It has been shown that the interaction between a 4p hole and an unfilled 4f subshell, as suggested by Sakellaridis, is not able to explain the presence of the satellite Lγ10 reported in the literature. This satellite has been observed in L-emission spectra of the elements with Z = 55–68, except for Z = 61 and 66. It has been further established that the transition L1M3 → M3N1, assigned earlier to this satellite by Deodhar and Rai, is also unacceptable. As a possible explanation, this satellite has now been assigned to the radiative Auger transition L1 → N4N41S0.
