The digital transformation process has been systematically implemented across all fields of education and training, significantly impacting all activities of universities in Vietnam. Digital technology has changed the way lecturers access, deliver, and assess knowledge for university students. Digital competence is also crucial for lecturers to research and apply advanced teaching methods, from using online platforms to analyzing data to personalize the learning process for students. The purpose of this study is to develop a framework of digital competence for university lecturers in Vietnam and to identify the current status of digital competence among university lecturers in Vietnam. The study used a quantitative research method with a survey sample of 180 lecturers representing 10 universities from 4 regions of Vietnam.
