Excess enthalpies, excess isobaric heat capacities, densities and speeds of sound of the mixtures, ethyl acetate + benzene, +ethanol, and +2,2,2-trifluorethan-1-ol, were measured at 298.15 K. The densities were also measured at 303.15 K. The excess volumes were estimated from the density, and the isentropic and isothermal compressibilities and the isochoric heat capacities were estimated from the density, the speed of sound and the isobaric heat capacity. H m E and C p.m E of the CH 3COOC 2H 5 + CF 3CH 2OH system are large and negative, their minimum values are about −615 J mol −1 and −8.3 J K −1 mol −1. On the other hand, the V m E, κ S E and κ T E values for this mixture are very large and positive, the maxima are 1.1 cm 3 mol −1, 90 TPa −1, and 117 TPa −1 respectively. All of those can be attributed to unlike association and destruction of the cluster structure in pure CF 3CH 2OH by mixing. H m E and C p.m E of CH 3COOC 2H 5 + C 2H 5OH are also large but positive, their maximum values are about 1320 J mol −1 and 7.3 J K −1. However, the V m E, κ S E and κ T E values are very small. As for the CH 3COOC 2H 5 + C 6H 6 system, H m E, C p.m E and also V m E, κ S E and κ T E are very small due to just induced dipole-dipole interaction.
