Green Strategy – Halal Branding Management as a Solution to Increase the Economic Growth of MSMES

This service was carried out at CV Brawijaya Dairy Industry (BRADY). BRADY is one of the MSMEs in Malang Regency which operates in the milk processing sector; The products produced are mozzarella cheese and fermented milk products (yogurt). The business has been running well, and the product quality is in accordance with consumer desires. However, currently companies still require a Business Identification Number. Business Identification Number (NIB) is an identification mark for business actors, both individual and non-individual businesses, as well as commercial or operational permits. NIB can be obtained through the Online Single Submission System (OSS). Additionally, Brady also needs to obtain halal certification; one of the obstacles is that Brady requires an NIB. Halal certification is very important for developing a business because product marketing is hampered because companies must have halal certification, so many potential consumers or distributors do not want to accept Brady products because they are not halal certified. By having business legality, apart from being better known to the public, the Company also gets business certainty and protection. Other benefits are easier access to business assistance from the government, easier access to business capital, and the opportunity to obtain empowerment assistance from the government.

Entrepreneurial Endeavors: Examining The Role Of Catering Businesses In Pasuruan's Economic Empowerment

This study explores the challenges faced by Muslim women in establishing catering businesses, primarily due to inadequate marketing strategies. To overcome these obstacles, the research proposes catering business assistance with a focus on utilizing the internet as a platform for product promotion. Incorporating the Marketing 4.0 concept, the study emphasizes the complementary nature of digital-based and traditional marketing to meet consumer demands. The evolution from the AIDA concept to the 4A and 5A models is examined, highlighting attention, attitude, action, and advocacy as essential elements in consumer engagement. The effectiveness of e-commerce is underscored by offering benefits for MSMEs, such as accessing buyers from different regions, cost efficiency, and improved communication. Online media, including platforms like WhatsApp, social media, and email marketing, is discussed for its positive impact on information processing, purchasing decisions, and expanding market networks. The study also emphasizes the need to combine online and offline strategies to enhance digital technology adoption, maintain a personal touch for consumer relationships, and widen business reach. This research emphasizes the importance of digital technology for MSMEs to thrive in the catering industry.

Analysis the Application of the Weighted Product Method in Decision Support Systems for Assistance Programmes for MSMEs

Productive Micro Business Assistance (BPUM) is a government policy. This assistance has been carried out since the Covid-19 Pandemic in Indonesia. The Mojokerto city government conducts a selection of MSMEs which is expected to avoid errors in determining MSME assistance. Therefore, a decision support system is needed that is developed using the Weighted Product method to make it easier and faster to determine MSMEs that are eligible to receive assistance. The stages of system development start from problem analysis, data collection, analysis of method application, and system development. Based on the calculation of the resulting S vector, the largest value is 0.10568 and the smallest value is 0.05886 from 9382 MSME data. The last calculation is the V vector value which produces recommendations in the form of data ranking that can be used by the Mojokerto City Diskopukmperindag to determine which MSMEs are entitled to receive assistance. The results of the selected alternatives are in accordance with the ranking with the largest value of 0.10568 and the smallest value of 0.05886. Providing recommendations by the decision support system to policy makers can be based on the largest relative preference value owned by MSMEs.

Pendampingan Digital Marketing Produk UMKM Desa Manggihan Kabupaten Semarang

Located in Getasan subdistrict, Semarang district, Manggihan village has 506 families. Most of the population works as farmers, cattle breeders and entrepreneurs. The problem faced is that micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) cannot market their products widely. The superior products are mushroom chips, onion crackers and processed catfish. Marketing of these products experienced a decline in turnover during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The solution to this problem is to provide MSME partners who are affected by the pandemic through digital marketing assistance. Empowerment through this assistance involves various elements: academics (Lecturers, Unisbank Semarang Students), government (Semarang Village and Regency Government), business (farmers, MSMEs, digital marketing providers). The method used to solve this problem uses business assistance through digital marketing training with social media, creating market place accounts, logo branding and etiquette. The output target that partner MSMEs want to achieve is helping increase turnover through post-pandemic digital marketing and strengthening product branding and expanding markets

