Abstract
Objectives: Describe compliance and analyze some factors affecting the adherence to safe intravenous injection procedures of nurses at Ngoc General Hospital, Kon Tum province in 2022. Research Methods: Cross-sectional description combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Results: 61.7% of injections achieved safe injection. The percentage of nurses complying with the safe intravenous procedure was 37.5%. The factors that positively affect the nurse's adherence to safe intravenous injection procedures are experience, patient safety training, and regular supervision of safe injection practices. Negative influencing factors include: Age, intravenous procedure, narrow infrastructure, lack or failure of lighting equipment. Recommendation: The hospital rearranges the number of beds in accordance with the area of each department, ensuring lighting equipment. Review, develop and standardize safe intravenous injection procedures, strengthen compliance monitoring mechanisms and train and update patient safety knowledge for nurses.
