Usability Analysis of Trello Using the System Usability Scale (SUS) at the UIN Jakarta Career Development Center

The UIN Jakarta Career Development Center is a dedicated unit focused on fostering the personal and professional growth of both current students and alumni of UIN Jakarta. Supported by student interns from diverse educational backgrounds and academic programs, the center operates daily to provide comprehensive services. These interns bring varied educational backgrounds and experiences, influencing their readiness to implement software for collaborative and coordinating purposes, replacing the previous system (Trello) at the UIN Jakarta Career Development Center. This study aims to evaluate Trello's effectiveness at the UIN Jakarta Career Development Center, intending to enhance the interns' performance and improve service delivery to uphold UIN Jakarta's reputation. The research methodology employs the System Usability Scale (SUS), with validity and reliability testing conducted using Cronbach's Alpha. Findings indicate that Trello's usability at the UIN Jakarta Career Development Center yields an average total score of 59.625 on the grade scale, categorizing usability as D with an adjective rating of OK and marginally acceptable. However, 37.5% respondents express skepticism regarding others' ability to quickly grasp Trello's use, while 55.5% state a need to acclimate themselves to Trello's usage. These insights underscore the importance of refining Trello's implementation to better support the center's operations and ensure a seamless user experience for interns and staff alike.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTER INFORMATION SERVICES AND STUDENTS' CAREER PLANNING SKILLS AT UIN RADEN FATAH PALEMBANG

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between career development center information services and students' career planning skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The population amounted to 141 students. From the sampling technique used using Slovin, there was a sample of 59 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation, with a total of 25 question items from each instrument. After testing the validity with the results of rcount greater than rtable, the data is declared valid. The data analysis technique used uses the product-moment correlation test. The results of this study indicate that from the results of the product-moment correlation data test, there is a relationship between career development center information services and career planning skills in the moderate category. The determination of the relationship is taken based on the interpretation of the correlation coefficient which is in the interval between 0.40 - 0.599. Based on data hypothesis testing in the research that has been done, there is no relationship between career development center services and students' career planning skills, there is a value of 0.528 which means that the relationship has a moderate relationship. However, in terms of the strength of the relationship between Career Development Center information services and student career planning, the strength of the relationship is quite strong. This means that this career planning ability is not too strongly related to the career development center information service or in other words, the career planning ability has a relationship but little.

Customer Feedback Management Across Support Service Units in the University of the Cordilleras

Feedback from customers are essential inputs for an organization’s improvement specially when managed effectively, may it be in industries, businesses, or educational institutions. This study aimed to describe the procedure on managing customer feedback implemented by the various support service units in the University of the Cordilleras. The researcher utilized a qualitative research design. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview conducted online with twenty (20) office personnel selected through purposive sampling. They were from the Student Welfare Services, Libraries, Career Development Center, Guidance and Counseling Office, Medical Clinic, Registrar’s Office, Student Development and Welfare Office, Occupational Safety and Health, Center for Social Responsibility, Marketing Communications and Enrollment Services; and Accounting Office. The inductive thematic approach was used to analyze data which highlighted interesting themes identifying three (3) primary processes in managing customer feedback – 1) gathering feedback, 2) documentation and 3) addressing feedback. Feedback sources may include surveys, evaluations, and interviews via traditional or online methods. Documentation entails collating and classifying feedback, which then leads to the identification of actionable items. The research findings suggest that customer feedback management extends beyond mere data collection and documentation; instead, it requires actions, actual measures and continuous improvement efforts that are monitored and sustainable.

Analisis Perancangan Sistem Informasi CDC Berbasis Web untuk Meningkatkan Informasi Lowongan Pekerjaan Bagi Lulusan Politeknik Piksi Ganesha Bandung

The Career Development Center (CDC) is a forum for providing preparation for entering the world of work for alumni and students who will graduate from the Piksi Ganesha Bandung Polytechnic. CDC is a strategic center that serves as a bridge between the worlds of education and industry, helping individuals design and implement successful career plans. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. Research on the creation of the CDC (Career Development Center) can be accessed by alumni, students of the Piksi Ganesha Bandung Polytechnic and the general public who are looking for job vacancies or career paths on the website. Conclusion: The Piksi Ganesha Bandung Career Development Center website provides support and convenience for students and alumni in looking for work, news, and how to find work according to their respective expertise in their respective fields as well as to help individuals develop the skills, knowledge and resources needed to achieve career goals. The author suggests that this application can be developed by collaborating with labor providers and establishing cooperation based on the principle of benefit for each party.

