Abstract

is first coined as a new phrase in sports education and Olympic research literature in 1970s. Right after the creator of the Olympic Movement; Coubertin, Olympic education studies has been supported and has a continuous development in the world. The aim of improving Olympic education programs is to bring in values like; Olympic ideals in the sense of human solidarity, based on tolerance and fair-play to develop mutual respect, to respect different cultures and protection of environment and human personality to the rich. The aim of this study is to obtain information about the philosophy of Olympic Education’s varying and developing meaning. To reach this aim the questionnaire form filled up by 65 Country’s participants in the 46th International Young Partcipants Session in 2006. After getting the results although the olympic education needs a collective endeavour, in the world and also in Turkey it is difficult to tell it has an enough collaboration. These programmes must be done in all the grades of the education system.
