Representasi Perempuan Dalam Sinetron Suara Hati Istri

This research aims to determine the representation of women in the Suara Hati Istri series using semiotic analysis from a gender perspective. This research was conducted using a narrative descriptive qualitative research method. The data in this research is the episode of “Beratnya Punya Suami Yang Ingin Istrinya Cantik Seperti Model” using data collection techniques browsing by the vidio.com site, documentation, and literature studies. This research uses Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis. The results of the research show that in the series of Suara Hati Istri: Beratnya Punya Suami Yang Ingin Istrinya Cantik Seperti Model women are represented based on the role of a wife, namely macak, masak, and manak in the patriarchal system of Javanese society. The character Nana is represented as a housewife who has complete responsibility for taking care of all the needs of the house, husband, and children. Her husband, Fendy, also demands that Nana continue to look beautiful. Apart from that, Fendy also considers that looking after and caring for children is a wife's responsibility so she is not allowed to have a baby sitter.

An Approach on the Development of a Smart Monitoring System of a Baby Cradle

Abstract: Baby care has grown increasingly vital and difficult for working women in recent years. Working mothers will not have enough time at home to regularly check their babies. They delegate responsibility for their baby to a baby sitter or send the baby to their grandparents' home. A smart cradle with an automatic baby monitoring system was designed in the proposed work. The necessary parameters of the infant, such as temperature, heartbeat rate, gas molecules, capture the movements, and position of the baby, were measured and monitored in the baby monitoring system. The infant monitoring system is connected to the cradle, creating an incubator-like environment for the baby. The infant monitoring device keeps an eye on the baby 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The mobile application will display the measured parameters concerning the baby's health, such as temperature, heartbeat rate, and wetness on the baby bed. The baby monitoring system prototype aids parents in time management while also making life easier for caregivers. This infant monitoring device has been shown to do the least amount of harm to the baby while providing the highest level of accuracy. Though several models are already available on the market, the primary goal of this research paper would be to propose an approach for recognizing a particular accent of an individual infant among a group of infants using advanced technologies like as Ai, NLP, or speech recognition.

THE EXPERIENCE OF MIDWIVES WHO EXPERIENCED THE TRAUMATIC CHILDBIRTH

AbstractBackground: The high rate of medicalization in a woman reduces her ability to give birth and negatively impacts labor. Negative birth emotion in a midwife affects the quality of care. METHOD: This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The sampling technique was purposive sampling consisting of 10 respondents based on inclusion and exclusion criteria setted by the researcher. Data was obtained by conducting in-depth interviews. Data was analysed by reducing data, presenting data, coding, categorizing, and drawing conclusions. RESULTS: Three themes that identified the causes of labor trauma to midwives in this study were complications, pain during labor and post sc, and the absence of a baby sitter. Besides being caused by having previous illnesses, providers who are impatient and prioritize their agendas cause women experience complications that make them traumatized. The attitude of providers and things around women can influence women's perceptions of women's pain. The absence of a baby sitter causes theintense stress for women during pregnancy. CONCLUSION: Providers should have good effective communication skills and pay attention to women's mental readiness during pregnancy and birth. The government ensures that the services provided during childbirth focus on the needs of women so as to reduce the number of trauma.

APLIKASI PENCARIAN ASISTEN RUMAH TANGGA “ASISTENKU” BERBASIS ANDROID

The meaning of assistants is a person whose duty as to assist other assistants and maid is specific assistant for housework. The maid is a job that people choose a lot because of economic factors and poor education. Families who are doing a lot of activities outside the home certainly need assistants to take care of the needs of the housework. A conventional way of finding assistants is to go to the homes assisted foundations or ask other people. In this study, were developed to ease in finding assistants. This application helps users to assistants search for example maid, baby sitters, drivers, and security by displaying the availability of assistants and tariffs offered. The application has been tested for functional and non-functional using Likert scale. Based on functional testing known that the application has met the required function and based on non-functional testing it is known that the respondents' assessment of the application is an 92% points which is very good.

