Abstract
The equilibrium exchange of UO 2 2+ ions with the hydrogen forms of amorphous, semicrystalline and crystalline zirconium phosphate at ionic strength 0·30 and 0·15 M has been studied at 25, 50, 80, 100, 175 and 250°C. Thermodynamic equilibrium constants and changes of free energy, enthalpy and entropy were evaluated from the ion-exchange isotherms. The differences in thermodynamic quantities for zirconium phosphate samples of various crystallinities are discussed.