Dampak Bantuan Usaha Islamic Relief Bagi UMKM Masyarakat Huntap Duyu

The purpose of this research is to find out the impact of the Islamic Relief business assistance program for MSMEs in the Duyu community. Islamic Relief business assistance program for MSMEs specifically for the Duyu Huntap Community affected by the disaster. The research approach is qualitative research through the CIPP model evaluation method (context, input, process, product). Data was collected by conducting observations and based on program data search results starting from the beginning of the Islamic Relief Thematic KKN on September 11, 2023 to January 5, 2024. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that each aspect of CIPP has been implemented according to the procedure. The business assistance program for MSMEs in Duyu shelter is a form of post-disaster economic defense. This means that the development of the Islamic Relief business assistance program for MSMEs in the Duyu Huntap Community has been successful and has an impact on business actors in maintaining and starting a business. The context aspect shows that all forms of preparation in providing this program are carried out carefully so that they can have an impact on the success of the business assistance program for MSMEs in Duyu. The input aspect is designed according to the correct official legal umbrella. The process aspect is carried out starting from socialization activities to the distribution of business assistance for MSMEs to the Duyu Huntap community procedurally to have an impact on success targeting business actors who need business capital assistance. In the product aspect, it is known that the business assistance program for MSMEs has a good impact on the economic recovery of business actors in Huntap Duyu.

Exploration of Success Factors for MSME Business Assistance (Study of Yogyakarta MSMEs Participating in the ISDP Program by BSI)

This research aims to explore the factors that support the success of the 2022 ISDP MSME mentoring program, as well as efforts by the management of the 2022 ISDP MSME mentoring program to maintain the performance of MSMEs during and after the mentoring ends. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research to explore the factors that influencethe success of mentoring MSMEs. Data was obtained using interviews, observation, and documentation methods. Data analysis was carried out in four stages: relevance analysis, content analysis, correlation analysis, and triangulation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling and snowballing methods. Informants consisted of ISDP program managers and MSME mentoring participants. The research results show that the factors supporting the success of the “ISDP” MSME mentoring program consist of 4 factors: mentoring material that suits the needs of MSMEs, availability of mentoring funds or capital, routine monthly business assistance, and sustainability of MSME businesses. Apart from that, it was also found that efforts were made by the ISDP program to maintain the performance of MSMEs, namely by carrying out time management, building ukhuwah, and mapping participants.

Neutral Business Assistance and the Limits of Complicity Under International Criminal Law

Business transactions between corporations and actors involved in grave human rights violations present significant challenges for the assessment of corporate criminal liability. This is particularly evident in cases of “neutral business assistance,” which refer to business conduct that appears legitimate on the surface and falls within day-to-day business operations but nonetheless contributes to the crime. An example of neutral business assistance is selling generic goods (for example, computer technology) legally at market rates, without the explicit intent to aid criminal activity, that increases the perpetrator’s capacity to carry out human rights violations. In such cases, discerning the point at which a legitimate business transaction becomes a wrongful act of complicity remains a complex and unresolved issue in international criminal law. The doctrinal requirement for the wrongful act of complicity is that the assistance provided must have a “substantial effect” on the commission of the crime. Traditionally, this assessment has been grounded in a narrow factual analysis that primarily emphasizes the gravity of harm resulting from aiding and abetting. This one-dimensional approach to wrongfulness, however, oversimplifies the ethical complexities of criminal liability. It overlooks broader normative considerations and the positive societal impact of human cooperation. This article challenges the prevailing harm-based paradigm and introduces a more nuanced methodology to assess the wrongfulness of aiding and abetting across various contexts. To do so, the article embraces a broader perspective on the “substantial effect” criterion, one that takes into account the crucial normative dimension of balancing the harmful effects of aiding and abetting with their corresponding social benefits. As a result, the article outlines a refined theory of the actus reus of complicity that enables a more holistic evaluation of accomplices’ conduct.

The Economic Downturn in general has an impact on vulnerable communities. One of those affected by the pandemic storm is the disabled in Jepara Regency. PPDI (Indonesian Association of Persons with Disabilities) Jepara Regency is one of eleven disabled communities in Jepara that focuses on the microeconomic sector. The method used in this service is the ABCD (Asset Bassed Community Development) method. The purpose of this service is to provide assistance and training in HR management, business management and entrepreneurship training, independent business assistance and assist government and private banks in accessing capital and modifying the tools needed to support their business, providing assistance and training on online sales promotion and marketing management both direct and online sales. The results of this service are that partners can carry out their business by applying management knowledge, partners with disabilities have confidence in carrying out their business and partners can carry out their business by promoting their business through online and offline mechanisms and there is the opportunity to partner with a private bank, namely BMT Arta Abadi Jepara and get access to productive monitoring from Baznas Jepara Regency

Business Assistance in Analyzing the Causes of the Decline in Sales and the Solution using the Fishbone Diagram

Abstract. This Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (Community Partnership Program, PKM) aims to provide one of the micro-business management solutions. “Sak Anane” is a micro-business engaged in the food stalls sector. Assistance in PKM is carried out to find the root cause of the decline in sales and give solutions idea. Sak Anane food stall management has not been ideal regarding operations management, particularly in the production process and quality, which is the problem. The business opening hours frequently experience delays. This delay demonstrates that business owners cannot provide on-time delivery services to their customers. Customers are dissatisfied with late delivery services, which lowers sales. This program’s contribution is to offer managerial support to directly improve micro-entrepreneurs and society, particularly in the economic sphere.

Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Pembentukan Factory Sharing Produk Olahan Susu Desa Tenjolaya

Community empowerment is one approach in development studies with the aim of involving the community in development activities and maximizing the resources owned to achieve the welfare of the local community. One of the potential things that can be developed by a village is the agricultural and livestock sector. Tenjolaya Village is one of the villages in Bandung Regency that excels in the agricultural and livestock sector, one of the leading products of Tenjolaya Village is fresh cow's milk. There are problems that occur in Tenjolaya Village in the management of dairy products, including the lack of knowledge, capacity and facilities of residents in producing and marketing cow's milk products. One of the efforts to optimize livestock results in the form of cow's milk is to take an empowerment approach for the community. The team of lecturers and students of STIA LAN Polytechnic Bandung through the Business Incubator (Bicube) of STIA LAN Polytechnic Bandung conducted business assistance in an effort to empower the people of Tenjolaya Village through the establishment of factory sharing. The result of Tenjolaya Village community empowerment activities is the establishment of factory sharing and the development of fresh cow's milk products which were originally only cow's milk, now developed into several products, namely milk candy, nougat and milk sticks.

Sustainable Development Goals: Strategy for Increasing Human Resources Towards the Independence of MSMEs

Objective - This research was conducted to design a strategy model for increasing human resources towards the independence of MSMEs in Palangka Raya City in realizing Sustainable Development Goals. Design/Methodology/Approach - The method that will be used in this research is the soft system methodology (SSM). This method is almost the same as other systems approaches, where the essence of SSM is to provide a comparison between the real situation in the implementation of MSMEs and a model designed to represent the world itself. Research findings - based analysis, it is known that relevant human resource development in improving the development of MSMEs in Palangka Raya City includes business protection, business policies, business operational systems, business administration, ability to innovate, ability to identify opportunities, which can be done with openness and participatory and able to look for opportunities to anticipate change. Implications –The government needs to support the provision of infrastructure and learning instruments in the form of instructions and regulations, and the involvement of industry and the private sector needs to be encouraged to contribute through the provision of capital and business assistance.

Peran Lembaga Keuangan Syariah Dalam Mengembangkan Bisnis Mikro dan Kecil di Indonesia

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic microfinance institutions in developing micro and small businesses in Indonesia through the distribution of funds based on sharia principles. The method used is a literature review to identify how Islamic financing schemes, such as mudharabah and musyarakah, contribute to increasing access to capital for small business actors. The results of the study show that Islamic microfinance institutions provide more inclusive and fair financing and business assistance and management of social funds such as zakat, infaq, and sedekah. This supports the growth of micro and small businesses and improves the community's economic welfare. However, several challenges remain, such as low Islamic financial literacy and limited capital. Therefore, this study recommends the need for innovation in Islamic financial technology and increased public education to expand the reach and effectiveness of Islamic financial services for micro and small businesses.

Bioaccumulation Pattern of Heavy Metals in Solanumlycopersicum Co-Inoculated with Red Worm Eiseniafetida

Kitchen Pertaharjo is one of the community developments under the guidance of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga DPPU Ahmad Yani CSR which has a business incubator facility. In its implementation, the business incubator is considered to be still less than optimal and there are several obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate in order to formulate a new strategy for the development of the Pertaharjo Kitchen as part of Ahmad Yani's Pertamina DPPU CSR. In this study, the authors evaluate the Pertaharjo Kitchen business assistance using the Compass Sustainability analysis method. The author uses a mix method to analyze and describe the implementation of Dapur Pertaharjo for Compass Sustainability in 4 aspects, namely nature, economy, society, and well-being which can be taken into consideration for further development steps

PENGARUH BANTUAN SOSIAL USAHA EKONOMI PRODUKTIF DAN KELOMPOK USAHA BERSAMA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT DI KABUPATEN SUMBAWA BARAT