Significantly, kids who participate in early child-care programs will be more beneficial and more fruitful in school. Child-care educators can share assets, thoughts and even get together in a nearby play area. Each parent has an alternate thought of what they need for their kids. There are various sorts of child-care offerings, Private child-care chains: An organization normally runs these as establishments, Private or independent nurseries: These are controlled by people or a group of people, home-based child-care: In India, this is a typical type of child-care, most of the time run by homemakers, Daycares connected to schools: Certain schools may decide to set up child-care appended to their school, Workplace childcares: Companies now and again have nearby child-care for youngsters. Several companies offer onsite child care support for their employees. Few organizations are Google, Johnson and Johnson, Boeing, Nike, Procter, Gamble, etc. Parents have the main concern that they want to know how their child is doing while they are away. Are their child's needs being met? Are they being heard when sharing important details about their child's care? Can they reach the facility at any time, and can staff reach parents regardless of where they are during the day? A central communication hub can help parents communicate important information such as dietary restrictions or special drop-off or pick-up instructions to address all these above concerns. Also, touch-free devices that would allow teachers to communicate hands-free, leaving them to focus on their most important task caring for children, require the hour. In this paper, a framework of voice user interface-based AI enables child daycare assistance system has been proposed that reviewed by baby sitters and parents.

Just like in a library: A posthumous novel by Carlo Sgorlon

This contribution examines the latest novel by Carlo Sgorlon, completed on June 24, 2008, but published posthumously, ten years after the author’s death: L’isola di Brendano ( Brendano’s Island). The book introduces character types dear to the Italian writer: Brendano Mac Finnegan, a hard-working and creative architect of Irish origin, who comes from abroad to Vallorsaria, an imaginary town in the Alps, where he falls in love with Antonia, a local woman; Antonia’s young daughter, Jole, who gives birth to a boy endowed with extraordinary powers: Bindo; an Afghan baby sitter, called Fatma, who joins the three above mentioned characters, forming with them a strange but happy family; Brendano’s friend, Amos, who represents a man incapable of positive attitude towards life and destined for a tragic end. With L’isola di Brendano, Sgorlon paid homage to a literary tradition he considered the most genuine, close and familiar to him. In the novel it is possible to identify many references, both explicit and implicit, to various writers, including Samuel Beckett, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Elsa Morante. In this way, L’isola di Brendano resembles the mirror of a small but well-chosen library.

Child Labour and Delinquent Behaviour in Nigeria: A Risk Factor Analysis

The thrust of this paper is to analyse the issues surrounding child labour and delinquent behaviour, linking the core of the problem to parents’ financial status, cultural practices and parental literacy. The article presents that child labour is a widespread global abnormality, wherein underage children are illegally engaged in undignified, dangerous, and debasing economic activities without considering the implication on their safety, security and dreams. These children are unduly engaged or employed to work for longer hours; usually at dumpsites, industrial layouts, farmlands, and in other settings; as servants, labourers and scavengers. A situation that has a significant socio-psychological effect, which in extreme cases results in delinquent behaviour. Child labour invariably creates a feeling of false maturity syndrome, as well as, exposes children to negative habits in the course of interacting with people of low-virtue, who often in the guise of patronizing their wares indoctrinate them into their unsavoury ways of life. As Nigeria battles the increasing rate of child labour and the attendant juvenile delinquency, it has become imperative that qualitative education should be made free, compulsory, relevant, attractive, and available for all, irrespective of their tribe, gender, religion, and geographical location. If child education is guaranteed, it, therefore, follows that parents would not see the need to give out their children as baby sitters and house helps to their relatives who initially promise to give the child good education whereas such relatives eventually use the innocent child in multiple labour such as domestic laundry and street hawking.

