Eclecticism in Language Teaching: Developing Educational and Methodological Content for an English Language Qualification Course Using Artificial Intelligence

The following article provides an in-depth analysis of the utilization of an eclectic approach in foreign language instruction, particularly emphasizing the creation of educational and methodological materials for an advanced training program catered to English teachers, integrating artificial intelligence. This course curriculum is tailored for educators who lack prior experience in utilizing and instructing English to enhance their professional competencies and improve the overall efficacy of the educational process. The article offers valuable insights into the potential benefits and challenges of using AI in language education, shedding light on the evolving nature of language teaching in the digital age. The growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education is causing a significant shift in teaching methods, especially in language instruction. The study explores the educational content of an advanced training course designed to equip secondary school teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to teach English using AI technologies effectively. Thirty-two teachers of schools in Almaty, Kazakhstan, participated in the pilot part of the test of the content of the course and studied according to the developed course for six weeks. The course takes a comprehensive approach, including theoretical principles, practical use of AI tools, and hands-on experience. Focusing on interactive learning, ongoing evaluation, and personalized assistance, the method aims to seamlessly enhance teachers' ability to incorporate AI into their lessons.

EXPERIENCE-ORIENTED TRAINING CONTENT FOR ADVANCING THE QUALIFICATIONS OF UNIVERSITY LECTURERS

The article touches upon the eliminating contradictions between the potential of professional knowledge of young people, practical experiences of production specialists working in higher educational institutions and the empirical idea of professional and pedagogical competencies that contribute to the development of cognitive and personal skills and competencies of students in the educational process. In order to form and develop the above-mentioned personal qualities the authors have developed a level based professional development program for young and experienced university lecturers, the content of educational courses and the methodology of modern training. The level based educational program has been developed for three years. The content of the educational material of the second training module is aimed at developing innovative teaching methods and the final module allows them to study the methodology and monitoring of conducting pedagogical research. The practice of using active exercises as methodological methods at the beginning of classes allowed increasing motivation for educational and cognitive activity and improving the psychological state of students. Upon completion of the level training courses, students will be given the opportunity to perform project work on training modules and test themselves in readiness for transformative activities. The results of the work on the development of the content of the course program and the methods of teaching students at the courses can be useful for teachers, managers of advanced training courses at the university

Dementia Training for Nurses in Acute Care Settings: Impacts and Barriers.

The provision of consistent, high-quality dementia care training for healthcare professionals in acute care hospital settings has been largely overlooked until recent years. This study was designed to investigate the effect of current healthcare professional dementia care training courses on related knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy in hospital nurses and to understand their training-related experiences, willingness, and perceived barriers. Using a cross-sectional design, 201 nurses were recruited from a teaching medical center in Taiwan. A questionnaire was developed by the researchers to evaluate knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy related to caring for people with dementia and to elucidate participant experiences and preferences regarding dementia care training courses. Five academic and clinical dementia care experts held three content validity evaluation rounds for the developed questionnaire. Inferential statistics were used to compare the knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy related to caring for people with dementia between participants who had and had not attended a dementia care training course. Nearly all (96.5%) of the participants had prior experience caring for people with dementia, but only 25.9% and 7.0% respectively reported haven taken basic and advanced healthcare professional dementia care training courses. Those who had taken either the basic or advanced course earned higher mean knowledge scores than those who had taken neither (p = .009 and p = .027, respectively). Time constraints and scheduling conflicts were identified as the major barriers to attending dementia care training (n = 164, 81.6%). The participants who had attended either the basic or advanced healthcare professional dementia care training course were found to have better dementia care knowledge than those who had not. Stakeholders should work to further reduce the barriers faced by nurses to attending essential dementia care training.

Use of a handheld system for interventional ultrasound with puncture and biopsy in an in vitro liver model.

