SOME INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAINS

The digitization process, imposed by the rapid development of electronics, the Internet, the availability of IT, new software, devices, networks, and platforms, is gaining an almost unlimited reach. The concept of process visualization initially appeared as a comprehensive term for obtaining and using data and information with the application of new information and communication technologies (ICT) in the economy and beyond, intending to fully characterize the process with specific key performance indicators (KPI), which would enable its users to better insight into the state of their processes, vehicles, devices, people, at any time, from any place, according to the principle of each-and-everyone. The paper presents systematized communication technologies and services in the cloud that are in use or under development. The division into groups of technologies was made according to the functions significant in logistics and supply chains. Some of the technologies analyzed are described in brief. The work aims to present to businessmen and researchers some of the new technologies that are significant for their areas of business and interest so that they can direct their activities toward that area.

Wireless quantum key distribution at terahertz frequencies: Opportunities and challenges

AbstractQuantum key distribution (QKD) is one of the major applications of quantum information technology. It can provide ultra‐secure key distribution with security guaranteed by the laws of quantum physics. Quantum key distribution is necessary to protect data transmission from quantum computing attacks in future communication networks. The laws of quantum mechanics dictate that as opposed to microwave frequencies, quantum coherence is preserved at room temperatures for terahertz (THz) frequencies. This makes the THz band a promising solution for room‐temperature QKD implementation in future wireless communication networks. The authors present the principles of continuous variable QKD (CV‐QKD) systems and review the latest developments in the design and analysis of CV‐QKD systems operating at microwave and THz frequencies. The authors also discuss how multiple‐input multiple‐output transmission can be incorporated into the quantum communications framework to improve the secret key rates and increase the coverage distances of the THz CV‐QKD system. Furthermore, major hardware challenges that must be surmounted to practically realise THz CV‐QKD systems are highlighted.

Evaluation of a WSM system for a smart system in agricultural systems

Smart farming (SF) is the application of information and communication technology on equipment; it includes sensors and equipment used in agricultural production systems. Internet of things and cloud computing are recent innovations. This, together with the use of robots and artificial intelligence in agriculture, ought to spur growth. Wheat, barley, fruits, vegetables, and fodder are the most widely consumed agricultural goods. Agriculture's socioeconomic viability is weather-dependent. By choosing the right crops, a farmer can increase productivity and do it at a lower cost. based on the cost and natural resources available A multi-criteria decision-making model (MCDM) can be used to sort crop options, promote sustainable agriculture practises, and identify the optimal crop for the situation. When evaluating the quantity of food produced in a season, a vertical farm's indoor hectare can provide the same yield as 30 hectares of land using 70% less water and no pesticides. One of the key factors impacting the evolution of SF among the numerous systems available was demonstrated to be cohesion. Additional limitations include the education, skills, and ability of farmers to understand and operate SF instruments. Teaching Reform of “Mine Ventilation and Safety” Based on Modular "Smart Classroom" Construction

“Mine Ventilation and Safety” is a fundamental course for safety engineering students. However, the current teaching mode has several shortcomings, including low student motivation, an irrational teaching mode, inefficient teacher-student interaction, and unreasonable process assessment. These issues fail to meet the requirements of the information age for undergraduate engineering education objectives. The course “Mine Ventilation and Safety” will be reformed based on the development of the Internet and the widespread application of information technology. The basic knowledge of the course will be reorganized, and the teaching content will be reconstructed. The implementation of a network information platform to create a “smart classroom” can enhance students' learning initiative, improve teacher-student interaction efficiency, and enhance students' ability to solve practical problems. This can lead to the cultivation of high-quality, professional, and skilled individuals.

Two-dimensional few-atom noble gas clusters in a graphene sandwich.

The van der Waals atomic solids of noble gases on metals at cryogenic temperatures were the first experimental examples of two-dimensional systems. Recently, such structures have also been created on surfaces under encapsulation by graphene, allowing studies at elevated temperatures through scanning tunnelling microscopy. However, for this technique, the encapsulation layer often obscures the arrangement of the noble gas atoms. Here we create Kr and Xe clusters in between two suspended graphene layers, and uncover their atomic structure through transmission electron microscopy. We show that small crystals (N < 9) arrange on the basis of the simple non-directional van der Waals interaction. Larger crystals show some deviations, possibly enabled by deformations in the encapsulating graphene lattice. We further discuss the dynamics of the clusters within the graphene sandwich, and show that although all the Xe clusters with up to N ≈ 100 remain solid, Kr clusters with already N ≈ 16 turn occasionally fluid under our experimental conditions (under a pressure of ~0.3 GPa). This study opens a way for the so-far unexplored frontier of encapsulated two-dimensional van der Waals solids with exciting possibilities for fundamental condensed-matter physics research and possible applications in quantum information technology.