Analisis Website Pusat Pengembangan Karir Berdasarkan Pengalaman Pengguna: Pendekatan User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ)

Pembangunan National “Veteran” University of East Java has developed the Career Development Center website as a job vacancy information center to prepare graduates who are tough, innovative, and creative in the world of work. The Career Development Center website makes it easier to search for and find job opportunities that suit the field of study, skills, and interests of college graduates. A positive user experience in using the Career Development Center website can increase satisfaction and optimize career searches, so it is important to carry out measurements systematically and objectively. This study aims to measure the level of experience of users of the Career Development Center website using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). UEQ measurements on the Career Development Center website focus on gaining an understanding of the Attractiveness, Pragmatic quality, and Hedonic quality aspects. UEQ provides measurements of technical and non-technical aspects related to the user's emotion or perception of pleasure. The results of measuring user experience on the Career Development Center website can help identify trends and changes in user needs so that they can adapt and develop relevant and innovative features. This study uses quantitative data by distributing 26 items of the UEQ questionnaire online to 350 alumni. The research results stated that the attractiveness aspect had the highest average value of 1.94. These results prove that the Career Development Center website has a high attractiveness value for users, thereby increasing the opportunity for continuous use. Apart from that, based on the high average stimulation value of 1.930, it can be proven that graduates who use the Career Development Center website get large benefits related to alumni career development.

 Methods The purposes of this study were to explore the tile, Programe related to be carried on by Carer Development Center of University in Korea. it was surveyed by homepage of career development center and analysis data to chi-square test by SPSS.
 Results First, the category of tile of CDC in Korea is variety. So University have police to make integrating title from old title. Second, Human Resource of CDC have been focused to general administrative job in university administration. Third, the program of CDC have managed to off-line program and old job recruitment.
 Conclusions First, The title of CDC is changed to be a name of integral operating system Second, university invest manpower of CDC in specialist. Third, the CDC of university develop the new program reflected new industry of labor.

INTERNALIZATION OF RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL VALUES AS CAREER GUIDANCE CONTENT FOR URBAN AND RURAL MUSLIM STUDENTS’

The career development tasks of urban and rural Muslim students tend to experience obstacles, especially when they are in the final semester of college. This situation and condition needs to be addressed responsively by educators and managers of career development centers in every Islamic university in particular. Various approaches have been taken in an effort to facilitate student career development, but the limited content of career guidance has not maximized religious and cultural values systematically and comprehensively. The purpose of this study is to describe the career guidance model and examine cultural values and religion in several PTKI in the Sumatra region. The method in this research uses a qualitative approach and is analyzed using descriptive methods and content analysis. The process of collecting data through interviews and analyzing data triangulation by comparing some field findings to expert informants. The results of this study found several religious and cultural values that can be used as content or discussion themes in the career guidance process. The results of this study found that religious values related to career or one's success are listed in QS Al-Ahzab: 70, At-Taubah: 105, An-Nahl: 78, HR. Ahmad Ibnu Abid Dunya, Ath-Thabrani, & Al-Baihaqi, HR Tirmidzi and Al- Hakim. Some cultural values that can be the content of career guidance are related to the values of honesty, enthusiasm for learning, hard work, adaptation, and understanding of human weaknesses and strengths.

