Analysis of Ability to Pay National Health Insurance Contributions to Communities on Lakkang Island, Makassar City in 2017

This study aimed to analyse the ability to pay National Health Insurance (NHI) contributions by the community in the Lakkang Island of Makassar City. The type of research used is quantitative research with a descriptive survey approach. The population in the study was 121 families who had not participated in the NHI program on Lakkang Island. Saturated sampling method is used to obtain a sample of 95 families. Data collection was carried out by direct interviews with the people of Lakkang Island based on the questionnaire and the data analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed that the ability to pay ATP 1 of the respondents was in the capable category, which was 61.1% with an average of IDR 90, 440 per month, for non-food ATP 2 category, it was 62.1% with an average amounting to IDR23, 544 per month. Non-essential is in the capable category, which is 51.6% with an average of IDR26, 536 per month.

Analisis Pendapatan Usahatani Padi Sawah dan Sayuran di Desa Dawi-Dawi Kecamatan Wonggeduku Kabupaten Konawe

This research aims to find out Paddy and vegetable farm income, and Paddy and vegetable farm efficiency in Dawi-Dawi Village, Wonggeduku Subdistrict, Konawe Regency. The population of this research is comprised of all farmers who grow paddy and plant vegetables (tomato and yardlong bean) in Dawi-Dawi Village, Wonggeduku Subdistrict, Konawe Regency which consist of 21 farmers. Samples are taken using census method, in which all of the population is taken as research sample. Therefore, a number of samples in this research are 21 farmers. The data are analyzed using income analysis, namely, Pd = TR TC and farm efficiency analysis R/C Ratio = TR/TC. The results show that: (1) paddy farm incomes per season range from IDR 1,901,250 – IDR 24,492,250 with the average of IDR 7,697,670. Tomato farm incomes per season range from IDR 1,979,772 – IDR 25,351,820 with an average of IDR 7,970,189. Yardlong bean farm incomes per season range from IDR 1,532,389 – IDR 3,391,000 with an average of IDR 1,822,370, and (2) Paddy, tomato and yardlong bean farms are deemed efficient with the R/C ratio of 2.73, 2.97, and 3.13 respectively.

ANALISIS KEUNTUNGAN USAHA TANI CENGKEH (STUDI KASUS DESA SULUUN RAYA)

This study aims to find out how much benefit the clove farmers got and how much Break Event Point (BEP) in volume and price of production were obtained by clove farmers. The research was conducted by colecting primary data through interviews using a structured simple questionnaire. Interviews were conducted in the Suluun Raya Village, Sub-district of Suluun Tareran. Total samples are 30 respondents. It has selected intentionally (purposive sampling). To achieve the research objectives, the indicator analysis used the analysis of production, cost, revenue and profit. Total production of cloves from 30 respondents in the Village of Suluun Raya was 33,020 kg with an average production of 1,100.6 kg, for a total cost of IDR 1,587,078,500, with an average of IDR 52,902,617, for a total revenue of IDR 3.22865 billion with an average of IDR 107,621,666.7, and for a total profit of IDR 1,699,232,967 with an average of IDR 54.71905 million. Clove businesses in the Village of Suluun Raya has given benefits to farmers where the value of average of Revenue- Cost Ratio obtained 1.80. Thus clove farm in the village of Suluun Raya was very profitable. The Break Event Point volume of production was reached when the production rate of 542.942 kg. Average production volume of clove farmers was 1101 Kg means that clove businesses profitable for farmers. The Break Event Point was reached when the price of production of IDR 48 050/kg. Average price of cloves of IDR 97 433/kg means that the price of cloves in the Village of Suluun Raya profitable for farmers.

Processing of rice straw with ammoniation process and fermentation through fodder IbM activities intended to change the pattern of majemen cattle ranch pattern towards effective and efficient. Ibm pilot simple form stable, nutritious animal feed and livestock management changes through with implementing health management and livestock fodder. Aspects of the provision of fodder production at any time, especially for feed consumption evenings creating growth and weight gain of cattle faster with feed consumption rate of 0.5 kg s / d 1 kg per cow for local cattle. Management aspects of the farmers more flexibility to adjust working time for various activities such as taking care of livestock, farming, bersawah and other employment matters. KAJIAN DAMPAK PEMBEBASAN LAHAN PEMBANGUNAN JARINGAN TRANSMISI LISTRIK TERHADAP KONDISI SOSIAL EKONOMI MASYARAKAT