Ultrasound-guided interventions (such as biopsies) of unclear lesions are indicated if microcirculatory changes indicate possible malignant lesions. These place high demands on the ultrasound device used. In order to potentially reduce the often associated high technical effort, the wireless ultrasound device Vscan AirTM was examined as a possible ultrasound device for the intervention biopsy. As part of an advanced training course on Computertomographie- and ultrasound-guided biopsy and ablation procedures, participants were asked about the image quality of the handheld device used by means of questionnaires. Various lesions were evaluated at a depth of 1.0 to 5.0 cm in an in vitro liver model. The image quality was evaluated independently before, during and after the intervention. The rating scale contained values from 0 (no assessment possible) to 5 (maximum high image quality). A high-end device was used as a reference. A total of 11 participants took part in the study (n = 4 male [36.4%], n = 7 female [63.6%]). A total of five tumor like lesions at different depths (1 cm, 2 cm, 3 cm, 4 cm, >4 cm) were assessed separately. In all cases, an adequate biopsy of the target lesion (1 cm in length, core filling 5 mm) was successful. From a depth of 3 cm, the image quality of the mobile device increasingly decreased, but the image quality of the high-end system was still not impaired. Compared to the high-end device, there was a highly significant difference in image quality from a depth of 3 cm (p < 0.01). Assessment by inexperienced examiners using a handheld device was adequately possible. Mobile interventional ultrasound represents a potential alternative for the biopsy of unclear tumorous lesions with microcirculatory disorders with limited depth localization.

Features of human capital development and communication

The purpose of this study is to study the sustainability of the personnel management system in the Russian Railways company by analyzing its personnel policy, as well as determining the impact of communication in the team and professional skills on the quality of management decisions. Based on the method of statistical observation of quantitative indicators of the personnel structure of the staff, the following indicators were determined: a change in the percentage of age groups, a change in the percentage of age groups and the level of education of employees. Based on the above indicators, it is possible to track the dynamics of the quality level of personnel management and its impact on the internal personnel processes of the company, and it is also possible to identify the relationship between professional competencies and communications on decisions made by employees. To achieve these goals, a study of generational guidelines, communication in the team, in particular between the immediate supervisor and a specialist, the impact of innovative approaches to training on improving the professional skills of employees, improving the quality of work and relationships in the team was conducted. We will consider various innovative teaching methods such as advanced training courses, retraining, distance learning system and their impact on the professional development of employees. It will also analyze how innovative approaches to learning contribute to the formation of a positive work environment and improve communication in the team. As a result of the research, it will be revealed which specific innovative methods can be most effective in achieving the goals of the organization. The optimal way of developing professional skills and competencies of employees, which can improve the quality of work, is also proposed. The choice of this topic is due to the inherent importance of human capital in the context of achieving the company’s strategic goals. In today’s business world, where competition is becoming more and more acute, the key factor for success is the quality of staff and their professional level. The introduction of innovative approaches in personnel management and building corporate culture is a necessary step to ensure competitiveness and successfully overcome the challenges of the modern market.

Learning and Control Platform “Kahoot!”: Theory and Usage Features in ASIPCS

The study examined the place of modern information technologies in education and the importance of “gamification” technology in the organization of secondary and higher education. It was revealed that the most common educational monitoring platform, “Kahoot,” has significant advantages compared to traditional approaches to organizing the educational process. The use of this platform in the process of training bachelors and masters, as well as in advanced training courses for coaches at the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport (ASIPCS), showed great interest among students in the “Kahoot” service, a high assessment of the capabilities of this platform in training, consolidation, and control of theoretical knowledge.

Nephrology Partnership for Advancing Technology in Healthcare (N-PATH) Erasmus+ project: The Renal Expert in Vascular Access (REVAC) module.

The Renal Expert in Vascular Access (REVAC) is one of the four modules of the Nephrology Partnership for Advancing Technology in Healthcare (N-PATH) project, the first European-wide advanced training course in diagnostics and interventional nephrology, funded by Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliance, a European Commission program. The N-PATH primary goal was to train 40 young European nephrologists in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to interventional nephrology. The REVAC module focused on the crucial aspects of vascular access (VA) care in nephrology practice, as a complementary training path to the actual residency program. The aim was to provide nephrology fellows with comprehensive knowledge and skills related to VA management. The methodology was based on face-to-face meetings and online learning, modern facilities, experienced tutors, cutting edge simulators, augmented reality tools by means of a multidisciplinary international faculty and hands-on-courses. A feedback survey reported the experience of fellows who attended the REVAC module, confirming the positive impact on their ongoing nephrology training. We are confident that this project will revitalize their nephrology careers and will help training the next generation of nephrologists; they will be able to manage VA needs with the help of multi-disciplinary teams to safely optimize the care of hemodialysis patients.