Pendekatan Machine Learning untuk Analisis dan Visualisasi Data Jembatan Timbang

In this research, a machine learning approach, especially a decision tree model, is implemented to improve the analysis and visualization of weighbridge data in Indonesia. The evaluation results show that the decision tree model provides better insight in predicting the carrying capacity, dimensions and loading procedures of vehicles. The advantage of this model lies in its combination of low Mean Squared Error (MSE) and high R-squared, indicating its effectiveness in capturing data variance and providing accurate predictions. The use of decision tree models can be a valuable tool in improving the visualization of bridge weighing data, allowing users to gain additional insights and understand the complex dynamics within the data. In addition, the model's adaptability to various types of data makes it a versatile analysis tool. The positive implications of using this model open up opportunities to understand more deeply the logic of predictions and make more informed decisions. As a suggestion, increasing the number and quality of weighing equipment, wider application of information and communication technology, human resource training, and cross-sector collaboration can further strengthen weighbridge management in Indonesia.

Application of information technology in judicial field: The development model of online litigation in China

Applying communication technology to the judicial field can improve litigation efficiency and reduce judicial costs, which is the direction of judicial system development. China's online litigation has achieved rapid development in recent years, establishing a nationwide unified online litigation platform and putting it into practical operation. However, it also faces some questions and challenges. This article analyzes the construction mode of China's online litigation platform “Mobile Micro Court” and the fairness of access to the online court based on its actual operation. This article argues that when building online litigation platforms and setting up online litigation rules, it is necessary to adhere to the parties-oriented approach, making it the primary goal of online litigation to facilitate access to justice and prevent online litigation from being alienated as a tool for courts to improve work efficiency. Design and implementation of virtual laboratories for higher education sustainability: a case study of Nankai University

Laboratory learning has a vital role in science education. With the application of information technologies in educational domain, virtual experiment has become an effective supplement to traditional experimental teaching. Moreover, virtual experimentation can expand experimental field, enrich teaching content and reduce experimental risk, which provides strong support for the sustainable development of higher education. Using cutting-edge technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), computer simulation and interaction, we developed two public virtual laboratories and 41 virtual-simulation-experiment projects. They are integrated into an interactive learning environment, that is, virtual experiment learning management platform. The method is based on ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In this paper, one virtual-simulation-experiment project is taken as a case study. The project includes 4 virtual practical activities mapped to the medical courses; and they were implemented in the third year of the bachelor’s degree. The proposed virtual learning environment has been evaluated by learners for 2 years. The results achieved and similar findings from other studies, show that the use of virtual learning environment has a positive impact on the learning process and outcomes.

Assessing the Value of Information Technology for the Decarbonization of Freight Transport

In its first part, the paper gives a summary of the levels of emissions resulting from each mode of transport by use of statistics at the European and global levels. It also summarizes the main measures and policies that have been put forward for the reduction of freight transport greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. To facilitate the subsequent analyses, these measures and policies are classified into four categories, i.e., affecting the “demand” for freight transport services, shifting freight to less or no carbon-intensive modes, improving the energy efficiency of existing freight vehicles, and transitioning to “clean” fuels including electricity and hydrogen. For each of these categories, their current or potential use of information technology (IT) applications is presented, and key examples of such applications are mentioned. In the final part, a multicriteria analysis is performed with the help of two expert panels which are asked to assess, on a 5-level Likert-type scale, the extent of IT use in each of the four categories. The results show an important or very important contribution of IT in all categories except “improving the energy efficiency of current vehicles”. The highest contribution (with scores higher than 4) appears to be in the category “shifting freight to less carbon-intensive modes”.

In the course of the work, current approaches and technologies that can become widely popular among commercial enterprises were considered and the experience of using innovations in the activities of modern enterprises was analyzed. The role of information technologies and modern approaches in the company’s commercial activities is very high. Innovations are involved in enterprise management, in accounting for the performance of the organization, planning business projects, and information exchange. Thus, the application of modern approaches and information technologies in the commercial activities of enterprises is currently a key trend in the development of entrepreneurial structures.