THE ROLE OF FEMALE MIGRANT WORKER ANALYSIS IN INCREASING FAMILY INCOME IN BANYUWANGI

The high poverty rates in the rural area and the difficulty for obtaining material needs such as clothing, food, shelter. It makes the involvement of all elements of the family are required including the role of women in improving the family economy. The purpose of this research was to investigate the female migrant worker (TKW) economic condition, the role of TKW in improving the family economy, and the TKW total income. This research was conducted by employing field research methods and analytic descriptive approach. The sample of this research was 22 TKW by using total sampling as the sampling technique. The result of this research as shown by the SPSS software on the Pearson correlation test, the significance level showed < 0.05 which means that H1 was accepted. The TKW economic condition experienced an increase in the family economy after working abroad by 85.75%, their roles as TKW were baby sitters, housemaids, and elderly caregivers, and the total of the income reached 8 million rupiahs.

Sound and Sense in Select Ibibio Lullabies

This paper sets out to examine select traditional Ibibio lullabies for their sound effects and the sense (impressions), they create in the ears and minds of the infant audience. To fulfill this objective, the researcher undertook field work with the help of an assistant, and recorded ten (10) lullabies through interaction with five specialists who are professional baby minders. The ten songs form the texts that have been analyzed in this paper. The theoretical framework for this study is the Cultural Approach, with a strong bias for the literary devices deployed by the performers in the songs. The finding of this study is that the performance of lullabies as credible tools of child rearing among the Ibibio is fast dying out, as its performers today are mainly elderly women—grandmothers, who at some point in their lives had engaged in the art as mothers, paid baby sitters or grandmothers taking care of their grandchildren. The analysis of the few texts of this subgenre collected from the field, have proven that lullabies are rich in aesthetics and other stylistic devices. On the whole, these lullabies prove to be credible poetry, just as any found anywhere in the world. For this reason, this study takes the position that more studies should be undertaken on this neglected aspect of Ibibio oral literature, while also devising a means of collecting, documenting and preserving texts of this subgenre that are still in circulation, for the coming generation.

How making decisions for children affects the food choices of adults

Parents and other adults such as baby sitters, daycare workers, and teachers are responsible for making choices that contribute to the development and well-being of the children in their care. In a typical day, for example, parents decide what and how much their children eat, the amount of time they spend online, the television programs they watch, and the time they go to bed. In this research, we identify two common approaches -imposition and accommodation-that are available to decision makers and outline how these decisions affect the feelings of power and eating behaviors of the adults themselves. Four experiments and one field study demonstrate that adults shape their own consumption choices based on whether they accommodate the virtuous (i.e. healthy) vs. indulgent (i.e. unhealthy) preferences of the child or impose their own preferences. We find that when adults accommodate the child's preferences, they choose healthier foods for themselves. Finally, we demonstrate that the social context of consumption moderates these effects. We find support for our power-based theory in five studies using a variety of methods, participants, and contexts. The results have important implications for the health of adults who take care of children.

Decision Support System for Household Labor Services Selection “Best Helper” Using AHP and TOPSIS Methods

Selection of household labor services was an important aspect in families who have a lot of activity. The existence of helpful household labour services would avoid the occurrence of problems that should be caused. Types of household labour services which were often used were maids, baby sitters, elderly nurses, gardeners, and drivers. The main problem arose in the difficulty of service seekers in choosing the desired service and how to minimize the time spent. To overcome this, a decision support system was used using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method which was used to find the criteria for each alternative weight, and ranking calculations using the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. This research was implemented using PHP language with CodeIgniter framework. The result shows that the usability test obtains the average value with the system usability scale (SUS) method of 71.09%. It shows that the level of system usability is classified as good and can be accepted and used easily by the users. Meanwhile, the result of the user response test shows a percentage of 87.5%, so it can be concluded that the system belongs to good category and feasible to use.

