impaired awareness of hypoglycemia (IAH) among children andadolescents. Thus the aim of the current study was to assess the frequency of IAH among anEgyptian cohort of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes and identify the possible association between impaired awareness of hypoglycemia and autonomic neuropathy. Patients and Methods A crosssectional study recruiting 100 patients with type 1 diabetesfor at least 6 months duration and aged less than 18 years old recruited from the Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes Unit (PADU). Patients with other form of diabetes, cardiac disease,thyroid disease, anemia, other chronic disease, patients with intellectual disabilities or patients taking any medications were excluded from the study. The Gold and Clarke questionnaires were used to assess hypoglycemia awareness among the studied cohort.Cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) was assessed using 15 minutes Holterelectrocardiography (ECG). Results Among the studied cohort, 42% showed IAH using theClarke’s and Gold's Questionnaires. When assessing CAN, 46% of the studied cohort showedresting tachycardia and patients with resting tachycardia showed significantly longer diseaseduration.There were no normative heart rate variability parameters values for the Egyptian children that can be used as a reference for diagnosis of cardiac autonomic neuropathy. So weused sex and age matched control group to find specific cutoff values for heart rate variabilityparameters to diagnose CAN. The results showed that the prevalence of CAN among studiedpatients was 88% and there were no significant correlation between CAN and both questionnaires score. 55.7% of CAN patients were aware while 44.3% were unaware. Thus,there were no association between impaired awareness of hypoglycemia and CAN. Theresults showed that there was significant positive correlation between cardiac autonomicneuropathy (CAN) and diabetic duration more than 5 years. Conclusion Although there were no association between impaired awareness of hypoglycemia and cardiac autonomic neuropathy, it is important to screen for CAN in patients with IAH, especially that CAN isusually asymptomatic among children with type 1 diabetes.

An Examination of Early Childhood Teachers’ Views and Experiences on Assessment as Learning

In recent years, assessment as learning, which is one of the formative assessment types, has attracted attention with its focus on the role of the child in the connection between learning and assessment. Assessment as learning which includes children's awareness of their own learning processes, what they want to learn and how they learn, is a critical component for young children’s self-regulation and metacognition. This study examines preschool teachers' views and self-reported experiences regarding assessment as learning. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with ten preschool teachers, ensuring maximum diversity. The findings of this study were analyzed with the themes of feedback, questioning, self-assessment, and peer assessment. The results indicated that although teachers have various practices in the context of feedback and asking questions, they give a more limited place to self-assessment and peer assessment in their practices. Although there are differences in teachers' experiences, providing support for some critical highlights regarding their practices is important for the effectiveness of assessment.

Gender-Based Violence: Engaging Children in the Solution

The goal is to investigate how kids may act as change agents in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV). It looks at how well different interventions work to give kids the information, abilities, and self-assurance they need to talk about GBV. Key Topics: Theoretical frameworks (such as Social Cognitive Theory and Ecological Systems Theory) for comprehending children's behavior and learning within the setting of GBV. The efficacy of various treatments, such as curriculum modules, creative expression exercises, and bystander intervention training, in including children in GBV prevention. effects of treatments over time on kids' attitudes and actions about GBV. gaps in the body of knowledge regarding kids' contributions to GBV prevention. Principal Arguments/Results: With focused interventions, children can be invaluable allies in the fight against GBV. Good interventions can raise children's awareness, competence, and self-assurance in dealing with GBV. More research is required to determine how treatments affect kids' attitudes and actions over the long run. For change to be sustained, it is essential to address the underlying causes and contextual elements of GBV. Methodology/approach: The literature on children's involvement in GBV prevention is reviewed and analyzed in this review. It makes use of reports, academic articles, and other pertinent sources. Significance/Implications: This review highlights how critical it is to give kids the tools they need to prevent GBV. It provides knowledge to help academics, practitioners, and politicians create solutions that work and pave the way for a world without violence.

