Abstract
Yunus Emre has become a character that is known as sufi master who had lived between XIIIth and XIVth centuries, and that has maintained his existence with its all effects until today. He has gained a seat in memories as adviser who has instilled to be hopeful and patient to Turkish nation in any case through his poems, hymns and ghazal and who spoke/called in line with sufistic teachings/doctrines. This article targets to present and interpret the concept ‘‘patience and ethics/morals’’ on Yunus Emre based on poems in ‘‘Diwan’’ of Yunus Emre. Although studies about ethic element on Yunus Emre have been carried out until today, yet it is seen that there has been no patience- and ethic-oriented study. Therefore, the sufi poem used also images of patience and ethics like a lot of concepts in his teachings and he built his ideas along this line. Contribution of which this study would make to the literature will also reveal effect of teachings-oriented patience and ethics on sufistic field/area. Purpose of the study is to examine and analysis these poems based on a deep teaching, and the study was presented by method of conceptual analysis and interpretation.