The article presents the results of a study of existing software products that are the most popular and in demand in the processes of ecology and environmental protection. An overview of automated design tools for the field of ecology in Ukraine is given. An overview of the market of automated design tools for the field of ecology was conducted, and their characteristics were given. An overview of integrated management systems in ecology and environmental protection is presented. The application of information technologies in the processes of ecology and environmental protection is that natural resources are now under significant pressure due to industrialization, expansion of urban areas and other human activities. This leads to pollution of air, water and soil, destruction of ecosystems, loss of biodiversity and other negative consequences for the environment. The use of information technology can be a key tool in combating these problems. In the field of the use of information technologies in ecology and environmental protection, the significant potential of these technologies for solving various environmental problems is confirmed. Many software products used in the field of ecology are associated with the use of GIS (geographic information systems) [1], the first period of their development began in the 1950s and 1970s with active topographic surveys [2], which in the later 1980s prompted the arrival of government customers to create commercial products using databases. Some key aspects that stand out from these studies include: 1. Monitoring of the state of the environment: Application of modern information technologies: satellite imaging; collection of environmental parameters; registration sensors; the accumulation of observation data and their analysis allows to get an idea, mostly expressed in quantitative estimates, about the state of air, water and soil pollution, as well as about changes or their trends in landscapes and biocenosis. This allows you to effectively identify problem areas and respond to environmental threats in a timely manner. 2. Forecasting environmental events: The use of analytical methods and algorithms of artificial intelligence makes it possible to predict the development of environmental crises, such as natural disasters, climate change, and the destruction of ecosystems. It helps to develop strategies to prevent and minimize negative impact on the environment. 3. Resource and waste management: Information technology is used to optimize the use of natural resources, as well as for efficient waste management and renewable energy sources. This helps to conserve resources and reduce the negative impact on the environment. 4. Public participation and education: Information technologies allow raising public awareness of environmental problems, facilitating the dissemination of information and stimulating active public participation in environmental protection programs. 5. Innovative solutions: The latest technologies, such as blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as developments in the field of bioinformatics and nanotechnology, open up new opportunities for solving complex environmental problems and ensuring sustainable development.

Disaster recovery plan implementation evaluation model at the corporation

The application of information technology in addition to making internal business processes more effective and efficient, is also to improve customer service. This role is important for companies to maintain the sustainability of information systems as a strategic tool for competitive advantage so system availability is absolutely essential. Research related to the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) needs to be carried out to see the readiness of a corporation to build a backup system in different places and locations. By using the method of factor analysis and regression analysis to form an evaluation model, it will obtain an overview of what factors must be considered and what the current conditions are. The results of the study show that there are Core Technical DRP, Organizational Preparation, and Costing factors which are the main variables in supporting DRP readiness. The conclusion from this study, through these three new factors a mathematical model can be built as a reference for improving DRP implementation in corporations.

The Inheritance and Development of Ethnic Folk Dance in Dance Teaching under the Background of Informatization

Abstract With the arrival of the informationization era, the inheritance and development of ethnic folk dance in dance teaching faces new challenges and opportunities. This paper discusses effectively inheriting and developing ethnic folk dance under informationization. The research methodology includes the Analysis of folk dance movement characteristics, movement capture and feature extraction based on Kinect acquisition technology. The results show that the dancer’s movement data can be accurately recorded by Kinect capture technology, and the error of capture coordinates can be minimized up to 1.115. The study also finds that the dance movement features can be effectively extracted using Gaussian Mixture Model Background Subtraction and Median Filtering preprocessing techniques. In addition, the “Trinity Teaching Assistive Technology” proposed in this study can improve teaching quality. The application of information technology not only promotes the scientific and standardized teaching of folk dance, but also helps improve students’ skills and creativity.

Transformação da filosofia educacional: uma avaliação da inovação na gestão do ensino superior no contexto do Big Data

Abstract: With the modern information society’s rapid development, Big Data (BD) has brought great convenience to residents’ lives. Under the background of BD, the application of information technology in various fields has become a trend. Through the transformation of educational philosophy, Higher Education Management (HEM) has also taken on new characteristics and generated new development directions. This article explored the shortcomings and reasons of traditional HEM work, pointed out current problems in it and explained the necessity of innovation in it. This article also analyzed the advantages and development of BD technology in management work. Through the new ideas, methods and tools brought by Big Data technology to Higher Education Management, it was demonstrated that BD technology supported the development of innovative teaching mode, provided a positive learning environment and reduces management costs. Based on the characteristics of HEM work and the advantages of BD technology, innovative research was conducted to analyze students’ learning efficiency and enthusiasm to illustrate the innovative effect of HEM work. BD technology, including Artificial Intelligence and precise and flexible management, brings new ideas, methods and tools to HEM, effectively improving efficiency, enhancing students’ happiness and reducing labor management costs. They support the development of innovative teaching models, offer university students a positive learning environment and cut down on management costs.