&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;An urgent problem of professional training of teaching staff is the formation of subjecthood of specialists and their willingness to form it among the younger generation. Monitoring of the formation of the stages of formation of subjecthood of teachers was carried out throughout 2022 and 2023 in the process of completing advanced training courses using the A.V. Kaptsov OSS-SV methodology. A total of 151 teachers participated in the study (M = 44.17; Sd = 4.95; 95.36% women). The studied educational workers are distinguished by the qualitative originality of the formation of the stages of the formation of subjecthood, namely: a high level of development of the &amp;ldquo;Motivated individual&amp;rdquo; stage and low indicators of the &amp;ldquo;Observer&amp;rdquo;, &amp;ldquo;Apprentice&amp;rdquo;, &amp;ldquo;Student&amp;rdquo;, &amp;ldquo;Critic&amp;rdquo;, &amp;ldquo;Master&amp;rdquo; and &amp;ldquo;Creator&amp;rdquo; stages. Respondents have developed motivation and lack of an instrumental basis for professional activity, difficulties in training and professional retraining. There is also a significant relationship between age and education with the level of formation of the stages of formation of subjecthood of teachers.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Planning a foreign language lesson using generative artificial intelligence technologies

Importance. The widespread use of generative artificial intelligence technologies has an impact on all stages of pedagogical activity, including the planning stage. Taking into account the language teaching features of artificial intelligence technologies, such as generativity and the ability to personalize the curriculum, it is necessary to note a significant increase in educational motivation when teaching a foreign language. This circumstance also explains the active surge in the use of generative artificial intelligence technologies by students when preparing homework or preparing for classroom classes. On the part of a foreign language teacher, there is a slightly different picture due to the lack of advanced training courses on the use of modern means of teaching a foreign language or a banal reluctance to learn something new, allowing to depart from traditional teaching methods. The purpose of this study is to determine the suitability of generative artificial intelligence technologies for pedagogical planning of a foreign language lesson.Research Methods. At the first stage, in order to conduct research to identify the effectiveness of the use of generative artificial intelligence technologies in planning a foreign language lesson, the following theoretical methods are used: the study and analysis of academic and educational literature on the integration of modern technologies into foreign languages teaching methods, comparison and synthesis of the studied information. The second stage involves the use of empirical research methods: observation, description, survey and content analysis, which allows us to study the suitability of generative intelligence technologies for pedagogical planning in preparation for foreign language classes.Definition of Concepts. The main concepts in this study are “curriculum”, “scenario of an educational lesson”, “pedagogical planning”, “technologies of generative artificial intelligence”.Results and Discussion. The conducted survey among students has revealed statistical data on the basis of which the suitability of a certain type of generative artificial intelligence technologies is determined when planning a foreign language lesson. Based on the analysis of the generated scenario, the advantages and disadvantages of these technologies are identified. The advantages include: a) the development of creative abilities; b) access to authentic materials; c) increased visibility and visualization of learning; d) the development of interdisciplinary skills; e) the efficiency of monitoring the achievements of students. Possible problems in planning the learning process using generative artificial intelligence technologies include: a) low level of ICT competence; b) low level of teaching methods competence; c) generativity as a language teaching property of artificial intelligence technologies; d) limited functionality of technologies and narrowly focused application in practice.Conclusion. The use of generative artificial intelligence technologies when planning a foreign language lesson allows to create a basis or template blanks of a curriculum or a scenario of an educational lesson, which subsequently acquire teaching methods components with the direct participation of a teacher. The results obtained in the course of the study can be used in foreign language teaching methods using generative artificial intelligence technologies.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ADVANCED TRAINING COURSES FOR TEACHERS IN FIELD OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the effectiveness of advanced training courses for teachers aimed at developing emotional intelligence, as well as to assess their impact on the professional growth of teachers and improve practical skills in managing emotions and interpersonal relationships in an educational environment. The study was conducted using diagnostic and final testing, as well as feedback from course participants. Diagnostic testing was conducted before the start of the course to assess the initial level of knowledge about emotional intelligence, and final testing was conducted at the end of the course to measure changes in the level of knowledge. Feedback from the trainees was used to assess the satisfaction with the courses and their perception. The test results showed a statistically significant improvement in the level of teachers' knowledge about emotional intelligence after completing the course. Diagnostic testing revealed that initially a significant part of the teachers lacked basic information on this topic. The final testing demonstrated a significant increase in awareness and understanding of the concepts of emotional intelligence. Feedback from the course participants confirms the positive perception of the material and its practical significance for professional activity. The refresher course has demonstrated its high effectiveness in improving teachers' knowledge of emotional intelligence and their practical skills in managing emotions and interpersonal relationships. The results of the study emphasize the importance of including emotional intelligence topics in educational programs for teachers, which contributes to their professional growth and improving the quality of the educational process.