Perbedaan Disfungsi Sexual Wanita yang Melahirkan Secara Pervaginam dengan Episiotomy Mediolateral dan Seksio Sesarea

Generally, the causes of Postpartum Female Sexual Dysfunction (PPFSD) are dyspareunia, perineal pain, the discomfort of incision lesion including surgery, reduction of libido, lack of lubrication in the vagina, changes in seeing body image to be negative, and anorgasm irelated to pain and trauma. Perineal pain and dyspareunia are post partum problems which occur frequently and interfere with normal sexual function, that usually are caused by perineal trauma, episiotomy, and child birth instrumentation. This study was conducted by a cross-sectional study. Research subjects consisted of women post vaginal delivery with mediolateral episiotomy and postcesarean section. Each group consisted of 45 people. After three months post partum sexual function as sessed using FSFI scores (Female Sexual Function Index) as well as an assess ment of demographic data include age, religion, education, employment, insurance coverage/BPJS, gestational age, birthweight, stitches condition, medical treatment, nursing, assistance of baby sitter and problems in the family. The data had to fulfill the inclusion and exclusion criteria in the form of question naires were further tested withc hi-square analysis and independent t-test. In the demographic data analysis withc hi-squareanalys is didn’t find any significant differences between the two groups, with p>0.05. The sexual dysfunction among women after vaginal delivery with mediolateral episiotomy and cesarean section there was no significant difference p=0.081, and p>0.05. On the FSFI scores domains there are significant differences between the two group son the variables of sexual desire, orgasm, pain and FSFI total scores.

Do we get the message through? Difficulties in the prevention of abusive head trauma

Many programs aim to prevent abusive head trauma throughout the USA, Europe, and in many other regions of the world. Most of these programs inform mothers shortly after delivery about the dangers of abusive head trauma. Effectiveness of these programs usually is measured by the increase of knowledge on abusive head trauma. Recent research showed, however that for effective primary prevention, a much broader approach might be necessary. But so far, there is no data that reports the knowledge on key messages on abusive head trauma in the general public as a baseline. We conducted a representative population-based survey on abusive head trauma knowledge in Germany. Whereas the dangers are generally well known, a majority might be ambivalent towards the recommendation to leave a crying infant alone for a few minutes when the caregiver becomes too stressed or frustrated. Furthermore, a majority prefers being informed on abusive head trauma before birth.Conclusion: Future preventive programs should focus on educating adolescents (potential baby sitters) and young adults when they do not yet have children of their own. What is known: • Most programs for primary prevention of abusive head trauma (AHT) focus on mothers shortly after delivery • There are no analyses so far of the quality of education programs in the general public, as educating mothers might not be sufficient to reduce incidence rates What is new: • Our study is the first population-based survey to measure the knowledge on AHT in a representative population sample and to provide the data base for targeted prevention programs. • The introduction of broader prevention programs might be necessary.

ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN KOMPETENSI DAN PENYUSUNAN MODEL AWAL PELATIHAN IN-SERVICE BERBASIS KOMPETENSI DALAM MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALISME BABY SITTER

Baby sitters, at the present, though they are distributed through workers distribution services and have completed the training, all parties have not yet acknowledged their standards of competency. This research aims at analyzing the needs of competency and investigating competency-based in-service training model in order to improve baby sitters’ professionalism. This research utilizes qualitative research method with observation, interview and FGD (Forum Group Discuss) as the technique. The research was conducted at three of training institute for baby sitter in Bandung, West Java from January 2011 until August 2011. The results show that: 1) the analysis of competency’s needs shows that baby sitters at present need a training that can help them improve their ability and knowledge as well as competency based on the field’s needs and standards referring to standard imposed. 2) The conceptual model of competency-based in-service training comprises the development on mix standard competencies that are built, the determination of training management strategy, the strategy and learning method in the training, and various apparatus of training needed. The research concludes that baby sitters at present need improvement in their competencies in order to be professional in future.