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the Productive Economic Enterprises (UEP) and Joint Business Groups (KUBE) programs in improving the social welfare of people with welfare problems in West Sumbawa Regency and to analyze the level of effectiveness of the Joint Business Groups program in improving the social welfare of people with welfare problems in West Sumbawa Regency. This research uses mixed methods (combined methods) qualitative methods to determine the implementation of the Productive Economic Enterprises and Joint Business Groups programs in improving the social welfare of people with welfare problems in West Sumbawa Regency and quantitative methods to analyze the effectiveness of the Productive Economic Enterprises Joint Business Groups program in improving community welfare in West Sumbawa Regency. The results of the research show that the implementation of the Productive Economic Enterprises and Joint Business Groups programs in improving the social welfare of people with welfare problems in West Sumbawa Regency can be concluded, among others, UEP and KUBE are government programs in the form of business assistance to the people of West Sumbawa which have been implemented well by the West Sumbawa Regency Social Service. The UEP and KUBE programs in the West Sumbawa community are implemented procedurally in accordance with existing regulations, both from the process of submitting applications for assistance, assistance and assessment of beneficiaries. With N = 17, from the t table above, the t table value is 0.689, the significance value of the table is 0.007 so that the significance value is 0.007 < 0.689 or the value of t count < t table so that it can be concluded that the Productive Economic Enterprises (UEP) and Joint Business Groups (KUBE) social assistance program is effective in improving community welfare in West Sumbawa Regency.

Развитие регионального предпринимательского сектора в нестабильных экономических условиях

The article analyzes the state of the domestic entrepreneurial sector in the challenging environment of moder-nity, the development of which was “undermined” due to the COVID-19 pandemic and sanctions pressure. The authors analyzed the volume of financing of business support programs in the Samara region based on the data of the Unified Register of small and medium-sized businesses. The conceptual model for the consistent development of the business assistance fund in the context of the implementation of the main activities in diffi-cult economic conditions has been formed, which makes it possible to increase the speed of managerial deci-sion-making. The regional Center for Business Cooperation of Small, Medium and Large Enterprises was pro-posed for implementation, the work of which is aimed at the integration of competencies in the development of new products in the conditions of import substitution and their promotion in the market. The authors see the main task of the new structure in uniting manufacturers, suppliers and developers of import-substituting prod-ucts, as well as employees of scientific laboratories specializing in economic developments.

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT ACCELERATION MODEL TO INCREASE THE ROLE OF MICRO WAQF BANK AULIA CENDEKIA IN SHARIA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Micro Waqf Bank is an intermediary institution that has enormous potential to increase Islamic economic development through financing accompanied by business assistance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of Micro Waqf Banks in Aulia Cendekia and formulate a model for accelerating empowerment in improving economic development. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained from observation and interviews, and analytical techniques used triangulation. The results of this study found that the Micro Waqf Bank in Aulia Cendekia not only offers capital loans but seeks to empower people who become customers from the beginning to become potential customers until after becoming customers, namely facilities in the form of socialization, training, Compulsory Group Training, to weekly Group activities commonly called HALMI. The impact of implementation of the empowerment acceleration model of Micro Waqf Bank Aulia Cendikia has a positive impact on customers from a shared responsibility system, without collateral or interest resulting in usury, there are no other costs that reduce customer profits. In addition, Micro Waqf Banks are also carried out to empower the community under the supervision of OJK through accountability of internal reports to avoid actions outside the objectives and functions of Micro Waqf Banks as a means of empowering communities in micro businesses to achieve sharia economic development

Lessons Learned from a Food Hub-Based Retail Intervention That Expanded Reach and Sales of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables in Low-Income, Low-Access Neighborhoods

ABSTRACT From 2014–2016, a food hub-based healthy retail initiative in Oakland, CA expanded (from five to 17) the number of corner stores and produce stands that offer fresh fruits and vegetables (FV) in low-income, low-access (LILA) neighborhoods. Complementary interventions addressed promotion, affordability, and SNAP-EBT accommodation. Surveys, interviews, and financial data demonstrated that this expansion reached residents in LILA neighborhoods, increased FV purchases, and benefited local stores and regional farms, but did not reduce food hub financial losses. Keys to success included careful site selection, business assistance, community engagement, and FV affordability and quality. Strategies to achieve financial sustainability are needed.

