Abstract

The "Granito de Arena" project aims to increase environmental awareness among children in Huanchaco, Peru. It focuses on providing children with tools and knowledge to contribute to environmental protection from an early age. The methodology used involves data collection before and after program implementation, aiming to assess its impact on children's environmental awareness. A combination of surveys and interviews was used to gather information on participants' prior knowledge and subsequent changes in environmental perception. The results show significant improvements in children's knowledge and environmental awareness, as well as in the internalization of sustainable practices. In conclusion, the study highlights the effectiveness of educational interventions in instilling environmental values from an early age and emphasizes the importance of continuing to strengthen these efforts to achieve lasting impact on environmental protection.
