The article consists of a detailed evaluation of fiber-matrix composite materials and their importance in the modern field of engineering and manufacture. It consists of detailed information about the various fabrication and electric discharge machining processes that can help in the shaping, cutting and contouring of the fiber-matrix composite work pieces. The article also evaluates the importance of and usage of drill geometry and drilling tools or bits that can be extensively used to further shape and cut the fibre-composite work pieces. Electrical discharge machining processes are not meant for fiber-matrix composites. But still, it can be used for their cutting purposes, given that the composite material has some sort of metallic compound or conductivity within them. Wires cutting electrical discharge machining and cross-linking cellulosic fabrication are the optimal processes for fiber-matrix composite materials.