Community Investments and Diet-Related Outcomes: A Longitudinal Study of Residents of Two Urban Neighborhoods

Investments in historically oppressed neighborhoods through food retail, housing, and commercial development are hypothesized to improve residents' health, nutrition, and perceptions of their neighborhood as a place to live. Although place-based development (e.g., housing, retail, business assistance) is happening in many communities, there is little evidence of the long-term correlates of multiple investments such as health and nutrition among residents. A quasi-experimental longitudinal study was conducted using a cohort of randomly sampled households in two low-income, predominantly African American neighborhoods in Pittsburgh, PA, with surveys assessing residents' food insecurity, perception of their neighborhood as a place to live, perception of access to healthy foods, and dietary outcomes in 2011 and seven years later (2018), with an interim assessment in 2014. Analyses conducted in 2022 compared changes among residents of one neighborhood which had 2.6 times the investments over a 7-year period with changes among residents of a socio-demographically similar neighborhood that received fewer investments. It was found that residents in the neighborhood receiving substantial investments demonstrated statistically significant improvements in neighborhood satisfaction (12.6% improvement compared with a 2.2% decrease) and perceived access to healthy food (52% improvement compared with 18.2% improvement), and marginally significant change in food security (14% compared with 4.8% improvement) compared with residents in the neighborhood receiving fewer investments. Multiple place-based investments in neighborhoods can potentially induce positive change for residents in health and nutrition outcomes.

The role of quality in the hotel sector: the interplay between strategy, innovation and outsourcing to achieve performance

PurposeAchieving better performance and a sustainable competitive advantage is essential for survival in the hotel industry. However, literature is scarce on which factors local hotel businesses in developing countries should rely on to compete successfully. With an emerging economy and significant potential for growth in the travel and hospitality sectors, Colombia is seeking to improve the performance of its hotel industry. To achieve this goal, exploring and analyzing the effects of the strategies and practices implemented is essential. Accordingly, this study investigates the dynamics of the interactions between strategies, process innovations, outsourcing practices and operational quality in the hotel industry in Colombia.Design/methodology/approachThe methodology used in this research is quantitative, using structural equation modeling based on data collected from 150 valid questionnaires.FindingsThe strategies of the hotel sector have an impact on hotel performance. Although process innovation demonstrably affects quality and outsourcing, there is a low impact on the performance of the studied hotels. The hotel sector lacks strategy autonomy as strategies are not directed to the organization's overall improvement but only to satisfy stakeholders' requirements.Research limitations/implicationsThis paper offers valuable insights for organizations when implementing strategic innovation initiatives. It provides information relevant to Colombian government entities on the creation of processes, economic policy plans and business assistance programs for boosting the financial and commercial sustainability of Colombian service sector businesses. The studied organizations need to redefine the role of their strategies, process innovation, outsourcing projects and quality standards to achieve adequate performance, as all four dimensions together are required to foster competitiveness.Practical implicationsThis paper offers valuable insights for organizations when implementing strategic innovation initiatives. Additionally, it provides information relevant to Colombian government entities on the creation of processes, economic policy plans and business assistance programs for boosting the financial and commercial sustainability of Colombian service sector businesses. The studied organizations need to redefine the role of their strategies, process innovation, outsourcing projects and quality standards to achieve adequate performance, as all four dimensions together are required to foster competitiveness.Originality/valueDeveloping successful strategies is vital to generating performance. Quality and safety are critical strategies to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. But literature is scarce on which factors local hotel businesses should rely on to compete successfully in developing countries. In particular, the concept of outsourcing in a highly distrusting developing country has not been addressed adequately. This research contributes to literature by evaluating quality as a competitive strategy in the hotel sector in a developing country to achieve a superior performance.

Analisis Pengelolaan Ziswaf Untuk Meningkatkan Kesejahteran Masyarakat Dibidang Ekonomi

Poverty is a condition that is still a problem in Indonesia. This can be seen from the still high number of poor people in Indonesia in 2021 reaching 26.5 million people. This poverty does not just happen, one of the reasons is because people's income is low and the poverty level is still low, making them unable to meet their daily needs. Eradicating poverty in Indonesia requires cooperation from various parties, both government and private. Therefore, the community service team together with YBM PLN UID North Sumatra is implementing a program based on local wisdom to improve the community's economy in the form of community empowerment in improving community welfare. This has an impact on people's income levels which are still low. This program includes providing business capital, skills training and business assistance. The results of the analysis of Ziswaf management for economic prosperity show that this program has a positive impact on community welfare. This can be seen from the aspect of increasing income, physical aspects, natural aspects, human resource aspects, and social aspects.