Educational trajectories individualization in high medical and pharmaceutical education: the particularities of representation and the perspectives of the subject-oriented educational environment construction

Introduction. Contemporary university is transferring from retranslation of knowledge in the frame of socially determined requirements to cultural universum, oriented to the formation of a student individuality and, moreover, subjectness. The student with his educational needs, which can be satisfied only in the terms of subject-oriented environment, is placed in the center of the system. The aim of the research is to identify the elements of educational trajectories individualization and to estimate the possibilities of construction of subject-oriented educational environment in medical and pharmaceutical high education in Russia. Research methods. The methodology is based on a combination of the system-functional and praxeological approaches with elements of socio-cultural analysis. The study includes a comparative quantitative and qualitative analysis, content analysis of the representations of the individualization of educational trajectories (websites and Internet materials) of medical and pharmaceutical universities subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Health. Research results. It was revealed that the information about individualization of educational trajectories is provided by the 30 % of the universities subordinated to the Ministry of Health. Individualization is widely represented through the choice of electives, courses of additional professional education and advanced training (59%), level differentiation of the content of disciplines (52%). Individualization is not as commonly represented as the student’s elite education trajectories (8.7%), individual practices, internships and the choice of a mentor / tutor (6.5%), involvement in the formation of soft skills based on competence centers (19.6%). Identified elements can be considered as the elements of the subject-oriented educational environment in the case of their digital integrated maintenance. Conclusion. The individualization of educational trajectories implementation in high education is related to construction of the subject-oriented environment that can be identified in medical and pharmaceutical universities through the particular elements represented various ways. The formation of the environment mentioned above perspectives closely connected not only with the complex approach to the individualization of educational trajectories elements but similarly with the integrated digital educational landscape of a university.

Distance Advanced Training of Preschool Teachers in Ukraine: Quantitative Indicators

The study highlights the stages of organizing distance learning advanced training courses. It is a quantitative analysis of preschool teachers who have completed advanced training courses under the «Education Care» educational program. For this research, theoretical empirical methods and the quantitative analysis of statistical data were used. It has been revealed that preschool teachers are responsible for teaching children in preschool and must periodically improve their skills. Most advanced training courses in Ukraine are held in a distance format. The article describes the stages that need to be implemented to organize advanced training courses in a distance format. For the quantitative analysis, Google Forms were used, which contained information about the registered participants. The data for the period July-September 2023 was analyzed. It has been found that 13456 people (preschool educational institution principals, methodologists, preschool teachers) have completed advanced training courses on the "EducationCare" educational program in Ukraine within three months. Most advanced training course participants are preschool teachers (9498 participants), 71% of the total participants. Based on the results of the advanced training courses, 958 participants received certificates, which is 7% of the total number of participants in three months. We believe that a survey of preschool education staff who have completed advanced training on the "EducationCare" educational program is a prospective study.

Formation of Competences of Librarian-Bibliographer — Popularizer of Open Science in Vocational Training

There is a lack of attention to the practical implementation by libraries of citizen science projects, science communication and popularization of open science, including outside the academic environment. This situation is due to their relatively recent appearance in the field of researchers’ attention, as well as to the insufficient formation of the necessary competencies among librarians (especially those who graduated before the introduction of competency-based bachelor’s degree programmes).The study aims to address two objectives: 1) identification of specific competences required for a popularizer of open science in a library; 2) development of a structural and functional model of formation of such competences in vocational training.The competences necessary for a librarian-bibliographer — popularizer of open science are proposed. They are related to project and communicative activities, social partnership, support of scientific research, formation and presentation of content, including media content. The methods of mass work are important, as well as the organization of multifunctional library space, its zoning and navigation in order to ensure the comfort of users needed for the organization of citizen science hubs or centers of scientific cooperation. The structural and functional model of formation of such competences in the framework of additional professional education is presented, taking into account the presence of the following factors: previous unsystematized knowledge, skills and abilities based on the librarian’s work experience; theoretical and practical training; application of the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities in practical activities immediately after successful completion of the advanced training course. Such realization is based both on the presence of external motivation of the librarian and on his/her knowledge of open science (most often related to the concept of open access) and principles of its functioning. Interactive forms and technologies are noted, including in the assessment phase, using remote working tools to keep the trainees motivated as well as integrating them into the open science environment. In addition, the specific working conditions of the librarian should be analyzed when selecting tasks — this can be a decisive factor in the personal interest of the learner. The basis for the implementation and testing of this approach is laid in three modules of the advanced training course “Library for Open Science” of the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The results of the course show a high degree of development of skills linked to communication and project activities, but further adaptation of the material related to the legal framework is required.