The Determinants of Female Child Labour in Pakistan: The Case of Multan City

The ever-rising danger of child labour has created several problems in Pakistan. The purpose of this study is to find out those determinants which affect the female child labour in Multan and also identify some new determinants which affect the incidence of the child labour. Data has been collected for 200 female labourers, employed as maidservants, baby sitters and other household activities. The results of the study show that female child labour decreases due to increase in schools, assets, per-capita income, transfer payments, education and number of employed members in a family while on the other hand; large family size increases the female child labour. On the basis of the econometric analysis, we may suggest that government officers, media experts, members of non-government organizations and educationists should make serious and sincere efforts to achieve the objective of decreasing the incidence of female child labour and develop their living situations.

Soothing Crying Babies and Preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome

Crying is a baby's primary way to communicate. A baby's cry just for a short while may not be a concern or bothersome for the mother or others. Long episodes of crying lead to sleepless nights for parents, and it also doubles the risk of mothers suffering from feelings of depression. This can be prevented by counseling parents on how and how not to respond to infant crying. Hunger, soiled diaper, pain, Sleepiness, wanting to be held, tiredness, colicky abdomen, unpleasant weather, teething, feeling unwell, overstimulation are some of the reasons often babies cry. It is essential that especially first time mothers be aware of the reasons of baby's cry and simple remedial measures to soothen them. In an attempt to quieting the crying babies, these babies are shaken violently which may cause severe damage to the baby's brain resulting in Shaken baby Syndrome. Parents and baby sitters must be aware of the danger in shaking the babies vigorously.

Dilemma of the Kinship and Formality Relationship between Employer and Domestic Worker in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Labor relations between employers and domestic workers is one of the very old form of relationship that is influenced by cultural and social development of society. The purpose of this study to determine the forms of employment relationships of kinship and formal working relationships and form working relationships between them are preferred by employers in Yogyakarta. The theory used in this study uses the concept of patron-client (Scott, 1985) and patriarchy (Delaney, 2005) to explain the two forms of the employment relationship in the domestic sphere. This research used post-positivist paradigm with mixed methods, quantitative and qualitative (Guba Lincoln, 1997). The results showed kinship relationships occur in household domestic worker, working full time and living in the employer’s home. Formal relationship occurs in the working relationship of domestic workers work part time (fill-in), a special work as pramurukti and/ baby sitter. Generally, employers prefer that is kinship relationship because of the perspective domestic worker are part of the family. In contrast, domestic worker prefer to work part-time, work-specific and do not live in private homes because more wages and freely in the work. Employers and domestic workers have individual rationality in determining the form of employment relationship. In fact, kinship relationships wane and increasing the quantity of formal relations, characterized by the use of part-time domestic worker are increasingly numerous. In essence, kinship relationships and have in common that formal work status and low wages.

PERBEDAAN KELEKATAN EMOSIONAL ANAK DENGAN ORANG TUA DITINJAU DARI LINGKUNGAN

The objectives of this study are: (1) to know attachment between children and parents who get the care in their house by other members of family except parents; (2) to know attachment between children and parents who get the care in day care; and (3) to know differences of the attachments of children and parents between who get care in their house and in the day care. This study used quantitative approach with comparative design by using independent samples t test. This study involved 60 respondents by using random sampling technique. The respondents consisted of 30 parents who entrusted their children in day care and 30 parents who cared their children in their house by other members of family except parents. This study used children who were 2-4 years old in Semarang regency. The attachment was measured by using likert scale with three factors which influenced the attachment. The factors were baby sitter, children’ behavior and atmosphere of family. The result showed that there is a difference of the emotional attachment of children and parents based on care area. It showed that the average of independent sample t test group which was in day care was 93.07 higher than children’s emotional attachment t test group in their house by other members excepted their family was 91.10. The researcher concluded attachment between children and their parents who get the care in their house by other member of family excepted the parents was good. On the other hand, attachment of children and parents showed that it was more comfortable.