Students’ Perspectives on Entrepreneurship and Its Intention in India

The present study was carried out with the objective of understanding the stated interest of agricultural students in entrepreneurship and to provide an accurate research report for decision-makers, for developing entrepreneurship in India. In the present investigation, a two-stage sampling procedure was employed. In the first stage, cluster sampling was used to select the state agricultural universities (SAUs) in India. In the second stage, simple random sampling was performed to select student respondents from each SAU. Data were collected from 1797 agricultural students (second stage units) from 17 SAUs out of 74 (first stage units) studying a bachelor’s/master’s degree program and analyzed to infer outcomes related to entrepreneurship. Variables such as basic information, job interest, motivational factors, hurdles to becoming an entrepreneur, awareness about government schemes, and essential hard and soft skills were measured. Data were analyzed using frequencies, chi-square test (X2), rank-based quotient (RBQ), and binary logistic regression (BLR) analyses. The survey results revealed that “entrepreneurship” was given a lower preference by the majority; as a result, there was less motivation for students from family members. However, about 78% of students showed interest in becoming an entrepreneur. Significant areas of entrepreneurial interest for the observed students included, in order are digital agriculture < input production < marketing < farming < advisory services < dairying < financial services < poultry < developing eLearning material for farmers < and other jobs. This study demonstrates the need for Career Development Centers (CDCs), government support, and awareness and incentives regarding entrepreneurship through effective policy interventions, to protect entrepreneurs from the potential risk of business losses. This research outcome substantially contributes to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-4, quality education), through the soft skill development of the students, resulting in innovative agri-entrepreneurs. The present research suggested some policy implications to promote entrepreneurship more widely, which may also help other developing countries to frame potential regulations for agricultural education and entrepreneurial activities.

An Evaluation of the Career Development Center Website from User Experience Perspectives

With the launch of the career development center (CDC) website in the digital era, XYZ university in Indonesia takes the initiative to serve as a liaison between students and companies in need of new talent. The website is intended to distribute job market and career development information to students and graduates. However, no evaluation directly involving students and graduates was conducted during the development process. As a result, this study aims to assess the level of user experience to comprehend users' perceptions of the current CDC website. The User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) is used in this study to assess students' and alumni's perceptions as one entity. In addition, semi-structured interviews are conducted to better understand users' pain points. From the measurement with UEQ, the website's attractiveness got a positive impression from users with 0,99 points. The pragmatic quality aspect also makes a positive impression. This aspect consists of three variables: perspicuity (1,21 points), efficiency (0,83 points), and dependability (1,12 points). In contrast, the stimulation (0,74 points) and novelty (-0,37 points) variables on the hedonic quality aspect leave the user with a neutral impression. Based on interviews, users believe that the job vacancy information available on the CDC website still needs to be improved in quantity and variety. Users also need help finding the novelty aspect in terms of website appearance. This study successfully incorporated UEQ into the evaluation stage of a university's career development center website, which had never been done in previous research.

Pengembangan Sistem Career Development Center

Alumnuses have a role in the college progress. one of the roles of alumnuses is that alumnuses provide input to college for mapping job market. Alumnuses inputs are obtained by college through tracer study at college career center. The Career Development Center (CDC) of the Cilacap State Polytechnic (PNC) conducts a tracer study process by sending a form link via short message to the group of alumnuses. The problem with this method is that the tracer study form can be filled out by everyone who has the link. On the other hand, the officer must re-enter the same list of questions for alumnuses in different years. This study aims to create a Career Development Center application that can help PNCs to monitor the distribution of alumnuses and help CDC disseminate job vacancy information. The method used in software development uses the waterfall method. At the software testing stage, the method used is blackbox testing. Based on the results of customer feedback, 30 respondents produced a very good predicate. The conclusion of this study, the development of the Career Development Center application can help spread alumni and help CDC disseminate job vacancies information to alumni.

Application of the Relief-f Algorithm for Feature Selection in the Prediction of the Relevance Education Background with the Graduate Employment of the Universitas Sriwijaya

Career Development Center (CDC) at Universitas Sriwijaya provided a tracer study dataset for graduates. The data contained feature questions about the relevance of background education and graduate employment, namely about lectures, research projects experience, internships experience, English skill, internet knowledge, computer skill and others. the data was filled in by graduates in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Applying the Relief-f algorithm was to select the pattern features that most influence the relevance of education background and graduate employment. This study used Naive Bayes and KNN methods to measure the success rate of the Relief-f algorithm. The results of the accuracy of the data before the feature selection process for the naïve Bayes method were 73.43% and the KNN method was 66.24%, after the feature selection process the accuracy obtained in both methods increased to 74.38% for the Naive Bayes method and 72.22% for the KNN method. The best pattern features selected were 8 features: department relationship with work, the competence of education background, English skill, research projects experience, extracurricular activities, the competence of education background, internships experience, and communication skills. Based on the accuracy obtained, it was concluded that the Relief-f algorithm worked well in the feature selection and improved the accuracy.