Spiritual-value guidelines in the educational process: the way to a mature self-concept

The educational process in modern conditions requires not only a high level of professional knowledge and skills from teachers, but also the presence of a mature self - concept based on spiritual and value orientations. This issue becomes particularly relevant today as teachers are seen as agents of change who can influence the future of society. The article under review is devoted to the study of the role of spiritual and value orientations in the formation of a mature self - concept among teachers. In the context of modern social and cultural changes, special attention is paid to developing a harmonious and spiritually mature personality. The analysis of previous studies in this area revealed unresolved aspects, which have become the subject of the current research. The problem of spiritual and value orientations of teachers as a pathway to a mature self - concept is thoroughly explored. For the empirical study, a sample of 420 individuals was formed. These individuals were taking advanced training courses at the Central Institute of Postgraduate Education of the state higher education institution «University of Management of Education» of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv. The author's method «The Value of Self - сreation» was utilized in the research, aimed at studying the spiritual and valuable component of the teachers' self - concept. Additionally, the unconditional self - acceptance questionnaire by J. Chamberlain and D. Haaga (2001), adapted by O. Bondarchuk, N. Pinchuk, and O. Prokopenko, was used. The survey was conducted using Google forms. The study's results highlight the importance of spiritual and value orientations in developing a mature self - concept among teachers. The study also points to the need for further scientific exploration in this area to gain a more detailed understanding of the relationship between spiritual values and the professional activities of teachers.

Experience of Introducing Mixed and Hybrid Training for Health Professionals into Continuing Professional Education System

Introduction. One of the most relevant topics in the development of a modern training model in the system of continuing professional education for health professionals is the implementation of mixed and hybrid education. This approach combines the advantages of in-person interaction with the lecturer and the convenience of distance learning. The purpose of this article was to describe the experience of introducing mixed and hybrid training for medical specialists into additional professional education programs as well as to find out their satisfaction with new education formats. Materials and methods. In order to assess the satisfaction degree with mixed and hybrid education of students attending continuing professional education and advanced training courses, a sociological study based on questionnaire data was carried out. The results show that the majority of students prefer mixed and hybrid forms of education. It may indicate the relevance of integrating traditional and modern approaches into the educational process in order to comply with the preferences of students and provide them with conditions, which enable successful learning.

Monitoring the Training of School Management Teams in Educational Institutions of the Novosibirsk Region

Introduction. The article discusses topical problems of team building typical for state educational organizations. The problems of team formation, formal leadership and the differences between a team and a working group are considered. The purpose of this article is to present the methodological grounds for the use of team building in the management activities of school leaders, as well as to show the monitoring of the training of management teams in the Novosibirsk region. Methodology. The study of the possibilities of using the technology of team building in the organization of innovative activities of teachers of educational organizations (on the example of management teams of schools in the Novosibirsk region) was carried out in several stages: organizational, diagnostic, approbation, and reflexive-evaluative. The purpose of the monitoring was to study the conditions created for the professional growth of members of school management teams at the regional and municipal levels, as well as the demand for various forms of training. Also, in the course of monitoring, information was collected on organizations that train management teams. Results. The analysis of the information provided has shown that the heads of general educational organizations and representatives of municipal educational authorities often do not understand what the concept of “training of management teams” includes and often replace it with a referral to advanced training courses and training events of the group. Conclusion. The monitoring recorded the need to form a system of work at the regional and municipal levels to organize the training of school management teams. Heads of educational institutions should consciously approach the issues of team building and assess the need to create a team based on the actual need.