A Study on Research Course Design of Cuiyunlang Ancient Shudao Kindergarten Based on Ecological Civilization Education

With the deepening of ecological civilization construction, the role of ecological civilization education in kindergarten education is increasingly pivotal. As the cradle of children's growth, kindergarten is of far-reaching influence on cultivating children's environmental awareness and ecological responsibility through its education contents and methods. The purpose of this paper is to explore the integration of ecological civilization education and the research course of Cuiyunlang Ancient Shudao Kindergarten. Through literature analysis, field investigations, and questionnaire surveys, this paper has explored the educational value of the cultural resources of Cuiyunlang ancient Shudao, and has probed into the design and evaluation of the research courses in kindergartens in the view of enabling the kids to experience the beauty and fragility of nature firsthand, to understand the impact of human activities on the natural environment, so as tostimulate their sense of responsibility and mission in protecting the environment. This integration approach not only enhances kid’s learning interest and participation, but also promotes their sense of harmonious symbiosis with nature. The research results indicate that this integrated education is of great significance for cultivating a new generation of well-rounded individuals with ecological civilization literacy. Under such integrated education, children's interest and participation in ecological civilization education have increased, their environmental awareness and behavior. habits have been improved, and their creativity and problemsolving ability have been enhanced. Therefore, kindergartens should actively explore and practice this kind of integration method, combining local ecological environment and cultural characteristics to design rich and diverse research courses, and lay a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of young children. At the same time, parents and society should actively participate and support to jointly promote the in-depth development of ecological civilization education.

EDUKASI PENTINGNYA MENABUNG USIA DINI BAGI SISWA SD NEGERI 1 RUMAHTIGA, AMBON

Community Service is an obligation that must be fulfilled by university personnel, including lecturers and students. In Batch L KKN Period II for the 2023/2024 Academic Year, we carried out community service to students at SD Negeri 1 Rumahtiga - Ambon about the importance of saving at an early age. It is hoped that this education can motivate children to instill understanding and knowledge about the importance of saving at an early age to determine the future. Developing the habit of saving is a character that needs to be developed in early childhood. The concrete nature of child development is very effective in instilling a culture where saving determines the future. Students come to know and understand the benefits of saving for themselves. Apart from that, to develop and strengthen children's awareness of saving, parents need to be role models, and introduce the value of money, and how to set aside pocket money for savings.

Emotional Invalidation and Relationship Quality: A Mediational Model Through a Social Learning Lens.

While we know childhood experiences are influential on a child's later socioemotional awareness and behavior, we are still searching for specific mechanisms that influence the transferability of childhood experiences and adult relationship functioning. In this study, we seek to further this area of investigation by examining the interpretation of ambiguous social interactions and perceptions of emotional invalidation as potential mediators of the relationship between perceptions of childhood emotional invalidation and current relationship quality. Participants completed online measures of hostile intent attributions, perceptions of childhood emotional invalidation, and current relationship quality with a significant other. They read emotionally provocative interpersonal scenarios and then reported likely emotionally invalidating reactions from their significant other to measure current perceptions of emotional invalidation. Results supported our hypotheses that perceptions of current emotional invalidation in a close, personal relationship would mediate the relationship between perceptions of childhood maternal emotional invalidation and both current relationship support and relationship conflict. Furthermore, the strength of this mediational pathway outweighed the influence of a more general hostile attribution bias. These findings have implications for prevention and intervention strategies designed to enhance interpersonal functioning.

“Let's keep calm and breathe”—A mindfulness meditation program in school and its effects on children's behavior and emotional awareness: An Australian pilot study

AbstractThis study aimed to understand how mindfulness meditation affects young people by examining its impact on self‐regulation, happiness, emotional awareness, and school performance among two groups of school children. A 10‐week mindfulness program was conducted by a meditation expert for 552 children aged 4–8 (Group 1) and 287 children aged 9–11 (Group 2). Results for the 4–8 years group (Group 1) showed meditation predicted an increase in happiness (R2 = .003, p < .001) and self‐reported school performance (R2 = .005, p < .001) and a decrease in emotional (R2 = .017, p < .001) and behavioral difficulties (R2 = .009, p < .001); however, the effect sizes were small. In the 9–11 years group (Group 2), meditation predicted an increase in emotional awareness (R2 = .02, p < .001), and a decrease in emotional (R2 = .014, p < .001) and behavioral difficulties (R2 = .009, p < .001) as measured by scores from baseline to postintervention. For Group 2, there was no significant change in happiness over the 10 weeks. The findings support incorporating mindfulness meditation in schools, noting significant enhancements in self‐regulation with just 5 min of daily practice.