Development of transmission line is needed to increase the availability of electrical demand. This development requires a land acquisition, which has some impacts toward socio-economic of society, namely changes of livehood and loss of earnings. Objectives of this study were: 1) to identify some problems caused by land acquisition; 2) to analyze the changes of livehood and income caused by land acquisition; 3) factors affected price of land compensation; 4) alternatives solution to minimize impact of land acquisition. The change of livehood was analyzed by descriptive qualitative method, meanwhile the change of income by loss of earning, factors affected price of land compensation by regression. This study was conducted in 12 villages in Bogor and Depok crossed by the transmission line. The result of study showed that the transmission lines development the emergencing of various problems, namely: (a) land acquisition is causing the loss of home for 3,33 percent of respondents that had to be relocated to other areas, (b) land acquisition is causing the loss of 16,63 percent agricultural land owned by community that affected by the transmission line, (c) land acquisition is causing internal conflict within the family of 5.00 percent respondents in terms of the distribution of compensation money received. The land acquisition causes change of livelihood of farmers (6,67 percent), owners of grocery shop and drink stalls business (3.33 percent), and business owners of rental house (3,33 percent). This causes loss of earning for 26.67 percent respondent, with the total loss of earnings of IDR 6,605,000 per month or an average of IDR 412,813 per month per respondent. The regression model of land compensation price has R-Square (adj) 73,9 percent, with the factors that significantly affect the value of land compensation are: Tax Object Sales Value (NJOP) of land, market price of the land, and the size area of respondents landholding, with a significance level of each respectively 0,000. The result of classical assumption test proves that the regression model is built in accordance with the rules of econometrics is good with no autocorrelation, no multicollinieraty, no heteroscedasticity, and the data is also distributed normally. To minimize the land acquisitioned impact should be noted about how the continuation of economic enterprise communities that rely on land as the main capital of the business, and how the compensation value specified must meet the aspect of obedience to the law and agreement with the land owners. PENGARUH PENDAPATAN TERHADAP KONSUMSI DAGING DAN TELUR DI KECAMATAN SIAU BARAT KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN SIAU TAGULANDANG BIARO

ABSTRACT EFFECT OF INCOME ON MEAT AND EGG CONSUMPTION IN WEST SIAU DISTRICT OF THE SIAU TAGULANDANG BIARO REGENCY. Generally, coastal farmer community have low income causing consumptions of livestock product are low. West Siau district was including in the Siau Tagulandang Biaro Island regency as the coastal area. Majority of the population of this regency were household farmer and fisher men, causing consumption of livestock product depended on their income. Objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of income on meat and egg consumption in West Siau district. Samples of villages were defined using purposive sampling method, referring to villages with high population staying on the coastal area including villages of Pelingsawang, Peling and Paniki. Data were collected using survey method including primary and secondary data. Household farmers were defined based on simple random sampling with the total of 41 persons. Variables observed were total meat consumption, total egg consumption and income per capita. Data were analyzed by simple regression analysis. Results showed that total income of household farmer were IDR 136,660,000 with the average of IDR 3,333,171 per household farmer per month. Total chicken meat, pork and egg consumptions were 58.5 kg, 27.5 kg and 17.4 kg per month, respectively. Average investment to consume meat and eggs were IDR 122,195 or 3.67 percents of the family income. Average meat consumption at West Siau district were 7.72 kg per capita per year, consisted of chicken meat and pork of 4.84 kg and 2.88 kg per capita per year, respectively. Average of egg consumption were 1.49 kg per capita per year. Therefore, income of the family significantly affected meat and egg consumption in West Siau district of the Siau Tagulandang Biaro regency. Efficiency Test of IRRI Fertilizing Recommendations on Rainfed Low Land Rice Field in West Kalimantan

Fertilizing recommendation for lowland rice field in West Kalimantan is still in national scale and tends to be excessive. It is less relevant due to various factors such as the test method competence, the carrying capacity of the land, and the diverse condition of rice field agro-ecosystem. Site-specific nutrient management (SSNM) is an approach for rice fertilizing on paddy plot based on science, history of land fertilization, and nutrient sources surrounding the area which can affect soil fertility level and soil conservation.This study was aimed to examine fertilizing efficiency of N, P, and K and the increased productivity of rice by utilizing software (website) of the IRRI. The study was conducted in farmers fields in two villages, i.e. Anjongan and Pak Bulu, Pontianak Regency, West Kalimantan. The results showed that the SSNM fertilization on rice increased yields by the average of 0.62 t ha-1 (13.47%) per growing season. The efficiency of SSNM fertilization was on the average of 22.05% N, 48.25% P2O5, and 31.50% K2O. The additional profits obtained from the SSNM recommendation was on the average of IDR 1,886,317 per ha pergrowing season compared to the profits from the FFP (farmer fertilizer practice).Keywords: Fertilizing efficiency, low land, rice, site specific fertilization [How to Cite: Muhammad H, M Syam and DP Widiastuti. 2014. Fishermen’s Household Characteristics in Bunaken National Park Area, North Sulawesi Province

This study was aimed at knowing and analyzing the fishermen's household characteristics in Bunaken National Park. It used survey method through structured interviews in order to obtain primary data of the fisheries business owner's and boat crew's households. The secondary ones were also collected from the office of Marine and Fisheries Services at the provincial, regency, and municipality levels for 2006 - 2010, Fishermen's household sampling was carried out with cluster and multi stage random sampling. Results showed that fishing, post-harvest and non-fisheries activities of the owner's household per working period were higher than those of the boat crews. In contrast, the working opportunity of the owner's household in fishing, post- harvest, and non-fisheries was lower than that of crew's household. The average income from fishing, post- harvest, and non-fisheries for the owner's household was higher than that of the crew's household. Based on the average number of the owner's households as many as 3.5 people and of the crew's as many as 3 people, the income per capita was IDR 14.365 million/year or an average of IDR. 1.197 million/month for the owner's household and IDR 4.5 million/year or an average of IDR 0.375 million/month for the crew's household, respectively. This monthly income per capita of the owner's household is above the average minimum wage, while that of the crew's household is below the average minimum wage.