СИСТЕМЫ ИСКУССТВЕННОГО ИНТЕЛЛЕКТА В СФЕРЕ ОБРАЗОВАНИЯ: ОТНОШЕНИЕ ПРЕПОДАВАТЕЛЕЙ (НА ПРИМЕРЕ ВОЛГГТУ)

The article describes the results of an exploratory research on the basis of Volgograd State Technical University. The empirical object of the study was teachers - students of advanced training courses in the field of digital technologies. The purpose of the study is to identify the attitude of teachers to the wide introduction of digital technologies using artificial intelligence in the educational process. It is shown that different age groups of faculty members demonstrate a rather loyal attitude to digital educational tools, which does not depend much on age. This is confirmed not only by the high level of mastery of digital technologies, but also by the effectiveness of their use in the educational process. Adherence to modern digital tools also does not show a noticeable relationship with the scientific and publication activity of teachers.

Systems of linear equations and the theory of divisibility in the structure of mathematical competence of a chemistry teacher

This article is dedicated to the analysis of the role of linear algebraic models and related divisibility theory issues in the mathematical activity of a chemistry teacher. The work has investigated the place and informational-logical connections of linear algebraic models in the system of mathematical competence of a chemistry teacher and has justified its significance. Examples from the school chemistry course have been given, where systems of linear algebraic equations have been actively used both over the field of real numbers and over the ring of integers. Various scenarios for solving problems, in fact reduced to linear algebraic models, have been illustrated. Such tasks have included classic problems with many reagent components as well as setting coefficients in complex chemical equations. The advantages and disadvantages of synthetic methods using chemical reasoning and formal algebraic methods have been analyzed. It has been substantiated that the teacher needed to understand the mathematical essence of the corresponding models to generate any solution and guide the students' corresponding work. The possibility of applying the basics of number theory in teaching chemistry has been shown. An analysis of the possession of relevant mathematical skills of working chemistry teachers has been conducted. Approaches were developed to improve the level of chemistry teachers’ skills of solving and analyzing systems of linear equations with real and integer variables in the conditions of postgraduate pedagogical education of teachers. The results, obtained in the work, have shown the need for an analysis of mathematics curricula in pedagogical and classical universities, sections related to linear algebra, as well as the introduction of the basics of number theory into mathematics curricula. The need to introduce mathematical training into the system of advanced training of chemistry teachers has been proven. Possible further research on this topic is related to the active implementation of blocks of linear algebraic models into the courses of advanced training of chemistry teachers and further analysis of their effectiveness

MATHEMATICAL COMPETENCE MODEL OF A TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

The purpose of the article is to define the structure and build a model of the mathematical competence of a teacher of technological education, develop methods for its parametric identification, analyze the results of the testing of the proposed methods of measuring mathematical competence. The conducted research was based on theoretical methods of system analysis, pedagogical modeling, as well as experimental methods of sample research, methods of statistical analysis of experimental data, in particular, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. As a result of the study, a reasonable definition of the mathematical competence of a teacher of technological education is given, its components are highlighted: operational-arithmetic (arithmetic), geometric, mathematical modeling, analytical-statistical, which determine the functions of mathematical activity of a teacher of technological education. A hierarchical structure of the content of mathematical competence has been built, it is justified that it should contain three levels: basic, medium, high. It is shown that a basic level of mathematical competence is sufficient to ensure the main work of a teacher in the technological education field. A structural model of the mathematical competence of a teacher of the technological educational field was built, in which information connections between the subject-professional activity of a teacher of the technological educational field, his/her scientific and analytical activity, components of mathematical competence and the system of forming its content are reflected. The value of the index of the basic level of mathematical competence was evaluated as the probability of coping with a randomly selected task from the population of tasks related to the teacher's work functions, the average value of which is 0.63. It is estimated that approximately 70% of technology education teachers can solve more than half of the basic level problems. The correlational dependence between the results from the mathematical modeling components and the arithmetic component was revealed. The main problematic mathematical questions for teachers of technological education are also revealed. The practical significance of the study is that the obtained results allow to improve the system of training future teachers of the technological educational field, in particular their mathematical training, as well as to adjust the content of postgraduate pedagogical education of teachers. The main conclusions of the study include that it is the basic level of mathematical competence that is necessary for the realization of the functions of a teacher of the technological educational field, and also that at least 30% of the teachers of the technological educational field need the development of mathematical competence. Therefore, possible further explorations involve the implementation of trainings, special courses, blocks of practical classes at advanced training courses for technological education teachers to develop their mathematical competence and analyze their effectiveness.