Undergraduate Student Career Development and Career Center Services: Faculty Perspectives

Despite the rise in scope and role of campus career centers and the role of faculty in career advising, faculty perspectives on undergraduate careers have received minimal scholarly attention. We conducted a qualitative study bounded in a medium‐sized R1 institution (i.e., a doctoral university with very high research activity in the Carnegie Classification of Institutions) in the Northeast to examine faculty perspectives on undergraduate career development and undergraduate career services. Eight faculty members participated in semistructured focus groups allowing for in‐depth conversations and analysis. Using thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006), we identified five principal themes: (a) positive impressions of the career center, (b) barriers to faculty engagement, (c) collective responsibility for students' career development, (d) nonlinear career paths, and (e) student perceptions. Results indicate career centers should engage faculty as a constituent group, describe to faculty how centers help students address broad career questions, and tailor resources for faculty. Future research with larger, more diverse, and multi‐institutional samples of faculty could expand knowledge in this area toward improved synergy between faculty and career centers in promoting student career development.

Analysis and Application Design Career Development Center in The STMIK Insan Pembangunan (Case Study: Information Study Program)

In order to facility data of ex-graduate maintaining and career information distribution to all of member of STMIK Insan Pembangunan especially Information System, information system is made to handle that. It is an application that named Career Development Center. In processing that aplication, the writer do examination by interview, observation and from books or literatures and then continue to model it with UML diagrams. Along with this system, it is hoped that recapitulaton of ex-graduate and career information spreading about job vacancy, tips and training/workshop can help user to maintain it.

A way of developing collaboration between universities and businesses in a time of COVID-19

Purpose Central to problems affecting effective university–business collaboration (UBC) is the lack of intensive communication in addition to some administrative issues. This paper aims to resolve this issue by use of a uniquely designed “UBC system.” It suggests establishing a unified business analytics portal as one of the most convenient ways of facilitating UBC. This research paper describes the development and functioning of the “UBC system,” which is capable of supporting universities and businesses in terms of the COVID-19 crisis and in enabling the implementation of innovations in their activities. Design/methodology/approach Several dozen organizations and students and graduates of different universities were selected to test the “UBC system.” This research was conducted in several phases. The “UBC system” was developed on the basis of Microsoft 365, which is a solution made on a single platform with the integrated operation of several applications (SharePoint [Easy-Quiz and Survey], Outlook, Teams, Power Automate and Power BI). The system collects, processes and compares the data; schedules online interviews; conducts intelligence quotient testing and surveys; and its business analytic reports and dashboards are shared on the internet and are accessible from any location and from any device. Findings The results of the given study suggest that establishing reliable and convenient online coordination through the “UBC system” can provide help in enabling efficient collaboration between universities and businesses – something that has gained special importance in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper provides a number of conclusions and recommendations to improve online cooperation between universities and businesses. Practical implications The system can be administered by state entities (such as the Ministry of Education) and by career development centers within universities. The use of these kinds of systems can become a permanent part of effective UBC. The “UBC system” will not only help overcome employment problems in times of crisis but also make it easier to analyze the real situation and to introduce and develop innovative trends by both businesses and universities through mutual cooperation in an automated mode. Originality/value The proposed “UBC system” platform was developed by the authors.

DEVELOPING A BUSINESS INCUBATOR MODEL IN HIGHER EDUCATION: THE CASE OF FACULTY OF ECONOMICS UNIVERSITAS NEGERI JAKARTA

Purpose of the study: This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation model of technology-based entrepreneurship education in Higher Education with business incubators.
 Methodology: This qualitative research was conducted at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Jakarta as an entrepreneurial-based University Studied documents and obtain data about the implementation of the Business Incubator in entrepreneurship education in Higher Education. The data collection method used were surveys and interviews, reviewing data and documents on the development of business incubators, as well as following the Development of lecturers’ shared perceptions in teaching and developing entrepreneurship through lesson plan development meetings, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD).
 Main Findings: The University establishes a policy of developing digital entrepreneurship with performance indicators that are the target of shared performance, it requires business incubator facilities, financing, cooperation program assistance, expert facilitators, as well as providing opportunities for start-up businesses to develop. The curriculum is developed and evaluated with the mastery of digital technology mastery, big data. The Career Development Center functions as a support facility and development cooperation with sponsors.  Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to the existing literature related to the development of technology-based entrepreneurship learning in tertiary institutions. Start-up student’s business is growing rapidly, designing online-based businesses while in college. This research found the role of universities in entrepreneurship education policies, faculties, and study programs in developing student’s competencies and learning services, as well as providing broad services to students in entrepreneurial practice through business incubators.

