Abstract
The state and trends of changes in the development of multimodal transportation in Ukraine are considered. The existing system of international transport and communications of Ukraine is investigated. The issues of prospects for the development of container transportation of goods are considered. The main problems that impede the development of multimodal transportation in Ukraine are identified, and the necessary measures to address them are identified. The aim of the study is the process of organizing multimodal rail transport, identifying development problems in modern conditions. The research method consists in analyzing the phenomena and processes occurring in the process of organizing multimodal transportation. Results. A study of the state of multimodal transport in Ukraine, the main problems are outlined. Practical value: certain advantages and ways of organizing multimodal transportation in Ukraine are proposed