INFORMATION SYSTEMS OF THE MOBILE ENVIRONMENTAL MONITOR OF THE DNISTER CANYON

The relevance of the article lies in the development of a mobile environmental monitoring system and the features of creating an algorithm using aerospace technologies. A methodology for determining environmental risk zones is proposed, which is based on the methods of ranking environmental indicators during the assessment of the ecological safety of the ecosystem using multispectral characteristics of space images. This scientific and methodical approach allows to determine the environmental risk zones by combining various environmental indicators into a complex (scalar) indicator. Using the capabilities of GIS for regional cartographic constructions and the subsequent system of groundwater protection assessments, pre-created electronic maps of the power of the aeration zone and the structure of the lithological composition of its rocks on a scale of 1:1000,000 were used to perform this type of work. Each of the electronic maps involved for these buildings, underwent preliminary processing, which included the generalization of selected subdivisions. An ecological map of the Dniester Canyon under the influence of anthropogenic factors was constructed. This provided an opportunity for further ecological forecasting of the territory based on the application of information technologies. The application of the developed mobile environmental monitoring system allows for a prompt response to changes in the ecosystem and more accurate and efficient management of natural resources. This system helps not only to identify areas of environmental risk but also to develop adequate measures to minimize them. It provides an integrated approach to monitoring, taking into account various aspects of the environmental situation, from the state of water resources to the level of air pollution, and helps to make informed decisions at the level of local and regional authorities.

Applicability of information technology in the design and operation of water supply and wastewater systems in Russia: A review

The article examines the role of information technology in the design and operation of water supply and wastewater systems. Noted that the history of the water supply development in Russia went back many centuries. At the same time, the first urban water supply projects were developed jointly by architects and engineers over several years; today, project development takes much less time, since in the modern world information technology has become an integral part of various industries, significantly improving the efficiency and quality of processes. The Renga functional was analyzed, algorithm for adding a new category of engineering equipment is proposed.

Modelling smart machining process towards intelligent manufacturing - a case study

According to the concept of Industry 4.0 (even Industry 5.0) managers strive to improve production by applying information technologies and next integrating them into operational technologies, that’s enabled to transform the traditional into Intelligent Manufacturing (IM). Introduction of these changes is particularly important to improve the machining process, which is complex and dynamic. In this article the smart machining process is modelled and demonstrated for a real-world case, namely manufacturing of the die casting mould in order to increase life of the die casting mould. Therefore, firstly, the data was acquired based on the applied within a company information system and additionally on the IoT sensors from the diecasting machines, the moulds themselves and the process parameters which are used during the manufacturing process of the diecasting parts from such mould. Next, a model for predicting the life of the die-casting mould using regression analysis, based on acquired data was applied. The results of mould design and mould manufacturing process are ultimately visible on the die casting machines. Such gathered data is used to model the prediction of the possibilities for increasing life of the die casting was elaborated.

Educational technology will shift from technological care to humanistic care, forming a new “cultural view of educational technology” and entering the post educational technology era. The field of educational technology must move beyond a static mindset centered on information technology application and venture into the realm of an innovative educational ecology. During the construction of this new educational ecology, unique theoretical and practical innovation models should be introduced. It is through this proactive approach that the discipline of educational technology can genuinely demonstrate its value and contribute to the “big education discipline’s” establishment and growth. Currently, at present, attention should be paid to the practice of educational informatization. This entails meticulously summarizing novel insights and experiences in educational informationization and digital transformation, discerning underlying development patterns, and elevating them into innovative theories and methodologies. Special attention should be given to breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, exploring the implications of big data models and generative artificial intelligence for education. Furthermore, there is a necessity to expand both the knowledge system and practical applications within the discipline of educational technology.

APPLICATION OF NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE PROCESS OF PEDAGOGICAL SOFTWARE

The use of new information technologies in practically every field of activity in modern society defines the need for the development of elements of students’ creative imagination. In the digital environment, the cognitive motivation of students is strengthened. The changes introduced by new information technologies in the development of students can have a cognitive, emotional, and motivational nature and affect their temperament and individual characteristics. One of the essential arguments accompanying the introduction of new information technologies in teaching is directly related to the increase in their educational and cognitive activity, which is expressed in the complexity of educational tasks, considering the capabilities of learners, as well as the choice of the maximum learning rate, the effectiveness of control, the increase of objectivity, and especially in the process of organizing pedagogical software tools. Partial methodologies based on the application of new information technologies are used in the process of pedagogical software tools, depending on the educational goals or educational situations. In one case, it is necessary to understand the needs of the learner more deeply; in another case, the analysis of knowledge in the field of the relevant subject is important, as well as accounting for the psychological principles of learning. Accordingly, the use of new information technologies in the field of education as a means of disseminating information contributes to faster and fuller assimilation and dissemination of the material.
