Abstract
The mobilities of Na +, K +, Rb +, Cs +, Ca 2+, Sr 2+ and Ba 2+ ions in nearly homoionic forms of Hector clinoptilolite have been measured by radiochemical means. Self-diffusion coefficients at various temperatures were determined, enabling the calculation of energies, entropies and free energies of activation for cation migration in the zeolite framework. Some measurements were made on an Itaya clinoptilolite in its K form. Comments are made on possible ions sitings.