ACTOR Trainees Experience Diverse Undergraduate Learning Environments

Exposure to undergraduate classrooms is limited at health science institutions. ACTOR (Acquiring Competencies in Teaching through Observation & Reflection) was developed by the Career Development Center at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) to improve the teaching skills and qualifications of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the biomedical sciences. BCM established partnerships with the University of St. Thomas, a minority serving primarily undergraduate institution, and with Rice University, an R1 institution, to provide trainees with insights into higher education pedagogy and teaching careers. Four graduate students and four postdoctoral fellows from BCM were selected to participate in the program pilot, which included a classroom observation followed by a reflection activity, workshops and discussions with faculty, monthly journal clubs in teaching and science education, and development of a teaching statement. A graduate student and a postdoctoral fellow were paired for the classroom experiences and journal club presentations. Trainees were immersed in both upper and lower division courses; some of the courses were more research focused while others were more lecture based. Trainees were surveyed to assess their experiences and evaluate program design. Feedback from this initial cohort was highly positive, with most agreeing that their expectations were filled and reporting exposure to new pedagogical approaches, deepened existing knowledge of pedagogical approaches, confidence in their ability to apply new knowledge to their own teaching, and enhanced teaching strategies. The pairing approach between graduate students and postdoctoral fellows created connections and promoted sharing of knowledge. Based on trainee suggestions, the second offering of the ACTOR program incorporated several improvements: 1) The program started at the beginning of the semester, not midway through as with the pilot; this expanded timeframe allowed a second observation in each class. 2) Each pair visited three different classes during the semester. 3) Prior to each observation, collaborating faculty shared their learning objectives and/or teaching approach with the trainees. 4) The reflection sheets were optional and served as a guide for the observations. 5) In addition to all the activities in the pilot, trainees developed and demonstrated a 10–15 minute teaching activity that incorporated a “new” pedagogical approach. We will analyze surveys and feedback from the second cohort to shape future program offerings. In conclusion, the trainees, students, and faculty all benefit from these experiences. Students can ask the trainees questions about their decision to pursue graduate study and about their research projects. Faculty can share effective teaching strategies with the trainees and give career guidance. The added value that ACTOR trainees bring to the undergraduate classroom will sustain these new partnerships between BCM and the University of St. Thomas and Rice University. ACTOR Program followed Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines for BCM; course protocols were approved by the Rice University IRB (Protocol FY2017‐294).

This conceptual paper is to study the departmental improvement that needs to be implemented at Malaysian Schools Counselling Center by integrating Human Resources Management Practices. The study reviews literature on the Historical Background of Malaysian School Counselling Center and human resource management practices. The paper goes on to analyse factors and perceptions that is needed for revamping a systematic Counselling and Career Development Center in schools. Furthermore, its operational needs relevant human resource management approach which will contribute towards building the future human capital via the school systems. As human capital is the backbone of any country, it has become essential for any nation to produce the right human capital to ensure the workforce of the country is able to develop well balance country from political, economic and socially. However, there is rising challenges for the education sector to produce and feed the talents and various initiatives have been addressed in the Malaysian Education Blueprint 2013- 2025(MEB) by the Ministry of Education Malaysia. Hence, pilot study will be carried out at two governments secondary school in Malaysia located in an urban and a sub urban platform and to contribute at end of the research towards improvement in schools counselling center by using Human Resource Management approach. It is also aim that can support future studies can be carried out based on the practical implementation.

West Hollywood Library—More than just another pretty space

The West Hollywood Library is a 35 000 sqft branch of the County of Los Angeles Library, with construction funded by the City and operated by the County. It serves as a cultural and artistic community center, and includes a children’s library, teen center, career development center, special collections, café, bookstore, two parking garages, community meeting room, and multipurpose public meeting room (for council and commission meetings, performances, and other uses). An ornamental wood ceiling, the wood stage in the multipurpose meeting room, the children’s reading room, and the overall aesthetic presented interesting challenges for acoustics. Visual aesthetic and acoustic performance aspects will be discussed, along with references to various other library projects.
